GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS

I've finally decided it's time to share a long fic that I've been working non stop on secretly!!

I'm so fucking excited about this, so here you go!

Summary:

Sirius Black isn't what you'd call a 'good person'. He's just fine, and all, but who's keeping track, why does being good matter?

After he dies he realises that it matters... a lot.

A very long The Good Place AU fic in which Sirius is our Eleanor Shellstrop and Remus is the ever lovely Chidi Anagonye. I've been developing this for a while, and it's something I'm very proud of so far, and I've decided that it's finally time to share it with you!

So strap in, because this is going to be a JOURNEY (you don't have to have watched the show to read this!! It'll go off from the exact TGP storyline very VERY early on so don't worry about it too much)

It is Sirius (and wolfstar) centric, with some other POVs as a special treat every so often, and will also have Jily, Dorlene, Minerva x Poppy and possibly Rosekiller? I haven't decided yet lmao

Sirius is waking up.

Confusion washes over him for a moment, being all too used to aggressive headaches, almost like he’s being stabbed, dehydrated and nauseous, punishment for yet another night out, but this feels… pleasant. He isn’t peeling his eyes open uncomfortably, hoping and praying that he has something in his cupboards to settle his stomach. Instead, he wakes easily, wondering when he even fell asleep. After a few short blinks, his eyes finally start focusing.

Where the hell is he?

It’s definitely not his dingy flat that he hasn’t been able to play electricity for yet. He should really get on that, not being able to charge his phone in the flat is getting really annoying, he doesn’t want to keep looking for McDonalds’ he can charge shit shit up in.

His hands run over the light cream leather of the sofa he’s sat on, glancing around the room. Directly in front of him, on a wall that is such a stark white that it should be painful, a calming green text cuts through the paint.

‘Welcome! Everything is Fine.’

Fine.

Sure, he doesn’t actually know where he is or what’s going on, but somehow, and Sirius really isn’t sure how, he trusts it. He may be somewhere full of expensive furniture, but Everything’s Fine. Everything-

I really despise the Marvelification of Stranger Things, because all the interviews nowadays are constantly referencing how fast paced and epic and big the finale will be but the reason people fell in love with the show wasn't special effects or long episodes; it was the plot, it was the characters, it was the mystery. Stranger Things 1 may have been a story about a government conspiracy and a monster, but that's not why we stuck around. The show can throw amazing CGI, Russians, a battle within the American army and an apocalypse at the audience with the biggest budget known to man but if they forget to ground it and keep it central, it'll just get lost amongst a plethora of other "epic" blockbusters. We want Steven King, not Avengers.

#i think s5 has a TON of potential to be great don't get me wrong #but they need to drive home the characters #make the final fight rooted in emotion not throwing hands at each other and screaming #s4 i think was getting there by exploring max's arc and the hawkins plotline was perfect #so don't take this as me saying s5 will be bad #but s1 and 2 are my favourites for a reason #im just getting nervous based on them constantly banging on about how big the finale will be #ALSO they need to put emphasis on the mystery around will and the ud being frozen #if they keep it central and focus on will and eleven i think they can pull it off #but i hope this makes sense #stranger things #byler #will byers #stranger things five #st5 #stranger things one #stranger things two

sometimes I think abt how the months coming up to and the prom night in freshman year must feel to class swap sklonda. your perfect kid who has literally never gotten a single reprimand for anything does what can only be described as a quad crit crime combo and becomes a nerd punisher by the end of the night

I imagine riz can tease out Too Much from that #this is my favourite thing. when a character becomes annoying to show that they feel comfortable around certain people #one thing I will never change about riz is that he goes whole hog all the time forever. kid does Not know moderation he is 100% at all time #the switch up in freshman year turns out slow bc he and his friends get thrown in jail for two months but the moment he #gets the memo that he just doesn't get to bow out of the fight like other people bc of who he is he immediately goes okay <3 violence it is #I feel like I've been kinda glossing over how Intense the little guy is in the class swap bc it's a more lowkey kind of intense usually #but like he is lol. he's intense and he's Mean too. that's his magic <3

They *all* get a chance to be featured.#Cooperation was the real end goal! However I do think these two have the best frontman energy of the group.#Or at least 'crowd favourite' energy. I also really loved hearing what people thought their vocal styles would be like!#This was probably one of my favourite polls to do and I love drawing these characters a lot B*)#I'd love to spend a bit more time in this AU so count on me bringing it back.#One thing I keep feeling like I need to redeem myself on is Madam Lan's Translucent skirt. I have *not* done the concept justice yet.#It is such a crack-platonic ship but I want to think Madam Lan and A-Qing would enjoy each other's company.#Possibly also with JYL as well. They can be like mutually beneficial therapy dogs to each other.#Madam Lan never got to see her kids grow up into teenagers after all. She only had sons. Never daughters.#Even if she saw her kids once a month we do know she treated them with so much love and kindness.#She would bite the shit out of YZY for yelling at JYL. What a sight to see. A-Qing would also start biting (for fun).

Handmade Quilava plushie! He is extremely soft and floppy and has removable flames (which I custom painted, the fur was just plain yellow) that attach via magnets. Measures 46 cm nose to bum (18 inch). I'm so happy with this guy :D I've been wanting to have a floppy Quilava plush for so long!

I had a two week holiday this year and they were instantly slurped up. it went so fast!#there was this big football thing the week before my holiday - basically teams of teens come from all around the world to play etc.#I heard a girl tell her teammates that 'I'd love to travel on this bus every morning; happy people all around you; just add some music...'#she was also very excited when the bridge opened. the 'happy people' around her sighed bitterly and leaned back for a ten minute wait.#it is thankfully over now. the bus home is no longer stuffed full of football teams. but it's a fun experience for the players etc etc etc #well. in other thrilling news I went to spy on our sister shops during my time off. to see what they do differently. maybe steal some ideas #one store was like an instagram post with fancy teacups and stylish outfits. who knew a second-hand store could be so boring.#the other was like a man-cave with furniture and a passively-aggressive note by the toys stating that 'if u break it u pay. idiot. tnx<3'.#the man-cave was my favourite :)#rant over now! take care and bye etc!
