I could probably write a whole book on how pernicious the Mormon idea of the Premortal life is. Their belief that we ASKED for this has haunted me my whole life. You can't say that it wasn't your choice to be born in the Mormon church. You can't say that you never wanted this. A lot of Mormons even believe that we got to choose(????) the trials we go through in life before being born.
Prophets and apostles and sunday school teachers would be like You Fought to Be Here today!!! and I would be like I Fight Every Day Just To Stay Alive Bitch!!

Men are selfish, bad, oppressive Alpha Males when they don't want to make themselves infertile.
Also, of course women have the right to pressure men into getting vasectomies; bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom is for women only, apparently.
Feminism win!

reading some 80s papers on radfem stuff, ellen willis made some cool points on how the marxist - rad split really happened within left wing communities. and also how radfeminism became diluted (which she called cultural feminism) and also men's role in this. how seperating men hurt the movement (it was initally designed to be a boycott), the fear of sex work in radfem culture, and also a bit on interclass sabotage. and some things on queer culture, and the white middle class culture.
it's interesting to know radfeminism wasn't always this way - but it was gonna always become this way given enough time.

I am not particularly interested in discourse surrounding sex slavery that doesn’t acknowledge the gender disparity. Most of the statistics that I’ve seen suggest that most non-consenting sex trafficking victims are young females and femmes. I am not interested in discourse that isn’t through a LOUDLY feminist lens on this issue.
There are enough movies about middle aged, cis-het, white male cops and spies getting to play savior to claim the issue for republicans and even “Christianize” it. Im tired of leftist women being falsely accused of “not caring” about this issue because of the way it has been co-opted.
Where is a movie about the actual victims fighting back??? Oh wait, that would be the handmaids tale which actually appeals more to a target demographic of younger women and is less friendly in its portrayal of religion.
For the record, I have not seen “The Sound of Freedom” or “Priceless”, but I did watch “Taken” so please let me know if I’m wrong about these movies I haven’t seen.

crazy how womanhood has been divided into two categories like “pick me’s” and “bimbos” and that women cannot be seen as anything but those two. whenever a woman questions the value of mainstream femininity and that consumerism has shaped what it is like to be a woman they’re labeled a “pick me” and shamed for “judging” women for wearing makeup when it should be known that cosmetics should have nothing to do with womanhood. i literally wear makeup every day and i LOVE being woman and yet im still called misogynistic for letting it be known that companies are trying to control feminity. girls have been taught since they were kids that cosmetics/makeup are the only thing that will make u “feminine” and pretty
