Meet Jael Lansbury! My mini centaur barbarian! 

Does she have lore yes! Am I going to say? Maybe if you ask. 

Anyways, her weapons are a Doom Teapot, that can grow in size and is used like a war hammer, but is also a teapot of endless water. Her shield is a giant spoon, (That I got so sling a party member yesterday with to safety) 

Her dream is to go to the sea and become a seahorse, and has a very large pearl collection, the ones she is wearing, allow her to breath underwater!

Saebhe is around 150-175 years old - she has lived close to two human lifetimes, and has seen much in during those years.

It is a feat to surprise her, but sharing a horrifying nightmare about the impending apocalypse set to befall Faerûn and lead to the butchery, maiming and enslavement of its denizens in 3 days' time, did just that.

So... this D&D session was eventful - last session we all had to roll mysterious Charisma saves before going to sleep (I got a big ol' 3), and, uh, this session my character woke up strapped to a table with the other character who failed the saves in a cage nearby.

Yeah.

My newest D&D character is a Leonin Necromancy Wizard. He's 6 foot 8 (that's a little over 2 metres for the 98 percent of the world that uses metric) and 130 pounds (under 59 kilos). He's too skinny, he has 6 Strength and 9 Dexterity. Just not the physical type and he looks sickly.

He was raised by vulture Aarakocras who were both clerics, grave domain and life domain. They worship the same deity, Qul Karion. He's adopted, and had a very loving home and he has a unique relationship to death in that he respects death as a part of life.

But he's just so bad at anything that isn't purely intellectual. But since he was raised by Vulture Aarakocras, he's got a fairly good constitution. Eating all that rotting meat may have stunted his growth but hey, at least he isn't getting poisoned too often anymore.

It's not like a "hoo hoo hoo, Ima kill cuz death is my god" deal it's like a practical undertaker's view of death "someone has to tend to the dead. And also, great circle of life" deal.

Like he's not a Necromancer cuz he's edgy, he's a Necromancer cuz it's the most normal thing in the world for someone who was raised by two clerics that had no affinity for religious studies but still wanted to learn to do miracles.

His name is Lejortés.

New D&D character, Cass! They’re for my Curse of Strahd campaign that we just started. They are a dusk elf, and my DM allowed us to reskin the dusk elves as native Mexicans. They left Barovia before Strahd killed all of the women/AFAB elves to study at a monastery. They have no idea what happened to their people yet, and their family is missing. I can’t wait to explore more of their backstory!

These first three are drinking songs. Daemon drinks. A lot. Only when they’re in town, though, and they have some time off from adventuring. They prefer rowdy and crowded pubs because it’s easier for them to fit in, even with their mask that doesn’t come off and their dark armor. What better place for a weirdo and scoundrel to hang out than amongst louder weirdos and scoundrels?

Take Me Back - Fiddler’s Green

The whole first verse reminds me of their relationship with Mephistopheles tbh. Daemon was really into it, at first, but they’ve become much less enthusiastic over time, and now have a lot of regrets. Although they also kinda feel the same way about their adventure on Chult.

All Eyes On You - Smash to Pieces

Daemon’s a mercenary by trade, and this song illustrates some of the pressure they’re under because of that.

Not For Everyone - Brothers Osborne

The vibes of this song fit them ridiculously well tbh. Most of the party doesn’t like them, and they’re totally fine with that. They don’t need to be liked by everyone. They have a daughter back home in Waterdeep who absolutely adores them, and that’s more than good enough. They just hope they can make it back to her.

Take Me Down - The Pretty Reckless

Vibes. Pure vibes. I love the marriage between southern gothic and punk rock. Fits Daemon’s chaotic neutral personality to a T, and they literally “Signed with the devil,” as stated in the song.

Bones - Imagine Dragons

Daemon actually was a cleric of Mephistopheles for a short time, and they were very stressed out about it. This song highlights their anxiety.
