Day 118: MP-10 Optimus Prime/Convoy (Transformers Masterpiece)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Today is my Birthday! It’s been a pretty good day, so I drew one of my favorite figures in my collection to celebrate! This is MP-10 Optimus Prime! …kinda…
It’s really the MPP 10 upscale of the original MP 10. It was cheaper to get than the original, and it’s nice and heavy due to some added Diecast Metal in the feet and chest. He’s also HUGE.
Tumblr media
The original MP-10 is the size of a leader class. This guy’s a heck of a lot bigger than that!
Tumblr media
He even makes the Ultra class toy of Optimus Primal look in scale!
Tumblr media
Kinda…

For the Optimus in Episode 1 Timeline, what will Marley do next now that they have a hostage?
Previous Episode of the Episode 1 Timeline
Hostage? *Looks over notes*, they don't have hostage. No, Annie and Bertholdt are trying to make friends with Krista because they've confirmed she's of royal blood. But they haven't kidnapped her yet.
I do have a few ideas for the Episode 1 Timeline though.
-So I do believe that the war that Marley is engaged in with the Middle Eastern Nations because they have the Armored Titan now, will cause a time skip. Marley doesn't know where Annie and Bertholdt are. They don't know that Marcel is dead. The only titan warriors available to them are Pieck and Zeke, and Lara is with Willy and the ambassadors and military heads of Marley to negotiate with Paradis.
-It takes about three years, but Marley barely wins that war, and the Middle Eastern Nations still have the Armored Titan on their side. They're not going to give that up. It's the first clear sign of Marley's power significantly waning, and it's making other nations very eager to just get the jump on Marley and destroy the country.
-Marley has asked for Optimus Prime's help in the war, but Optimus has profusely refused to help for two spoken reasons, and one secret reason (based in guilt and trauma). One, he refuses to kill humans. Two, he is not going to aid Marley without knowing whether or not they could be trusted. He has no idea if they would betray Optimus and kill him or whatever. His third reason, which he has kept quiet about, he doesn't want to face the Armored Titan again. Figuring out that the previous holder was a human and a child at that, is something he will never truly recover from.
-They've tried asking Megatron (or Galvatron in this timeline) once. I'll leave it up to your imagination on how that went.
-Because Eren, Mikasa, and Armin are now with the Survey Corps, they have become absolute monsters when it comes to using the 3D gear because they are being trained by the best of the best. Armin's ability in this timeline would have actually qualified him for the top ten spot in the trainee program.
-And because the Shinganshina trio is not in the Cadet Core and Reiner is dead, the top ten ranking has changed to (from 1 to 10): Bertholdt, Annie, Jean, Connie, Marco, Sasha, Krista, Ymir, Thomas, and Mina. Because it's implied that Ymir intentionally did bad so that Krista would have a better shot at getting into the MPs, but this time around she has more wiggle room to qualify.
-Annie is able to successfully make friends with Krista, but it ultimately makes her feel extremely guilty because she knows her background and her circumstances. Ymir definitely knows that something is wrong, but they don't have the evidence.
-Due to the conditions this time around, Bertholdt and Annie go to the Survey Corps because they need to gain easier access to Marley.
-Marley is extremely frustrated that they haven't been able to find Annie and Bertholdt's location or gain any important information about who's the Founding Titan. They decide that after the war, they were going to send Pieck to spy in Paradis to gather some intel. Because the Survey Corps have seen Zeke a few times during initial meetings. But they haven't seen Pieck so it's easier to slip in.
-I did have an extremely messed up thought of Ramzi being the Armored Titan (the kid thief and got killed during the Rumbling). I was thinking that the current holder of the Armored Titan has shown multiple signs of insubordination and treason, so the M.E.A feed him over to someone else, a child that's easier to manipulate and mold, aka Ramzi. But I don't know how that would add up age wise. It's implied that Ramzi is a subject of Ymir because he saw Founder Ymir before he died. But the kid would be so young at that time. So IDK if it would work.
(Bare with me on the Episode 1 timeline. Because again, the whole plot has been thrown out the window so I really have to think about how I would want this timeline to go.)

top 10 obscure transformers (as in like, toy or comics only weirdos I don't think anyone who's shown up in an actual show should count for this)
10. Revenge Of The Fallen Swerve, a dude I had never ever head of until I came across him in vehicle mode at a flea market and assumed he was some kind of G1 dece movie Sideswipe. He's in last cause hes quite boring besides just the fact he exists
Tumblr media
9. Universe Buckethead, a member of the micromaster Constructicons so basically invisible on his own, but I've always though he was fun for not just being Scrapper and also because of his very silly name
Tumblr media
8. Transformers 2010 Mindset, almost exactly the same story as Swerve but he scores higher cause I think he's cooler
Tumblr media
7. Marvel Comics Hook, Line, and Sinker, three servants of Unicron who were around for some pretty major events and have cool designs but are THE lamest guys ever because of the names. Can you imagine how funny it would have been if we'd had these guys in Rise Of The Beasts instead of Scourge, Battletrap, and Nightbird?
Tumblr media
6. Power Of The Primes Battleslash & Roadtrap (speaking of Battletrap), two guys made up to give the two vehicles that form G1 Battletrap their own robot modes. Battleslash could probably take this spot on his own as he's a bit more forgettable, but do not separate them
Tumblr media
5. Energon Ultra Magnus, one of many 11th hour Armada repaints that got crammed into Energon to bolster the ranks, and probably the toy responsible for making me think Ultra Magnus is cool
Tumblr media
4. Generations Selects Galactic Man Shockwave, an early example of GenSel doing what the hell ever by repainting Siege Shockwave to reference RadioShacks Galactic Man, a cousin of G1 Shockwave (in that RadioShack released the Astro Magnum toy he was based on) that I actually own. I'd own this too if it weren't insanely expensive on the aftermarket
Tumblr media
3. Golden Disc Collection Road Ranger, effectively a generations toy of a 2004 ehobby repaint of G1 Huffer to be the Go-Bots character Road Ranger, except he wasn't called that cause Takara were worried about infringing Bandais trademark. That's not important though, whats important is he looks hard in black and orange and comes with a spartan laser
Tumblr media
2. Combiner Wars Scrounge, a pack in accessory to Combiner Wars Computron plucked from a few issues of the Marvel Comic that I owned in a paperback as a kid, and who I paid entirely too much for on his own on ebay
Tumblr media
Masterpiece Reboost, a repaint of the recent MP Skids based (despite appearences NOT on Optimus) on one of G1 Skids many pre-tf Diaclone colour schemes. A toy I bought entirely because he turns into a Honda City Turbo, a car which the british band Madness did adverts for in the 80s, which were included on a VHS of their music videos that I watched to death as a child

I used some of my BronyCon vendor earnings to buy the toy I’ve wanted since 2012:  MP-10 Masterpiece Optimus Prime/Convoy!  My cousin got him a while ago and I took a pic and showed it on my Tumblr back when I just got started with Tumblr but now I have him for myself and he’s epic!
What you’re seeing here isn’t even all that he is included with, I will make a separate post with everything the trailer, Roller, and Spike can do.

The 100% Official Transformers / Evangelion Crossover That Everyone Forgot About
So, in 2014, Takara Tomy released a crossover called Transformers Mode “Eva”, which was a four part webcomic including the above four illustrations.
Takara Tomy released a special edition Optimus Prime, MP-10 Convoy Mode "Eva", which featured a NERV trailer design and colour scheme.
Convoy EVA: FUCK YEAH
I mean, look at him. Look at how much it rules.
Tumblr media
Oh my God, YES.
I love the EVA-style Optimus Prime helm design here; The paint job does a lot to make this feel just right.
It’s subtle in terms of difference from his usual face paint, but the very plain, bold white-on-black eye paint detail does a hell of a lot to give Optimus the correct stylistic vibe.
If you look real close, the eye shape is just sliiiiiightly different, almost negligibly so. The eyes are also very slightly wider across than usual, too. Not by much at all, but it matters!
The stark black and white is classic, and does a lot to “flatten” the way he looks in conjunction with the rest of the repaint, without losing the physical sense of big blocky dimensions which we expect from an Optimus Prime figure-- Thus making it seem like he’s been cel animated, almost.
Including this particular gun is also a great touch; It’s a more robot-retro design that we typically see with Transformers and has a more plausibly realistic army grey-green paint colour with that nice orange pop colour to match the glass tone, which really sells the Evangelion vibe of this Prime without removing it too far from what makes him recognisable as a Transformer!
It’s extremely cool, and it’s a nice effect that has been accomplished with relatively little adjustment to the base figure model!
I can see how some people might consider the colour scheme here to be a bit too close to the purples/greens used for Shattered Glass Optimus, but I do like the brighter pop colours of primary yellow and lime green, along with a slightly brighter purple which makes the orange tint glass/panels pop that much more.
The vibe is pretty solid, all around. Personally, I like it! :)
BUT ANYWAY.
The Plot of the Crossover:
Get ready for this shit. It’s awesome.
(If you aren’t familiar with Evangelion, I’m linking to the relevant info so you can check it out if you want!)
So, Starscream is killed, but his ghost screws around and possesses an Angel.
Holy shit.
The Autobots find out that some nonsense is happening on Earth, so they show up, and find EVA-01. Optimus scans it, and adjusts his size to EVA scale, adopting the new paint job in the process.
This (rightfully) FREAKS EVERYONE THE FUCK OUT.
Optimus says he’s feeling okay, but admits that he actually does sense something different in EVA Mode-- As though he’s “carrying another lifeforce within his body”. HMMMMMMM.
But before this can be investigated further, Angel-scream and Optimus EVA Mode engage in battle, which is picked up by NERV, who then intervene.
Angel-scream doesn’t care and goes straight for Prime again, at which point Wheeljack gets in contact with Misato at NERV.
It turns out they have no other EVAs available, so everything rides on Optimus kicking Angel-scream’s ass.
Unfortunately, nobody is able to assist Optimus, as Angel-scream has a hell of an AT Field, and it’s acting as a defensive barrier.
Misato, realising shit is fucked, directs the battle field (Tokyo-3)’s geometry to shift-- something that Optimus says reminds him of Metroplex. Holy fuck, YES.
This allows for a few other bots, namely Bumblebee, to join the fight and start messing with Angel-scream, who has a hard time trying to target the smaller bots owing to his newly massive size.
As Angel-scream stumbles on the changing terrain, EVA Mode Optimus takes the chance to use his red core energy to charge his Battle Axe and cleave it through Angel-scream’s AT Field until it reaches his core, dispersing him into red liquid.
Yiiiiikes.
After the battle field is cleared, Optimus reverts to his root mode, and NERV starts working on a new trailer for him which can serve as a mobile maintenance/operations centre for his EVA Mode.
Realising that both more Decepticons and more Angels are likely to appear soon, NERV and the Autobots team up and create a joint force on Earth.
Optimus reassures Misato that their goals are the same and that he and the other Autobots are happy to defend Earth against both threats.
However, Misato agrees, but looks at Optimus with anticipation... and fear.
TL;DR: Transformers Evangelion Fucking Rules
Important / interesting things to note:
1) Technically this is region-specific canon, as it is an official crossover as part of the Japanese Transformers lore via Takara Tomy. This story takes place in a universe designated “Primax 514.23 Iota”.
2) Optimus in EVA Mode “senses within himself another lifeform” UHHH THAT’S PRETTY SERIOUS LMAO ????? oh shit!!!
But seriously, since EVAs are essentially techno-organic lifeforms, does this imply that when Optimus engages his EVA Mode, he becomes techno-organic in the same way?
This is so fucking interesting to think about LMAO oh my goddd
3) Similarly, EVAs seem to put Cybertronians on edge in general for reasons none of them can exactly identify or articulate, and clearly if a bot is to take an EVA form as an alt-mode, some suspicious shit starts happening to them.
4) Evidently it is possible for Cybertronian sparks to transfer life energy to an Angel in the event of serious damage or death -- “Possession” is possible across different species-- Since the exact nature of Angels is unknown!!!
5) The story doesn’t specify if EVA-01 was being operated by a pilot directly, or if it was being operated remotely in this story. Optimus scanned EVA-01 on scene in order to generate an EVA alt-mode, and then states he “felt another life inside of him”, but anyone familiar with Evangelion is probably aware that this could have several implications (most of which are potentially horrifying) so hey, that’s a thing!!!!
6) Optimus in EVA Mode is apparently fucking terrifying to all of the other bots, as well as all of the humans. Understandable! Because HOLY FUCK. Especially since being in EVA Mode seems to have some kind of weird effect...!
----
This story fucking rules and somehow I never see anyone talk about it, possibly because I’m not sure how popular Evangelion is with TF fans in general and of course it was a Japan-only regional thing for the most part, but I figured I’d bring it to attention because it’s a great concept and super interesting to think about!
If you want to read the original Japanese crossover story webcomic, you can find it here as it’s been archived!
I hope this has been an interesting read for someone out there! :)

Transformers
Generation Selects
Shattered Glass Optimus Prime & Ratchet
by Hasbro (2021)
Gen Selects Shattered Glass Optimus Prime and Ratchet was a set I was looking forward too. This was an Amazon exclusive, and really all they are, are repaints of the Earthrise Optimus and Ratchet.
Tumblr media
Ratchet (Evil Autobot Medic):
Evil Autobot Ratchet is...still an ambulance...but an evil ambulance.
Still cast in white plastic, with teal, clear plastic windows, and a purple (or is it pink?) Autobot batch on the roof.
Vehicle Mode:
Tumblr media
The exposed robot feet are still present on this mold.
Tumblr media
Robot Mode:
In robot mode evil Ratchet, again has no mold changes; he’s all repaint, is white and teal cast plastics with some purple accent colors on his shoulders, and his forehead chevron.
I even like the dark gray face and the red eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As you can see, the differences between the two Ratchets are all in the paint shceme.
Tumblr media
Optimus Prime (Evil Autobot Leader):
Evil Optimus Prime is still a truck, but no trailer for this toy, unfortunately.
Much like the MP Shattered Glass Optimus I got for my birthday two years ago I would have preferred the damaged windows to be sculpted, and not simply painted. Still, it’s a nice effect.
Vehicle Mode:
Tumblr media
It rolls well, as toy trucks are supposed to do, and that’s just fine by me.
Comparing Gen Selects SG Optimus to my KO SG Optimus you can see that the official one is more pink, and the KO (which is based on the original Botcon version is more pink.
I also would have preferred the BIG Autobot badge on the side of the truck of the KO.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Robot Mode:
Optimus Prime is robot mode is, again, a repaint of the Earthrise version.
Tumblr media
I love this pose, especially the way the light makes his red eyes pop.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Evil Optimus comes with a removable Matrix (of Conquest, I’m assuming).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And comparing my KO evil Optimus to my Hasbro version you can see the older mold it slightly larger, and of course, more pink.
Tumblr media
Final Thoughts:
I’ve said this once, and I’ll say it again, I love the concept of Shattered Glass Transformers, and have another evil Optimus Prime, and to FINALLY have evil Ratchet is a real treat for me.

Weibo user NOTRAB delivers with images of Power of the Primes Optimus Prime standing alongside his MP-10 Masterpiece counterpart.
The comparison is an interesting one – while some different aesthetic choices have been made, and the engineering and budget impose different constraints, the size and proportions of PotP Optimus are eerily similar to the Masterpiece.
See the original posting by NOTRAB here.
Thanks to Allspark icon Powered Convoy for sharing this with us. Discuss the comparison and the new Optimus Prime on the Allspark Forums here, and stop here first if you’re new and need an account!

Top 10 Transformers of 2019 - Part 1
Tumblr media
If you’ve been following, it’s been two years since my last one of these. Technically more given that we’re now deep past the winter of 2020. But end of year lists have a wistful character. They keep ajar a casual window into that tricky thing that is memory lane. They crystallise memories, feelings and journeys into something that attempts to qualify and quantify the experiences of some arbitrary tract of time in our lives. When life comes faster at you with each passing season, where each year seems faster than the last, lists offer some solace, some sense of growth, some recognition of where we’ve come from.
I guess that’s why despite 2019 seeming so distant, I’ve persisted with making this list of my top 10 Transformers of 2019. There is something different this year though. Something I’ve been plugging away at for awhile now. This year I bring together my nerdy side with my collecting and underpin it with a Transformers scoring system. Yes, I’ve developed and calibrated a scoring system for Transformers. Why you ask? Well the easy answer is I’m a data person and I like to frame the way I look and understand the world through code and data.
The longer answer is I like to understand myself, understand why I collect and like what I like. With so much available these days, it’s easy to lose track of what really resonates with us, chasing that new shiny thing, that new experience, and quickly forget why we’re buying what we buy. This scoring system is my attempt to track this and quantify not just what I have purchased but also what I purchase going forward. So this year, you’ll see me provide two scores. My “weighted”  / subjective score and an ”objective” score in brackets. Both are out of 100.
Where does this difference come from? In designing my system I recognised that how we value things differ from person to person. For instance some people place high emphasis on transformation and handling while others adore articulation and sculpt. So my scoring system attempts to factor this in by providing a “weighted” score to reflect my personal subjective leanings. The objective score is how it ranks objectively on each of the metrics scored. So that’s some context but I won’t bore you with too many more details. If there’s enough interest, I’ll write more about it sometime. But I will say this scoring system is great as I already what my top 10 for 2020 is at this stage!
A part of me was going to separate the list into transforming and non-transforming toys but I decided against it. They’re all Transformers in the end, it’s the reason we buy them. Whether its a plushie, a statue or articulated action figure they all have their merits.
One last note is I’ve also added to each figure a section called “a moment” where I try to capture a moment of where I was, how I felt when experiencing this figure. I spend a lot of time with these figures behind the camera and posing them, often in lovely natural places where I’m reflecting on a lot of things about the world, life and whatnot. There’s a range of feelings that come with that and for me that’s part of what collecting is about, the emotions these figures stir in you.
So without further ado, let’s roll out!
Honorable Mentions:
MP-44: Convoy
Tumblr media
Weighted Score: 89.0% (88%)
Why: While its where my love for Transformers comes from, G1 is no longer where my collecting heart lies. The price, the over-engineering, and QC issues… there were a lot of reasons I didn’t want to buy this. But we lost a dear member of our community @TCracker/@hirohitokusanagi last year and this was a figure he was desperately trying to hold on for. That he couldn’t made this something I felt I had to experience. Even more so as I struggled with my own battle with cancer. This figure is a good figure but sometimes we buy things and they mean more because of the people we’ve met along the way. Simon brought so many sparks of joy with his photography and the opportunity to dedicate a shoot to him was the best way I could honour him. Whenever I shoot this figure, I think of Simon and am grateful for the inspiration he provided and his contribution to our community.
The Moment: It was early spring when this figure arrived. We were due in NZ the day after and I was in a horribly weakened state after my sixth round of chemo. But I hobbled the 2km to my post office to pick it up and shoot it that sunset. My process is to normally spend time experiencing a figure before trying to transform and photograph at sunset as its a small window of 20-30 minutes at best. But I knew time was against me and that with a few weeks in NZ it’d really bother me not being able to have a crack at it given how much it meant to me. So in the days preceding that day, I’d watched video after video of the transformation. I started sunset with the video on the big screen TV in case I needed to refer to it. It was one of my most intense shoots of the year and a lot of that pressure self-imposed. But emotionally, it was one of the most fulfilling.
Tumblr media
Iron Factory Blue Flash
Weighted Score: 89.5% (86.7%)
Tumblr media
Why: The only thing I owned of Bluestreak as a kid was a jigsaw puzzle. In it he was depicted in this sleek and flashy blue. From that moment, I’d always dreamt of owning an awesome blue Bluestreak. And despite happily owning the Masterpiece and Collector Club version, this was the one for me as it combined that essence with a neo-G1 design.
Moment: Sitting by our local waterfall not long after I’d been diagnosed with cancer it was quite emotional. I remember staring blankly at it and not starting the shoot as the water cascaded in the background. Thinking about that puzzle, the life I’d led in primary school and how far I’d come.
With that let’s get into slots 10-6!
10. Amazing Yamaguchi N-14: Optimus Prime
Weighted Score: 90.1% (86.9%)
Tumblr media
Why: Expressiveness is an area that’s increasing at the top of my want list for a figure and this has it in spades. Between the different hands, the stellar ab crunch and butterfly shoulder, it maximises its pure action figure focus to give us a figure that’s so much fun to pose with emotion. It’s really one torso swivel away from greatness.
Moment: The moment comes from this year where I combined a shoot with Siege Omega in base mode where it captured all the emotion of leaving your home, being unable to stay because you need to seek refuge elsewhere. Something that I think that’s understated about Transformers is that they’re refugees and that shot really captured the weight of emotion of having to leave.
9. Master Made SDT-06: Overlord
Weighted Score: 90.5% (90%)
Tumblr media
Why: For as long as I’ve been doing these lists, there’s not a year I remember when Master Made did not make an entry. They continue to put out some of the most beautifully engineered and fun figures on the market and Overlord was no exception. The sharp edges of the jet half combined with the bulk of the tank are top notch. Add the extra non super-deformed head so that one can use it with Iron Factory legends and combine that with their neo-G1 take on it, this thing hits all the right spots.
The Moment: I remember setting in for sunset in late autumn with the jet mode on an evening after I’d come home after bouncing in and out of hospital as they hadn’t been able to work out what was going on with my body other than it was failing. This sense of soaring as I photographed him was something that put a smile on my face in that moment of uncertainty.
8. TLK Hot Rod (Unique Toys K-03 La Hire)
Weighted Score: 90.7% (98%)
Tumblr media
Why: This is the first figure where I want to talk about the difference in the weighted score and the objective score. This figure is objectively one of the best Transformers in my collection at 98/100. It scores so high across articulation, engineering, handling, aesthetic, paint job that it actually is the highest scoring figure in 2019. However it gets brought down because of one thing: connection. I gave up on watching the Bayverse movies as I just weren’t enjoying them anymore and so as great as this figure is, that’s why it ends up scaling down to 90.7. Maybe if it had more elements of G1 Hot Rod I’d have connected with it despite not seeing the movies but that’s not to be. With that, you’re right to guess that one of my strong subjective weightings is “connection“.
Moment: It was a warm morning in September last year when I got this figure. I was sitting on the balcony with my partner and feeling awful as it was not long after a round of chemo but I remember repeatedly going “wow”, “holy crap”, “wow” as I step by step learnt all the nuances of this beautiful figure.
7. Cross Dimension Metallic Optimus Prime (MTCD-01P Striker Manus)
Weighted Score: 90.8% (88%)
Tumblr media
Why: The Cross Dimensions line epitomises everything I love and want from Transformers. Fresh designs that take from various parts of the expansive TF universe without being slavish to any particular part. Despite already owning the first iteration of this figure, the dark metallic red, golds and blue elevate what was already a great figure way ahead of its time. Add the extra weapons pack all tinged with orange translucent highlights and you have yourself an absolute winner.
Moment: The joy of having him wield the translucent axe was magical. While the smokestack axes look nice, they don’t pack that same punch. I spent many hours in front of the TV posing him over and over.
6. MMC Senator Ratbat (R-42 Ultio)
Weighted Score: 91.3% (90.7%)
Tumblr media
Why: Since Takara did the Senator Ratbat in the TG line all those years back from the United Scourge mould, I’ve loved the idea of a Cybertronian Ratbat and boy did MMC deliver. If you’d ask me whether they could’ve done it from the Stray mould I’d have laughed but its executed so perfectly and keeps a lot of the great engineering and articulation present in the core Stray design while adding the wings that double as a cape in robot mode and pincers in alt mode. It’s a menacingly alt mode and that purple is just fine.
Moment: I’d had the figure for a little while and was itching to shoot it but between treatment and friends who were visiting it took awhile for me to get to it before and when I did I was thwarted by many boring sunsets. It took me almost a whole week where the days would be fine but then offer not that much by the way of an interesting sunsets. But when I got the chance, I loved shooting that alt mode from all of its glorious angles. I remember finishing and feeling an overwhelming sense of contentment. Things were looking up, I was a healthier, a bit stronger, and fortunate enough to have a great friend come visit.
That rounds out the first half of my top 10 list. Join me back in a few days when we work through the top five and I make some other interesting data driven observations about my collection in 2019.

Hey so i was inspired by some of those fanservant posts and made one for Optimus Prime since im on a TF kick lmao
Servant: Optimus Prime / Servant Class: Ruler
Origin: Transformers Universe / Region: Cybertron, Earth
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Aliases: Leader of the Autobots, Orion Pax, Last of the Primes, The Thirteenth
Parameters: STR (A+++++) / END (EX) / AGL (B) / MP (E) / LUK (E) / NP (EX)
Class Skills: Magic Resistance (EX) / Rank of Prime (EX)
Character Info: In a far-off universe, on a far-off planet, a race of sentient machines were born from the planet’s own life, an ancient being named Primus who had transformed himself into the planet Cybertron. A Golden Age of peace had emerged, but eventually the corrupt politics that had developed over time ended up splitting the population between the Autobots and the Decepticons. The Great War was one so brutal that it had poisoned the planet itself, forcing both factions off-world in search of resources. In these dark times, a Prime would weild the Matrix of Leadership and ensure a peaceful future for all Cybertronians…
…Orion Pax was once just a clerk who worked in the Iacon Hall of Records, unaware of the great destiny that would await him.
Skills:
Matrix of Leadership A+: The very life of Primus shared with any bot who wields it, this skill works like a unique combination of Golden Rule, Imperial Privilege and Tactics. The Matrix chooses someone with natural leadership abilities and greatly boosts their parameters, and the affected bot can in turn inspire their allies even in their darkest hour. Such a connection to an ancient otherworldly being would mean that the chosen individual would qualify as Foreigner class (within the Fate Universe), but Optimus’ sheer willpower and belief in justice means he isn’t overtaken by Primus, not that the benevolent Primus would do so even if given the chance. Optimus’ own self-sacrifical nature, however, puts him in danger more often than not, having him take the blows intended for his allies.
[8->6 Turns][Increase NP Gain (20%-30%)(3 Turns), Increase Atk(20%-30%)(3 Turns) and Def(20%-30%)(3 Turns) and Restore HP(1500-2500), and Increase NP Strength (20%-30%)(3 Turns) for All Allies. After 3 turns, decreases Def(20%-30%)(3 Turns) and grants Taunt (1 Turn)(Demerit)]
Battle Continuation EX: Optimus is no stranger to death, unfortunately. His variable existence across the multiverse due to his status as Prime means he has died many times before, yet he always finds a way back to help his fellow Autobots.
[10->8 Turns][Grants Guts status (3 Times, 5 Turns, restores 1000-2000 HP)]
Cybertronian Warfare C+: Optimus has millions of years of military experience, and is equipped with an Ion Blaster and his trademark Energon Axe. However, his original status as a civilian bot lowers the rank.
[7->5][(60%->90%) Chance to grant Evasion(1 Turn) and (60%->90%) Chance to Increase Atk(30%->50%)(1 Turn) for All Allies and (60%->90%) Change to decrease NP Strength(20%->30%)(3 Turns) for All Enemies]
Noble Phantasm:
Will Of the Primes - Optimus’ Resolve / Rank(EX)
Optimus Prime has an unyielding resolve that can never be shattered. With the Matrix of Leadership, Optimus can release an extremely powerful burst of Primus’ power that can eradicate any enemy. However, the true power of this pseudo Noble Phantasm is the large inspiration boost to his allies that can carry them through millions of years of warfare.
[Type: Arts][Increases Arts Card Effectiveness (40%->60%)(1 Turn) for All Allies and deals massive damage (800%->1200%) to All Enemies and (Overcharge Effect) Restores HP (1000->2000) for All Allies]
Bond Lines:
Bond 1: ”Hmm…This world is certainly strange, however I do look forward to working with you.”
Bond 2: “I am…saddened. One as young as you working towards saving your universe, despite being so unprepared…Well, at your side you have many dependable allies. I can power down in peace knowing they have your back.”
Bond 3: “Hmm….’Master’ is such a weird thing to call you. How about I just call you by your name instead? [name]? A fine name. I’ve worked with humans before….What? No, my head doesn’t have a cockpit for you to ride.”
Bond 4: “…Did you know I used to work with Megatron? He and I used to be allies, before he succumbed to his own lust for power. We are arch enemies now…yet I can’t help but hope he changes for the better. Any living being has the capacity for change, even…even if they them self don’t believe it.”
Bond 5: “Ha! You can certainly hold your own. I can see I’m gonna be needed here for awhile, so I swear to you on my spark that I’ll stay as long as I’m needed. You are the hope for this universe, and trust me when I tell you I can understand the weight of that burden, especially on one so young. So…if you’re ever feel sad or lonely [name]…I’ll make sure to take you on a peaceful drive.”
Voice Lines:
(1): “A catchphrase? Well, I do have a battle cry…you wanna hear it? Well then, ahem: ‘Autobots! Transform and Roll Out!’…How was that?”
(2): “Is there any natural energon in this universe?…What? Magic? Well, wouldn’t be the first time I’ve dealt with it…”
(3): “You wish to know about my people? Well…Let’s just say the list goes on and on…Though I do hope you can meet the other Autobots I’ve worked with one day.”
Likes: “What I like? Easy. Peace. I would wish that this world enters it’s own Golden Age similar to my own.”
Dislikes: “…Violence. I’ve had far too much fighting for one spark, much less all the other times I’ve needed to come back.”
Event: “[name], I’m sensing a distress signal. Let’s go!”
About The Holy Grail: “A wish granting device? Be careful with those, they only lead to trouble.”
Summon Quote: “My name is Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots. I recieved a distress beacon….A human? Um, where am I, exactly? This doesn’t look like my Earth…”
Happy Birthday: “Happy birthday, [name]. Cybertronians live for a very long time, so we make sure to celebrate the lives of smaller organics.”
(Mash Kyrielite(Pre-LB1)): “Hello there, young warrior. Do you wish to train today?…Haha, perfect! We’ll make sure you can leave a bigger dent in me than last time!”
(Mash Kyrielite(Post-LB1)): “Don’t lose heart, young one. I’m sure your powers will come back in time….Hm? A robot suit that lets you fight? You’re sounding more and more like an Autobot every day.”
(Babbage/Danzou/Mecha Eli-chan/Xiang Yu/Qin Shi Huang):”Ha! You’re Autobot material, all right!”
(Emiya/Emiya(Assasin)): “Sacrificing yourself for the cause is noble…but you’ve let yourself be consumed. I hope you can one day let yourself feel hope again. No matter the past, anyone can change.”
(Artoria Pendragon(Any Alt)): “I’m not sure why…but I feel a strange affinity with them….Hm? King Arthur? Excalibur? Wait, you can’t be serious…”
(Leonardo DaVinci/Nikola Tesla/Thomas Edison): “[name]…Please help me. They seem intent on…studying me.”
(Sherlock Holmes/James Moriarty): “[name], be careful. That shady individual has been following you for awhile now…Hm? A friend? If you say so…”
(Hijikata Toshizo): “…You are sick. I don’t think I’ve ever been as disgusted by an organic being as you.”
(Kiara Sessyoin/BB(Any Alt)): “[name], I advise caution. She feels…strange. I’m feeling a signature similar to Unicron from her.”
(Avenger Class Servants): “…You’ve been consumed by your righteous anger and grief…I just have this to say: Any living being has the capacity for change. I hope you can find peace with yourself.”
