It’s fascinating that some islanders disapprove or act disapproving of q!Bad’s actions but aren’t willing to actively do anything to stop him nor get involved nor snitch. Which is fair, i mean, the only people they can snitch to are the federation and the belief that islanders come first is probably the correct one; and none of them can really stand up to him even as a group - q!Etoiles perhaps being the exception. but just. Hm.

the way this fandom treats characters is astounding. like y’all do realize that every single character is shitty, right? literally every last one. your blorbo is not an exception. no, “but my fave—” no exceptions. literally the only character that i can’t think of any issues with off the top of my head is farah.

I love how my unintentional excuse as to why Alestair and Idan never have to go to work is because they ran away and basically quit without notice.

#this has always been a part of the story though as the first ever thing I wrote with Alestair involved what happened #but Idan stops working there because of that #Mara's job pays a LOT and is hire based so she can do whatever #Vilissa is like the only character that has to regularly work LMAO #but also Vi wouldn't let Alestair get a job when they were dating #as for Fae she's a sex worker so she does it whenever #Fritz and Jer are employed but they don't even get heavily involved in helping until Love and that is explained away (thanks Vi)#as for other stoires #the children in Sunshine are too young to work #the parents do work and leave regularly but aren't really heavily involved #and the adults just take care of themselves with the stuff they have or work if they want (like Norie)#there is no currently running school in the castle (but there used to be)#Barle is a con artist so he would sell junk he fixed up but after getting kidnapped by Shika he doesn't really worry about that anymore #Shika and Fria have disposable income as they are just looking for Barle (Shika the princess and Fria a royal bodyguard)#and Charlie is a bounty hunter so he has freelance (and later a courier)#Flick and Millie are child and Nick is jobless and he's a bird currently so he just needs to eat a little #Ebers is a fortune teller so she does that whenever #also since Millie doesn't care about school she skips out after Flick shows up #And Flick is basically kidnapped so she doesn't got to school as she can't even go there #Seth is homeless and gets things out of making deals with others which he sometimes sell expensive items to get money #Lia and Giles leave behind their lives to adventure but were previously self employed (small businesses)#Myrtle is a Princess so she has that responsibility and disposable income #Sylas is a hunter but there isn't really any work to be done if most of the kingdom is under a sleeping spell #Nym uses the stuff that Elysa left behind in death but he was a Farmer back home not that he can get back home #Pokey runs the train station and the venue but he also isn't getting a lot of business from the inner kingdom #that's just the main stories lolll #every story has some kinda excuse about not working while the story happens

it's embarrassing how long this took to sink in for me but i've finally realized the reason the vast majority of people people are so evil and insane about israel vs palestine is because they fundamentally see neither side as human

#keese draws #oni posting #first two are from the main rat universe #long story short a while after founding gravitas olivia was like ok so I think me being your boss in our company that we spend most of our #days at has left our relationship in a place that I’m uncomfortable with so we’re getting a divorce now sorry #and jackie proceeded to throw a fit abt that for several years until she got fired over it #in another petty act she tried to break back in to steal some of the work she had done there but got caught #and unfortunately for her during the past several years olivia has been slowly having mere morals broken down piece by piece by the allure #of progress and by the time she did her breaking and entering scheme olivia was far past the point of being ok with kidnapping #the second two are the rabbit universe girlies and they’re less openly hostile with eachother but they still are bad for eachother #they’ve known eachother since childhood and jackie has basically been using olivia as a therapist since they were teens #this lead to them developing an increasingly unhealthy codependent relationship where olivia ends up acting incredibly irresponsibly as #director of gravitas due to her being so stressed and paranoid about jackie all the time #and the third two are the raccoon au which is basically just jackie being too scared of rejection to put her work under her name so she #asks olivia to take credit for it which she does and she ends up getting all the credit and praise for a lot of the early work at gravitas #this combined with jackie’s constant worshipping of her slowly began to lead to it kinda getting into her head #and jackie was also letting it get to her head and eventually her ambition got the better of her and she ended up attacking olivia #now these are all just the basic concepts I currently have these aus are all still in the concept stages #for example I’m still figuring out how I wanna involve the other scientists and if I switch their roles around too #but yeah I’ve been thinking abt these guys lately so they get drawn 👍#oh also fun fact these aus are inspired by the scrapped content back when olivia was jodi #which is why I characterize these two a bit differently then I might if I was leaning more towards my normal stuff #theyre characterized more closely to old jackie and jodie including origin story wise

#real quick I’ll say that I like to see Bruce working a job because it’s actually a nice novelty #stories where he gets to settle down someplace long enough to do that are few and far between #and I’ll note that Bruce having a peaceful dream and not a nightmare ‘for once’ is attributed to him having been tranquilized #the most important thing here is Bruce’s inclusion in a nuclear power story #also few and far between even though he’s well-suited for it because it’s the Hulk that’s the star #actually it’s a novelty for when this story was published in the late 70s #in the very very early Hulk comics it was a bit more balanced between Bruce and the Hulk or leaned towards Bruce as the focus #and with his job and then-recent origin story and the time period of the early 60s there was an emphasis on nuclear power and Russia #but I think that since then the only story I can think of that involved Bruce with Russia and nuclear power was actually a Defenders story #‘if you’re trying to kidnap me for the atomic secrets inside my head you’ve bitten off more than you can chew.’#yeah no kidding #marvel #bruce banner #my posts #comic panels

One of the most annoying things about conspiracy theories is that most of them contain a kernel of truth so when you say “X thing is fake” all the supporters of that conspiracy theory will be like “what about *one true thing*?” and it’s like “yes that specific thing is real but it doesn’t prove all your other claims”.

#this is very common with people who believe the satanic panic was real #like are there cults who practice ritual abuse? unfortunately yes #but a. most of those cults weren't even satanic in nature #and b. it's doesn't mean that heavy metal and d&d were being used to bring the youth over to satanism #it doesn't mean there was a wide network of satanists infiltrating every aspect of society #it does not mean that a huge number of crimes in america were connected to satanic cults and ritual abuse #it does not mean that young *white* children were routinely being kidnapped to be sacrificed to satan #the satanic panic was used to punish and ostracize those who didn't fit it: goths - metalheads - nerds - and the lgbt community #and the absolute devastation the satanic panic caused does not get to be excused just because a handful of abusive cults exist #and you know what maybe there was abuse at mcmartin preschool but it would just be run of the mill abuse #not this crazy ritualist abuse involving killing babies and drinking blood and being flushed down toilets #it's actually sad how badly that case was handled because we'll never find out if there really was abuse since of all the satanic panic stuf #anyway the satanic panic was bullshit and ruined a lot of lives and it wasn't justified just because a handful of cults exist
