the bill wurtz reference gave me a fucking heart attack btw/pos
just so you know
I'm glad people are catching it! :D I know most people know bill wurtz from the history of the world/history of japan videos, but I actually really love his music more than either. It just has a nostalgic vibe to it that it's hard to put into words, and sometimes there are little poignant moments that hit surprisingly hard. long long long journey is one of my favorites, but here are some others since I haven't done a post like this in a while.
i can play - the last few lines of this are so haunting for such a relatively upbeat sounding song. they still pop into my head every now and then.
i like - i like picturing gaster for the first bit of this lol
new canaan - the bit that goes "i'm going crazy and i'm feeling blue/cause i know where i'm going but not what to do/ and i always dream of you/every word i say is true" gets me each time, just makes me think of people i've lost
we could just get high - love this chorus and how it keeps echoing off for the ending
dance the night away - just short and silly
might quit - the free association lyrics in full display here
you're free to do whatever you want to - the bridge of this one is a bit poignant i think

Is anyone else obsessed with poetic compliments?
Like… not just calling someone pretty but…
“His hair was like snow and his skin like frost. He looked like a creature made of porcelain moonlight with eyes like glistening stars. Words could not describe how ethereal he looked when basking in the moon’s gentle glow,” she spoke softly.
“And I remember him that way. A man made of stardust, a man who looked to be the very moon itself...”
“I find him in the moon because that was always what he was to me. The moon, soft and gentle. He was brighter than anyone else, as if he belonged in the heavens not on earth as a man, but in the sky as a celestial body.”
“He is the moon in the sense that his pure and beautiful…”
She swallowed thickly, voice soft and tender as she spoke again. “And he is the moon in the sense that he is far out of my reach,” she whispered, a single tear falling from her eye.
And not just saying you like someone’s strength or that you think they’re handsome but…
“You say that as if you don’t look like a fallen star.”
“What do you mean by that?”
She smiled softly, kissing the tip of his perfect nose as her hands moved down his neck then to his shoulders.
“Dark,” she whispered, kissing his jaw, “perfect,” she kissed his neck, “and pure,” she kissed his throat softly.
“It’s as if the sky fell onto earth,” she whispered, her lips ghosting along his throat as her hands skipped over his wounded chest and gently moved against his stomach.
“A man made of steel and rock, my own meteor,” she breathed against him, kissing his collarbone.
“My own piece of heaven.”
Cause shit like that just makes me 🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧 frreeal

It's kinda funny to me to see how many non-finnish ppl are getting into finnish music bc of käärijä when I as a finn have gone through most of my life being a pretentious idiot loudly proclaiming that I don't really like or listen to finnish music 💀
with few exceptions like dingo my beloved. pls someone listen to and appreciate kunnian kentät by dingo one of my fave finnish songs of all time. 😭 really I love every single song on this collection album of theirs. In the 80's dingo was kinda like finland's beatles, they were absolutely huge.
idk in this I am also my mother's daughter because we are both insane about käärijä & love dingo's music an insane amount

sm execs should be dragged out into the street and beat with sticks for wasting 7 years of winwin’s time like this bc what the fucccck. It wouldve cost nothing to add him to the performance bc he has no lines anyway OR just take it out of the setlist which they wont bc this is one of 127’s only good songs
