using bucky barnes's 'murder walk' to regain space
This is Sunn m'Cheaux and he's amazing, and also this is a perspective worth hearing.

I mean, the honest answer on the murder walk is that for the most part, none of these people are setting themselves on deliberate collision courses or taking up entire hallways, so it doesn't come up. when two people coming opposite ways are both walking like they have places to be and aren't going to be diverted, they nearly always subtly alter their trajectory to not crash and it *works* because you know the other person's trajectory because they are also walking with intent. I have always walked ''like a locomotive'' (to quote a friend) and the only people I crash into are people ambling down the middle of the path looking at their phones.
Okay first of all fuck you for destroying my dreams about this cool movie scene ☹️
Second I'm not giving up on my theory that someone somewhere must have meet that way. C'mon!

Listen up everyone, I know this gifset is born from a 2011 YouTube video and I've never even watched SnowWhite and the Huntsmen and yes I might have a big undying cursh on my tall goddess Charlize here but HOLY SHIT IT WORKS!
I was commuting home today and I was trying not to get swept away by the crowd, which is easy for someone who is allergic to heels - and who would need a stepladder to make out with Jeb without giving the poor man the witch's stroke, which I would gladly do 😬 - when, while endlessly scrolling I found this:
And told myself fuck it, let's try it.
It
Friggin
Works
I didn't even had to ask people to move when the train stopped at my station, they parted like the red sea. I felt like when sometimes I drive my dad's car - an old ugly thing but massive, and other cars let me switch line without honking once.

Installation view of Freedom Square: The Black Girlhood Altar at the Chicago Cultural Center
The exhibition at the Chicago Cultural Center opens with the installation “Homegoing.” The work is a suspended image depicting a screenshot from Ma’Khia Bryant’s personal TikTok. In the photo she’s laying her edges, her jet-black hair shining, her baby face clean and free of makeup. Below the printed photo is a collection of candles, stuffed animals, and a bouquet. On April 20, 2021, Ma’Khia was killed by an Ohio police officer in what was later determined a justifiable homicide. She was 16 years old.
In the gallery titled Rest and Recess: The Courtyard, the exhibition transports the viewer to the Caribbean where Black girls play together unburdened and hopeful. A tree, sculpted by Robert Narciso and made from branches from Rekia Boyd’s family home, sits in the center of the room casting a protective shadow over everything. From its branches hang yellow paper hearts scribed with the hopes and dreams of little Black girls. The sound of their joyful cacophony activates the space.

Maybe the real difference between SVSSS and the other MXTX books is that in MDZS and TGCF both members of the main couple are sometimes, occasionally, pretty cool
Binghe and Shen Qingqiu never stop being cringe fail long enough to look cool
Like even at Binghe’s most scary I just feel sorry for the guy
Like Bing Bong is just a sad little guy :( he's so sad and just wants head pats and light spanking to be happy. He's so inept at peopling when he needs to the most and that's so relatable but alas Bing-a-ling, I am also a loser
He doesn't even kill people on screen
Loser behaviour
And it's hard to take Shen Qingqiu seriously when you have access to his inner monologue which is just: "I'M GONNA DIE I'M NOT GAY I'M GONNA DIE Binghe’s eyes are pretty I'M GONNA DIE AND ITS AIRPLANE’S FAULT PEOPLE THINK IM GAY SOMEHOW I'M GONNA DIE Binghe is just so pretty I'M GONNA DIE!"
I love them so much

Ortus' murder from the point of view of Harrow the Ninth is like. So turns out Crux isn't just Harrow's seneschal, he's her nurse. He was her touchstone for reality for years, the person she turned to to ask "did that really happen?" or "is that real?". And he lied to her.
She didn't believe him, about Ortus. He didn't succeed at pulling that one over on her, but he tried. Which kind of makes you question how many times he might have tried it before, and how many times he wasn't caught.
