Moodboards--Then and Now

I had an idea...

Ever since I started writing novels, I’ve loved making moodboards for them. But of course, it takes time to develop a skill, so I have some pretty bad moodboards in my Canva account (and some good ones too I hope). Fortunately, I’ve been working on one particular novel for fucking ever, so I have both new and old moodboards for it. So why not show off my improvement over the years?

These would have been made around early summer of 2018 (note: I changed the spelling of Robin’s name and the title of the novel from I am Not a Saint to GRACE):

Not as bad as I thought they’d be, but medicore at best. I relyed WAY too much on the templates (only switching out photos and MAYBE changing the color of a solid block every now and then), and I only used photos from Canva’s library, unnessarily limiting my options. 

Here’s the more recent ones (June and August 2020):

It’s crazy how much I’ve improved. A nice little confidence boost, which I could use right now.
