I think the only problem with wishing for a “lifetime” of stuff in a fantasy situation is that not enough people use it as a monkey paw.
Like, you wish for a “lifetime” of food and water and you only get a month’s worth. Whatever gave you this could say, “I gave you sustenance for a lifetime. For your lifetime.”
No joke I think I would cry and shit myself (with joy) if someone actually did this well since omg the possibilities.

Kripke thought 15x20 of SPN was great and talked Jackles into going through with it.
Kripke coauthored an episode of SPN in season 3 about wishes being granted and then going terribly, terribly awry.
