First look at MANORQUEST, an rpgmaker visual novel.
In this locked-room mystery, you play the role of the mastermind's reluctant assistant.
All you have to do is read your lines and pretend you don't know why the front door won't open. And, if it's not too much trouble, lure one of the subjects into a romantic tryst or to an untimely demise.
The prologue is available for download on itchio now!
I will be updating my progress as a dev here along with more art, gameplay, and story. Please follow or message me if you have questions, comments, or want to get involved as a beta tester!
this summer, i ran a fangan game for my friends called
Menagerie of Misery.
it was an homage to the first fangan rp i ever joined, Summer Sorrows, and the first love interest my oc, Nyoko, had. it was super collaborative, super fun, and my friends promised me they really enjoyed it. i had a blast dming it (it was my second time dming a serious group rp). some more art for it will probably come out for shits and giggles, but other than that, here's the 4 CGs i did (things ran long and i got lazy in chapters 5&6, whoops) and the character emotes + portrait emotes for those who have passed (minus akio, who never got a portrait to be defamed).
one of our players is/has been making a massive recollection of the whole thing, which we will decide whether or not to make public as a group, mostly because it's a fun read but ALSO because we made a LOT of narrative threads that rang true for no discernable reason lmao
Will the October 2025 release be the demo or the full game? If it's not the demo, do you have an estimation of when the demo will release?
The full game will be released in October 2025, and the demo will be released before then. We haven't made a formal announcement for when the demo will be released exactly, but we are planning on launching it in early 2025. Either way, you can expect the demo to be out before the full game :)
Deegan: "No one likes her. That woman was a Cancer to this world and it's good she's gone, frankly. I know that makes me look bad when she just died to say something like that, but if you'd just ask around about her, that woman was... ugh."
"No one, nothing tipped me off. I just... knew. Daniel was never quite... uh, monogamy material. He used to date Lou and me, y'know, and would sometimes ask to add more people to our circle... I stopped wanting him to be part of it a while before it happened. Eventually Lou agreed to just date me. It took some time, but..."
The Ghost in the Machine from The Mysterious Package Company
This is, by far, the best murder mystery game we've ever played. It's 1896 in London England. Can you help out a friend and figure out what caused the deaths at the local cotton mill?
UPDATE: i got to the true ending! the sakevisual website (http://www.sakevisual.com/kansei/walkthrough.html) has some really helpful hints. it turns out i just had not selected one of the exploration options yet. when i did, i gained some information, and was able to reach the true ending.
...
so i just bought kansei: the second turn on switch and have been playing it for the past three hours. it is a very interesting murder mystery game and i am enjoying it, BUT i cannot figure out how to get the correct ending. i have already gotten the ending associated with only investigating the vault/SD card and the ending associated with only investigating the poison. i have also gotten an ending that involved my failure to investigate any of the options in the time provided. i saw online that @sakevisual said there is a third correct ending. does anyone know how to combine the vault/SD card investigation and the poison investigation to get the solution to the murder? thank you in advance!
