Random thoughts I've had about Kimi on her bull and @majimemegoro 's Kadokura having to deal with that.
She's a top tier cleaner, well, when she's paid for it or being stubborn, her own spaces are a wreck, but just. Super uh. Unconventional about it. Does she own slippers that double as mops? Yes. Do the floors positively gleam when she leaves a room? Somehow also yes.
("I hate cleaning but I hate being told I can't even more. Mama absolutely used this against me.")
She cooks and its totally delicious. When asked for the recipe, the only response is "I have no idea I just keep adding things until it tastes right." Oddly she can replicate it, yet all attempts at writing it down or following along as she cooks fail.
("Iunno what y'all are doin' wrong. You just add things. It's not hard.")
She can recite the scientific names of most plants and the details of their care. She also kills every last one of them she touches. She's banned from the lawn. She also knows an alarming amount about naturally occurring poisons and how best to utilize avoid them.
("I wasn't allowed to touch the plants until after they were in the house. Rude.")
Speaking of alarming knowledge, she also knows a frightening amount about improvised explosives. And chemical weaponry. And a great many other dangerous things the 'average' girl wouldn't typically know about. She is extremely casual/nonchalant about this, as though it is in fact, perfectly normal.
("I dunno what to tell you, my parents are preppers. Guess I grew up weird.")
Surprisingly good at getting blood out of things. When asked she just shrugs and says that she grew up on a farm, and while she sucked at hunting, given she has no patience and too soft a heart for 'cute' things, she knows how to break down a body, and clean up when it's done.
("Dad had no stomach for butchery, so me and mama handled it".)
Inexplicably well liked when she runs into other people. She has no filter, and isn't exactly... Friendly. Will outright state she hates people. Yet really really good at small talk and getting people to trust her. However she's pretty straight forward and guiless so the most this gets used for is conning people out of the last of a snack. She gets her snack and for some reason also their entire life story. She rolls with it.
("No forreal tho, people will just, spill all their secrets while standing in line at the conbini. I don't even do anything but like. Smile?")
This. Turned into a random list of odd RGG!Kimi headcanons. I just. I'm very entertained by the idea of him and how he'd deal with... This disaster of a person XD
Especially just. He's trying to find a motive, pin down the reason she just won't leave. And she's just like "iunno". She genuinely doesn't know either, she's just attached now. And she doesn't know the why to that either, it just is, and that's good enough for her. She's never questioned her heart. And despite being significantly (I'm pretty sure?) younger, has such 'mom/big sis' energy for him. Which. Given she can barely take care of herself... Lmfao
("You're fired." "You don't pay me anymore. I'm a volunteer. You can't fire a volunteer." "Yes. Yes you can." "Mmm I disagree." - how I imagine this exchange)
RGG!Kimi, especially in iterations like this one, is so fun. She has a loose basis in actual upbringing, but twisted and exaggerated. I like toying with it.
She defies logic in ways that are so humanly confusing. People are weird. She's weird.

Do you ship any of the turtles with anyone? or do you ship anything in rise at all?
(This ended up being a lot longer an answer than I intended hoo boy sorry about that)
Hmmm, I’m not too big a shipper tbh! Especially since I really enjoy canon interactions backing my ships, so it’s hard for me to actively like any that don’t really have that going for them. There’s plenty that I see around that I think are cute, but that’s usually the extent of my thought process for them.
For ships I more actively have, I guess I like AprilxSunita! They’re very very cute and I think they have some huge meet cute energy in their first episode together, and their chemistry is genuinely adorable (plus them being featured means more April screentime which is ALWAYS a good thing.)
I also think AprilxCasey (and when I say Casey I mean our OG girl) is really good, as I’m a sucker for enemies to lovers, and I think they have a lot in common and just bounce off each other very well (not to mention this ship in other iterations of TMNT has a loooooot going for it.)
Keeping the chain going, I think RaphxCasey (again, OG Casey) is also one with a tonnnnn of potential. They have a lot of common characteristics, and considering Raph’s whole thing with Franken-Foot, I really think there’s a lot of room there for a relationship to develop. Plus, like AprilxCasey, Raph and Casey tend to have a close relationship throughout the iterations of TMNT and it would be great to see that more with these two, even if not romantically.
Actually going back to enemies to lovers, I unironically think there’s a ton going for DonniexKendra. I know a lot of people hate this ship, but I don’t and I actually think it could very easily work whether in a love-hate way or a slow burn way. There’s a lot to like here and honestly they’re good together! Kendra is legit Donnie’s type too haha (cute, but mean.)
Lastly, SplinterxDraxum is good…when done right. I really like when people take it and don’t undermine the very real trauma that Splinter has gone through. As I’ve stated a lot, I love me some enemies to lovers, so I can see the potential here. Plus lbr Draxum was down BAD for Lou Jitsu when he first saw him haha.
I think that’s the extent to what I actively like? Everything else usually falls into “aw cute” or “ehhh not for me thanks”. And before you ask YES leosagi is cute and I’ll read fics with it if the premise is appealing, but I’m afraid I need some canon interactions to establish base character dynamics before I actively ship it alas.😔 Super cute though, no hate to it or any of the other CanonxCharacter-they’ve-never-met ships, I genuinely think people should just have fun! And for what it’s worth I really do wish we got a Usagi and Leo interaction in Rise like we have in other iterations.:(
So yeah. Overall, I have a few ships I enjoy, but I fall much more in the “prefer to keep everyone to themselves and make the focus family and friendship” category.

What about au where smiler was partially marmalised and works for the ministry and is trying to manipulate Victor and Alice into getting marmalised and becoming advocates
*waggles hand* So, not opposed to such an AU, but it would have to end with Alice and Victor getting Smiler out of the Ministry instead of Smiler successfully getting them to become Advocates. Reason being is, well, a Smiler working for the Ministry and trying to manipulate Victor and Alice is an unethical mind controller! And we know what Alice does to unethical mind controllers:
[ID: Animated gif by thedestinysunknown of the moment in A:MR when Alice, in her Wonderland form, shoves Bumby off the platform of the Underground station and into the path of an oncoming train]
Yeaaah, if you've ever thought my Smiler seems a little nice when compared to the coaster's actual theme, that's the reason. I had to give them ethics, otherwise they were going to get stabbed. So yeah, an AU like that would have to be along the lines of Smiler trying to get Victor and Alice to join up, only for Victor and Alice to instead show THEM how the Ministry is actually not really interested in happiness and is pretty evil honestly and get them out of there. (Which is actually not dissimilar to what happens in my Londerland Bloodlines AU (after the events of the game), where Smiler THINKS they've joined a group interested in making people happy and helping them through rough patches in their lives, but in fact the Ministry they've fallen in with is Ministry as in "Formerly The Followers of Set," and THEY'RE more interested in corrupting people with false joy...awful shame that they end up targeting Victor...)

My boss caught me alone on Friday and asked if I'd like a new side project.
I said this side project wasn't something I knew how to do, but that I was willing to learn. And that it was my understanding that physicists with the skill set for a project like this were very rare and in very high demand, and it would therefore probably be of benefit to the company to give me the time to learn to do this task. But that it would take time. He agreed, he would like to have an employee who could merge physics knowledge with this skill set, but it would take time.
He then said, what if I supervised a new-ish hire--who was hired for this exact skill set, but who isn't a physicist--instead? He went on to explain that the new hire was having trouble following directions, so he wanted to put him on a new project with a new supervisor, to give him a fresh start (possibly a last chance situation, but he didn't quite say that). And because he was having problems with following directions, and because he was not a physicist and this, ultimately, is a physics project, I would need to closely supervise him.
So, uh, that's a very different assignment. And admittedly my first thought was, "oh no, not again," because I think this is the third time in my career something like this has happened to me, where I've been handed a problem employee as a last resort, and it's never gone well.
Anyway, I said that in order to do a close supervision, I'd probably still have to learn the skill set myself to some degree, just to be able to answer questions and know what he was doing. (One time, in a similar situation, I didn't learn the skill set that my subordinate was supposed to be using, and it went especially poorly. But I didn't say that--best not to talk about my past failures.) At the end of the conversation, it seemed like my boss and I were in agreement that that's what we would try.
So, we'll see how this goes...
