Danny, Sophie and Dan resumes normal speed, their momentum carrying him through the spot Clockwork previously occupied and slamming them into the clock tower bell. Clockwork rewinds and forwards him through colliding with the bell a few times, Ghost Past and Ghost Present saws Danny, Sophie and Dan are in danger

Ghost Past: We have to stop him! do something

Ghost Present: We have take his staff to stop doing that!

Danny, Sophie and Dan zips out of the way and the scythe comes down on a gear, shattering it. Clockwork freezes them in midair. Over to the side, Sam, Monty, Susan and others is also frozen in the act of gasping, but Tucker, Henry and Elise is unaffected, even Muffet with Norman, Ricky and Tim was unaffected

Tucker: Hey, wait! Why would he freeze time for Danny, Sophie and Dan, and not for us? [noticing Sam, Monty and is frozen] Hey, Sam? [waving a hand in front of her face] Hm. [Looking down at his medallion and holding it] I knew these medallions were good for something. It's like a Get Out of Time Free card! [he runs and grabs a pair of medallions from the wall]

Elise: Tucker, You're a genius!

Clockwork: [looming over Danny, Sophie and Dan with the scythe] Time's up, Ghost Boys and Ghost Girl

**Clockwork raises the scythe to swing**

Ghost Past and Ghost Present: **using their powers to stop the scythe**

**the scythe goes around circles and Elise's hand reaches out and takes it from his hands**

Tucker Sorry, no sudden death overtime in this game!

Elise: **throws the medallions to everyone**

**Then elise throws the medallions to Sam, Monty, Susan, Sophie, Dan and Danny's and they abruptly resumes his flight trajectory**

Danny: Huh? What happened?

SPACE ACE: Yoruichi’s Mobile Suits & History Part II

While the existence of the [Ext] Ex-S Gundam’s ALICE artificial intelligence system initially went undetected by Yoruichi during the course of the First Neon Zeon War—it overwhelmingly judged her decision-making abilities and reactions as both correct and logical, and rarely interfered—she would eventually come to perceive its presence through a variety of combat incidents during the conflict. Intrigued by the capabilities of the AI and the way it subtly augmented her combat performance, after the war ended in January of U.C. 0089, Yoruichi would spend the next couple of years delving into the darker secrets of the past decade to uncover the truth of many of the scientific horrors she’d faced on the battlefield.

In the course of her investigations, she would not only learn of the origins of the Cyber-Newtypes and the various Newtype Labs which had produced them (including Zeon’s Flanagan Institute and the Federation’s EXAM Institute, Augusta Newtype Lab, Oakland Newtype Lab, and Murasame Newtype Lab) but also of various technologies developed along the way such as: Augusta’s ORX-013 Gundam Mk-V with its Quasi-Psycommu System and INCOMs, which she had first seen on its successor, the AMX-014 Döven Wolf, during the First Neo Zeon War; the EXAM System created by the EXAM Institute, the HADES iteration developed by Augusta, and True Federal’s subsequent NEO EXAM System developments; and even the Reuse Psycho Device created by Zeon during the One Year War.

Seemingly lacking advanced Newtype abilities herself, Yoruichi knew she would likely gain little if any benefit from Psycommu or Bio-Sensor (and eventually Psycoframe) technologies. This was a problem as it became increasingly clear to her that advantages in mobile suit warfare were trending in that direction of development. Whoever held the advantage would probably determine the fate of humanity, and she was unwilling to simply stand aside in the face of whatever that outcome might be given the stakes. Utterly unwilling to submit to becoming a Cyber-Newtype given the evident drawbacks she’d witnessed through the First Neo Zeon War, let alone her subsequent detective work, Yoruichi instead decided to pursue alternative means of keeping up. She would still be collating all the information she’d uncovered when she was invited by Captain Bright Noa to join Londo Bell prior to its official founding on March 21, U.C. 0090. She agreed on certain conditions and was instated at the rank of Commander (chūsa).

With her newfound authority and data, Yoruichi returned to Anaheim Electronics in April of U.C. 0090 to renegotiate her relationship with them using the information she’d acquired. She also issued an ultimatum: cut her into even more of their latest technologies and work with her on competitor technology to counter Newtype battlefield superiority or she would air their dirty laundry not just to Londo Bell, but the entire Earth Sphere, making it very clear her threat was automatic: if anything happened to her or those close to her, the cat would be out of the bag no matter how thorough they might try to be.

Considering this a small price to pay to maintain her as an ally, Anaheim Electronics agreed to her terms, albeit with intentions of their own... They had already come into possession of several captured AMX-014 Döven Wolf units and were working on converting them into ARX-014 Silver Bullet units which were intended to test the Quasi-Psycommu System and INCOMs. Likewise, they were already negotiating a contract to work on converting the RX-80PR Pale Rider into the AMX-018 [HADES] Todesritter for Char Aznable’s Newborn Neo Zeon. Yoruichi’s provided information and continuing combat data both as an individual and from training ALICE would prove invaluable to both efforts, and others to follow...

Yoruichi was accordingly the recipient of the first production article of the MSZ-010A1 Theta Plus in January of U.C. 0091, with the ALICE AI from her [Ext] Ex-S Gundam being transferred into it. Finally in possession of firepower to surpass the MSZ-010 ZZ Gundam, Yoruichi would continue to sortie with the mobile suit for Londo Bell during the events leading up to, through, and beyond the Second Neo Zeon War in U.C. 0093.

With the disappearance and presumed death of Char Aznable and Amuro Ray during the Axis Shock event which concluded that conflict, Yoruichi’s relative prominence in Anaheim Electronics' eyes rose; she was their last “in-house” ace and in their view she depended on them as much as they now did on her. It would be to their mutual benefit to continue their relationship in such uncertain times...

Thus, in August of that year, they issued Yoruichi with the final development of the RX-93 ν Gundam, which had originally been intended for Amuro Ray himself: the FA-93-ν2HWS Hi-ν Gundam Heavy Weapons System Type. Stripped of its originally intended Psycoframe cockpit, it was retrofitted with a Quasi-Psycommu System and wired fin funnels developed from the ARX-014P Silver Bullet (Funnel Test Type) which had directly lead to the original RX-93 ν Gundam. This plus the integration with the ALICE AI which had accompanied Yoruichi for years would allow for the use of the funnels under AI-control in a fashion similar to that of the INCOMs of the AMX-018 [HADES] Todesritter, yet superior as Yoruichi’s ALICE lacked the issues of the HADES system. Her Hi-ν Gundam would continue to vastly outperform derivatives such as the RX-94 Mass Production Type ν Gundam and even the later RGM-96X Jesta in the years ahead.

With such a prize in Yoruichi’s possession, Anaheim Electronics tipped its own hand just as Yoruichi herself had demanded they do three years earlier by revealing to her the UC Project, the creation of the Newtype-Destroyer (NT-D) System, and the development of both the MSN-06S Sinanju Stein and RX-0 Unicorn Gundam. Privately horrified at the prospect of the arms race continuing without end, Yoruichi was all the more chagrinned to learn that the NT-D system required a Newtype to function. With all that conveyed, Anaheim Electronics gave a final revelation: a showcase of the almost completed MSN-001X Gundam Delta Kai and its n_i_t_r_o System, which could temporarily augment an Oldtype into a Cyber-Newtype, albeit with some ongoing teething issues...

Nonplussed at the possibilities apparently being dangled in front of her, Yoruichi proposed instead focusing on the synergy of systems like ALICE, the Quasi-Psycommu System, and miniaturization of existing technologies like I-field generators and Minovsky craft systems. She was not left with the impression Anaheim Electronics was particularly interested in her proposal and departed with the Hi-ν Gundam. She would continue to utilize it, with periodic upgrades by Kūkaku, through the leadup to the Third Neo Zeon War (“Laplace Incident”) in April, U.C. 0096, throughout it, and through the associated events.

Yoruichi’s earlier suggestions to Anaheim Electronics would prove prescient in the aftermath of the conflict as it was agreed by both the Earth Federation and Minerva Zabi’s faction in the Republic of Zeon that Psycoframe technology was too dangerous to continue to allow its development or proliferation. Her Hi-ν Gundam was—conveniently, due to all its alterations—exempt from this ban, as the Quasi-Psycommu System was considered primitive by comparison, like comparing a transistor with a microprocessor. Indeed, Londo Bell (along with ECOAS) and Yoruichi herself with the Hi-ν Gundam would be instrumental in enforcing this agreement through to Zeon rejoining the Earth Federation in U.C. 0100...

Barton Lucas: well-off Cadet, Ensign, and Captain

Barton Lucas, a captain of the Third Company of the First Maryland Regiment, was born, according to some sources, in 1730, in Prince George's County. His father was Thomas Lucas and mother Anne Keene. Barton had four siblings named Basil, Margaret, Thomas, and Sarah. [1]

Lucas served in the Seven Years' War (1754-1763) which had Britain, France and indigenous people as combatants, resulting in transfer of northern parts of America and Canada from France to Britain. [2] In 1758, he signed on as a cadet, a military officer in waiting, in Joshua Bell's Company and he soon was a ensign in Captain Alexander Beall's Maryland Company, for which he received modest pay. [3] Maryland troops fought at the battle of Fort Duquesne in September of that year, joined by South Carolinian troops, to fend off indigenous attacks, but the English were defeated and Marylanders covered their retreat. [4] During these military engagements, Lucas was injured. [5]

In 1762, Lucas married Priscilla Sprigg, whose last name changed to Lucas after their marriage. His "beloved wife" Priscilla, "Prisey," was born in 1735 to Osborn Sprigg, a Maryland legislator, and Rachel Belt, and was one of five siblings. [6] In 1756, Lucas's father died, willing 112 acres and his plantation to Lucas. [7] In the 1750s and 1760s, Barton bought and sold enslaved blacks for his plantation. [8]

During the Revolutionary War, Lucas, a prominent community figure and combat veteran, served in the military. He was recommended as a field officer to a Battalion "on the upper part of the Patuxent" in 1775, however, he likely never served in this capacity since he was chosen in January of the next year as a Captain of the Third Company of Col. William Smallwood's Maryland Battalion. [9] In the summer of 1776, this Maryland regiment marched to New York and was put under the command of Gen. George Washington.

At the Battle of Brooklyn, the First Maryland Regiment, especially companies led by Lucas, Daniel Bowie, Peter Adams, Benjamin Ford, and Edward Veazey, later called the Maryland 400, held off the British while the rest of the Continental Army escaped Long Island to safety. While Lucas's company played a key role in the Battle of Brooklyn, on August 27, 1776 with sixty percent of his company killed, Lucas was ill and could not participate in the battle itself. [10] John Hughes, a private in his company, said years later that "Capt. Barton Lucas became deranged in consequence of losing his company." Still listed as ill, after the battle, Lucas was returned home and later resigned on October 11, 1776. However, Lucas rejoined the military as a colonel in the Prince George's County Militia from 1777-1778. [11]

After his military service, Lucas settled down to his plantation in Prince George's County. Existing records show that enslaved blacks, plantation tools, and farm animals were part of his overall property. [12] At his death, sometime between April 8, 1784 and May 16, 1785, in Prince George's County, he was still called a colonel and much of his property value consisted of enslaved blacks. [13]

Mystery March 2021 day 21: One of Us

“One of us, one of us.” For the past hour or so, Arthur had his headphones on tight, keeping his eyes glued on his assignments and scribbling away at the answers frantically. Anyone who didn’t know him would assume he’s cramming for finals, or for a deadline that suddenly jumped to that night.

No. That was far from the case. Arthur was rushing before his line of concentration broke at the chorus of voices behind him.

”One of us! One of us! Arthur~ it’s time to lay down! It’s nap time.”

“Pap will you please just shut up?”

The half formed equations that he barely got a hold of disintegrated like ash. Ignoring the heaviness of his eyes, he unhooks his headphones and looks back.

On Lewis’s bed, the giant man was sprawled out with several plushies and sisters tucked in his arms and laying across them. His eyes were shut and breathing slow, along with Belles, who was curled similar to a cat against the wall, only connected to Lewis by his large fingers still half tangled in her hair. The one chanting one of us was Paprika in her poka-dotted onesie and with her stuffed rabbit in her arms. She was bouncing on Lewis’s knee, like she was ready to hop on Lewis’s stomach whenever, but more focused on an argument with Cayenne.

Cayenne, who’s swatting at Paprika, was half- nestled against Lewis’s chest. Tucked in a blanket and content to simply nap next to her brother.

Paprika gasps when she turns away from Cayenne and her meanness back to him.

“You’re ready?” She beams at him, and Arthur can only manage a slow blink before shaking his head.

“Not yet, Papi. I gotta finish this assignment.”

She slumps and sinks against Lewis’s leg. “How much is left?” She asks, eyes wide in a puppy dog stare. Arthur swallows and looks away, not wanting to be compelled by her again. Nope! No way. He’s got work to do and no amount of begging will stop him.

“Just a bit more, then I’ll join you-“

Little feet- more like a small body- hit the floor with a thud.

Arthur flinches, spins around, and finds that Paprika was no longer on top of Lewis. In fact- Lewis’s eyes were open and he was leaning up, scanning the room hurriedly. Shit she woke him up?

Little hands touch his knee, and Arthur snaps down to see the girl’s puppy dog eyes boring into his. “Can’t you join now?” She asks, pouting.

Fuck. Fuck. God dammit. God dammit why do I have to like you kids? I would punt you into the sun if you weren’t so precious to me-

Cayenne moans in disappointment, snapping Arthur out of his thoughts and letting him see the large form hunching down to scoop Paprika up. Lewis cradles her against his chest, rubbing his eye.

“Sorry about that, A-“ he covers his mouth, yawning, “Arthur. I didn’t realize I fell asleep. Do you want to move to the computer room? I’m sure papa won’t mind as long as you don’t touch the computer.”

Arthur stares back up at him, before glancing as his assignment.

Five more problems, with six sub sections for each.... not due for another two days....

Since when did his eyes get so tired?

Pushing aside the building regret made up of bullshit rationale, Arthur closes the book and stands up, cracking his back before shutting off the small lamp on Lewis’s desk.

“Nah, it’s fine. Better make room on the bed though.”

Paprika beams at him, and is returned with a ruffle of her hair.

Maimuna reported that one morning Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was silent with grief. Maimuna said:

Allah's Messenger, I find a change in your mood today. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Gabriel had promised me that he would meet me tonight, but he did not meet me. By Allah, he never broke his promises, and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) spent the day in this sad (mood). Then it occurred to him that there had been a puppy under their cot. He commanded and it was turned out. He then took some water in his hand and sprinkled it at that place. When it was evening Gabriel met him and he said to him: you promised me that you would meet me the previous night. He said: Yes, but we do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture. Then on that very morning he commanded the killing of the dogs until he announced that the dog kept for the orchards should also be killed, but he spared the dog meant for the protection of extensive fields (or big gardens).

Here’s a little secret: non-Muslims, especially from western countries, assume that because Islam is so structured and so difficult to approach compared to Xianity in particular, that Muslims know more about their religion and their scripture in comparison.

They don’t. Many may know even less, aside from the “nice” ayahs and hadiths posted as pretty memes. Xians have bible study groups and discuss the meaning and interpretation of various verses. The quran is recited in Arabic, yet there are only ~280m Arabic speakers worldwide, which is only around 14% of the 1.9b Muslims. The quran isn’t learned for understanding, it’s memorized for recitation. Children are beaten for not regurgitating it accurately, rather than because they didn’t learn the substance and lessons of the scripture; many of them never know the meaning of the words they’re moaning out.

"We are the Borg. Your biological and technological distinctiveness will be added to our own. Resistance is futile."

If a Muslim tells you something about Islam that doesn’t sound right, chances are decent that it’s not; you’re no more likely to be wrong than they are. You don’t need to assume they’re lying, although that’s not out of the question. It’s sufficient to assume they don’t know what they’re talking about.

Regardless, Islam’s distaste for the purity of puppies is reason enough to reject Islam.
