Toyota APM 2020/2023. Some of the Accessible People Movers that were originally designed for the (delayed) 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games have been repurposed and transformed into cat buses for the Expo Aichi Memorial Park in the Japanese city of Nagakute. The cat buses have been designed to resemble the cat character from the 1988 Studio Ghibli animated film My Neighbour Tortoro. The APM is fully electric with a range of 100km and a top speed of 20km/h (12 mph). There were around 200 APMs made for the Olympics, it’s unclear how many have been turned into cats
Hey everyone, can you remember a red tabby cat came our garden in the spring 2021...he let my landlady adopted my apprentice... that was fluffy, a little bit pathetic face......
じゃあ あいつと同じころ
きじとら来たのも おぼえてるですか
クソナマイキな あのヤロウににた
シツレイなきじとら
And then, can you also remember that a brown tabby came at the same time? A rude brown tabby, looked like that damn Stray Tabby......
I really, really wish people who don't have the capacity to properly take care of animals would simply accept and acknowledge that about themselves. This isn't even a post of me trying to be mean or judge anyone, I'm sure most people go into getting an animal with good intentions, but intentions and actions are different. If you don't have the time and the space and the care an animal needs, the animal will suffer. The fleeting joy of having a kitten or puppy or anything else doesn't last forever and they aren't toys to be put down and forgotten once you've moved past the inital excitement. If you don't have the ability to properly care for an animal, just accept that and simply admire them from a distance.
So picture this. This morning i woke up to scream-meowing like one of them is injured so i run outside to find a large tuxedo tomcat just standing there in front of Lady. Nothing is wrong they're just looking at each other. I'm awake enough by now to remember that Lady, being an ex stray just loves to make fucked up noises when she's feeling alone. But I'm still freaked out so i chase the stranger away.
Then minutes later he's back and again he's just vibing with the others.
Then comes Chippie.
Chippie walks up to the Tomcat twice his size. They bump noses. He smells him a little. Then they walk off together. My cats have made a friend
