For the never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you ask game:
Lavender Brown 😍
What's your least favorite ship for this character?
Thank you giving me an excuse to blab on about Lavender for the character ask game!
When I'm reading Lavender fics I first and foremost want her to be a.) alive and b.) thriving, putting lipstick and blush over her scars and being a badass and whatever career she chooses (my headcanon is she becomes a social worker for the newly reformed werewolf affairs office - previously the werewolf registry). Her romantic life is alwys secondary to me.
But our girl is the best and she deserves a family and to be loved.
I did read a Charlie/lavender fic once, and I didn't hate it, but I was like, come on, Charlie, that's your baby brother's ex-girlfriend. That is weird? Like if my older sister dated one of my exes I'd be super confused. And hurt.
I also read a lavender/dudley fic, which was funny, but I really don't see Dudely having anything to do with muggles, and I like to believe if any of Harry's friends meet his relatives, they kick them in the nards.
I think I'll just go with my general distaste for pairing "good guys" with random Slytherins. I'm not saying it can't be done well. Just every time I see it done, the politics and personalities of the characters are erased, and the ships only exist for purely aesthetic reasons.
I just want Lavender to be happy and not take shit from anyone

hi! so yes tagging your posts "anti-whatever" puts your posts directly into that tag. so as a buckt*mmy person, not trying to start an argument or be rude, but you said that you weren't sure how true that is so i wanted to confirm that that is 100% true. tumblr's tagging system is a complete mess. it would probably be best if you censored the tag entirely (like t*mmy k*nard, if you want to keep your posts out of the tag while still tagging your stuff for organization) so that us bucktommy girlies dont have to see negativity in our tag just like you probably don't want to see negativity in the b*ddie tag. i agree that a large part of this issue is that people do not know how to tag things properly and feel like they are forced to keep seeing negative comments about things they like, like people tagging b*ddie for you guys only to go on to bash it or when people tag buckt*mmy for us, only to go on to bash it. i think the whole "shipping war" thing is completely ridiculous and would be solved if people just stayed out of each other's lane and tried to a be a little calmer about fictional characters lol 💖 anyway, lots of love 💖
there we go.

Needs vs. Wants
I don’t need the answers to all of Life’s challenges. I can manage my way through if given the chance. I just want the answer that keeps me from getting metaphorically kicked in the nards every other day.
The only constant and guarantee in Life is: A) death; B) taxes; C) nut punch; D) all of the above

We have a very weird stance on LGBTQ+ identities. Also this somehow has a paragraph about our perfect boyfriend at the bottom so
We collectively identify as systemfluid (collective gender changes depending on front) because that’s the most accurate descriptor we can find. The majority of us are men or masc-aligned, but we refer to the body using it/its, and collectively use masc and andro terms. (boyfriend/partner, guys/people, etc.)
When trying to figure out our individual genders it’s like [A] can’t tell if it’s [A] or if [B] is influencing it. It’s the same for sexuality but it could also be the [A] isn’t sure if they’re attracted to masc people in general or just our boyfriend, or if they even feel attraction, because [A] likes being with our boyfriend but isn’t sure if they actually love him like most of us.
We have a weird experience with relationships in general, oftentimes we’re not sure if it’s love, fascination, or just happiness that’s making us kick our feet and roll around in bed talking to him.
Speaking of him, our boyfriend is incredibly sweet because not only is he a total keeper and an adorable little nard but he ALSO periodically checks our sp for new alters or a change in front AND uses both /r and /p as to not exclude those of us that are aroace or lesbians! He’s actually so perfect, I wish everyone had their own personalized version of him but ours would obviously be the best because he’s the original ><
-🗝️🎪 (may we claim this if its not taken? if so, then 🗝️🎭 also works!)
Awww this is so cute! I'm happy you found a boyfriend so sweet and understanding as him
I get that having a CDD really affects on how your identity presents, especially in the queer aspect, it can be very strange and come to a point were you can't really describe the full experience with just a few words but that doesn't make it any less valid
I'm happy that you found someone who can respect that and makes you happy, I wish you all the best to your system, you and your boyfriend!

HELLO welcome yes yes
This is a gimmick blog where I use the autism powers of Spongebob Squarepants having been my special interest for nearly my entire life to identify the episodes of images or clips of the show used in wherever
(I mean this as in just the main series! I don't do identification on the spin offs or other stuff as of right now, this isnt out of dislike its to keep things consistent- also because I know the main show better than I know myself, only exception is I might slip in some of the video games sometimes, this has a chance to change but at the moment yeah)
I am also willing to provide my services through the askbox if you want me to find you something or you can tag me in posts directly I won't bite
The way I do it goes Season [number] - Overall episode number [a or b, depending on how its paired with its sister episode] - and then the episode's name in quotes (For example: Season 5 Episode 97a "20,000 Patties Under the Sea")
The person running this blog (nnugatoryextravagance) is 17 and has all the weird gender ever [honkself/💊self pronouns only, if you cant then please just use my name, Sludge], I am also disabled and so very tired all the time, please be patient and respectful
I don't have the willpower or spoons to write a DNI at the moment, but I am willing to have on record that if you are a terf or infantilize autistic people or anything I am blowing you up with my mind you suck get outta here, ableists and bigots and all alike can suck my nards
Anyway that is all for now thank you have fun

DAILY SCRIPTURE READINGS (DSR) 📚 Group, Mon Mar 25th, 2024 ... Monday of Holy Week, Year B
Reading 1
________
Is 42:1-7
Here is my servant whom I uphold,
my chosen one with whom I am pleased,
Upon whom I have put my Spirit;
he shall bring forth justice to the nations,
Not crying out, not shouting,
not making his voice heard in the street.
A bruised reed he shall not break,
and a smoldering wick he shall not quench,
Until he establishes justice on the earth;
the coastlands will wait for his teaching.
Thus says God, the LORD,
who created the heavens and stretched them out,
who spreads out the earth with its crops,
Who gives breath to its people
and spirit to those who walk on it:
I, the LORD, have called you for the victory of justice,
I have grasped you by the hand;
I formed you, and set you
as a covenant of the people,
a light for the nations,
To open the eyes of the blind,
to bring out prisoners from confinement,
and from the dungeon, those who live in darkness.
Responsorial Psalm
_______________
Ps 27:1, 2, 3, 13-14
R. (1a) The Lord is my light and my salvation.
The LORD is my light and my salvation;
whom should I fear?
The LORD is my life's refuge;
of whom should I be afraid?
R. The Lord is my light and my salvation.
When evildoers come at me
to devour my flesh,
My foes and my enemies
themselves stumble and fall.
R. The Lord is my light and my salvation.
Though an army encamp against me,
my heart will not fear;
Though war be waged upon me,
even then will I trust.
R. The Lord is my light and my salvation.
I believe that I shall see the bounty of the LORD
in the land of the living.
Wait for the LORD with courage;
be stouthearted, and wait for the LORD.
R. The Lord is my light and my salvation.
Verse Before the Gospel

Jn 12:1-11
Six days before Passover Jesus came to Bethany,
where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.
They gave a dinner for him there, and Martha served,
while Lazarus was one of those reclining at table with him.
Mary took a liter of costly perfumed oil
made from genuine aromatic nard
and anointed the feet of Jesus and dried them with her hair;
the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.
Then Judas the Iscariot, one of his disciples,
and the one who would betray him, said,
"Why was this oil not sold for three hundred days' wages
and given to the poor?"
He said this not because he cared about the poor
but because he was a thief and held the money bag
and used to steal the contributions.
So Jesus said, "Leave her alone.
Let her keep this for the day of my burial.
You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me."
The large crowd of the Jews found out that he was there and came,
not only because of him, but also to see Lazarus,
whom he had raised from the dead.
And the chief priests plotted to kill Lazarus too,
because many of the Jews were turning away
and believing in Jesus because of him.

FOCUS AND LITURGY OF THE WORD
Today we start one of the most important weeks in our church.  A week that is full of suffering and pain yet equally full of promises and hope.  This is a week where we will see the cross, as a symbol of great suffering, be then transformed to a symbol of hope, of trust, and, above all, of love.  On the surface, the readings for today conveyed to me two major themes: acknowledging the Lord as our Savior and recognizing what is important in the here and now.  The second theme is especially significant given what is to transpire during this week.
The first reading from Isaiah sets the stage and prepares us for the coming of Christ while the responsorial psalm clarifies the Lord as our Savior and our need to let go of our fears – we are safe in the arms of God:
The LORD is my light and my salvation;
whom should I fear?
The LORD is my life’s refuge;
of whom should I be afraid?
The story of Mary anointing the feet of Jesus is one that has always intrigued me.  Mary “gets it” – she understands the value of Christ in her life right there and then.  We have other readings where Mary sits at his feet and allows herself to be completely present to Jesus and soaks in his words and the gift of him.  She does not allow herself to be distracted or try to multi-task around him.  Here as she pours her precious perfume on his feet, she conveys that she recognizes the value of Christ and that honoring him is more important than riches or anything else.  Judas, of course, has some ulterior motives and is quick to chastise.
Whenever I read this passage, I have to reflect upon whether I am keeping “first things, first.”   Do I allow the busyness of the world to overshadow what is most valuable to me and my salvation?  Of course, there are commitments to be fulfilled and work to be done (especially if we wish to be paid!).  I am constantly challenged to keep my priorities in mind and to balance my life.  It is so easy for me to be all consumed with the demands of work and my profession.  I struggle at times in the choices I make and need to consciously remind myself of what is most important in the grand scheme of life.
Another theme from these readings that “haunted” me and caused me to have some angst in writing is that of forgiveness.  While that theme may seem hidden, the subtlety was there for me and kept causing me to come back to it and face it.  It is critical to me where I am at this point in my life and maybe why it kept echoing that I must address it.  All of what is to come this week and what Christ spoke of relates to forgiveness. God’s love for us is so great that he forgives us all our sins and symbolizes that love and forgiveness by giving us his only Son.  It is the underlying point of all of this – Love and Forgiveness.  I am well aware (reminded every time I pray the Our Father) that I must forgive if I am to expect forgiveness (and salvation).  It seems for me that I can more easily forgive those who directly hurt me than those who hurt the ones I love.  It is painful for me to see poor treatment of my loved ones – I feel enraged and indignant, I want to shake whoever is hurting them and tell them to stop.  Yet, I know in my heart of hearts, I must pray for the person and forgive what has transpired and continues to transpire. I can only hope that God gives me that Grace to forgive and let go.  It has been a real stress of late.  Yet the fact remains that many times (too many times) as I turn on my car radio, the song that plays is Forgiveness by Matthew West (link below):
The words haunt me and remind me that forgiveness is the bottom line and if I want the rest that I must find a way to forgive and release myself.  I will leave you with some of the words of this song (I skipped some verses because of space).
It’s the hardest thing to give away
And the last thing on your mind today
It always goes to those that don’t deserve
It’s the opposite of how you feel
When the pain they caused is just too real
It takes everything you have just to say the word…
Forgiveness, Forgiveness  . . .
Show me how to love the unlovable
Show me how to reach the unreachable
Help me now to do the impossible
Forgiveness, Forgiveness
Help me now to do the impossible
Forgiveness
It’ll clear the bitterness away
It can even set a prisoner free
There is no end to what it’s power can do
So, let it go and be amazed
By what you see through eyes of grace
The prisoner that it really frees is you
Forgiveness, Forgiveness
Forgiveness, Forgiveness  . . .
I want to finally set it free
So show me how to see what Your mercy sees
Help me now to give what You gave to me
Forgiveness, Forgiveness

25th March >> Mass Readings (Except USA)
Monday of Holy Week
(Liturgical Colour: Violet: B (2))
First Reading Isaiah 42:1-7 Here is my chosen one in whom my soul delights.
Here is my servant whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom my soul delights. I have endowed him with my spirit that he may bring true justice to the nations.
He does not cry out or shout aloud, or make his voice heard in the streets. He does not break the crushed reed, nor quench the wavering flame.
Faithfully he brings true justice; he will neither waver, nor be crushed until true justice is established on earth, for the islands are awaiting his law.
Thus says God, the Lord, he who created the heavens and spread them out, who gave shape to the earth and what comes from it, who gave breath to its people and life to the creatures that move in it:
‘I, the Lord, have called you to serve the cause of right; I have taken you by the hand and formed you; I have appointed you as covenant of the people and light of the nations,
‘to open the eyes of the blind, to free captives from prison, and those who live in darkness from the dungeon.’
The Word of the Lord
R/ Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm Psalm 26(27):1-3,13-14
R/ The Lord is my light and my help.
The Lord is my light and my help; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; before whom shall I shrink?
R/ The Lord is my light and my help.
When evil-doers draw near to devour my flesh, it is they, my enemies and foes, who stumble and fall.
R/ The Lord is my light and my help.
Though an army encamp against me my heart would not fear. Though war break out against me even then would I trust.
R/ The Lord is my light and my help.
I am sure I shall see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living. Hope in him, hold firm and take heart. Hope in the Lord!
R/ The Lord is my light and my help.
Gospel Acclamation
Praise and honour to you, Lord Jesus! Hail to you, our King! You alone have had compassion on our sins. Praise and honour to you, Lord Jesus!
Gospel John 12:1-11 'She had to keep this scent for the day of my burial'.
Six days before the Passover, Jesus went to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom he had raised from the dead. They gave a dinner for him there; Martha waited on them and Lazarus was among those at table. Mary brought in a pound of very costly ointment, pure nard, and with it anointed the feet of Jesus, wiping them with her hair; the house was full of the scent of the ointment. Then Judas Iscariot – one of his disciples, the man who was to betray him – said, ‘Why wasn’t this ointment sold for three hundred denarii, and the money given to the poor?’ He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief; he was in charge of the common fund and used to help himself to the contributions. So Jesus said, ‘Leave her alone; she had to keep this scent for the day of my burial. You have the poor with you always, you will not always have me.’
Meanwhile a large number of Jews heard that he was there and came not only on account of Jesus but also to see Lazarus whom he had raised from the dead. Then the chief priests decided to kill Lazarus as well, since it was on his account that many of the Jews were leaving them and believing in Jesus.
The Gospel of the Lord
R/ Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
