just gonna post this bc i could never come up with a spirally background i liked & i dont want this to die in my saves folder

#literally therapy to open up blender and draw something in grease pencil #there are a bunch of bacgrounds for this.. some of them even 3D because i thought mixxing 3d and 2d would be cool and spirally #but i couldnt do it in a way that was stylistically pleasing to me so #i give up and here he is #blender #grease pencil #hardly animation #its one frame with a noise and envelop modifier #but what can i say i love doing that #michael shelley #tma #michael distortion #ive had the idea for a while to make a cool michael animatic in blender mixxing 3d and 2d with a bunch of modifiers and 3d fuckery but i #dont want to commit to doing it until i really flesh it out in my head and think i can doit justice so its just gonna be one of those thing #i never do #damn im really yapping in these tags im hittin post now #my art

This has been chilling in my mind since I first saw ZivaZivcs comic and I finally got the energy to make it XD

#my art #dreamworks trolls #trolls 3 #trolls band together #john dory #creek trolls #the orange troll is actually a deleted troll from the og movie known as Aspen Heitz #he has green hair in 3d and blue in 2d so i mixed the colors to get the hair i used here #any way #also i used chongos comic as like a reference for the posing and stuff #and like this is what it looks like in the comic but when put into trolls #it lind of looks like Aspen is like comforting his boyfriend creek #and i did not intend for that i just noticed it while coloring and i was like welp #and did not fix it #maybe im just overthinking it #it may just be the closeness due to troll proportions #also the holding hands on the shoulder #but it was in the og so its here too #also i love the scary jd render #whyd they make him so scary ill never know but man does it make for good comedy #i was orginally gonna draw jd too but then when i sketched him he just looked like the render and i was like you know what-#i also thought of using a fake png but that qas too much #so you get real png jd

the ever after high specials might not have been perfect but at least they weren't animated in 3d

#bc i think fantasy works best in 2d animation #which is why the disney remakes are so hated by fans and critics #2d animation is best to suspend disbelief #for monster high 3d might have worked since there was sci fi mixed in #but i dont think it would have worked for eah #ever after high #eah
