Anton leaned forward suddenly, catching Viago’s withdrawing wrist in an impassioned grip, then inhaled softly through his nose. “Dried flowers,” he murmured. “And dust. Lacquered wood.” He slowly pulled Viago’s hand towards him, a sudden pang of need overriding his better judgement. The vampire’s eyes were wide and glittered in the lamplight, luster restored and shining with equal parts bemusement and hunger. He brought the underside of Viago’s wrist just shy of his nose before letting his eyelids flutter shut, and he sniffed again. “And iron. You smell of iron.”

“I try to make it a really nice night for the people since it is their last night alive,” Viago explained into the camera after knocking on your front door. “So, I’m going to take this human out on a date, which was their idea, actually. Usually, I spend some time at the human’s house, maybe play them a song, and just give them a good time in the comfort of their own home before I kill them, but this one wanted to go out.” He gave a nervous smile to the lens as the knob to the front door turned. “I think it’s going to be a really fun night.”

“Viago!” you said happily when you opened the door, greeting him with a hug.

His eyes widened in surprise for a moment before returning the embrace. He couldn’t help but turn his head away from you to surreptitiously bare his teeth. You smelled so good that he wanted to eat you right then, but he was determined to be a gentleman and give you one last lovely night.

When you pulled away, he got to notice your appearance. You were all done up, beaming and undoubtedly proud of the effort that you put into your looks. Though your smile was bright and joyful, there was a little sense of nervousness in your eyes that he understood himself. He must have gotten a little too caught up in your beauty, because he didn’t notice your wide eyes and inquisitive frown until you were directly asking him about the cameras.

“It’s for a documentary,” he answered quickly, biting his lip.

You furrowed your brows before laughing amicably.

“A documentary!” you exclaimed, evidently quite amused. “How neat!"

To everyone’s surprise, you introduced yourself to each cameraperson, boom operator, and lighting technician, shaking hands with all of them. Viago couldn’t help the fondness in his eyes as he watched you with your vibrancy until you placed your arm in his and told him to lead the way to the late-night cafe you had both chosen for the night.

The evening air was cool and perfect for a stroll. You lived a little bit outside of Wellington, where the light pollution wasn’t quite as bad as inside of the city. You pointed out constellations and stars to him as you walked.

Admittedly, he was watching you more than the sky. Your enthusiasm was infectious. He quickly found that he wasn’t at all immune to the way you glowed.

“That’s Venus,” you explained, “but most people confuse it for a star. Oh, and Mars and Mercury!”

Likewise, you were entirely captivated by his idiosyncrasies. His accent was charming, and he was quite possibly the most darling person you had ever met. He told you about his roommates, scowling when he mentioned that Deacon hadn’t done his chores in years.

“No way,” you said. “Five years?”

“I know right?” Viago replied. “Deacon is a really cool dude, but kind of the too-cool-for-rules type.”

“How do you even have the patience for that?” you questioned. “Back in university, I had a flatmate who never did his own dishes. I couldn’t take it. I kicked him out after three months.”

“Yes, well. Deacon seems to enjoy testing my patience,” he admitted.

“Have you tried just getting paper plates?” you suggested.

He stopped and blinked at you, astonished with the revelation. “No, I guess we haven’t.”

“How about your other roommates? What are they like?” you ask.

“Vladislav is…” He hums, looking for the right word. “Intense, and old-fashioned. Petyr has been around longer than dirt.”

“They sound interesting. Maybe I’ll get to meet them one day,” you mused. His eyes widened. You rushed to backtrack. “Oh my– I’m sorry. Was that too much?”

That’s when you found that Viago had this way of giggling that had your nerves disappear and your heart absolutely melt. You could’ve gotten a toothache with how sweet the sight and sound of it was.

“No, you’re not too much,” he said.

By the time you reached your house, your feet hurt and your stamina was a bit drained, but you were beaming wide.

“I don’t want this night to end,” you confessed with a pout, hands still in his. He opened his mouth to speak, but you cut him off– he was deliriously tempting and you were entirely confident that you wouldn’t be able to reject him if he offered to come inside. “But it has to.”

“I want to see you again,” he admitted.

You stepped into his space, dangling your arms around his neck and running one elegant hand through his dark hair. You stayed there for a moment, appreciating his beauty, using the hand that wasn’t in his hair to run your thumb over his bottom lip. He tilted his head down, his mouth almost touching your neck.

Instead, you tugged at his hair to keep his mouth right where it had been and masked how much it killed you to reject him with a teasing grin. If his lips ended up on your neck, you would absolutely die and your will would be demolished.

“I’m off work Thursday night,” you told him. “Come by around seven?”

He did that thing again– that giddy, crinkled up nose smile. Feeling your patience with yourself run too thin, you kissed him on the cheek and bolted inside.

After Viago left, a camera crew requested an interview with you.

“How do I feel about Viago?” you asked, repeating their question back to them.

You shook your head and hid your blushing face in your hands before deciding that hiding it wasn’t enough. You reached for a pillow on your couch, smushed your face into it, and squealed like a little kid. The question was just too much to answer. Everything was too much– the way he made you feel, the excitement of seeing him Wednesday night, how badly you wished to kiss him, the self-pride you felt for being able to control yourself and respect your own boundaries. Everything.

Especially the way he said You’re not too much. He could’ve said that you wanting to meet his roommates wasn’t too much, but no– he said you weren’t too much. You were so used to people finding you to be too much that his little reassurance (which he probably didn’t even realize that he said) played over and over in your head.

“Why didn’t you invite him in?” the interviewer asked.

Your eyes peeked out from behind the pillow and sighed, ready to give a more thoughtful response.

“I have a pretty atrocious romantic history,” you admitted. “That’s why I need to take things slow and not rush headfirst into this. Viago is…” You shook your head and smiled, eyes looking down at the thread you were toying with poking out of the pillow. “He’s just wonderful. I don’t want to mess things up.”

“The human? Yeah, I’m definitely going to kill them,” he admitted to the camera lens. He smiled bashfully. “Tonight was nice, though. I think they had a good time.”

Info About The Writer

Hi! I’m Alistair— you can call me that, or you can use my username for pretty much everywhere else, TheetyPie/Theety. I don’t mind either way.

I’m a trans guy, I use he/they pronouns. I’m panromantic/asexual, and I’m 27 years old.

I have 3 cats, they’re my babies. I also (as you can tell from above) have a lot of OCs, and the number is still growing. I want to turn my ideas into a bigger creation someday, still not sure exactly where I want to go with it.

I do more than write. I do art, I like video games, music, and just collecting stuff. Current obsessions are Monster High, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, makeup, crystals, and jewelry.

Rules

The most important: I do not RP smut. In the past I’ve used the fade-to-black method, but I’m not entirely comfortable with that with most of my muses.

In the same vein, DO NOT FORCE SHIPS. I love ships as much as the next guy, but I would prefer to discuss it first, or for us to agree on it. It’s cool if your muse has a crush, totally fine— mine get crushes all the time! But make sure if you want to ship, we discuss it first.

In a similar vein to that one as well, no god-modding/powerplaying. If your character is strong, an immortal being, or whatever, cool! I have some of those too. But there should always be a limit. Don’t say your character is moving mine unless we’ve talked about that. Attempt to move them. Usually I follow along as long as boundaries aren’t pushed.

Don’t kill or seriously injure my muse without permission. Fights happen, of course, but again: discussion. I’m up for threads where my canon muses are injured or killed, but not where it happens to my OCs, unless we’re getting into a backstory and another OC that’s already deceased dies. Non-serious injuries are alright to come out of nowhere with, but if it’s a first meeting, I’d prefer to plot it out.

I’m semi-selective. I’m kind of particular about who I follow and who I thread with. I prefer us to be mutuals to thread, but you don’t have to be mutuals to send me things.

I’m very bad at keeping up with people. If you message me and I don’t respond, it’s usually bc I’m shy, I forgot, or I’m busy with work. It’s not you, I promise. Usually I don’t message first bc I’m nervous.

Back to shipping: I’m also multiship. Usually my ships are in different universes, unless discussed with all parties beforehand. The exception is a few of my OCs that are partnered together— ask about their availability. I love random ships, just talk to me about them!

I love duplicates of my muses. Whether it’s “x meets self” or I find someone I share a muse with, I love RPing with just about everyone. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if we have a muse in common!

One of my other most important statements, not really considered a rule, but it’s still important: if you want to know something about any muse, canon or OC, please tell me— ask or message me! I haven’t been able to write down a lot of info about any of them because I’m on mobile, but I will infodump for you if you need/want to know something. I love talking about my children, they’re precious to me.

If you send something in or make something for me when we haven’t even spoken, I might not feel comfortable responding. I’m very shy and nervous about not having any discussion beforehand. 😭

There are so many, honestly. I love all my writing partners so much. Every single person I write with inspires me.

YOU inspire me. I love how much you love Johanna, and all the thought you put into her that goes beyond the crumbs that we get in the musical/movie. You've given her a life of her own, and your writing is so beautiful.

I really really enjoy @therelentless we don't write a lot together, but I LOVE their writing so so so so much. Their portrayal of Nandor is so perfect and spot on, I can hear him in my head so easily with everything they write.

@viagothedandy I know I mentioned them in my last post, but they deserve to be gushed about again. They have NAILED every aspect of Viago, from his mannerisms to his words. They are an absolutely brilliant writer! (And the threads between them and therelentless are so much fun to read.)

@toonsupe OH MY GOSH! There aren't enough GOOD things to say about C. "Black Noir's number one fan" isn't just a tag, you can truly see how much love they have for him in everything they write. I get so excited when I see that they've written something new, whether its a headcanon or a thread response. Their writing is soooo good, and the development they've given him is absolutely superb.

And of course, my bestie. I can gush about @lettherebemonsters EVERY DAY! I love Spooky so so so much. The best thing that happened to me this year is us finding each other on here. The amount of love she has for her muses, and all the thought that goes into developing them (especially minor characters like Gunpowder) is awe-inspiring. She's so talented and creative and I just love reading her writing so much.

Imagine Vlad first trying to change Viago one one of those fold-down changing tables in the bathrooms, not realizing they aren't meant to hold someone of his size.

Oh MY GOD

"Can't we vait until we're home?" Viago ask, his voice lower than usual as the two vampire's stand in the public washroom.

The elder vampire shakes his head, "Let you do that last time and who was the one getting hissed at because supposedly it's my fault you got a rash?" Vlad hums, not even needing to look at the other vampire for an answer.

He did however look around the room. It was like any other public washroom. Tacky and buzzing fixtures, the rancid smell of humans barley covered by the chemical cleaners. Vlad grimaced when he went move his foot and it moved with a small squelch.

It wasn't the cleanest but, it was the only one they could be invited into before a certain dandy was leaking out his slacks. The elder vampire's eyes moved around the room, finally laying on the wall.

"Ah, there, that thing," Vlad points to as the pair walk over to the hunk of plastic sticking out from the wall.

Viago's brow raised, "What is is?"

"Something humans use to change their spawns," Vlad said, running his hands over the object until he was able to open and reveal the changing pad.

He patted the plastic, "Hop on."

"Do I really have to? It looks a little," Viago made a face as he swept a finger over the edge, revealing a small mound of collecting dirt.

"That or I change you in the park," Vlad shrugged, "your choice."

Viago huffed as he nodded, beginning to unbutton his slacks while Vlad pulled out the required items.

The vampire slowly lifted himself onto the table, it was cold even with his layers on and it made such an odd sound-

Crash

Next thing the two knew, Viago and the pad where flat on the ground.

"You actually laid on it??"

"What?? Did you want me to float over it?"

"I kind of assumed you would."

Viago rubbed his face, "Bloody hell."

Viago soon felt the firmilar touch of Vlad's hands holding his legs up.

"Don't give me that look, we're here now, you're technically still on a mat,might as well continue," Vlad mused, reaching over for the bag.

"We don't tell Deacon."

"Awe why not? He'd geta kick out of this."

Viago rolled his eyes, "That's exactly why."

How he got into this predicament , Viago doesn’t know .  One  second  he  is  flying  over  the  city  on  his  way  home  after  having  a  delicious  meal ,   and  the  next  he  is  waking  up  trapped  like  a ...  bat  ,  this  man  looking  at  him  like  he is some sort of  ... experiment !    

“  You  can’t  keep  me  in  here ! ”     Growled  as  he  shakes  entire  body  to  try  to  make  the  cage  rock  but  it  only  trembles  enough  to  make  Viago  dizzy  .  He  huffs ,  shooting  a  glare  at  his  captor .     “  I  am  a  normal  human  person ,  you  cannot  just  keep  me  in  here  like  some  animal ! ”
