It was good while it lasted. My little sidekick 24/7. That's it. His first day at nursery done!! All that build up and he went in with no problems today. Checked that his friend was there and went straight in. Didn't look back and I had to ask him for a kiss!! This was him after his first day. ZONKED!! He fell asleep for the first time in his life in a chair, in a restaurant at 8.30pm!! He has never fallen asleep on his own like that. Literally nodded off with food in his hand. He has never had a strict routine. We decided not to put him in nursery age 2 as they don't go to school until age 7 here and are in school longer. So, we have enjoyed nearly 5 years of him fitting in with us. Enjoying our routine. Beach until 8pm, dinner put, work with mummy for a while. Al I have heard for nearly 5 years is how he should be In a routine...he should be in nursery....he should be in bed early etcetera... I gotta say...2 days...it took him 2 days to 'get into a routine'...our relaxed routine until now has made him adaptable quickly to change! I'm not saying this to gloat or boast....I am saying this because NOONE knows what's best for your family better than you! Different things and different Routines work for different people!
