I find the King of Swords thing still interesting. I remember having had this tarot discussion before, but of course after KtD I’m now back on that topic. The card fits Dro, or perhaps he was written to fit the card, but...

I still think some aspects of the card fit Avon, but a really essential core aspect just doesn’t, and over here I am thinking that the card I associate with Avon most intimately (less in the ways he appears and more in the ways his interior life and his narrative works) is the Tower. (And Death, but the Tower is probably the more controversial one.) There is something intriguing about this interpretative contrast of, one the one hand, a card associated with unflappable calm and, on the other, a card that represents fundamental instability...

Okay, I’ve added Kerr Avon from Blake’s 7 and alternate universe David Lister (aka Spanners) from Red Dwarf to my muse list. I’ve finished Avon’s profile if you’d like to take a peek... I’m still working on fleshing out Avon’s Star Trek ‘verse and writing up Spanners’ profile because they’re both going to require a lot of headcanon.
