okay but real question: what would their hero names be...........
Faor this was JOKES but now i've thought about it, arguably too hard lmao, and here's what i got:
If someone has to be ladybug and someone has to be chat and someone else has to be another canon kwami:
-Hardison is ladybug
-Parker is chat
-Eliot is Barrk (cuz dog!)
If someone doesn’t have to be chat or ladybug but all 3 have to be canon kwami:
-Hardison is Reynard Rouge (fox)
-Parker is Viperion or Aspik or some better name for a snake lol ummmm….serpentina? Serpentina!
-Eliot is Barrk (cuz…dog)
If they don’t have to be canon kwami:
-Hardison is Octo (an octopus, for some reason that sounds good to me)
-Parker is Chamaeleo (she’s a chameleon)
-Eliot is…..Barrk LOL or actually nah, lets make him Dire (cuz wolf!)

20 Questions for Fic Writers
heyyyy I was tagged by @snarky-wallflower for this thingy, and I don't typically do stuff like this but what the heck! This one looks fun, and I need a small break from finals.
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
Sixty-six! Nice round satanic number.
2. What’s your total word count?
Uhhh... 1,164,238. I think I broke a million back with Dream Come True. Wild stuff! Guess that's what happens when you do this nonstop for like four years.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Mostly Deltarune these days, obviously, but I also had a wonderful time in the Splatoon and DuckTales fandoms, as well as Miraculous Ladybug, My Little Pony, and a ton of smaller ones here and there.
4. Top 5 fics by kudos
Dare to Dream (Deltarune): A fun little Susie x Noelle romcom that takes place in a divergent chapter 2 timeline where Susie kisseed Noelle on the Ferris Wheel. Also the first fic in my mega-series Dream Come True, a 300,000 word epic that really kind of went off the rails. But don't worry about that! It's just a funny little romcom! Come closer!
F@#!, Marry, or Kill (Miraculous Ladybug): I am so mad that this is up here. This fic sucks. I wrote it when I was fourteen (hence my reluctance to say "fuck" in the title) and it's just the main characters of the show getting caught up in a game of Fuck-Marry-Kill that involves their own superhero identites, but nobody else knows that. It's a good way to leverage the dramatic irony of Miraculous Ladybug, I guess, but I hate that this was my most-kudoed fic for so long. I wrote it over SEVEN years ago. The only reason it got so popular is because back in 2016, the Miraculous Ladybug fandom was a sea of piranhas starved by the seemingly endless will-they won't-they of the show, ravenous for whatever scraps they could get their grimy little teeth on. Perfect example of why popularity doesn't always equate with quality.
People Write Fanfiction About Me? (Miraculous Ladybug): This one is actually good, even if it's also incredibly old. Basically, Marinette finds online RPF of her and her superhero partner that was obviously written by her superhero partner, and they get into a whole meta fanfiction war, and it gets worse from there. I like this one a lot even if it's in an outdated style: I think it's a good take on the identity reveal genre for the ML fandom.
Stealing Kisses (Deltarune): Not much to say on this one! It's a direct continuation of Dare to Dream, still part of the Dream Come True series, though it functions more as a drama than a straight romcom, which is only one of many tone shifts that this series eventually takes. It also contains Locker Biting Challenge (if you know you know), which I think is, to date, one of the funniest bits of situational comedy I've ever written, so it gets special notes for that.
Crossing the Streams (DuckTales): And this is my most popular DuckTales fic, to round out the set! It's a low-stakes / no-magic AU, where instead of going on daring adventures, the DuckTales kids stream FPS video games online, and are, like, famous streamers. I think its popularity was artificially boosted just a tad due to being in-progress when the series finale dropped, but I think it holds up! I had some good fun playing with identity, fame, and hidden relationships.
5. Do you respond to comments?
I--sometimes! Just not very often... Look, if someone asks me a question, or if I have something to actually say in response, or if the comment is particularly touching, I'll reply, but I'm just really bad at taking compliments! It feels very awkward to me to reply to every comment when I would basically just be going "Thanks so much, I'm glad you liked it!" ten times in a row. That's the only reason (<-Definitely doesn't have anxiety)
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I don't tend to do unhappy endings. Cold Case for sure, if it were finished, lmao. Although--I guess you could argue Stealing Kisses has a very angsty ending, though it isn't actually an ending since it's just a sequel-bait cliffhanger. But yeah, I'm going to cheat a little and say Cold Case. It should be finished soon, anyway! Hopefully!
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
That's hard to say considering the amount of romcoms I've written, but I think I'd actually have to go with the final mainline entry in my Splatoon series, Operation 24, which was The Wedding. It ends on a really sweet and poignant rooftop scene that I think is particularly uplifting, even compared to the endings of my other long-form romance fics.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Very rarely. I've gotten my share of transphobic comments -- welcome to the Internet! -- but thankfully they've been few and far between. I just delete them when they show up.
9. Do you write smut?
Yes, I have; no, you can't see it :p
10. Do you write crossovers?
I have written at least two crossover fics, so yes! I wouldn't exactly call it my genre, though. They're a little too niche and I like attention.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Oh boy. Yes, twice; the first was my Fuck Marry Kill fic for miraculous ladybug, which was ripped off and horribly butchered into a terrible version of the story by someone who IMMEDIATELY abandoned it to Orphan Account. Which is wild to me.
But the real creme of the crop was some kid on WattPad who copied large portions of my Operation 24 series, and then changed small and seemingly arbitrary details throughout to be more...train-centric? Like, all the characters would have strange and OOC dialog about trains in the middle of the romance. And then after a few chapters of that it did a total left-hand veer into a Thomas the Tank Engine / Harry Potter crossover that was utterly wild to behold. This whole saga is probably one of the weirdest things that has ever happened to me in my life and I'm honestly more bewildered than mad about it.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Wow, wouldn't that be cool! But no, along with getting a podfic this is one of those big fic-writer experiences that has elude me thusfar.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope! I don't really know how to co-write outside of RP, and I haven't ever really done RP. I'm not opposed to the concept of co-writing, but I think it's sort of difficult to make work with my writing style.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
While I'd love to give the PR-friendly answer of Suselle, I think it's gotta go to Miraculous Ladybug's Love Square. That show has haunted me for seven years and is showing no sign of stopping, and the fuckery it does with its main relationship is some utterly unrivaled Shakespearian nonsense. The way the fandom has built around the relationship is also very interesting, especially the way the fanfic scene has shifted as the show develops and its audience grows up.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?
If I want to finish a WIP, I will finish that WIP. The only ones that don't get finished are the ones I don't want to finish. This is the power of believing in yourself!
16. What are your writing strengths?
Dialog for sure--always has been--and also just, like, grammar? I do words good, as they say. I like to think I have a pretty well-rounded writing skillset at this point, though.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Definitely descriptive stuff like setting the scene. I have to really work to make sure my scenes are embodied in physical reality, and sometimes I just forget to describe new locations. It's just a fairly boring part of writing for me, so I don't like doing it.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?
I took six years of Spanish and have forgotten all of it, so this is unlikely at best. Spanish also uses em dashes instead of quotation marks to denote speaker changes, and while that is very linguistically interesting, it is also very confusing to me, specifically.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Uhhh... the first fandom I published was Miraculous Ladybug, but I think the first fandom I wrote for was My Little Pony. My MLP stuff is on a different site, and also pretty freaking bad, but it was my first large-scale fic and it really helped me develop my skills and voice.
20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?
Easy: Dream Come True. That was a monumental journey to go on, and seeing my readerbase follow along as that story morphed and twisted and just kept going and going was such a unique and satisfying experience as a writer. It truly feels unreplicable.
I'm not going to tag anyone because I am a coward, and get horribly anxious at the prospect of @ing people. But if you see this and you wanna do it, use me as an excuse! Say I atted you! Live freely!
Okay good bye. I must return to my endless studies...

busy day todayyy I’m speed reading/commenting on a student SOP while also taking little breaks to prep for this budget meeting + text with K about taking her on as our grad student employee. budget meeting is 11-12 and I need to take a DEEP breath beforehand and go into it with a clear sense of what I need to get out of it. here’s what I need to get out of it:
I need to set clear boundaries around my time. I can be available in the 3:30-5 time slot most weekdays + 5-7 for the weekly evening class, plus prep work on weekends. I can also potentially do 1-2 working lunches a week. but I need to be super strict about my availability and set clear boundaries around what is and isn’t my responsibility.
I am not available for daytime interviews after 8/28. we will need to interview applicants on the weekends or in the evenings.
I would prefer not to negotiate salary in front of six people so I’m hoping my boss and I can have that conversation after. but I would like a $5/hour raise and that title promotion at a minimum.
I need to remember that I am doing them a MASSIVE favor and I have ALL the leverage here. I am essentially offering to do 80% of my old full-time job for 50% of the pay on top of another full-time job. I do not owe anything to them and I NEED to walk away if they won’t meet my salary request. it’s not worth it to give up my evenings and weekends for a year if I’m not getting compensated for it.
I want to propose a stipend increase for our students because they’re affected by rent hikes here too… and also because we would ideally like to cut down on students working too many hours across multiple jobs (I say as I prepare to work too many hours lol).
I want to float the KF employment idea because I think that would be a huge weight off my mind to have an employee I already trust 10000% instead of hiring someone off the street. this is not very Equity in Hiring of me 😬 but given how little time we have to get someone on board we might just have to do it. or we could proceed with reaching out to the other possible candidates & then see how they interview. tbd.
I want to ask a couple of our recent grads who still haven’t found jobs if they’ll be part of our interviewing committee (it pays well!). need to ask Mia that during or after meeting so we can ask them & get them set up in payroll.
okay. meeting from 11-12, then finish SOP from 12-1, then AU meeting from 1-2, then ML meeting from 2-3, then I do a quick burst of work finishing the application materials (they’re almost done). then I can work a bit more on syllabus planning or just be done for the day, since tomorrow is going to be a long haul course prep day.

Marinette is an ex-insurance investigator that left the business after her bosses declined to pay for damages to her ailing parents. She is approached to lead a team of thieves to steal back already stolen designs of Gabriel Agreste. She is promised compensation and vengeance if she successfully returns the designs.
Her team consists of the following:
Nino Lahiffe, a hacker who enjoys DJing on the side. Robbed the Bank of Iceland at the age of 16.
Chloe Bourgeois, a fallen darling of Paris society and current hitter. Has spent the last decade honing various martial arts techniques.
Alya Cesaire, a world class thief that grew up as a pickpocket on the streets of Europe.
All Marinette has to do is retrieve the designs and keep this band of thieves honest. But as they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Nothing is as simple as it seems.

hello~ i love how you articulate your mdzs meta that's why i'm curious to know about your thoughts re: wangxian not making any sense ending up together narrative-wise like what does that even mean?? altho most who have that kind of argument are stans of certain characters so there might be a degree of bias there.
Hi anon,
I have to say that I must follow the right people and avoid the tags well enough that I have not seen these takes. I have seen some "Wangxian is boring" or "I hate wangxian" cries, not attempts to argue that the novel doesn't actually do a good job of making them getting together satisfying. I am as such in the dark wrt the arguments that such people leverage, which makes it more difficult to address their position since I cannot divine the justifications they (supposedly) found in the text.
But it's good to remember that since MDZS is at its core a romance novel, it does set up its entire narrative towards the emotional climax of the MC and ML getting together and getting their own version of an happily-ever-after. While it is possible that the novel could have done it unsatisfyingly, people can certainly not argue that the novel did not take time to set up the progression of their relationship, nor the journey it takes for them to get together (ie. it 'doesn't come out of nowhere'). This is especially true of MDZS since we get to see the distinction between WWX's first life and his rebirth, which further highlights this sense of journey.
Narratively, the novel sets up conflicts that it resolves wrt their relationship. While they are not always clearly told to us at first, we can trace by the end of the novel all the beats of these conflicts and how they lead to our characters getting together when they did. These conflicts also serve to demonstrate the growth of both characters as well as the growth of their relationship, which I think is neat! So, in other words, the novel does its best to make us feel like them getting together is "earned", and imo, it succeeds in doing that. That's why WWX's confession, while certainly unconventional, is really great because it totally speaks to this journey and these conflicts. It isn't just two characters finding a down moment in-between the action to shyly confess their feelings with i-have-always-loved-yous or two characters, full of adrenaline, suddenly exchanging their first kiss after the climax of the action. Instead, the confession is tied to who they are and what they went through and how their relationship evolved: you could hardly take it and put it into the mouths of different characters and have it actually work. This is actually an issue I've had with a lot of AUs/canon-divergent fics that choose to retain the wording of the confession but which have not set up similar conflicts and the journey that gave meaning to WWX's wording.
In fandom spaces, being a fan of another character or another ship might indeed have a lot to do with how people see whether or not two people "make sense together". And certainly, people have different tastes for ships, different views of relationships and what makes them work, or what they find attractive and pleasing in other people--these all work together to shape people's perceptions of fictional relationships. So it follows that there are people who look at Wangxian and, from their POV, think they make no sense as a compelling or desirable couple. But that doesn't mean that a piece of fiction did not do the work of showing the reader how these two characters make sense together. And the novel does do that, even taking the time to show us how they function as a couple after the confession, how they negotiate each other's lives and entanglements, how they deal with the normal everyday. The novel also goes to great lengths to set up the fact that while Wangxian are different (and appreciate each other's differences!), at heart they are the same and want the same. That might not suit some people's taste in terms of relationships, but I think it is unfair to act as if MXTX just took two dudes and said "and now they will kiss together because they are both hot". That's usually more the purview of fandom to do that with two male characters who almost never interact with each other............

leverage au: canon may be a mess but there are usable bits and timeline-wise, despite this changing a lot of things, i can't help but think that andre and audrey got a(n actual) divorce and chloe just forever hates her dad for not fighting to keep her in his custody (zoe probably thought chloe never contacted her again out of that same hatred) and she gets sent to london boarding school or something where she meets Bad Influences that lead her to where she is today (she def just booked it after she became a legal adult, but not after stealing more of audrey's and andre's money without her noticing). meanwhile, adrien couldn't be of help to her because emilie was probably dying/died at this stage and gabe was getting worse. if colt is still alive, felix has his own shit to deal with too. he's the one who gets a semi-normal adult life because his mother is the best parent out all these fuckers
Oof yeah that could work

okay i was thinking about it and i’ve written several different versions of polyamory negotiations and like, i’m curious as to what categories they fall into? so without further ado:
Version 1 (classic): person A and person B, already together / having confessed their feelings, realize that both of them are in love with person C who is also in love with them. as a couple, they sit down C and explain. examples: fsk magnum opus, cnl epic that will never see the light of day
Version 1.5 (classic redux): A and B have the same realization, but A goes alone to try and ask C out and Miscommunication Ensues. examples: how toby/andy/cj get together in the Epic.
Version 2 (the Communication Wins scenario): persons A, B, and C already have rules amongst themselves for ethical non monogamy so some configuration of them getting together is Quick and Easy and Painless. examples: the ML daemon au, probably the backstory to that one clararose fic i wrote if i ever wrote the backstory (bold of me to assume anything involving the doctor is painless though lmao)
Version 3 (aka “this relationship has one braincell”): person A sits B and C down and announces that they’re all in love and polyamory will solve all of their problems. B and C look at each other and go “oh hell yes we want in on this”. examples: les mis poly idiots, the leverage ot3 let’s be real (go parker!), that one piece of original fiction i wrote that’s thinly veiled self insert

September AU - ML - Lukanette
Since I did a seven chapter fanfic for Zutara Week and combined it with 12MAU July’s AU theme “historical”, I’m going to skip August’s AU theme (gender swap/role swap) to rest a bit.   I’ve begun to sort my thoughts and rough plot notes for September’s AU theme “high fantasy” and decided to do Lukanette, but I don’t know if I want to toss Adrien in there.
The general plot is human seamstress (Marinette) gets kidnapped through a mirror spell by demon (Juleka) to use as leverage in negotiations between a human kingdom and the demon realms, but she kidnapped the wrong person.   The demon lord (Luka) returns from negotiations and tells her it wasn’t necessary and offers to get Marinette back, but she has to wait a week until Juleka regains her lost magic energy to reopen the gateway.  Otherwise, it’s a two week ride back to the capital where they got her. Back at the capital, her friend and paladin (Adrien) returns to the capital and visits his childhood friend (Chloe) who is lamenting their missing seamstress because her dress is gone.  Blah blah blah, Adrien sets off with fellow paladins (Kagami, Nino, Kim, and Max) to find Marinette.   I do plan to keep the kwamis and use magic and dragons and stuff, but I’m unsure how I want the story’s endgame to be.   Thus, I thought I’d throw it out to the readers.  Do you guys have any thoughts or should I just surprise you/see what happens?
I’m going to start writing in September, so there is time to figure things out.
PS - Rating will be E (like 75% chance)

In this volatile business landscape where competition among companies has increased by leaps and bounds, organizations across the globe are not ready to leave a single stone unturned to have an edge in the market. To achieve this goal, businesses need to understand current market trends, customer demands, as well as anticipate those. Data is undoubtedly the key that, if leveraged in a streamlined manner, can open up a myriad of opportunities before enterprises. However, with the ever-increasing amount of data, the task of tapping value valuable insights from raw datasets has become more complicated. Also, reliance on traditional data visualization tools proves to be ineffective — for a plethora of reasons. The first one is the failure to maintain data quality. This significantly hampers the capability of making accurate and timely decisions. Also, unrefined datasets often oblige executives to make inappropriate business decisions that prove to be detrimental in the long run — undermining the fundamental purpose of data visualization.
Apart from this, siloed data appears as another major source of inefficiency. Enterprises need to hone their capability of integrating data from different sources (including real-time data), curating those, and leveraging dashboards as well as mobile platforms in everyday activities to overcome the challenge of data silos.
In the face of these challenges, organizations need to have a comprehensive understanding of their unique business problems, needs, and cutting-edge data visualization tools that are hitting the market on a regular basis. Otherwise, they will end up making only some hefty investments that will never bring the desired outcome.
With a comprehensive understanding of these requirements, CIOReview has compiled a list of the 20 most promising data visualization solution providers 2019 to guide organizations in harnessing the power of new-age technologies and experts to improve their efficiency.

OF JOY & LOVE DREAMING OF YOU, AT STATEN ISLAND ACC. INTAKE DATE: 06-08-2019 Sweet, Older Pooch Blue @ SI ACC If you watch his video below, and we asked you what you thought Blue’s age was, we bet a dollar to a dozen you would say he is a year old. But you would be wrong. We couldn’t fault you for thinking this wiggly, affectionate, super social sweetheart is a puppy. We would have thought the same. But happy hearted, Blue is 8 years old. He’s almost a senior! But this amazing kid with his ever present grin, and who is constantly in motion, isn’t ready for dozing in a dog bed yet. He’s raring to go, whether on a run or a hike or a swim in the lake. He seems to love other dogs, and he tries all the time to get in people’s laps for cuddles and kisses. He’s got more energy than dogs half his age, but a lot more wisdom too. A volunteer writes: “Blue was surrendered as a stray, and he's now looking for a new place to call home. He looks and acts like a very young dog, so we'll see if his age will change on his profile. He did well in playgroup with Nanouk, and he's very friendly with people. He's in adoptions now at SIACC.” A staff member writes: "Hey, Blue!" Potential challenges: Destructive behavior Basic manners/poor impulse control Strength/leash pulling Potential challenges comments: Blue is reported to show destructive behavior in the home, such as chewing on furniture. We are unaware of what, if any, attempts were made to remedy this behavior but we suggest to future adopters that Blue will need to be provided with physical and mental stimulation and with a variety of appropriate and engaging chew toys so he can engage in necessary chewing behavior without damage to human objects. Please see the handout on destructive behavior. Blue has been seen to jump up on handlers. It is recommended that default behaviors such as "Leave it", "Sit/Stay", "Down" are reinforced to substitute any frustration and teach her to control her impulses instead of simply reacting; proper management is also advised. Force-free, reward based training only is recommended. Please see the handout on basic manners/poor impulse control. Blue is a very, strong dog with the capability to pull over an average adopter. His adopter must be prepared and able to handle a dog of this size and strength. It is recommended that he be walked on a front clip harness or head halter, which help diminish his strength through leverage, and that he be trained using positive reinforcement, reward based training to not pull on leash. Please see the handout on strength/leash-pulling.
