Went on a hike in one of the most Enchanting forests I’ve ever had the privilege to wander. My inner child was all over this shit lol also, does that stump not look like a real Faery house? Kinda impressed that I wasn't taken by fae or local equivalent in childhood

One of my fave picture books as a highly impressionable child was this vintage (?) story about a girl who got a duckling when visiting relatives in the countryside and her cousin told her that if she stood in the middle of a mushroom ring and made a wish, the wish would come true. True enough, she wished she didn't need to leave her duckling and very soon his dad decided to move the family to the nearby village.

I spend large chunk of my childhood in the middle of the forest, and take a guess what we have there every now and then and what I did.
