Trick or Treat
Miguel x Curvy!Fem!Reader
TW/CW: None, other than Miguel being a bit thirsty (haha pun intended you'll see what I mean)
A/N: Thanks to @obi-mom-kenobi for the fic idea for spooky day™! (I'm sorry the plot got off track, though asdfghjkl)
Tumblr media
🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷
He should have figured something like this would have happened.
He should have figured that he would do this.
Goddamn Deadpool.
Of course he caused a ruckus in one of the other universes, just to hop to this one to avoid Miguel, taunting him the whole time.
And naturally, it had to be fucking Halloween of all nights in this universe.
Among the Michaels, Jasons, goblins, ghouls, and witches and werewolves there were superheroes.
Iron Man, Doctor Strange, and half a thousand Spider-Mans.
This universe didn't have things like superheroes, not for real. All of that was Hollywood magic for the silver screen; the colorful fevered dream of a comic book artists.
He spent four hours trudging through the crowds, shouldering past drunkards and women dressed in far too little to be classified as clothing...
He finally spotted a Deadpool. The costume was very accurate, right down to the texture of the suit and how many pouches were on his belt.
But he was wrong. It was just some... Guy. Dressed in a "screen-accurate" cosplay.
But it was around the fifth hour (and twelve, terrified innocent Deadpool cosplayers later) that he got so frustrated he actually decided to take a break.
"Puta madre it's like Mardis Gras..." He hissed out, pinching the bridge of his nose.
He'd long abandoned wearing his mask, wanting complete unobstructed range of his sense of smell and hearing. Neither of which have been particularly helpful with the smell of vomit, liquor, perfume and sweets littering the air.
"Wow! Buddy, you look like you need a good time!" A man dressed in some macabre clown suit said to him. When Miguel fixed his crimson eyes on him the man seemed to deflate, the gulp in his throat audible as his posture shrunk and he struggled to keep his voice collected at the imposing sight of the larger man.
He pointed at the door to a bar that seemed full to bursting, crowds chattering, and a group of obnoxious women clucking like drunken hens as they left, shouting rather inappropriate things at Miguel as they walked by.
Miguel sighed and decided to just say fuck it, one drink or so. Deadpool probably already hopped to another dimension already and this could be a pointless waste of time.
The patrons parted around him like the sea for Moses, too intimidated by the man who towered over them to stay in his way as he made it over to the bar.
The seat to the barstool creaked under his weight as he sat down, burying his face in his hand
This is the last time he'd ever chase down a Deadpool. Next time, he would pass it off to Ben or hell, even Hobie...
"Wow! Miguel, huh?" A bubbly voice giggled out.
His head shot up as she mentioned his name, and hi blinked at her.
Uncharacteristically, he felt his mouth go dry at her costume.
The black dress was cut down to the top of her underbust corset, revealing delicious amounts of her marshmallowy soft-looking cleavage. Honestly, if the woman sneezed, she'd probably spill right out of it...
Her hair was... Off. A kind of black beehive atop her head, sharp makeup accentuating her cheekbones and eyes. Bright, crimson lips smiled at him, dimples in her cheeks.
She wasn't rail thin like the other women who had come onto him all night, her body was soft, and squeezable; warm and looking as though he would get decent handfuls of her sweet soft rolls in his hands--
"Wow! You even look like him, too!" You giggle.
His mouth opened and he blinked.
"Ah... El... Elvira. Right?" He tried. He remembered Peter showing him that movie one of the times he'd visited him and MJ's place.
"Ah! Ding ding, my dear!" You grin, tapping your nose. "Some people keep saying I'm Morticia Addams."
"Ah..." He cleared his throat, sitting up straighter.
Even in your heels, you had a feeling that if this man was standing on his own two feet he'd tower over you.
"Wow! You really do look like Miguel!" You gasped, your ruby red lips parted in a sweet "O".
They looked so soft, just like the rest of you--
"Well! What's your name, big guy?" You ask, your long, wispy (maybe fake?) eyelashes batted at him.
"Uh... Miguel." He said stiffly.
You giggle again, a sound he was quickly focusing on, a sound he found he liked amongst the hustle of the other patrons in the bar.
"Pff, no, silly. Your name."
"...Miguel."
Your smile falters a bit as you blink up at him.
"Oh. Oh! Oh gosh, that's your actual name? I'm sorry!" You laugh awkwardly.
He decided that maybe, just maybe... His night wouldn't be spoiled after all.
"Well, I don't think it's bad enough to apologize for..." He said, flashing a smile, his fangs poking out just past his lips.
You giggle a bit girlishly. "Oh! Oh, that's not what I meant... But I mean! At least you're... Well, uh. In character! You got the looks, the height, the name!"
Miguel shakes his head with a deep chuckle.
"I suppose I do." He fixed you with a soft gaze as his fingers tapped the bar top. "What's your name?"
You grinned at him and tapped the name plate on your breast, drawing his gaze downward to your cleavage.
He felt his face heat up a bit as his eyes lingered on the soft swells, until his brain finally processed the name written.
He repeated it back to you, his voice just barely shaky.
"Yep! Don't wear it out!" You wink, leaning on the bar.
Once again, your cleavage on full display, just begging for him to--
"So, no offense but you look absolutely miffed 'bout something." You chuckle.
"You... Could say that." He struggled, clearing his throat. "I was... Supposed to meet somebody but they... Bailed."
"Oh, god, I haaaaaate that for you, bud." You say, leaning back with a click of your tongue. Your long acrylic nails tap on the laminated bar.
"So! What'll it be?"
"Uh... I don't have any money on me. Sorry."
"Hah!" You point up at the whiteboard sign above the tap.
'Those in costume -- First two drinks are free!'
He blinked up at the sign. "That's... Generous."
"Yeah, my boss is big on community. And I'm the one who told him that promising two free drinks instead of one will draw our competitor's clientele away." You wink.
"That's awfully... poachy of you." Miguel smirked.
You shrugged. "What can I say? Capitalism is capitalism and you gotta make a buck somehow. And besides! Halloween and other holidays are the best nights for tips!"
You looked back at him with a twinkle in your eye.
"So! What'll it be mister Spider-Man?"
"...Hell. The strongest drink you have."
"Ooooh! Risk taker! I like it." You laugh in a sing-song as you turn to start gathering what you needed to mix his cocktail.
The gaze of all the male patrons were drawn to you when you started shaking, humming to yourself as you did, looking at the list of things for the drink you were making, not paying mind to the prying eyes ogling your breasts. Miguel was, abashedly one of them. But he stopped himself once he realized what he was doing, the others?
He wanted to strangle all of them. Especially the three men next to him who were making bets on who would convince you to go to their car with them.
They clammed up when Miguel leaned in when you turned away.
"Keep staring at her like that, and I will gouge out your eyes, pendejos." He growled, flexing his talons in the face of one of the men for emphasis.
They all freaked out and ran, not wanting to piss off some 6 plus foot whatever guy with what looked like retractable blades on his fingers, and glowing red eyes.
When you turned back around, the cherry red drink topped with strawberries and a black cherry in hand, you grinned at him, and saw the money on the counter.
"Oh!" You hum, handing Miguel his drink and placing the money in their proper places.
"So... What's in this?" Miguel asked, sniffing the drink lightly.
You smile again at him, a cheeky glimmer in your eyes. "That would be telling, sweetheart. But I will say I put some sour grenadine in it."
"Hah. Fair enough." Miguel said, taking a sip of his drink.
The burning in his throat caught him off-guard. As did the heavy taste of the alcohol, that was quickly snuffed by the fruity flavor as he swallowed it down.
"It's... Good."
"Your cringe says you weren't expecting the punch." You smirk, crossing your arms and pushing up your soft breasts.
"It's... Surprising." He conceded, plucking the black cherry up out of the top of the glass.
He decided to make a bit of a show as he curled his tongue around the cherry, bringing it into his mouth and snapping off the stem, chewing lightly.
Miguel couldn't help but notice the way your cheeks flush a little bit and you busy yourself with wiping down glasses.
Maybe tonight wasn't such a bust, after all.

what would you do if you were trapped in a time loop
i assume this time loop lasts until I better myself or something stupid like that right. Let’s say 24 hour loop
obviously i spend the first dozen loops watching every movie i wanted to watch but never got around to seeing
next hundred is reading books
spend a few months crafting an RPG system for the fun of it. record rules from previous loops in a shorthand, flesh it out fully over those months. make sure to dedicate time to memorizing all the core rules so I can easily replicate it when i get back
then apply the same sort of general idea to writing a book. spend a lot of time plotting it out, then write it scene by scene, redoing a scene each day until i’m happy with it. obviously it’s going to be a weird fragmented first draft that never all exists at once but crucially it’ll be really fucking easy to write when i get back to linear time
i can’t build up muscle mass so working out is pointless but i can master other skills. drive my ass out to a forge and practice making knives for a few months.
learn to do backflip
play laser tag at least once
ride every ride at every amusement park within a day’s journey of my starting point
learn to shoot a gun accurately (important for next step)
kill a right wing politician
try new foods until i like them
get really really good at makeup
learn how to pick locks
break into abandoned buildings and explore
fuck it. read every wikipedia article in english
maybe learn a new language? really the possibilities are endless
once i’m bored enough, do the rest of the school year’s course work ahead of time so i know all the answers when i’m in linear time again
Become a better person or whatever, breaking the time loop
Apply newfound skills to being so so so cool. I would love to be in a time loop i think it would fix me

My thoughts on the Wicked movie teaser trailer... so far.
Before you pop off in my replies and reblogs yes I know, this is just a teaser trailer and not the official tralier. Regardless that doesn't give this movie a magical critique pass. Most of my critques on this teaser come from my own thoughts and some of points raised in this post. This is also just me rambling into the void. Don't like don't read lmao.
If you've been following me for a while, then you already know my opinion on the Wicked movie and casting. Surprise surprise, you guessed it... I am extremely underwhelmed and disappointed. For so many reasons.
I'll start off with some things I like.
Johnathan Bailey is hot asf as Fiyero. (even if he looks way older than Fiyero is canonically meant to be)
The set and props. I think some of them actually look pretty neat. I'm glad they didn't use a green screen for Shiz and put in the effort to build a university campus. The train from Shiz to Oz looks kinda dope. I was always wondering what it would look like and I'll probably use that as inspiration for my fics and art comms.
Jeff Goldblum as The Wizard. I won't lie, I haven't seen a lot of movies with Jeff in them so I was cautious about his casting. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see how much his look and his performance so far actually fits Oscar. Time will tell if he can hold up to those standards.
I'm happy a WOC is playing Elphaba. Everyone complains about Fiyero not being racially book accurate but nobody talks enough about Elphaba being discriminated against as an amalgamation for rac!sm. More women of color should play her on stage.
THE NAILSSSS. Come on people this is the Wicked Witch of the West we're talking about she should be SERVING WITH THOSE CLAWS! Although personally I would've preferred them sharp but I'm over here with almond arylics what do I know lol.
I'm happy they casted a disabled actress to play Nessa. I always wondered why they never did that.
With that out of the way, let's get into a million reasons why I hated this trailer and why I'll most likely hate the movie anyways.
Arianna as Glinda. Look, I don't hate Ari. I like some of her songs and even bought some of her perfumes because I like smelling good. At worst I just don't care about her. However whenever I see Arianna as Glinda, I'm sorry I just don't see Glinda, I see ARIANNA GRANDE dressed in last minute cosplay for a Halloween party. I heard one line... ONE LINE from her and the delivery is NOTHING like Glinda's character or cadence, it's just Ari in drama class.
The wigs and costumes. What the hell was the makeup and hair crew thinking when they selected that wig for Arianna???? It's an ashy dull blonde that brings no color or life to the character. The #1 thing about Glinda is her vibrant blonde hair, it's even mentioned IN THE SONGS. MULTIPLE TIMES. This wig looks like a botched bleach job. Then, there's the costumes. Good lord what are those glasses on Elphaba's face??? I get they're trying to be all "whimsy" and "peculiar" in tone with WOZ, but they just look silly. Why not stick to the glasses in the musical? Why overdo it? I fear how the Emerald City sunglasses will look (if they even add those in) Also why are Glinda's clothes so dull? Where's the vibrance? Where's the pink frilly coquette contrast to Elphaba's dark coquette?
The camera work and Elphaba's entrance. This is Wicked the musical. I'm expecting a huge and grandiose presentation, especially when it comes to THE MAIN CHARACTER. Showing Elphaba from the back of her head in slow motion while she's walking to the entrance is just... boring and an overused cliche. Not to mention the underwhelming reactions from the extras. The cinematography is just meh. I'm expecting better for a fantasy film. It's been done before.
Cynthia as Elphaba. Listen, Cynthia is a great singer and talented actress. I have absolutely nothing against her. With that being said I'm going to be brutally honest: much like Arianna, she is not Elphaba... at least not entirely. Like Johnathan, Cynthia is way older than Elphaba is meant to be canonically and the editing team clearly used the de-aging filter on her to the point where it looks unnatural. If this movie had been made at least five years ago or earlier Cynthia would've fit perfectly.
Continuing my point with Cynthia: the singing. I'm sorry but what the hell was that riff with Defying Gravity??? I'm not entirely blaming Cynthia for this because this has become a massive problem with a lot of musical film adaptations which I like to call the popification of songs. It happens in nearly all the live-action Disney movies and I'm sick of it. What confuses me is STEPHEN FUCKING SCHWARTZ is involved in the musical production. He wrote the god damn songs, how the hell does he not direct Cynthia to sing the right note instead of letting her do whatever she wants??? I don't think he did that with Idina, which is why this riff is so iconic. Come on, if a tiktok meme trend can do that riff better and more accurately than an actual singer can, that's just embarrassing. I'm not good at explaining myself in terms of singing, so I'm hoping a youtuber I occassionally watch does a reaction video to the trailer and does a better job at explaining than I can.
The acting. Like I said with Arianna, the delivery is so bland and dry. I'm trying not to judge all of the acting on a teaser trailer but if this is how the leads are going to act throughout the whole movie then I'm disappointed.
Too much CGI in some parts. I get it. This is a fantasy movie there's bound to be certain effects you can't do practically. But that's no excuse when this is a $145 million dollar movie. The flying monkeys are so painfully obvious CGI. This was a wasted chance to get Doug Motherfucking Jones to play Chistery in prosthetics. So much of this movie ends up looking like those garbage Oz spinoffs. (If you know you know) The CGI is just bad. The bubble and Emerald City buildings look so cheap.
WHY IS THIS MOVIE SO DARK? This is suppossed to be OZ! Why do I have to turn up my brightness to look into the shadow realm???
Now onto some things I'm confused about.
Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible. I'm praying to god she'll blow us away because she's such a good actress and is serving c*nt in her costumes. I haven't heard her sing (I'm dumb but unless the opera song she sang in EEAAO was her then WOW!)
The silver slippers. I KNOW! I KNOW! The ruby slippers are copyrighted and can't be thrown in all nilly willy wherever you please. But keep in mind this is a 145 MILLION DOLLAR MOVIE ALL FOR PART ONE. Do not tell me they couldn't shill a few extra bucks on signing a few contracts. AND YES I KNOW. The musical uses the silver slippers in the first act in ode to the L. Frank Baum books which I love, but don't forget, they turn red when Elphaba enchants them to give Nessa the ability to walk. Dorothy shows up after Nessa is killed and has her shoes stolen. Why aren't they red now? Not to mention most of the audience might not know the original slippers in the books were silver. This would've been a great chance to combine two different canons.
WHO IS PLAYING DR. DILLAMOND???? ifitisjamescordenandyouusecrappycgiiwillgotoyourhousejohnchuand-
Finally, why did John Chu absolutely insist on this being a two parter movie with a year long intermission? Is this shit show really that fantastical that it can be akin to Kill Bill part 1 and 2?
That's pretty much it for now but expect an update to this post with a reblog with updated thoughts when an official trailer drops. My mind probably won't change though. I'm totalllllyyy not considering pulling an Eddy Burback sneaking into Morbius for a week when this movie comes out lol.
Universal Studios and AMC theaters that was a joke please for the love of god do not send Nicole Kidman after me.

Got any Octavia headcanons? Just in general 🦉🌠
Now, I don't have a ton since Octavia isn't one of my favorite characters and doesn't have a ton of screentime, but I did have a few, so ask and you shall receive!
“This place REEKS of corporate shame.”
(Octavia headcanons I think are pretty accurate)
Tumblr media
Octavia is super active on Sinstagram, but unlike most girls her age, she mostly posts photography and sometimes she tries silly trends or makeup looks with her dad.
Despite her original anger at her father’s affair, Octavia grows to love Blitz as if he were a second dad.
Via practices magic often with tutors or in school, but she prefers learning with her dad because she enjoys the bonding time it gives them. When her parents split up, one of the hardest things for her was having her studies with her dad cut in half.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her favorite snack is roasted marshmallows (sometimes smores). She often just gets a bag of marshmallows and sits in her room, using her pyrokinesis to roast them while she watches horror movies in bed.
While she is asexual, Octavia is biromantic. Stolas and Loona are the only two people who she's felt comfortable enough to come out to.
She loves to read, mostly thrillers and mystery novels. She plans to have enough books to rival her father's plant collection.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After her trip to the human world in “Seeing Stars”, Loona and Octavia made it a point to have coffee at least once a month. While the two usually have coffee and walk around Stylish Occult and other hell stores similar to it, they use the time to vent about their fathers, school/work, unbeknownst to their fathers, the girls sometimes sneak to earth to take in the sights there.
Loona is the first person she tried drugs or alcohol with. Via really wanted to try something rebellious so Loona supervised her while smoked a little weed and took a few shots.... then spent the rest of the night holding her hair while she puked and trying to bring down the paranoia levels. They both agreed Stolas and Blitz never needed to know that happened.
Stella is afraid of reptiles…. Unbeknownst to her, Stolas has let their daughter keep a pet snake that she found in his garden. Via has had this snake for almost 4 years without her mother's knowledge and it's name is Starlight.
Tumblr media
Octavia still hasn’t mastered transforming into her full demon form, but she is more interested in learning to transform into her human form since she’s seen both of her parents and Loona do it before and she thinks they all look quite pretty in their human forms… Since she struggles with finding anything attractive about herself now, she wonders if she’ll be as pretty as them.
Octavia is extremely musically inclined and despite her mother hating it, Via taught herself to play the drums.
Via visits her father in the hospital every day. He makes her promise to take care of his plants and she actually ends up really enjoying tending to the garden, she even talks to the plants and plays music for them to try to cheer them up since, much like her, they're also feeling a bit lost without Stolas at home.
After taking up journaling, she took up writing poetry and she sometimes performs it at open mic nights. She’s never told anyone, but she really enjoys it and despite her demeanor, she’s found that her mental health has improved tremendously since she started writing.
Collects interesting/weird taxidermy and gives each one a unique and personality.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Up until her first appearance in Helluva Boss, Octavia actually did the most to earn her mother’s affection. She stopped in hopes that the drastic change in behavior would catch her mother’s attention… When it didn’t, she slowly started learning who she was apart from her parents and came up with her current personality and aesthetic.
Loves spice. Like could care less about cookies or cupcakes most of the time but wants to eat the hottest pepper she can find like a tic tac.
Very much the type who wants to advocate for those who are struggling. Since she can’t do much to make hell better, once she’s old enough and learns to shift into her human form, she totally comes to the human realm to help with protests for causes she believes in.
Speaks in nothing but song lyrics sometimes. No reason, just does it.

I KNEW IT!!
Ok, so I've always had this feeling, this knowing feeling that Lisa would NOT have liked this new Priscilla movie. I always felt it. Because as we all know she was very protective of her father, but also honest. She wasn't the kind of girl to lie about something, she said what she thought. I love her honestly. BUT anyway, I just found an article that said she didn't like the script for the movie, now I know articles can't be trusted all the time, but this seems pretty accurate. I'M IN NO WAY saying I knew her, or I know everything about the Presley family. I don't at all, and never will until I meet them in Heaven but point is....I found this interesting. So she said, she saw it as "Vengeful and Contemptuous." I quote "My father only comes across as a predator and manipulative. As his daughter, I don't read this and see any of my father in this character. I don't read this and see my mother's perspective of my father. I read this and see your shockingly vengeful and contemptuous perspective and I don't understand why?" Now these were messages to Coppola, September of last year. She goes on to say "I will be forced to be in a position where I will have to openly say how I feel about the film and go against you, my mother and this film publicly." Now Coppola responded to these messages saying "I hope that when you see the final film you will feel differently, and understand I'm taking great care in honoring your mother while also presenting your father with sensitivity and complexity."
Now, whether or not this is true I don't know. I personally believe that Lisa would have felt this way seeing as how she's so protective and loyal towards her father, however she did see an early adaption of the script which was apparently 'changed and adapted'. I knew she wouldn't have liked it, I just knew it. I had a feeling. Either way, I still don't believe this movie will portray Elvis well, however I will watch it only to see how they victimize Priscilla even though it will anger me to my core. Now I'm not saying that I hate Priscilla or anything, and I know Elvis was in NO WAY perfect. He had his many faults but again, we all do. We're all guilty of our faults. And you don't hear us writing a book or making a movie do you? And considering Priscilla has gone on multiple occasions to disregard or change whatever she wrote in the book on numerous occasions, this just furthers the inaccuracies of what may have happened. But again, I wasn't there so I don't/will never know. Again this is my personal opinion, think what you want. I think this will be.....something else. And being in Australia I have to wait a while for it to come out, so if you watch it let me know what you think! After all, I don't want to waist my money.
All this being said, I do have a great respect for Priscilla, and her efforts in saving Graceland(Whatever the reasons) because now we have an opportunity to be closer to Elvis. And the fact that she birthed their beautiful, incredible, strong, amazing, talented, funny daughter Lisa Marie. I also really like her fashion, hair and makeup, and my looks are greatly inspired by her (Being a vintage fashion dresser). So there is that.
Sorry for rambling, tell me what you think! I'm not looking forward to it personally.
Ok....
Bye!

Obey me characters as type of goths!
Tumblr media
Authors Note: This is my first time writing so sorry if its really repetitive and these are just some of my personal headcanons and little mini imagines. I myself am also relatively new to the goth scene these might now be 100% accurate.
I hope you enjoy!
Lucifer:
I could really just choose one but I think that Lucifer would really like romantic, vampire, and victorian goth
Just look at him
He already has the whole vibe
Out of all of them I think he would like romantic goth the most since he's an old romantic at heart
definitely uses to name caramia as a term of endearment to you <3
Likes to wear more formal attire such as suits and lots of jewelry preferably chunky rings
Listens to Lebanon Hanover
Imagine spending a night with him listening to his records, sipping on nice red wine and him speaking sweet nothings to you
Mammon:
This one was actually really hard but I think Mammon would be into gothabilly
He gives me the vibe that he likes any type of 50s style clothing (think greaser style)
Listens to Elvis Presley
Definitely into things like vintage cars and decor
LOTS OF LEATHER JACKETS
Collects vintage horror movies
He doesn't watch them (mainly because he thinks their scary) just collects them because he thinks they look cool
Has at least one pin up girl tattoo
Loves going to old diners with you and taking you to old car shows
Definitely uses old slang
Calls you sugar or babe
Dances rockabilly like it's no one business
please look up real 1950s rockabilly dancing it looks like so much fun
Imagine him driving in his Demonio with you listening to rock 'n' roll and going to a club and dancing all night long just laughing with each other and just forgetting everything else :)
Leviathan:
I personally think he would be very into visual kei
He dresses a little more on the colorful side
Tries to incorporate some of his favorite animes into his fashion
Also gets a lot of his inspiration from them
Makes him feel more confident and it's kinda cosplay to him so he really likes it if you dress up with him
Learned to play guitar and bass because he wanted to play his favorite solos
Loves to do your makeup (only if you ask him bc he's too shy to ask you)
He still gets kinda shy if you compliment him but he really appreciates it
Especially since his outfits take a while to get on
HE LISTENS TO MALICE MIZER I DON'T MAKE THE RULES
Imagine getting ready with him to go to a concert and just seeing how excited he is to see his favorite artist and just having an overall great time with him
Satan:
To me this one is simple
He is a 100% New England Gothic type of person
He loves learning about the history such as the Salem Witch trials
His favorite authors are H.P. Lovecraft and Stephen King
His favorite book is Misery by Stephen King
Listens to The Shortwave Mystery
Fashion wise his style is more dark academia
Loves going to places that are haunted or hold cursed items
Frequent visitor of the Ed and Lorraine Warren museum
Also an old romantic
Writes love letters to you and closes them with a wax seal that has his sigil on it so you know it's him
Gives you flowers with special meanings
Calls you my heart or my joy since your the person who always makes him the happiest
Imagine him sending you a letter telling you to meet him in the library and he takes you on a date treating you like royalty and reading poetry he made specifically for you
Asmodeus:
Asmodeus would LOVE pastel goth
To him it's a perfect mix of dark edgy colors and bright bubbly colors
Loves accessories, mainly chokers and hair clips
Has A BUNCH of outfit choices for you if you want to try his style too
If you ask him to do your makeup say no more he's already sprinting to his room to get his makeup kit
Can and will dye your the brightest pastel colors if you ask him
His outfits are always perfectly coordinated
Pulls off black lipstick surprisingly well
Has graphic shirts and decorated socks for DAYS
Listens to Melenie Martinez
Calls you sweetie or love
Imagine him taking you out to Majolish, helping you buy pastel goth clothes since you've been wanting to try it out, he gives you the best tips about what accessories go best and him giving you endless praise saying how cute you look
Beelzebub:
Beel would definitely like health goth
He dresses more casually than his brothers since health goth is more wearing black and white sports brands
Really likes the music though
He listens to Molchat Doma during his workouts
I think he really likes tattoos but either is busy to get them or Lucifer doesn't let him
He works hard to keep both his physical and mental health in top shape so if you need a shoulder to lean on (both metaphorically and literally) or want a gym bro he's your guy
Calls you peach or honey
Knows a lot of comfortable goth brands if you want to buy some active wear
Imagine you come home from a long day at RAD and just being generally exhausted, you go to your room and soon Beel comes since he felt like you weren't feeling the best, he comes with your favorite snacks and you spend the rest of the night together enjoying each others presence
Belphegor:
I personally think that Belphie would be a trad goth but he barely has the time and energy for all that so I he would be an emo goth
I know what your gonna say BUT EMO AND GOTH ARE DIFFERENT I know that but I feel like he would find a way to combine them (also he thinks it's funny how it manages to get people angry)
Asmo takes his picture sometimes and adds a horrendous amount of blingees
Cuts his own hair
Owns so many band tshirts that his closet looks like a hot topic
I think he listens to Black Veil Brides or Twin Tribes
Acts like a stereotypical emo for shits and giggles
Always ends up forgetting to take off his eyeliner
Probably has a blog dedicated to astrology (Asmo got a hold of it and decorated it so much its like looking into the sun)
Probably has a few piercings
I think has has an eyebrow piercing and snake bites
Loves watching Tim Burton movies
Calls you my one and only or baby
Imagine waking from a nap to have a message from Belphie saying "Meet me in the planetarium", you go and he's there with a blanket and you two spend the rest of the night either stargazing, talking about astrology, or him reading to you some overly edgy poem talking about "your the light that reaches even the darkest parts of my soul" and "Will you be the Pon to my Zi?" (please tell me if you understand that reference)
It sounds super sappy but you know deep down he means it

Here are my reviews of the nine Phantom of the Opera adaptations I own on dvd (I have than these digitally but for now I'm just doing my dvds)
Phantom of the opera (1925) - Lon Chaney
Accurate to the book in a lot of ways, good soundtrack and atmosphere, amazing makeup for Erik
The changed ending takes away from the story and the silent movie format doesn't work well with the emphasis on singing
3.5/5
Phantom of the opera (1943) - Claude Raines
Christine just vibes the whole time, fun interactions between the two normal suitors
Less sympathetic Erik, all the names are changed, less horror, weirdly would have worked better if they did their original plan of having Erik be Christine's estranged father
3/5
Phantom of the opera (1983) - Maximilian Schell
Keeps the horror part intact I guess?? Prosthetics good
Everyone has different names, the main plot is changed for the worse and there is no levity, Erik is a creep even before his "transformation"
1/5
Phantom of the opera (1989) - Robert Englund
Good song as Erik's hallmark, good prosthetics, good casting and references to the book
Supernatural elements and changed backstop for Erik lessens sympathy for Erik, somewhat hard to follow plot
2/5 (ignoring my general dislike for medical-related gore)
Phantom of the opera (1990) - Charles Dance
Great cast, keeps the spirit of love and tragedy from the book, all plot changes work well, SO SAD
Why change Raoul to Philippe? Some lip-syncing not so good
4.5/
Phantom of the opera (2004) - Gerard Butler
THE VIBES! THE EMOTIONS! WAAAAAAHHH!
Some of the singing is iffy, having old man Raoul popping up all the time is kinda boring, all the age changes (especially the age at which Erik started teaching Christine) are for the worse
3.5/5
Love never dies (2011) - Ben Lewis
Some songs are pretty good, the cast tried their best?
What is that plot? No, really. What is it? Also. BATHING BEAUTY
2/4
A monster in paris (2011) - Sean Lennon
Great soundtrack, character design (especially Francour) is amazing
VERY loose adaptation, some animation is kinda wonkypretty much no horror
4/5
Phantom of the opera (2011/1986) - Ramin Karimloo
Everything good about the 2004 movie but add in great singing and better pacing
Why replace the Daroga with Mme Giry? Shame it didn't have the original production's set design
4.5/5
I love talking about PotO so feel free to leave your own reviews of the ones you've seen! I'm always up for friendly debate when it comes to phantom adaptations lol

A comprehensive list of every single Frankenstein adaptation i have ever read/watched and my reviews of them
Universal Frankenstein 1931
I hate this movie with my whole being. It's like they read the book upside down and backwards. Hate the creature's design. 1/10
Young Frankenstein
A hilarious spoof of the Universal film. Gene Wilder kills it as Frederick von Frankenstein. Creature design is much better than Universal, I love the non functional zipper on his neck. So silly and goofy. 9/10 (minus one point for Creech fucking being an important joke/plot point bc it makes me uncomfortable)
Junji Ito's Frankenstein
A mostly faithful comic adaptation of the original novel. Creature design is fantastic but he has short hair for some reason. Very cool art. 8/10
Frankenstein Alive, Alive!
Literally my favorite graphic novel. Bernie Wrightson cared about the Creature so much and it really shows. Incredible adaptation exploring the rest of Creech's life. 11/10 cannot recommend enough
Frankenweenie
Great Tim Burton movie. I love Sparky. Another successful spoof of the Universal film. 7/10 (minus points for being lowkey racist/xenophobic)
The Rocky Horror Show / Picture Show
I'm lumping in the musical and movie together. I love RHPS with my whole being. And it's a weirdly good adaptation. Dr. Frank N Furter's desire to create the perfect artificial man is explicitly queer. Rocky is born and immediately starts singing about how he's confused and miserable. 8/10
I, Frankenstein
Not a great movie but I did kind of enjoy it. Adam Frankenstein is caught in the celestial war of good and evil because he is neither human nor demon. His design sucks because he's just a guy, not nearly fucked up enough. Also he's not an incel which is very out of character unfortunately. 5/10
The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein
What the fuck is this book. Reading it was a roller coaster ride of "ok i dig this" and "what the actual fuck am I reading". All you need to know is the author sucks the human soul out of Victor and makes Creech a furry. 2/10
Frankenstein: A New Musical
I love this musical!! It's mostly book accurate with great portrayals of every single character. The original production's Creature design sucks though, it's literally just the actor with no prosthetics or makeup or anything. The music ranges from average musical stuff to absolute bangers. 9/10
Edward Scissorhands
I love this movie so I'm counting it because the Inventor makes an artificial human which is basically Frankensteining. Edward is adorable I love him so much. I think the movie is a great metaphor for the treatment of disabled/neurodivergent people in society. 8/10
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Specifically Sally and Dr. Finkelstein. Dr. Finkelstein is a super shitty dad to his creation, and Sally just wants to go out in the world and be a normal monster girl. As a Frankenstein adaptation 9/10 also 10/10 movie
X Files: The Post-Modern Prometheus
Incredible retelling with fantastic references to the original text. Mulder and Scully get justice for a monster in a crazy small town. And the episode is in black and white for no reason other than drama. But for some reason the Creature, who is called El Mutato, r**es people so for that unfortunately 7/10

I watched Birds of Prey and here's my thoughts on it even though this movie has been out for like three years
Tumblr media
It wasn't #girlboss
This movie didn't feel like a hyper-feminist capitalism girl power we-will-overcome movie. You know what I mean? Like it was very much a movie about women, but not in the 'watch this movie because hashtag feminism' way that Hollywood likes to give us. Women were the focus and the movie didn't make a big deal about it and it was nice.
2. Gotham was bright
If you watch Batman movies, Gotham is always gloomy and overcast, but in Birds of Prey Gotham has sunlight. Gotham actually looks like a place people could live in which was pretty cool and different.
3. Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) was a backwards title.
It might have been called Birds of Prey but it was undeniably about Harley Quinn. It could have more accurately been called The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn (and the Birds of Prey). Harley took center stage, which, to be clear, wasn't a bad thing. (To be fair, it's also known as Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, so.)
I think this scene with Harley and Dinah at the club really gets at what this movie is about.
Harley: "How do you spell "mercenary"? Merceninny… Merceran? Singer lady woman! You're really, really good."
Dinah: "Yeah."
Harley: "Know what a harlequin is?"
Dinah: "Janky-ass clown with bad eye makeup?"
Harley: "Oof! Ouch! A harlequin's role is to serve. An audience. A master. You know, a harlequin's nothing without a master. And no one gives two fucks who we are beyond that.
Dinah: "Yeah, I don't know who you think I am, lady, but I'm not her."
Tumblr media
It's about Harley breaking with what everyone, including herself, thinks is her role in the world. She's no longer willing to serve the Joker, but she's still performing for an audience, trying to get a reaction out of the people around her through the crazy things she does. Harley, throughout the movie, learns to (somewhat) define herself on her own terms and stand on her own two fee. She's by no means perfect at the end, but she's grown from the sad, pathetic, just-been-dumped Harley at the beginning of the movie.
4. Roman Sionis and Victor Zsasz gave me Gaston and LeFou vibes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Something something hyper masculinity something something queer coding idk idk
5. None of the main characters felt flat
Harley was, of course, the most fleshed out, followed by Dinah and Renee, then Cass and Helena. Helena was, in my opinion, the least developed character, but least-developed is not the same as under-developed. In movies where there's a team of people, there's always going to be characters that get more focus. However, my pet peeve is when teams have useless characters, people who don't do anything and could easily be cut from the movie without really affecting much, and I didn't see that with Birds of Prey.
6. The fight scenes were delightfully violent
I just really liked seeing Harley hitting people. It was fun, and the entire sequence of her fighting at the police station was really entertaining and well choreographed. Additionally, Roman's demise was shockingly and delightfully abrupt.
7. Final Review
3/5 stars, so a pretty solid movie in my book! The plot was pretty basic but was helped by Harley's non-linear narrative, which thankfully did a fairly decent job of keeping things fairly straight on where we were in the plot. The characters were interesting, and I felt like the actors all did an excellent job portraying their roles. The cinematography was beautiful, and though it wouldn't be the first movie I pick, I wouldn't turn down a rewatch if offered.
Tumblr media
(This gif is what Batman would have looked like dancing at the club with Harley had he been in this movie, just fyi.)

I’m still not sold on ‘Everything Everywhere’ winning Best Picture, I believe that enough AMPAS voters will rebel against it and pave the way for something like “The Banshees of Inisherin,” “Top Gun: Maverick” or even “The Fabelmans” to instead win the big prize.
Some yesterday saw ‘Everything Everywhere’ being snubbed from the VFX and makeup categories as a sign that the Oscar rebellion against this film had indeed started.
i actually have to say i agree. i never got the feeling EEAO was BP material nor that it would win, and i don’t find that the critics circle awards actually mean anything for oscar wins. i think monopolizing accolades from the regional critics can guarantee an indie flick a spot in the nominations and status as a serious contender; but lately, i haven’t really seen it translate into wins. i would actually put my money more so on top gun, which is looking like the crowdpleaser favorite vs. traditional prestige film (which this year i think might turn out to be banshees; currently its the fabelmans, but i feel that’s losing momentum due to the poor box office showing). however top gun is the kind of massive budget summer blockbuster that we haven’t really seen triumph for best picture in a long time. other crowdpleasers have been underdogs in more ways than one: coda (indie, female directed), nomadland (indie, female directed, largely non-professional cast), parasite (non-english, international), green book (small budget), moonlight (indie, black directed), and so on.
all i know is….this year’s oscars race is just not interesting for me. i think this may be the year they finally (consciously) nominate an asian woman in michelle yeoh, but then again, i don’t really know. awkwafina had a lot of momentum and was a young ingenue and it culminated in absolutely nothing for her at the oscars. now, michelle yeoh has the benefit of an “its long overdue” framing and i think her campaign thus far as been pretty good, so we will see. i don’t think she’ll win though. getting glenn close flashbacks on that front. or even chadwick boseman. for women, and for some (read: young and racialized) men, academy voters do not care about rewarding a career. in fact, specifically, they want to keep the best actress category for the young ingenues and keep best actor prestigious and reserved for established older male actors. that’s a sexist mainstay at these awards.
also….i don’t know that it is accurate to describe the best actress race as being full of powerhouse performances. now, i’ve yet to see women talking, and i’m excited to and i think i may find those there. i also am deliberately delaying seeing till because i already know exactly the kind of movie it is, but i don’t necessarily think that just because the material is middling that danielle deadwyler won’t give a knockout performance. i mean, speaking of glenn close, that’s what she did in the wife. and as boring as the trauma-free oscar bait that i know till is, these kinds of films still often give good chances for actors to really act - loudly - that translates into memorable performances. but michelle williams was so so in the fabelmans, cate blanchett did nothing for me really in tar, and michelle yeoh was great but not something i’d describe as a knockout performances. like these women are great so they’re always great, but “knockout” means more than that

Historical note to those who have seen the movie Lawrence of Arabia on reading "Seven Pillars of Wisdom"
Beautiful film, sparked my interest in the subject, Peter O’Toole and Omar Sharif were international treasures, and frankly it was a significant part of my bisexual awakening.
As others have put it, summarized by a lovely gif-maker on tumblr here:
Tumblr media
It is also not super historically accurate, even very accurate to Lawrence’s book, and pretty racist at times including fake Arab characters, omitting many, and brownface!
Tumblr media
The character “Prince Faisal” was played by Alec Guinness, who was also Obi-Wan Kenobi in the original Star Wars trilogy starting 15 years later.
Amazing actor in other regards, I think he genuinely/misguidedly approached the role with respect and gravity, was coached by Arab actors including Omar Sharif.... He was a white man playing an Arab in brownface makeup, which should not have been done, period.
The character was also written in more of Sherif Hussein’s historical role as the behind-the-scenes leader of the whole thing, not the day-to-day leader on the ground.
Tumblr media
The character “Sherif Ali ibn el Kharish” was played by Omar Sharif, who was amazing. No notes on him, other than praise! The character was an invention/amalgamation for the film though, mostly based on the real Prince Feisal and a few of the other field leaders of the Revolt.
(Mod Whit note: I loved Omar Sharif so much as a child from this and his other movies, that I’d always glance over his column in the newspaper next to the funnies, where he wrote about strategy for the playing card game bridge. Even though I had absolutely no idea how to play. Man, I was so cool as a kid!)
When you watch the movie, I suggest pretend that Alec is Sherif Hussein and Omar is Feisal, and the whole thing will make *a little* more sense.

The differences between character appearances in Madame Goncharov (1971) and Goncharov (1973).
So, I'm a huge fan of both and love to compare and contrast so behold the second of hopefully many Goncharov analysis posts to come!
The timelines of the book and movie aren't set in stone but based on certain lines in the book such as "Plus de dix ans de loyauté et c’est ce que tu me fais?" I'm going to assume the story takes place in between ten to twenty years and as a result will also be covering how accurately to the book the characters aged.
Goncharov
Played by Robert de Niro, Goncharov is shockingly the least accurate to the books!
Tumblr media
Described as "semblable à un loup", Goncharov is consistently mentioned with distinctively sharp wolf-like features, something that - while De Niro doesn't necessarily lack - does not have in abundance.
Another detail that gets left out is that (book) Goncharov is quite tall - over 6', being only rivalled by Ice Pick Joe in the main cast. De Niro on the other hand was 5'9 at the time of filming.
I stand by the casting of De Niro nevertheless, as Goncharov's most touched upon quality - his youthfulness - was the one thing that De Niro had in spades. Roughly 40 at the beginning of the story, Goncharov is described as looking nearly a decade his junior, this trait continues throughout with the only sign of Goncharov's advancing age being a few grey hairs (something included in the film).
Tumblr media
Mario Ambrosini
Following the least accurate appearance we have the most (with only one major exception) with Al Pacino as Mario Ambrosini!
Tumblr media
Al Pacino has every single feature mentioned in the book, the only difference being that Mario is described as unattractive while Pacino is most certainly not. Pacino is also slightly taller than Mario who is constantly mocked for being "petit" and "à peine la hauteur des épaules".
However, while this is not about the casting, I feel it's important to mention that Mario during the later stages of the movie looks nothing like his book counterpart.
While Goncharov barely ages, Mario is the opposite. Though the movie definitely showcases the depths of just how tired and depressed he is, it would have been impossible to portray an older Mario without the filming taking forever or casting another actor for the second half.
Mario is said to have gained a substantial amount of weight due to overeating thanks to the stress of working as Goncharov's consigliere, as well as having grown out his hair. He's also described as looking in his mid-fifties which Al Pacino was definitely not.
I'm honestly thankful they didn't use prosthetics or cast another actor though, because despite this one nitpick, Mario honestly felt like he was wrenched straight out of the book and I think only Al Pacino could have pulled him off.
Tumblr media
Katya Goncharova
Portrayed by Cybil Shepherd, Katya is fairly accurate to the books with a few key differences.
Tumblr media
In the books, Katya is not a real blonde and stops dyeing her roots in later chapters as her dark "true colours" begin to shine. In the movie she stays fully blonde throughout and there is no allusion made to Katya dyeing her hair at all.
Katya also has much softer features in the film than the book, having been described as the fox to her husband's wolf. She is mentioned to have a very pointy chin and triangular nose as opposed to Shepherd's more rounded features.
Like Goncharov, Katya is said to have not really aged all that much save for her eyes. I think a little makeup to accentuate her eyebags could have gone a long way, as she looks the same at the end of the movie as she did in the beginning.
Her performance more than makes up for all this though, so 10/10 in my book regardless.
Tumblr media
Andrey (Andrei) Daddano
I know some people have mixed feelings on Harvey Keitel as Andrey (spelt Andrei in the books) but I think, in terms of appearance, the casting was pretty accurate.
Tumblr media
In the beginning, Andrei is said to look more like Katya's brother than Valery - their similarities being a constant point of comparison (Goncharov has a type). He's described as having a "visage de renard" but I think Harvey Keitel fits this description very well.
He's mentioned to have dirty copper hair (something Keitel lacks), and is the most "pâle" of the ensemble in terms of skin. He is also supposed to have a punchable face according to Goncharov himself and I do not want to punch Keitel so there is that as well.
In terms of aging, I think the eye patch, facial hair and streaks of grey caused Keitel to age accurately to the books, however he is mentioned in certain passages to have lost quite a bit of weight (Cassius parallels what up), but I don't think it would have been ethical to force Keitel to do the same.
Tumblr media
Joe Morelli and Sofia Ambrosini
We're doing a two for one here for Sofia (played by Sophia Loren) and Joe (played by the late, great John Cazale).
Tumblr media
The differences for these two are pretty inconsequential, Sofia is said to have a longer face and rounder eyes (resembling Mario) whereas Joe is supposed to be 6'4 and "jaunâtre". However this is bordering nitpicky and I can't think of anyone more suited to playing these two.
Tumblr media
An interesting detail I want to point out is that it seems Loren was cast based on her resemblance to an older Sofia as opposed to everyone else (sans Ice Pick Joe, my man died before everything went to shit).
But yeah, these two were very good choices and I do not have much else to say. Thank you for bearing with me and I will be back with another essay soon.

Can you talk more about your time as a film extra? It sounds very interesting
Sure!
It started in winter 2020, during my second year of uni. I studied graphic design and prinmaking, both are expensive af (Adobe programs for design + special papers and ink for prints, one sheet of said paper can cost up to $20/80PLN). I was born in the city that I went to uni in, so there was no need for me to pay landlords or even buy my own food, but still, the materials were bonkers costly, so I decided to earn some money for them. It's really easy to become an extra, all you have to do is find an extra studio (Wrocław has two, I'm signed to ABM to this day), record a scene straight from a shit pseudo-documentary (ukryta prawda, Polacy wiedzą), which isn't published, it's just for them to see if you're ok for speaking roles. Then you sign a paper and they send you emails with movies or shows they need people for. It doesn't pay well, but it's ok if you just need a tiny, tiny bit of money.
My first show was Pierwsza Miłość, it was an episode about some guy getting spiked during a party? I never watched this series before and had no idea what was going on :) But turns out the medical people in Polish TV are actual medical pros and the equipment (like defibrillators) is 100% real! On my first shooting day it was freezing cold, around -8 C, but we could eat and drink everything that was on the tables during the fake party we were filming. I went for that show a few times, since they were making an entire season.
The main event of this job happened last autumn, when TVP (we hate TVP here I hate the government I hate homophobia I hate sexism <3 I want them dead) was filming a (kinda crap) historical drama Kordian. The source material is a classic of Polish romanticism, but they took it let's say liberally. I went because I like the book and it's a historical costume film. A few days before shooting, me and the other extras had to go to the main TV and radio building to get our costumes fitted. I had no idea who was about to play the important speaking roles, and when I found out I was literally shocked? Some of my mutuals know that I'm into Sienkiewicz's trilogy (a book series from the 1880s), which got adapted into movies when Poland was a communist country. I love the films a lot, the most known one is The Deluge (which happen to be the movie with the most historically accurate saber fight in film history), starring some of the most well known Polish actors of that time. And they were about to be in the movie I was in IN THE SAME SCENES? We had mr. Olbrychski (Kmicic), mr. Teleszyński (Boguś) and mr. Nowicki (Ketling z Pana Wołodyjowskiego). And Pazura but I found out he's an awful dude, and he didn't have a role in Trilogy movies, he's just famous. I got my makeup done right next to Pazura and I wanted to punch him in the face because of all the sexist stulejarz stuff he was saying <3
99 % of extra work is waiting, so we did that for like 7 hours (legit) and then played a few scenes by the Wrocław cathedral. It was brutal since I was in a historical outfit and heels on a renaissance pavement :/ I talked to some fellow extras, tbh it was slightly intimidating to be next to mr. Teleszyński, dude is like 2m tall and very, very proud and stoic. Mr. Olbrychski on the other hand is such a walking meme. He's like a million years old, yet I wish to be as fit as he is. Bro literally run off into the churchy distance because he was done with the film crew, smoked a cig and came back only because he was excited to see a horse he was about to ride. (he likes horses a lot and I think rescues horses on his own or somethin??) When he met the horse and befriended him (just a disclaimer, I know nothing abt horses), he got on it and escaped the set yet again, to have a ride around the cathedral. The street wasn't closed off so it was pretty funny watching pedestrians be like "o kurwa was that Olbrychski on a horse rn?". He played his role, it took two takes, his voice is as loud as a whole ass Rammstein live show, pyro included. Also he uses a flip phone from the 2000s. I got a picture with him. I was sitting on the pavement, scrolling on discord, while he just materialised out of thin air right in front of me and talked to some coffee people I believe? So I got up as quickly as I could and screamed CAN I SNAP A PIC into his unimpressed face. He just murmured "yea", and we got a photo. I have a pic with all the actors, but I'm an average young (1970s-1980s) Olbrychski enjoyer and my pinterst board is impressive. Mr Teleszyński I met maybe after 30 minutes of being on the set, as I said he was very stoic but much less done with everything.
I must admit, I expected these actors to be just kinda normal, but they're such unforgetable personalities! Can't say much about mr. Nowicki, because I didn't notice him in the makeup camper :)))) I didn't move my head much since I didn't wanna piss off the makeup artist, it was a different extra that told me we even were in one place together.
That was my last time on a set, but I'm willing to go back once or twice, if they do some other historical movies.

what did you think of Sofia Coppola's Priscilla? I really love how it turned out, I thought they did a great job showing the nuances of their relationship, and how much they loved each other. I'm curious to hear your thoughts!
Hello!!!! Thankyou for this message anon!!!!! Ok um... confession time.....I haven't actually seen the movie yet 😭🫣. HOWEVER!...I have seen clips on YouTube.....and if I'm 100% honest.....I'm not too sure how I feel.
I've been very skeptical of it's place in the Elvis world since it was announced....simply because it was based off 'Elvis and Me' by Priscilla, and while I don't have all that much against Priscilla(except for questioning a few wof her choices 😬🧐, if you know you know) But considering I've never met her I shouldn't judge. As Elvis said "To judge a man by his weakest link, is like to judge the ocean by just one wave" But...I just don't know how I feel about a movie based off a book she's disproven so much over the years...like for example she was saying I'm an interview one time that the whole chair swinging thing wasn't actually at her, Elvis was annoyed at another situation and threw the chair right as she walked in...now the truth is, we were never there, so we won't ever know.
AND I'm not trying to disprove the fact that Elvis had a temper in fact he owned it in an interview from 1962 I believe saying he knew he had a temper, and then when he would let it out it he didn't like himself after, and it's been proven time and time again he had a bad temper. After all he was human.
But yeah to answer your question, no I haven't seen it...will I? I'm not sure, probably just to see if my scepticisms were warranted if anything. For those of you who have been following me a while, or know me they'd know I'm very protective of this man....like Of fight for him 😭 so this movie.....Im not sure how it sits with me 😭.
However I don't/won't hate on people for watching it, I've seen too many things of people being unkind to eachother on here because of this movie...so if you watched it Great! Go you! At this point if it gets Elvis more fans then that's all we're really here to do, because haters will be everywhere. You can't avoid them...so....we just have to learn to ignore them because most of the time haters whether that be of Elvis or just in general are most often people with no life's looking to let their frustrations of the world out on other people. All we can do is ignore it.
Sorry for this long reply!!!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!!! I'm a big vintage dresser and advocate, anything from the 50s-70s is my vibe....basically the decades Elvis was around in 🤣. So I'd probably also watch it to see how accurate the fashion and makeup was too!
Anyway, thankyou again for the question!!! Have a lovely day/night!!!!!!! 💋
