Topaz’s Backstory

Topaz once lived in a dungeon for his first years of life. On his 7th birthday a mysterious female dragon proposed to him, this dragon she promised to love him fully and to cherish him and to give him kids. His mother advised him not to accept her offer but since he hasn’t interacted with with dragons very often beside his mother he thought that this mysterious dragon truly did loved him. years later he wishes he listened to his mom after he was trapped in a one sided marriage. The mysterious dragon only wanted him to show him off To others, he was only a “prize” to her, she often used him to bet, she was very confident that she would win. One day she lost her bet but she didn’t try and fight to keep her husband and her rings. Topaz was simply a jewel she no longer fancied. Topaz was taken to a prison underground were he was chained. Once he manages to escape he vows to get revenge on the mysterious dragon And that she will regret the day she ever proposed to him. He has learned that people will steal from you and leave you with nothing and that any ray of sunlight will be crushed.

Peka and Scion 🥺

Scion (ice/sky hybrid) was raised by their grandfather in Possibility, where they learned how to carve and build stuff! (Icewing claws r great for carving 😎)

Peka grew up in the Scorpion Den with his family. When he was 3 (dragon years), he was caught in a dragonflame cactus explosion, deafening him and fucking up his hind legs 😔. Him and his father moved to Possibility where they could get proper care for him.

Over the course of my time creating this stuff this week I keep thinking about how crazy it is that I draw them so fast compared to other things- but then I acknowledge that for like, 3 whole years of my life there was a period of time where I *only* drew dragons so I don’t think I should be surprised lets be real 💥

Phew, finally done with the dod headshots! I definitely had a lot of fun and I loved experimenting with a more cartoony style and brush textures!

I tried to keep their designs based closely to their names and personalities! I did make tsunami a little bigger size wise than clay but she’s definitely shorter and more muscled than him.

I tried to make glory and clay almost iridescent like clays underbelly is described in the books as copper like and I wanted to bring parallels between clay and glory bc I like the idea that they are kinda alike if u know what I mean? And I wanted to give Tsunami fins like a wave of water like what surfers surf on! Like those water tunnel pictures! And I loved giving sunny features like starflight bc she’s a hybrid. I feel like if she wasn’t so unassuming you’d immediately be able to tell she’s a hybrid heheh. And I like to think Tsunami hated when her siblings got hurt enough to take all their “training sessions” with kestrel nearly every time, and continuously challenged the guardian enough that when she did take them kestrel didn’t hold back whatsoever and was constantly nearly permanently injuring her and she required many, many scars over the years.

Well, I had a blast making these and I hope you guys like em! ^^

oh no, I’ve opened the floodgates. here’s my beloved icewing oc I’ve had for four(??) years?? scythe has morphed quite a bit over the years (including going from a he to a she)— she was a soldier in the war and is something eviller than friends with moore… girlfriends, even. i headcanon icewings tend to have darker colouration if their family line is involved in a lot of ocean fishing, like spiky penguins!

An old WoF OC I redesigned today. Dawnwalker is a young male NightWing who's a character in the fan story I am very slowly working on: JMSC. More under the cut.

JMSC will get an explanation at a later-ish date, but basically it's just a story where Jade Mountain Academy is a summer camp instead (hence the 'SC' and not 'A'). He's part of the Amber Winglet (will explain the name in a later post as well). Besides that, I honestly don't have much info for you about him ToT

He has the gift of prophecy/foresight! His ability is pretty average-level, nothing fancy here.

Ah, 2022. Year of the Wonk. Look how yellow he is. I kind of still like this design, but I think the new one is a good improvement. For starters, he actually looks like a sunrise now. So.
