here i ammmmm i hope this isnt the longest ask ever lol but i cannot overstate how GORGEOUS i find your prose. the phrase “tiredness curls up in each joint like old cats in old corners” is so absolutely evocative and paints such a melancholic, beautiful, rich picture in my mind every time i remember it. i could actually get it tattooed thats how seriously beautiful i find it. most of all i loooooooove the amount of social norms, architectural details, cultural differences etc etc you infused in the story to fill in the gaps of the canon universe. the choice of using of rice paper vs. glass and all the reasoning behind it is the example that comes to mind, but im sure that if i knew more about east asian cultures, i could identify more and more details you scattered throughout the plot to turn this make believe world into a truthful parallel of the real one we have. i can only say bravo. and if you have any recommended reading for homework, i’d love to know more about these references! now back to your writing! one of thee strongest points of the story, for me, is how believable these characters are as people. they feel so fully fleshed out that sometimes it was like intruding on someone’s most private thoughts - even a little painful to keep going, and i mean that in the best way possible! i especially loved the subtle addition of zuko’s ingrained sexism and prejudice against other nations, things that ofc he’s never had reason to unlearn in this universe. he is compassionate, but can be very unkind - seems like a delicate balance, but in your story, it just flows naturally. you inhabit their heads, strengths, flaws and life experiences so well, like sokka’s blind defensiveness when he thinks of himself as helpless, his brashness and ingenuity when he sees zuko more as a puzzle to solve than a person. that goes even people who haven't gotten that much plot attention yet - like azula wearing blue lipstick (!!!!) foaming at the mouth from the thought. OFC she would!!! shes bold, shes confident and shes here to shine + now she allows herself to have fun! do “ugly” and “imperfect” things for fun! and all the parallels between this redeemed azula and the canon zuko we know. your oc who is zuko's guardian, who he calls grandma, hasn't even shown up yet and i already love and miss her. uncle iroh!!!! zuko assuming malice from uncle iroh who only wants the best for him - but ofc he doesnt know that! but we do, and it hurtssss katara and aang!!! the bath scene with aang, zuko’s forced vulnerability, their honesty, aang’s absolute grace towards zuko. suki and the kyoshi warriors! i trust they will get their turn to kick some ignorant prince ass. and the thing that draws me the most to this genre: the exploration of trauma in its aftermath. your storytelling is wonderfully brutal here. like… you draw a white picture by filling in all its shadowy contours…. if that makes sense. all the ways zuko’s life was affected by his father add up to the shape of his hurt. him not eating fatty foods to stay fit and "bend better". recognizing azula in his own reflection instead of himself. wearing his mom’s night clothes. im going feral feral feral whew! in my heart all this would’ve been a very pretty glittery letter sent to your author p.o. box. i love your story and it lives constantly in my imagination - thank you so much for sharing it with the world!!!

there are so many Very Careful Lines to Walk in doing an ATLA au bc the original characters and cultural stories are really so complex. and i am FAR from an expert on east asian history / cultures but here are a few sources that I found helpful / interesting:

jinian qian's writing for The Millions, especially the articles "The Moon Is Beautiful Tonight: On East Asian Narratives" and "Light in the West and Shadows in the East"

chaoyang trap, which is not at all about ancient china but about very modern chinese cultural existence, especially on the Internet / social media / fandom. I can't say this has directly provided me with a lot of relevant info but it does help me figure out attitude / approaches / how things "translate" into western contexts

i was walking random in a field and i came across this big white fox that looked like an old painting and he had those red markings you see on some animes and he told me "you swam in the spring for the foxes now you must swim for the wolves in the winter" out of no where like five other people showed up one was a hippie girl in a green dress with green braided hair then we are all transported into a cave that was actually really people it was really bright with moon and the stars from the hole in the roof we all get naked and walk into the lake it didnt feel like a normal lake i mean it felt great and all and it was clear but still couldnt see the bottom and the bottom feels like really smooth rocks so i go in about up to my knees and i stick my head underwater to see if there is a cliff or something but no instead the bottom is completely covered in old human skulls and in the middle is like a little tower of skulls guess it doesnt bother me or anyone else cause we just swim around got to swim for the wolves we finish the swimming and get out then a card pops in front of me saying my clothes will shipped to me by UPS and to call a number if i never get them then i am transported back to my home in bed wearing clothes looking at my phone and i wake up in the same position i was laying in in my dream so yeah i think i had a spirit journey or something also you visited hell

I love the fact that your dream is disturbing yet calm while mine is disturbing and chaotic in a eerie way.

I like to think that it wasn't hell but something like another dimension, like one of the levels of the backrooms, perhaps yours was too.

And, well, if it was hell then it was a quick tour. There's a religion (I don't remember the name of it atm) that said that every one of us will stay in hell for a little while to pay for our sons and them move on to the next realm whether it be heaven, limbo or getting to come back to earth as a creature (plant, animal, human)

Take this with a grain of salt cuz I don't remember if the religion that said the hell thing also believes in resurrection or heaven, I'm just speculating.

But in a way it makes sense yk, all of us has committed mistakes aka sins, I doubt there's a human (whose not a baby) that's 100% pure

Oh The Humanity! AU  Masterpost

Hi! Making a masterpost for this AHiT AU so y’all have one place to just find all the important bits that I and other folks in the fandom have done for this AU! Everything will be under the read more

AU Premise: Snatcher steals a time piece from Hat Kid and Bow Kid to mess with them. He tries to use it during one of the Death Wish fights, but turns out the particular time piece he stole was faulty/ something was up with it/ he broke it in a weird way that really messed it up. Because of this, when he broke the piece, instead of rewinding time back a few minutes, it sent his form back about 300 years, returning him to human form, but with all his present memories. Now, he’s stuck as a human as and has to wait for the Time Traveling Alien Kids to fix the time piece and return him to normal, while also being forced to confront his past.

You can find most of this in the tag #oth!au. I will also be updating this as new stuff gets added or if I find that I’ve missed something. Let me know if there’s something I missed that you’d like me to add, cuz boy howdy i didnt realize how much is stuffed into this AU, and I dont remember what I’ve already said and what I’m saving for future stuff:

Moonjumper is taking care of Subcon. They do things way differently than snatcher but they’re trying their best. 

Cooking Cat comes by to cook and help out. She’s very motherly to everyone. She’s taken Mu on as an apprentice, so she’s usually there with her whenever she drops by.

The birds are wrapping up a collab movie. The main cast are invited to the premier party, as Hat and Bow acted in the film. Snatcher gets to wear a nice suit and he has some interaction with the conductor and grooves. Link Link

at multiple points, MJ checks in with snatcher for status reports on how subcon is doing. This is usually where their bonding moments happen and they become less and less awkward with each interaction.

At some point around mid to late story, they find out that Subcon is starting to freeze over again. Snatcher was the only one who could melt the ice so this now gives them a time limit.

Snatcher gradually takes on a fatherly role towards the girls. He is constantly trying to deny it as he comes to realize it but eventually accepts it.

Hat kid’s a good leader, but she can often be reckless and stubborn. Significantly more chaotic of the two space gremlins. She’s a lot like snatcher in a lot of ways, and because of that they are constantly butting heads but they get along better as Snatcher both gets used to being human and grows fonder of the two girls. She’s a bit closer to Snatcher, having been the most adamant about being his friend (initially out of spite but yknow) and they have a lot in common. 

People frequently mistake snatcher for being Hat Kid and Bow Kid’s visiting father. They usually comment on how much he looks like he could be HK’s biological dad. Both are in denial of this throughout the main timeline of this au. It’s a running gag. Link

snatcher is sometimes completely oblivious when he enters Dad Mode sometimes

Bow, on the other hand is generally a bit more shy and careful than hat kid is. She tends to take the passenger seat, taking on a more supportive role. She’s also way more polite. In this sense, she has more in common with moonjumper, and gets along with them quite well and she frequently goes to visit him the most often, on her own.

 Her and snatcher’s relationship kind of parallels snatcher’s relationship with MJ. Snatcher, having once been a big jerk to these kids, is now trying to teach bow to take more of a leading role and be more confident.

as this au takes place not long after the Clearing Incident comic, Snatcher and MJ’s relationship is a bit awkward in the beginning. Over the course of the AU their relationship would build up to be more brotherly.

the subconites like moonjumper but they miss their boss. MJ spoils them tho, which they appreciate and occasionally take advantage of Link Link

moonjumper learns to stand up for himself, snatcher learns to be more vulnerable

moonjumper is the badgeseller. Only hat, bow, and snatcher know this. 

snatcher very much enjoys feeling warm, its one of few saving graces he clings too in the stressful early part of the story.

snatcher doesnt like looking at himself in this AU. He’s very self-conscious about his “pathetic human body.” He doesn’t like being pitied and he doesnt like being seen as weak.

snatcher frequently has nightmares about his past.

after recieving the mailman hat, people start refering to him as The Mailman. Link

his voice frequently cracks a lot, especially in the beginning, since he keeps trying to use his Loud Ghost Voice, which can do a number on human vocal chords. Link

-the outfit danny had to buy for dash's party. CLASSIC 2000S i cannot stop laughing. And also showing up to the party and everyone is dressed like the trio is hilarious. and further proof that everyone looks good dressed goth.

-dash has a closet full of cute lil bear plushies?? LOVE that. adorable. also his response to danny trashing his room fighting a ghost was SO valid if somone BROKE MY BED IN HALF ID BE PISSED TOO.

-technus being like 'oh smart, u should be a tutor!' then later being like 'forget tutor, be a teacher!' :) supportive king <3 I also really like his upgraded suit/design. AND SPOCK CAMEO??? HELLO??

-the music in this show is super. its so funky. I looked it up and the guy who does it, guy moon (awesome name) also did music for other cartoons like fairly odd parents, barnyard, chalkzone, billy & mandy, AND some actual movies like FIGHT CLUB??? the whiplash I got from reading that)

-sam being rich explains a lot about her, actually.

-I know the moral of the episode was supposed to be 'dont ditch your friends for popular people/spend a lot of money on clothes that arent You to Fit In'. but tbh. it wouldve been easy for danny to have been like 'well, okay, ill come but only if my friends can!' but I get. that hes 14. so. not a lot to say there.

-gotta say im with tucker on the whole 'should danny use his powers to get back at bullies' debate. 100% yes. let him teach kids to fight back. making dash throw his food at paulina out of the blue? no. but when hes actually about to pick on someone? yeah! for self defense? YEAH! if dash and his friends just threw food at him, I think rather than. idk doing sneaky shit with frogs he couldve just threw it back and not pulled punches if they tried to fight. I kNOOWWW its a kids show so they are like 'if u fight back ur just as bad!! violence bad!!' but. theyre HIS POWERS. WHO CARES.

-like my only gripe is that dash really isnt LEARNING ANYTHING WHEN DANNY GETS BACK AT HIM IN THE MOST PETTY INDIRECT WAYS. whatever they had to add a bully psa episode I guess. I hate it and I hate the way cartoons usually handle it because these methods simply Do Not Work. 'aND YouRE USinG YOur poWErs FOR EVill???!' this is Not Evil. even when poindexter takes dannys body, theyre only being 'nice' bc hes stealing soda for them!! bitches deserve what they get (nothing too brutal bc theyre high schoolers but damn, if they pick on danny he doesnt need to be the 'bigger person' he needs to start biting people)

My love for Bane!!

Before you read, I want to make it clear that there are some nsfw parts to this posts. If you are under 18, please don't read!

This post will go over various details and reasons why my heart belongs to the big green giant know as Bane from Batman and Robin (1997). Get ready for a long read, because I've got a lot to say.

His mask is very cool and unique, because if you look closer you see they used Bane's comic book mask as a base and then just changed the mouth area and added black eye pieces on top of the red piece he normally sees out of. Imo, it is the best movie Bane mask we have ever had! A lot of people hate the multiple tubes coming out of his head, but I think it makes things extra spicy! A constant reminder that your not just dealing with any normal super human, you dealing with a venom infused one that can fight you like it's nothing! The bulging veins that can be seen in certain lighting is a detail I feel deserves more love. It adds to his big and tough demeanor. You can really tell the venom is working wonders on him! The zipper on the top of the head and the fact that his mask is most likely made of tight leather or latex brings thr entire thing together and is truly a marvel to look at! I absolute love it!💚Imagining him slick that smooth, stretchy, husky mask on while the venom starts to pump into his brain and muscles just does things to me. If Bane offered me a chance to wear it, venom or not, I would do it in a heart beat! It would probably reek of sweat, his bad breath, and of old leather, but I wouldn't care. Just the thought of inhale all those smells brings me a joy I can't describe! 😍

When I was a kid, in addition to his lovely mask, his clothing choice was another thing I loved about him. It looks like Bane is just wearing a black cotton tank top with some black sturdy pants, but I've always the headcannon that it's actually very flexible black latex one piece! It makes a lot more sense when you notice his collar, chest harness, wrist bands, crotch diaper, and boots are also make out of a harder leather with spikes and studs! I swear, half of my clothing choices/dreams come from this man! His boots, for the most part, are very frankenstein/gothic inspired with thick sole and it going all the way to his knees. The copper rivets are the only things that make them stand out, imo. I've had thoughts were in order to prove my love to him I have to lick or kiss his boots while he judges. I'd hate it for the most part, because they probably taste like dirty and dust, but I want him to know that I do love him, so I'd do small smooches starting from his toes and work my way up his leg until I'm straight up licking his boots. I'd get so carried away he'd probably make me stop pretty quickly so I don't get sick 😂. His spiked collar and wrist bands are easily the clothing items I want the most! Any time I see someone on the street with spikes in their clothing I immediately think about him. Because he's worn them for so long, they're probably not that tight or rough but still firm enough to not sag. Maybe even a little flaky in certain parts. I don't think I'm comfortable with myself enough to wear a collar in public but I've come so close to buying spiky wrist bands or gauntlets it's crazy I don't actually own a pair yet. One day, I'm sure. His crotch diaper, for lack of a better name for it, is the one thing I'm 50/50 on. Some days I think it really adds to his look, especially with the spikes that go out. Plus, to a certain extent, it makes practical sense because that way heroes cant go from behind his and try to restrain him, or can't throw too many kicks, without getting poked/cut by the spikes. But other days I think it just doesnt look that great, because it ultimatly looks like a big metal diaper, it takes away from his intimidation. Plus, I won't be able to give him proper hugs! (I want to give daddy all the hugs he deserves! 💚) His chest piece is what brings everything together. The little Bane symbol is so cute, I've always looked for a pin or something to buy but no luck. I actually used to have this Bane cape that I won at Six Flags when I was little. I cut the symbol of his face out of it and tried multiple times to attach it to my jean jackets but I suck at sowing. 🥲 The leather straps that hold the chest piece compliment the other leather pieces of his outfit. The metal looking chest piece looks wonderful and adds a layer to his character that I both love and hate. In this movie he's a drone, a mindless agent that is only allowed to follow orders. I'll will discuss this in a bit. But for the record, I hate the fact that Bane is written as big dumb idiot in this movie. It's the one big problem I have with him, which sucks because I literally love everything else about him!

I've probably watch the Bane transformation scene in Batman and Robin, like, a thousand times. No joke. I didn't realize it then, but seeing a short, thin, twink become a tall, hulking, king really hit my desires in the right way. Like, now, I know for sure that's one of my kinks and it makes me so damn happy! Granted, I've never been skinny in my life, but I've always wanted to be a musclar and strong man, so it makes sense why I love this scene so much. It's a literally fantasy of mine brought to life! More specifically, I've always wanted to be a type of strong that allows me to run miles like it's nothing, throw punches that instantly knock someone out, and lift so much weight that I borderline have a superhero body. Don't get me wrong, this is seriously mentally unhealthy because I know it's kind of impossible considering my personality and the actuality of gaining so much muscle, but I believe as long as I realize it's a dream and not beat myself up over it, it's not too bad of a thought to have. Actually, if you think about it, this Bane is kind of a plus size body representation. Sure he's got giant arms that can crush my bones like tooth pics, but he's pretty bulky with a big belly. That might be too much of a stretch to say, and I totally understand if people don't agree with. That being said, I have to say it, this man probably gives the best hugs in all of Gotham! He's so big that you don't even need a jacket in the house! Just let him embrace you and you'll never feel alone or cold again! His thick hands holding you in really tight, his muscles locking you in and warming your arms, while his gut pushes you back a little of your feet, like he wants to swoop you into his arms and carry you! 🥰 He'd be careful with his spikes of course, don't worry. A detail that sends me over the moon about Bane in this movie is his green skin. I can't put my finger on it, but it really adds to the whole transformation and therefore my thirst for him grows even bigger! Especially because it's completely unique to the movie. It looks so good that I wonder why the comics haven't adopted something similar.

I could go for hours about how I think the writers butchered Bane's character in this movie, but I want this post to mainly act as a positive appreciation post/background for head cannons that I might post about him one day. So to end, and give a taste, I'll finally talk about Bane being a drone in this movie. In weird way, because he's played as a mindless servent, it makes this version of Bane one of the easier Bane's for me to fantasies about. This is because in the movie, it's implied Bane only follows Poison Ivy because she was the first person he didn't see as a threat. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if she used some of her suductive powers on him. (I would too, just saying) So, with that established, I like that he's a mindless drone because it means that, in my head, he's not exactly my "servant" but he will basically do whatever I say. Why? Because I will prove to him I not a threat either, and only want to love him!! He'll have a concuious and his own goals, and I'll follow along and help because I trust him and want to support him, but, for the most part, he will do what I say and love me in return. I could explain this more, but I want to save the juicy parts for the follow up post I have planned for this. 😏

Ever since you had fallen ill and you told Ciel about your family's curse, Ciel never stopped looking for a cure for this curse.

After talking to several doctors and talking to Sebastian, and The Undertaker, Ciel finally believed he found a cure for your family's illness.

Ciel also learned during his research, discovered that you had a mark on your back, that would spread when the illness began taking over.

Luckily for Ciel, the illness hadn't started to spread yet.

When Ciel found the cure and told you about it, you laughed a little since it sounded kind of funny, but if the ritual worked, nothing could stop you.

You and Ciel started planning everything for the next full moon, where the ritual would take place. But during this time, Ciel started to doubt himself.

'What if it doesn't work?'

'What if I am not her true love?'

You saw this plaguing his mind and reassured him that you loved him and only him. You had loved no one like him before, and would never stop loving him.

In the middle of planning, tragedy struck.

While planning, you started to feel sick. You thought nothing of it until you looked in a mirror.

The mark had started to spread.

Ciel found you collapsed and crying on the floor, he rushed over to you and asked you what was wrong.

You told him that the mark had started to spread, after telling him that, Ciel felt his whole world stop and he felt completely numb for a moment.

'This can't be happening.' Ciel thought.

Ciel felt numb to the world, absolutely heartbroken, but yet he remained confident.

"Y/N." You heard Ciel say your name.

"Y-Yes." you sobbed and dried your tears.

"Marry me?" Ciel looked you dead in the eyes when he asked you this. You looked shocked at him, unable to speak a single word.

"I don't care if the ritual works or nor, I want to marry the woman I love," Ciel said, holding you close, close enough for you to hear his beating heart.

"Yes." You hugged him and clutched a fistful of his clothes.

Ciel pulled back and smiled at you, drying the tears that kept falling from your eyes. Ciel leaned in slowly and captured your sweet lips in a passionate and loving kiss.

TIME SKIP

You and Ciel began preparing the ritual alongside a makeshift wedding. Since the wedding was a last-minute decision, you and Ciel agreed on a small wedding and only invited the closest people to you.

The days slowly approached the ritual day, and Ciel spends as much time with you to make sure you were okay.

So far, the illness had not spread that far, but you still felt sick. But despite being sick, you found a beautiful dress you wanted to wear for the ritual. Ciel had not seen the dress, so you were excited to see his reaction.

TIME SKIP

The day was finally here. The day of the ritual was finally here.

The day was spend preparing the garden for the ritual/ceremony.

Later in the day, you and Ciel were lead into separated rooms and began to get ready for tonight.

"Are you nervous, Miss Y/n?" Mey-Rin asked you as she got you into your dress.

TIME SKIP

You stood with Sebastian before the doors that lead into the garden, where Ciel was waiting for you two.

Instead of a bouquet, you were holding a pure white dove since the ritual called for a white dove.

"We are ready to begin the ceremony." Finnian ran up and told you. You took a deep breath, and you two slowly began walking as the doors opened.

You spotted Ciel immediately and smiled at him.

You now stood in front of Ciel, smiling as the moonlight shone brightly upon you two as the ceremony/ritual began.

"We are gathered here today to unite Ciel Phantomhive and Y/N L/N." The priest said.

"Bring the rings forward, please." The priest said, and Finnian stepped forward with the rings. You and Ciel took the rings and ready to place them on your fingers of each other.

"Now do you Ciel Phantomhive, take Y/N L/N, to be your partner in life and sharing your path; equal in love, a mirror for your true self, promising to honor and cherish, through good times and bad, until death do you part?" The priest asked Ciel.

"I do," Ciel said and smiled at you, looking deep into your eyes.

"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride." The priest announced.

You smiled at Ciel and looked down at the white dove. You felt Ciel place his hand over yours, holding the dove.

You both leaned in, and finally, your lips met in a sweet and passionate kiss.

You both pulled away, and you felt the dove squirm, so you let it go, and it flew towards the moon. Right after, you felt a pain in your back where the mark was. You bend down, the pain made it unbearable, and you couldn't breathe.

"Y/N!?" you heard Ciel shout. You laid on the ground, hyperventilating. Not long after, the pain subsided, and you could finally breathe again. You looked up at Ciel, looking at you concerned. You looked around, and you saw all the other looking anxious at you.

Just then, you remembered the pain were your mark had been. You grabbed Ciel's hand and ran towards your bedroom.

"Y/N! What's going on?!" Ciel shouted as he ran behind you, hanging on to your hand.

You opened the door to your bedroom and closed it after Ciel, and you ran over the mirror and tried to remove your dress.

"Y-Y/N!" Ciel blushed bright red.

"I-It's not what you think, please just help me remove this dress," you asked Ciel. Ciel reluctantly helped you remove your dress. When your back was unclothed, you turned around and looked.

The mark was gone, completely gone.

"It's gone." You whispered.

"What?" Ciel asked and walked over to for himself.

It was true. The mark was gone. Ciel brushed his fingers against your skin, where the mark once appeared.

"It worked Ciel, it worked." You felt yourself tearing and leaned your head against his chest. Ciel finally snapping out of his daze, wrapped his arms tightly around you.

"It's true after all," you said.

"What is my love," Ciel asked you.

"True love conquers all." You said and smiled at him.

"Indeed it does, my love, indeed it does." Ciel smiled and leaned and kissed you, which you gladly accepted.

'Finally, after all this time, she's finally mine, forever and always.' Ciel thought to himself as he felt your soft lips against his.

After getting you into your dress again, you went to tell everyone that the ritual had worked. Everyone celebrated and cheered.

Later on, you and Ciel retreated to your bedroom. Once you two had entered the bedroom, there was no holding back. You and Ciel rejoiced that from now on, you could spend every day and night in each other's arms.

And that's what you two did that night. Never once leaving or letting go of each other.

Hey so for the past while I've been rereading the toilet bound hanako kun manga thanks to the anime release. And in doing so I've came up with a few theories regarding Tsukasa, (spoiler alert ahead for anyone who doesnt read the manga) these are all just based on my own speculation so please dont take it as the whole truth.

My theory will revolve around why tsukasa seems so obsessed with his brother, yet also so dead set on making his brother feel inferior.

I have a theory that since they were both from the 1960's, Tsukasa could of had some form of skitsophrena or some other disorder that was unable to be diagnosed.

That his whole attitude and personality was to much for others, as Amane said at the festival, his brother gets violent when you try to stop him from doing something. And this is still only when they are in elementary school

And perhaps the reason why Tsukasa is so attached to Amane is because Amane is the only family he has, perhaps their parents arent around, as they have never been mentioned and because of the school photos not showing them

Oh course this could all mean nothing and parents could still be around, but it would also explain why Tsukasa is so clingy with Amane and seems to want to do everything his older brother does, which includes dressing like him at their meeting on the roof top, to in the dreamworld joining the astronomy club simply because Amane did

He may not want to lose the only family he has, but it is also very possibly that he has always been jealous of his older brother,seeing as Amane seems to be the more level headed of the two and the more academically smart considering he was suppose to become a teacher if he didnt die.

Maybe that's why he wanted to push Amane to hurt him, because he wanted Amane to feel what it's like to lose control and he wanted to see Amane regret something.

I personally believe the bruises and cuts Amane has are from his brother Tsukasa. But he didnt start getting them till he openly started to admit he wanted to go to the moon and Tsukasa couldnt accept the idea of his only family leaving him.

As you can see from this picture Amanes books are all torn and he is injured looking terrified as he clutches the curtian

Tsukasa seems to hold a grudge against the world and everything it stands for, perhaps because of the way it treated him for being different.

His words here could be taken in many ways as it could just be him letting out his own anger and frustrations using someone else.

When he wanted Amane to break he wasnt expecting to be killed. But the fact that he was probualy delighted him, esspeically when he would see Amane and Amane would freeze as though terrified. It let's him know that Amane now feels it that Amane knows what regret is and that he isnt perfect anymore. That he is also now stuck on earth with tsukasa

Tsukasa takes delight in the terrified expression of his brother. Knowing that his brother is so full of guilt and regret that he is too scared to come near him once the past is mentioned. Perhaps this is for personal gain and tsukasa wants to manipulate his brother into staying with him longer. He wants to be the only one his brother depends on and trusts. Maybe that's how it was when they were alive and that's how tsukasa wants to keep it.

In this moment this whole scene could of been his idea. His idea to tell the artist that Nene has to kill Hanako. It seems like a fun plot but it could also be taken that Tsukasa feels like his place is being threatened that Nene is now always at the front of Amanes thoughts. That he will start to trust her and depend on her more then him. So if the person he trusts the most kills him or would be the sweetest revenge. Because to him that would destroy Amanes trust in Nene. Bringing Amane back to his lonely self.

Finally. I would like to point t out something small and simple. It may not mean anything but I couldnt help but notice that Tsukasa wears old clothes while Amane wears modern. It could mean nothing but I personally see it as, Tsukasa is stuck in the past and constantly thinking about it, that his main goal is to bring things back to how they use to be. While Amane is in modern clothes because he looks for the future. Always aiming for it and always aiming to atone for his sins. Even as a child he looked towards the future with great hope. It could be another way to show their clashing personality with Tsukasa wanting to stay and Amane wanting to walk ahead.

Slowly one by one. We stopped having things to talk about ,like we've become strangers with time.. Now to just glances every now and then, that was all. I realized that leo suns love spiritual things or like yoga,meditation kind of things if you havent try these you definitely should give them a try.I think leo suns are good at many things and you are a good leader.I think it is one of the most enjoyable sun placements to have a conversation with.You can give great motivational speeches (depending on mercury and aspects).You may like things that other people call exaggeration like heavy makeup,shiny-glittery things and I dont know any leo suns that doesnt like leopard pattern. The negative sides of this placement are; sometimes you can be very self centered, what you say and your actions may not match in some situations (also depending on your mars and aspects)

Aymeric x Kiya

During the travel to Anyx Trine, they had taken a longer path with Alphinaud. He wanted to take some white lily type flowers to the house that once belonged to Ysayle.

Kiya felt colder than usual as they had braved through a blizzard to get there even on dragon back. She felt a haze in her head and hoped it was nothing.

Thry had landed and soon wandered the outside of the house for dangers. A few monsters easily dealt with by a few flashes of fire from Kiya and Aymeric's sword. Aymeric noticed that Kiya's spells faltered a bit.

When they were inside, the place felt cold as long abandoned from the heretics. Aymeric marveled at the unique sculpture of Shiva and Hraesvelgr faintly touching it in how it now adorns the gate on Falcon's Nest.

"To think that a few girls would change Ishgard for beliefs that were once thought preposterous. I just hope the great wyrm can lend his strength to us." Aymeric murmurs more to himself, he still had alot to come to terms with. Alot to go through.

Alphinaud arranged the flowers he had brought on the altar to pay respects in his way. Kiya leaned against the wall close to the door rubbing her arms and shoulders. Still dancing with her thoughts. Her own memories she felt a little delirious on her feet. She shoved her own feelings aside keeping her ears up for sounds of foes.

Aymeric turns towards Kiya flashing a brief smile and earning one back. They were dancing around their feelings for each other. Aymeric held back because he didnt know how this dragonsong war would end with another dead either him, Estinien or her, someone he has grown to love dearly unadmitted. He rather go with unrequited love than face heartbreak that way.

Kiya kept her feelings to herself due to uncertainty. Once she admitted feelings it meant she had so much to lose in this. They would grave the others hand or stare a bit longer between them.

It is in one of these moments that Aymeric notices her face more pale than usual, with her painted lips it was hard to tell of she was hypothermic but she shivered on her feet.

"Alphinaud, would you fetch some wood for fire? I think we should hold here for a bit till the weather improves. Wont do for us to catch our death in the cold." Aymeric keeps his voice full of amusement and Alphinaud nods going to get the wood.

Aymeric turns to Kiya eyes a bit stern he knew something was off bow that he sees her gaze half there.

"Kiya? You should sit down and rest. It's been a long journey from Ishgard to here." Kiya nods understanding giving him a grin and a pat on her chest to play off how she felt. Perhaps it was a bit too late and the moment she moved the world was fuzzy to her then black.

"Kiya?!" She didnt hit the ground but was caught. Aymeric kneels with her and glances around for something to lay her down on top of. Alphinaud had returned and saw Aymeric holding Kiya looking panicked.

"By the twelve, what happened?" He is quick to set the wood down and get his tome out to use a cure and esuna on her to see if she had been poisoned or hurt somehow.

Aymeric places a hand to her forehead and feels heat but lingers his hand there feeling her press to it for the cool sensation.

"I believe she has a hypothermia. Along with exhaustion." Aymeric lifts her up again finding a makeshift bed to place her in furs.

"What can we do for her then?" Alphinaud asks.

"Let's get that fire lit. More importantly warm her up and let her rest like we've told her to do." Aymeric says as he removes some of his armor for the thick robe he wears to wrap Kiya in it.

Alphinaud sets about his task of lighting the fire half wishing Kiya was awake long enough to throw a flame. He spies Aymeric sitting with Kiya arms winding around her to draw her closer a worried expression gracing his features.

"I shall go see if I can find makings for a soup or stew." Alphinaud informs Aymeric and he nods agreeing.

"I'll stay here then go keep watch over her." Aymeric rubs a hand on Kiya's head feeling heat from her forehead but knew better than to uncover her from a exposure fever.

It was hours with a fire going and food being made. Aymeric leaving the bundled fur to help Alphinaud make something edible.

Kiya felt like she was dreaming but pleasant warmth throughout her. Her sleep was plagued with a nightmare as events came back to her from Azys Lla, Haurchefant, Estinien, Nidhogg, and Ysayle. She felt soothing hands on her head brief fingers on her forehead checking if her fever broke.

Aymeric sighs in relief when it does break. There is a flutter of Kiya's eyes and she is greeted to Aymeric's smile and most of his torso.

"By the fury, thank her that you are awake." His voice is low enough to hear him but quiet as if there were people asleep. Alphinaud had passed out at the foot of the bed strewn over her legs. Aymeric nestled next to Kiya to use his body heat to keep her from the cold settling in her bones.

"What happened.." Kiya half glares feeling stupid that she was caught in such a moment of weakness.

"You got cold again. Worse than the last time you got hypothermia in my arms." Kiya's cheeks pink at the memory. She had woken up to Aymeric after that night too.

Aymeric gets up and presents her a mug of tea and bowl of soup. She accepts both and eats slowly and drinks slower.

Aymeric sits next to her again and still in a hushed voice talks to her.

"Your fever broke a few hours ago, but we will remain here for the night. Conditions outside got bad best to travel during day anyway. Too many monsters and dravanians that are not friendly. Rather not chance itbwith toy out of it." Aymeric puts his concerns into the reality of their situations.

Kiya looks at the bowl in her hands and is reminded of that time she spent with ysayle and Estinien before they spoke to Hraesvelgr.

"I am sorry to stall our progress." This catches Aymeric by surprise.

"Nonsense, it should be mine fault at not realizing it sooner. Should have told us you were not feeling well." Aymeric reaches hisbhands to cup hers around the bowl. How much larger they are to hers. She noticed he isn't wearing his normal attire but an adventuring outfit. She then noticed her draped in his black robe.

"Thank you... I didnt want to burden you or Alphinaud with it." Kiya feels overwhelmed but the squeeze on her wrists reassures her.

"Again nonsense. You cannot help us if you are not feeling well." Aymeric urges her to best more while it was hot still. When she had finished her things. Aymeric takes the bowl and mug away, setting them down and returns to her. He fits into the fur with her and tugs her closer. He felt right with her next to him.

"Try not to worry over it. However rest, we have a long travel tomorrow to get to tailfeather then anyx trine." Kiya nods understanding feeling sheepish as she lays down. Arms wound around her and she feels safe and protected in his arms.

By morning Kiya woke up last. Feeling refreshed. The Lord Commanders clothes not on her anymore and she spies Aymeric fixing the blue cloak on him from a mirror and a few cups of tea steeping.

Kiya smiles knowing how he doesnt go a day without tea, Lucia telling her moons ago. Aymeric feels eyes on him and ice blue sees vivid green watching him.

Alphinaud already had woken up and went about his morning. When he catches up to the two downstairs he beams bright seeing Kiya up and about. He doesnt miss the way Kiya and Aymeric stare at each other. Tataru had said it is plain as day fir the look of love between them.

"Here we were so worried over you. Yet you look ready to tackle five garuda and two leviathans." He teases and Kiya grins wild at the idea.

"Only if Krile accompanies me." Alphinaud makes a face at that. Aymeric had finished his own morning tea.

"You two should drink up before we brave the cold again. Looks like the blizzard stopped. We should get going before ere long." Aymeric says as he heads up and outside to wait for them. Kiya nods and Alphinaud agrees.

When they were alone, Alphinaud looks over to Kiya as they share the moment.

"He worried about you more than I did. He didn't leave your side once." Alphinaud muses aloud, he sees Kiya glance over to him with a dust of pink.

"Really?" Kiya taps her nails on the mug as a fidget.

"Aye, I noticed you stare at him with love. When will you tell him your feelings?" Alphinaud pries.

"Maybe when this war is over.. or at Churning Mists." Kiya looks into the now empty mug she sets it down then goes to greet Aymeric outside. Turning back towards Alphinaud.

"The right time will present itself. But I dont think I am wrong to chase him." Kiya smiles as she speaks.

"No I do not think it wrong either. As long as he makes you happy." Kiya nods, once outside Aymeric ushers her to stand with him in the morning light. He motions for her to look over the cliffside and is greeted to the soft orange and reds that adorn the snow covered land. Kiya's eyes widen at such a sight, how pink, purples and blues dance off ice and yellows gleam on fresh fallen snow.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Aymeric watches her face over the landscape. How bright her expressions are and how she huddles closer to his side for warmth. She is wearing a thicker attire but cold is still cold.

Alphinaud soon joins them and they set off once more towards their objectives. Kiya holding onto Aymeric's hand a little tighter.

When he finds out that Ben is dead he tries to travel back in time to prevent it and that’s when he comes to the realization that moving forwards in time is a whole different kettle of fish than moving backwards in time which sparks its own little breakdown because until that moment he was treating this as sort of a fun vacation with his cool older siblings and didn’t realize that he was stuck there

So the whole squad gets to find out via breakdown that Five hadn’t really meant to run away and was always intending on going back to them and that he just got stuck

Five calls them out on their bullshit regarding Vanya because he literally just came from a time where Vanya used to sneak into his room in tears after Reginald called her useless and ordinary for the nth time so maybe he’s a little protective and he’s just like “holy shit dad is DEAD and y’all are STILL spouting his same bullshit regarding Vanya”

Diego, who hates the fact that he was just compared to Reginald, decides to be a contrary bastard and immediately start treating Vanya nicer because honestly sometimes spite is the best motivator

Seriously how do the siblings not cotton onto the fact that their brother who sees the dead can see their very dead brother?? whatever, Five is from a time where Klaus was just doing weed and not heavy drugs so as soon as he finds out Ben is dead and after he has his subsequent breakdown he turns to Klaus like “hey hey ask Ben where the fuck he put my book on interdimensional theory I need it for reasons” and Klaus is so surprised he just automatically relays the information and then the rest of the family are like “what” as Five jumps to go retrieve it

Five is still conditioned by Reginald to like. Be a good little child soldier. And I’m gonna say the running out wasn’t a common occurrence, so instead Five gets to bug his siblings to take him places because also he’s thirteen and can’t drive

“Dad is DEAD” five says, wide eyed with possibilities, “holy shit. Is griddy’s still open? can we go to griddy’s? in DAYLIGHT? without sneaking out? holy SHIT”

in the face of this excitement over something as small and simple as being able to go to a diner when he wants, it’s not like they can say NO. even luther wavers because honestly griddy’s is a nostalgia trip and a half and he’s been on the moon for four years and… dad’s dead it can wait for like, an hour right?

The commission is like “hmm. fuck. better send some people to get the timeline back on track” except now it’s the whole squad who deal with the Griddy’s Assassin situation and Five helps because this is what’s he trained to do!! taking down armed gunmen! look at them doing their job as a family

meanwhile the others are freaking out internally because five is a BABY and he’s in DANGER also looking back they were ALL BABIES WHAT THE FUCK DAD and five is just smiling while warping around bashing people on the head with diner mugs

Klaus and Vanya are ducked under a table bonding about not being super helpful in fights and Klaus is like “tbh idk why dad let me go on missions and not you like i remember when you got allison to teach you that highkick p sure you’d be more useful than me” and vanya is touched

they don’t come out unscathed and Five is bleeding and everyone is freaking out over it and five is just like “dude i’ve had worse lmao like literally dad has given me worse than this” and everyone is reminded that their dad was a dick and even luther finds his faith shaken because five is so little and he doesn’t remember them being that little,,,

they still make Five get patched up when they get back home as they try to figure out Hey What The Fuck Was That and five is literally getting stitches and he’s still excitedly asking them questions about their lives

and he’s thirteen and so sheltered i cry so he’s very impressed by like, everything

“we should watch some of allison’s movies!! we can watch movies together now, right?? i mean even dad would let us watch a movie if it had one of us in it surely! i want to see!” “!! vanya goes back to her apartment and still meets leonard peabody sorry guys but it’s kind of her job and i don’t want to take that away from her

she does still end up going to leonard’s house except five gets really bored of being smother by the rest of the squad (and they’re all WEIRD about the oddest of topics it’s stupid) so he goes off to find her and ends up ALSO at leonard’s house except he find reggie’s notebook and is like “hey i recognize this!! this is dad’s! i saw him writing in it yesterday!” and instead of letting anyone know he just kind of stuffs it up his shirt and steals it (it’s not stealing if it belongs to dad) and bugs Vanya into going home with him

he looks at the journal (he was always too curious for his own good that’s what got him into this situation) and so he reads about vanya’s powers

and immediately busts into the kitchen for family dinner like “GUYS HOLY SHIT”

and so that’s how the family finds out vanya has powers, it’s a big revelation, five is super enthusiastic because now vanya can come on missions with them suck it dad!! because he 100% isn’t aware yet they don’t still go on missions together and five is already like “we gotta train this!!”

idk pogo probably comes by and reveals the whole nanny situation and allison makes that reveal and vanya is fucking DISTRESSED and tries to leave but five latches onto her wrist and is like “vanya’s never been ordinary a day in her life!! have you heard her play the violin!! your rumor didn’t even work!” which is v touching to vanya and calms her down at least to continue the convo

luther is like “clearly she’s on the meds bc she’s dangerous so we can just continue those it’s fine” because it’s not like she’s hurt someone he cares about in this timeline tbh

allison meanwhile is trying to be a better sister in general so she counters back with “she was FOUR she didn’t understand the concept of death, now that she’s older and past the toddler tantrum phase i think it would be fine for her to actually learn about her powers”

but it’s klaus who’s like “hey, maybe we should ask vanya what she wants??”

and vanya is like,, i want to know. it wasn’t nice feeling like a burden back during the diner shootout, and i think i’d like to maybe try and explore this - and if it’s too much then there are always the pills (bc at this point vanya is still on those and doesn’t realize they inhibit her emotions, when she does she ends up not wanting to go back on them)

vanya gets the love and support she needs!! luther gets some validation for his dad was murdered theory bc the squad investigates with him and they find out about reggie faking his murder a lot earlier! allison doesn’t get her throat cut! klaus gets the love and support HE needs!! and decides (with ben’s input) that he needs to at least attempt to be a good role model bc five has already asked him if the drugs are more important than family when klaus tried to duck out of an allison movie night! diego gets to leak his protective instincts all over five and also take out his anger issues on the commission agents being sent after them! five gets to have an actual childhood even if he does chafe sometimes at his siblings being weird and protective!

literally the apocalypse is ended by five gasping and saying “WAIT can we go to the ZOO?” and making them all go on family trips together where everyone is included because!! they’re his siblings! he wants everyone to be there! he’s gonna see a lion motherfuckers! in person!

also a lot of the things five thinks of are things the siblings just,, never had time for. so it’s a first experience for a lot of them, and so no one really has a good reason to say no?? because they kind of want to go, too?

five, literally vibrating in excitement: i want to go on a roller coaster

like i know you said about preteen rebellion but look he’s come out into a world where his dad is dead and so there’s the potential to do ALL the things he’s always wanted to do but knew dad would never let him like holy shit!! family laser tag! paintball! let’s take a roadtrip to the beach guys i’ve never seen the ocean!! let’s go ice skating! go on a ferris wheel! eat ice cream on the couch! throw popcorn at the tv! lets blast abba songs through the house and make a blanket fort!!!

like it’s gonna take a while to get through the exhausting excitement of “LOOK AT ALL THESE FORMERLY FORBIDDEN THINGS I CAN TRY”

and just throughout this they’re dispatching commission agents and fighting hazel and cha-cha and trying to figure out what the fuck is going on with that as well as teaching vanya how to control her powers which everyone is trying to help out with and also dealing with five literally bouncing off the walls one half of the time and the other half of the time being passed out somewhere due to running out of energy

could you talk about yellow diamonds feelings after going to the moon? i've been re-reading the manga and feel like she's really traumatized

oh boi, are they.

As i mentioned in another meta (and also here), Yellow doesnt really have a reason to keep going. They’re the eldest, they know better than anyone that this war doesnt make sense and that theres no point in fighting. Thats why they follow Phos: what do they have to lose?

so they go to the moon and they find out that every gem has been turned to dust. There is no one yellow can apologize to. maybe there never will. but this is still okay. padparadscha woke up, things are still looking a little better than before. and then the night raid happens.

i believe this is where Yellow Diamond realizes that they still had something to lose: hope. faith in their friends and in the system. faith in phos. Now things are moving too fast, changing too much, the gems can’t keep up. Things get violent.

Yellow Diamond didnt want to go, but Padpa convinces them. As soon as they set foot on Earth, Rutile attacks them. Yellow screams but Rutile wont listen. Padparadscha is quick to act: they shatter Rutile without a single word, right before Yellow’s eyes.

other gems come to Rutile’s rescue, Zircon is among them. They surround Yellow and Padpa. Things escalate so fast, Yellow has no idea what’s going on: why can’t they talk? why are they enemies? padpa is awake, things should be alright, and yet they arent. Padparadscha shatters Zircon, Amethyst and Neptunite with a single thrust.

Let’s not forget that Yellow Diamond is an old fighter: they’ve lost all of their partners except Zircon at war. They’re tired of fighting, and fighting is probably linked to deep emotional and psychological scars in Yellow’s mind. 

And here they are: forced to fight their own family, forced to see one of their dearest friends shatter that family before their eyes.

And then, that very friend is attacked too: Cinnabar covers Padparadscha in mercury and Padpa shatters them. Bort shatters Phos. Cairngorm shatters Phos further. And Yellow just stands there, at loss for what to do, confused. 

They ask Cairn for explanations: how could they shatter a friend? but Cairn’s answer is cold and Padpa agrees with them. 

This is not what Yellow wanted. This is too much. They just wanted to see their lost companions again, to apologize, to know what happened. They’ve had enough of war, of violence. 

It’s extremely significant that, once they get back on the moon, Yellow Diamond goes back to wearing gem clothes. It’s a way to distance themselves from the moon people and remind Yellow that they dont want anything to do with Phos’ plan anymore. 

I believe Yellow Diamond is overwhelmed, scared, devastated, lost. They’re tired. Extremely tired. That’s why they shut everyone else out: they wont talk with anyone. What else is there to do?
