her eyes would definitely widen in shock as she wasn't expecting this at all, especially from you 

before she could respond, you tell her how she's the most beautiful and gorgeous woman you've ever laid your eyes upon 

i feel like she'd giggle and squeal and give you a ton of thank yous 

you'd leave her in a hot blush as she happily accepts your confession and tells her how she feels too

he was just about to put a spoonful of food in his mouth when he halted at those sudden words

then suddenly he just pressed his lips on yours as he locked his hands with yours, leaving you in shock

"is that so?" she muttered under her breath but you could hear it as clear as day 

before you knew it, she placed a kiss on your lips before letting go and whispering into your ear "i wanna be yours too, darling," 

the butterflies in your stomach suddenly disappeared as you knew you had the real butterfly to yourself now

the both of you were walking when you felt that it was the perfect moment to express your feelings for him 

he looked at you for a split second before turning back, his expression still constant

"y/n, i don't know how to feel about this," 

just like muichiro, he was inexperienced at feeling emotions, let alone love

you assured him that it was alright if he didn't return the feelings, but you just wanted to let him know that you appreciated him more than anyone else did 

those words managed to slither to the depths of his heart as he locked eye contact with you 

he slowly held your hand as he placed a clothed kiss on it 

you returned the touch by caressing the scars through his mask with your fingers, telling him how gorgeous he was 

"thank you y/n. i-" his breath hitched halfway. "i like you too," 

that was all you needed to hear as the both of you spent the rest of the night together

genya regularly receives check-ups at the Butterfly Mansion, thus you tend to bump into him a ton!

this is where things start to take a turn. . . he stops getting so angry and quick to shut you down. . . and instead, he starts watching you train a little more, keeping idle tabs on your schedule, daydreaming of you when he should be focusing on training. . .

then it hits him:

he's got a crush ?!

to this boy love literally feels lethal.

he can't function. at all. he's unable to stand or talk to you for more than a few seconds without becoming flustered and wracked with nerves.

so loving you from afar is the simplest-easiest option.

he stares a ton, and tries hard not to get caught.

daydreams when he shouldn't- and at the worst times- you can only get punched in the face while training so many times before you start to wonder if having a crush is really worth it.

i'm pretty sure anyone could see the reason this quick-tempered boy suddenly turns shy when he's around you.

and he hates admitting it. (what is he supposed to do? he's never been in love before?)

there are times when he's 100% undoubtably sure that you're busy- or far, far away from the scene of the crime. . . he'll sneak into your room (after double checking that the coast is clear, again) he'll leave a few wildflowers next to your nightstand.

just the thought that he's showing romantic affection towards you has his heart palpitating. . . even if it is, technically indirect.

has him paranoid as hell, like somehow even after all his precautions, you'll just know it was him. if you suspect him, or bring it up, he'll vehemently deny everything.

(whenever he leaves flower btw, it'll be up to a week before he works up the courage to bring another bunch, and in between he tries to garner the courage to talk to you. . . without success)

he'd actually get pretty comfortable with this scenario, and eventually saves up enough to produce a small vase to hold all the flowers.

and it feels like the biggest step yet!

its a painfully simple pot, and he feels he could do better, but he's tied a woven red string around the neck to help. . . at least a little.

you know. . . in the future he could tie notes to it. the thought has his ears burning red hot, and he flees the scene just as quickly.

honestly, it doesn't fully occur to him that he is a secret admirer at first.

he just one day happens to notice you because you caught his eye. nothing in particular, there was just something. . . bright about your presence.

your eyes? your smile? who could really say. all he knows is that your very interesting to look at when you're around.

even your voice catches his attention, like the sound of bells to his ears. its calming and also so alluring? how are you able to charm him like this?

the couple times you caught him staring he looked away quickly, then he starts wondering why he's afraid of being caught?

that's when the idea of an idea starts to form in his head.

a crush!

honestly, i think he'd smile to himself at the thought. its all very confusing and all very new and exciting!

he'd stare a ton and try to be subtle. . . but then fail at that too. (at this point he's just standing beside a tree rather than behind it?)

muichiro gifts you things that remind him of you: things that are eye-catching and interesting to him.

. . . something that holds his attention as much as you do. . .

mostly things he's found, like the shiniest shells or rocks, broken ornaments or porcelain he's found. the best would probably be a tiny pearl he. . . acquired.

instructs his crow to deliver them to you, which in turn means you get hit in the head with said object- you don't need a more obvious clue to know that his crow hates. your. guts. (don't worry she's just a little jealous)

at first, he completely forgets that he's sent anything to you at all.

until he see's you holding them and it all connects.

silently hopes you to make the connection too. and i don't think he'd mind being caught at all. (its kind of like a fun game he's playing, that subsequently causes the faintest blush to appear across the bridge of his nose)

thinks about you maybe a bit too much, and starts to get excited at the prospect of being in love or a relationship! what would it be like to hold your hand, or even have all of your attention for once? (now he's just smiling up at the clouds like an adorable idiot)

if he writes anything (a note?) its just doodles and drawings he's done that he then hands over to his crow to deliver.

actually very fond of leaving you snacks too. . . or straight up offering to share while (innocently) asking you what ❛all those things in your hands❜ are.

Calling the Hashira

- If she calls you and you don’t answer she’ll keep on calling and calling until you answer to mess with you. The only exception is if you’re sick or not doing well.

- She prefers to call someone then to text them it’s more easier for her.

☁️Muichiro Tokito☁️

- If someone calls him and he doesn’t want to talk to them, he’ll just stare at the phone and not answer. He forgets to call them back-

- When he does answer the phone he often times talks quietly so sometimes you’ll have put him on speaker or tell him to speak louder.

🍡Mitsuri Kanroji🍡

- She will talk for hours and hours on the phone. She calls you and the Hashira daily to make sure that everyone is doing well.

- She sometimes gets so excited while talking on the phone that she drops it and the person on the other line is like “Wtf??-”

🌪️Sanemi Shinazugawa🌪️

- He almost always has his phone on Do Not Disturb so if you want to call him you’ll have to call him twice in order for his phone to ring.

- One time you decide to prank him and call him a bunch of times during midnight and he blocked your ass.

🌊Giyuu Tomioka🌊

- He likes to have late night talks with you. Talking about both of you guys day and just about random things that pop in your head at midnight.

- When he receives a call from Shinobu he’ll answer it right away so he doesn’t miss it because he doesn’t want to receive a million texts from her.

🐍Obanai Iguro🐍

- Only calls someone if it’s necessary or if that someone is important to him and he’s worried.

- Sometimes his snake, Karburamaru, likes to mess with him and poke his face really hard to mess up his speech.

🔥Kyojuro Rengoku🔥

- You definitely don’t need to put your phone on speaker when you’re talking to him. Unless you want your eardrums blown off.

- He’s a big fan of talking to people over the phone and checking to see how they’re doing if he can’t see them in person.

Tengen Uzui: early 2010s pop — think Cobra Starship, 3OH!3, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, etc. He goes feral for anything off Kesha’s Animal album. 1000/10 hogs the aux at any party.

Obanai Iguro: anything you could find featured on a Warped Tour set list. Also loves pop punk and Reputation-era Taylor Swift, but will be caught dead before admitting it.

Mitsuri Kanroji: Arianna Grande (especially her 2013 era). A huge lover of K-pop and girl groups.

Sanemi Shinazugawa: Doja Cat.

Kyojuro Rengoku: he’s such a sweet, good boy. He loves Disney music and show tunes.

Muichiro Tokito: he doesn’t really care much for lyrical music, but he does enjoy lo-fi and vaporwave YouTube channels. Tengen let him pick the music for a party ONCE and Muichiro played “lo-fi anime beats to chill and relax to.”

Shinobu Kocho: Viking death metal, but she only ever listens on her headphones. She never plays her music out loud.

Giyomei Himejima: mid-2010s indie. Think the Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, etc. he finds it calming.

Giyuu Tomioka: 90s/early 2000s divorced-dad rock. Unironically thinks Higher by Creed is a good song. If he ever gets his hand on the aux, the whole group collectively groans.

Thinking about how Uzui had to watch everyone he cared about die before him. First 3 of his siblings die during there fathers harsh shinobi training, then six he killed himself during a deathmatch where all of them were masked. Then Kyojuro died next, and the rest of the hashira except Sanemi and Giyuu during a battle he couldn't participate and help them in. Then of course Sanemi and Giyuu do die on the same year and four years later Tanjiro, someone he grew closer with also succumbs to death way too young.

Thats why Tengen's line of "Just how many lives do you think ive let slip through my fingers?" hits so hard because his life is just death. Everyone he loves is bound to die and he cant do anything about it.

So I made a little list of hcs on how he copes;

What uzui does at each of his friends graves;

Rengoku; He often has a picnic beside his grave, bringing along his wives and having a feast with all of kyojuros favorite foods, like sweet potatoes and bento boxes. He is the hashiras grave he visits the most and often talks to it and updates him on how life is going.

Shinobu: He brings the flashiest flowers he finds and brings them to her every year because it reminds him of both her and Kanae.

Muichiro: It is hard for him to visits his grave, especially when he sees it adorned with a picture of him and his twin brother when he was younger. But he makes sure to see it every year, and gives him a little gift, like a folded paper crane since he knew he like origami. He feels guilty that he didn't fight in the battle when muichiro, the youngest pillar, did.

Mitsuri: Like everyone else still alive, they visits her grave annually on her birthday and bring mochis to celebrate because it was her favorite food. However when everyone else dies, he makes sure to keep up the tradition with Nezuko.

Iguro Obanai: When he visits his grave he always teases him about how he's doing with Mitsuri in the afterlife. After that he sits down and talks about his snake Kaburamaru and updates him about his daily life.

Gyomei: He prays at his grave. Not that he particularly agrees with it or is religious, he just knows that Gyomei would appreciate it.

Sanemi: He visits both of the Shinazugawa brothers on the same day, since they are both buried next to each other. He tells him that he misses him because he knows Sanemi will be pissed by the sappiness and also because in truth, he does.

Giyuu: He usually sits down and talks for hours to him about how everyone is doing, whats going on and other mindless useless things. he knows that Giyuu doesn't like to talk so just like when he was alive, he can just sit and listen and enjoy the company.

Tanjiro: He always bows to Tanjiro's grave and thanks him, for saving his wives and being a friend for all those years. he tells him about Nezuko and Kanao and tells them that they all miss him very much.

Makio, Suma, Hinatsuru: When they all die before he does, he curses the gods for keeping him alive. He makes sure to have there graves next to his estate and sits next to there graves for hours until sundown. Sometime he even sleeps next to them.

I am not sure his wives dying before him is canon but Ive heard it from multiple people so I will assume so. Either way, Uzui's life is too tragic and I just cant get over it. He can never protect the people he loves the most. That man deserves a break from all the death and hug from all of his wives (+rengoku.) But it seems like Gotouge had different plans.

he teared up a little at the thought, but quickly rubbed it away with the hems of his haori as he didn't want you to portray him as someone weak.

unfortunately for him, you had noticed him reminiscing in his own sad thoughts all this while

you wiped away your own tears of joy and headed to him, burying his head in your arms as you comforted him with headpats

Kyojuro Rengoku

Is super duper warm; let's just say you don't need to light another fire in your life to keep comfortable

You'd definitely want to keep your distance during summer however

He's very clingy and makes sure to at least have some part of him touching you

Loves being the big spoon but occasionally enjoys being the small spoon

Man definitely snores and has no idea until you bring it up

Occasionally, will mumble and cry in his sleep; but has no recollection of why when he wakes

Usually falls asleep on his right side, and refuses to budge from this position till morning

Is early to turn in (usually 10pm)

He falls asleep pretty quickly

Not a light sleeper but not a deep sleeper either, he's in the middle

Tengen Uzui

He's a comfortable source of warmth, not too hot not too cold

Despite being so muscular, he's actually quite comfortable to sleep on; although you gotta be quick to dibs a spot ( you have his wives to contend with <3 )

Will absolutely kiss everyone goodnight before laying down for the night

If you do get the privilege to be right by his side, he will 100% lay you right on top of him and slowly and gently play with your hair

He's a very quiet sleeper, he doesn't snore or toss in his sleep at all

Has a tendency to fall asleep on his back

One of the latest to go to bed, he's very much a night owl; despite how upbeat and chaotic he can be during the day he also finds tranquillity in the quiet of the dead of night and likes to collect his thoughts and reflect

He takes a decent amount of time to sleep; half an hour or so, he doesn't try and fight his exhaustion

However, because he's an extremely light sleeper he doesn't get much rest; regardless he'll lay in bed and just take in the comfort of the warmth that the blankets and his partners provide

Obanai Iguro

He's quite cold to the touch, so don't expect him to provide you with warmth

This is one of the rare times where he'll let down his guard and allow you to get close to him, he'll usually face you and hold your hand before falling asleep

He's a quiet sleeper and will occasionally will jolt himself awake; he has a lot of falling dreams and a few unpleasant past related nightmares here and there

He refuses to go to you for help however, he wants to tackle it on his own and tough it out; although he'll always check on you to make sure he didn't disturb you before going for a short walk outside to collect himself

Tends to fall asleep on his left side

Goes to bed kinda late, usually around 11pm; but stays up for an hour in bed reading or something before he attempts to sleep

He struggles to fall asleep or at least stay asleep; he tends to get stuck in his head a lot, strokes your hand gently when this happens to ground himself in a way

Sanemi Shinazugawa

He's not particularly warm or cold; just as normal as can be

He adamant on spooning you, really likes it when you compliment him by making comments on his bod (although he won't say it aloud)

Is probably the loudest hashira in terms of sleeping, he's definitely a snorer but he also suffers from regular night terrors and will wake up shouting or screaming (volume dependent)

At times like this he doesn't bother concealing his feelings and wakes you up; he needs you to reassure him and calm him down, he's usually stubborn and wouldn't bother but they're just that bad

He'll fall asleep in your arms, focussing on your scent and warmth

Isn't particularly a deep sleeper or light sleeper

Giyu Tomioka

His warmth is faint but still pleasant, he'll get flustered if you ask to get closer; although he'll still oblige albeit with a small blush and his eyes averted from you

He's usually quiet but occasionally with mumble in his sleep, good luck trying to decipher what exactly

Tends to fall asleep on his back but tosses in his sleep unknowingly

Goes to bed kinda early, around 10pm and tries to sleep asap so he can begin the next day and get to work; he enjoys having this quiet and time to himself

Takes a little while to actually fall asleep, about an hour or so; he's an overthinker (imagining himself in scenarios that could happen and how he'd react and replaying them ect)

Muichiro Tokito

His warmth is faint but comfortable, he likes it when you spoon him with his head on your chest; your heartbeat is very calming

He's usually quiet but occasionally with mumble in his sleep, you can usually make out a couple of words but out of context they make no sense;

Tends to fall asleep on his stomach, with his face squished into his pillow

Goes to bed very early, around 9pm and goes straight to bed to cuddle up with you in bed amongst the blankets

He's out in 10 minutes or less, he's very tired of life tbh and sleep is the perfect way to temporarily escape

Gyomei Himejima

Due to his size he'll lay you on his chest and caress you gently, kinda like a cat

He's completely silent when he's sleeping to the point where you wonder if he's even still breathing

Tends to fall asleep on his back

Goes to bed early, around 10pm and meditates to clear his mind and whisper a prayer

After he's meditated he's usually in a daze of sorts and will fall into a light sleep rather quickly before gradually falling into a deep slumber

Shinobu Kocho 

She's not particularly warm or cold; much like Sanemi she's quite average

Adores it when you draw little shapes into her skin with your fingertips

She smiles sweetly in her sleep or with cry a little, usually from a long gone memory

Tends to fall asleep on her right side

Goes to bed early, around 10:30pm and spends half an hour or so making sure she's up to date with paperwork and that her patients are all accounted and treated

She falls asleep in a decent amount of time, thinking back to happy memories of her family or her interactions for the day

Mitsuri Kanroji

She's comfortably warm and soft, and encourages you to use her as a personal pillow <3

Adores it when you play with her hair or vice versa right before laying down

She mumbles and occasionally giggles in her sleep, usually the effect of a pleasant dream

Tends to fall asleep on her stomach, she finds the feeling of her chest and body weight squishing against the ground comforting

Goes to bed kinda early, around 10:30pm and lays staring at the ceiling reflecting on her day and hyping herself up for the next

She falls asleep really quickly, her head is filled with nothing but positive and cute things so she's naturally very relaxed and out in 10 minutes

Well guys, I'm kind of bored so here is my headcanon from my KNY AU

Muichiro sees the members of the corporation as his family. He see them this way:

1. Giyuu: To him, it's his brother.

It reminds him a lot of Yuichiro, on many occasions instead of saying 'Yuu - Nii San', he says 'Yui - Nii San'.

Giyuu doesn't mind, only worries when Muichiro realizes his mistake and starts crying.

2. Shinobu: It's like his mother.

In all the time that he has known her, she has always treated and educated him with the same patience as a mother.

He likes her smile

3. Rengok: It's like his older brother.

He always treats him with affection and respects him.

He feels happy because Rengoku cares for him.

4. Mitsuri: It's like the aunt who always spoils and spoils the nephew.

He is always giving Muichiro candy on the sly and taking him for walks.

She also braids his hair sometimes

5. Sanemi: He sees him in 2 ways, as a pet and as a toxic boyfriend.

He doesn't like her very much because he's always around Giyuu and he doesn't like him.

Also, sometimes he feels that it hurts him because Giyuu walks a little crooked-

6. Uzui: He reminds the uncle that whenever he does something wrong, he buys it with money or candy.

Uzui usually makes fun of Muichiro's height and picks him up and throws him into the air.

It has taught him to say some profanities

7. Iguro: He sometimes treats him kindly when he is with Mitsuri.

It reminds him of that guy who disappears and appears when it suits him.

He likes that he take care and make Mitsuri happy

8. Gyomei: He is like his father.

He always listens to his advice and has a lot of appreciation and respect for him.

He likes to be on his estate because he almost always finds Genya and they are together

9. Kagaya and Amane: They are him grandparents.

He loves being with them and always feels very happy with them.

He always worries about the well-being of both of them and gets sad after he visits them because he sees how the curse/disease affects Kagaya more and more.

He also loves Amane, he always helps her and sometimes he spends time with his children and plays with them.

He loves them as if they were his cousins

•he is actually impressed by how you do your hair is ego is to big to ask "can you teach me how you do your hair "

•he finds you very very unique like the most special person

•she would so many questions about your culture

•she wants to cook food from your culture

•she is inlove with how your hair looks

•she already get weird or amused looks so you both get looks

•she will shampoo your hair and fell in love with the texture and yes she always do your hair after she knows how to do it

•he will stare sometimes into your souls and you will see the tiniest blush (he is memorising your features)

•when you change your hair he will turn into a tomato and stutter and be like " i-i like y-your hair today" and look away

•if you get weird stares he will look at the person face with that face of is "😶"

•he always wanna learn more about your culture

•HE IS IN LOVE WITH YOUR HAIR would play with it for hours

•i feel like he would stare into your soul and admire your features while having a bit of blush and a sweet small smile

•nah but if someone says something negative or racist he will say the most brutal insult you have ever heard while he says it like it's nothing and with a straight face..

•if you change your hair he will be like 🧐 "Who are you again?" Just jk🤭

•it took her a long while to warm up to you

Tomiaka and the hashiras hc, part 2 Tokito Muichiro !

The Child(ren) is(are) his and no one can do anything about it.

Yes, he has an adoption problem. But at this point I think it's a requirement to be a water pillar-

Anyway

Tomioka was like a normal cat when he first saw Tokito, didn't wanted to do anything with the child.

That was until they had a mission together, and Tokito accidentally got hurt.

Obliviously, Tomioka is going to think it was his fault and yada yada... So in the end, he started to take care of him.

Healed his wounds, took his food to him, make sure he was fine...

Tokito was still able to walk, and so, wanted to go to walk around at one moment.

But he forgotten to tell Tomioka.

So the (cat)man goes to their room and... Don't find Tokito in it. And start to Panic.

It made him actually go talk to people, asking if they saw (his kid) the teen, running around in the village calling his name looking searching him everywhere.

The boy was chilling (and forgetting things-) until he heard someone call his name, so he goes there. (Just like a kitten being called by their mama cat-)

Upon seeing his (child) coworker, Tomioka runs to him, taking him in his arms and walks back to the inn holding Tokito like a baby while scolding him about this. (like a stressed mother-)

The teen didn't give a singular duck about that and let the man do it. And yes, his tongue was out and it was adorable.

And this now how they are with eachother.

Everyone call Tokito Tomioka's kitten and Tomioka Tokito's mama cat.

And yes, Tokito is also cat coded, just like Tomioka.
