Before having my first child (i now have two) no one ever told me the mental, emotional, and physical trauma and scary shit you go thru. I'm not just talking pregnancy and child birth. I'm also talking about the hormones crash after birth, the post partum depression you fall into, the loosing yourself after becoming a mom, and the constant fear of becoming our parents and having our kids go thru the same generational bullshit that we faced growing up.

There were a lot of tears today. Nora cried, I cried. She was the reason for my tears and I was the answer to hers. Today I feel exhausted. I feel spread thin. I want to lay in bed and hide from the world but I can’t. I have to get out of bed because I have another life to care for. Sometimes it feels like the days are never ending and I feel so tired from the day before and it feels like I’ll never be able to catch up on sleep. In moment like this I cherish my baby. I feel so guilty for all of my frustration. In moments like this I can see the big picture. This tiny human is all mine, I created her, and she needs me. There are so many daily tears between the two of us but she truly does give me a daily reason to get out of bed. She’s the one who encourages me to be my best self and she truly is my muse to be better than I was the day before. The days are long and they feel never ending but then I blink and I feel like time is slipping through my fingers and my baby is getting too big too fast right before my eyes.

Midnight Ramblings

Rather than provide realistic dynamics in their characters such as albinoism (which is what I think Mei was supposed to originally have, which would make her being an outcast make more sense) mental illness, lgbtq relationships and poc in their games so the games would have a new feel and evolve for the new fans like video games are supposed to fucking do, it seems Herinteractive would rather bend the knee to the Christian momgroups of the fanbase that have been playing since they were in their late teens and providing anything progressive is seen as ‘exclusive’, ‘preachy’ and ‘liberal’ even though lgbtq and poc being allowed to exist has nothing to do with politics.

I’m really quite tired and am worried this post is offensive. Is it offensive?

As Moms, we can be so hard on ourselves... Somebody, somewhere, thinks your parenting sucks. Why not celebrate that? Being a mom is stressful, we need to make time for some fun ... and maybe even a little debauchery.
