I was going to be like "pointless thing to get on my high horse about BUT I hate when you're looking at stuff online and without fail there will always be one bad review that goes 'smaller than I thought :/' when the dimensions are literally in the item description/summary" but then I decided to check our literacy level in Ireland out of curiosity (and just in case it was atrocious). And it is actually mad.

So I take it back. I'm clambering off my medium sized pony. This explains an awful lot about online interactions and many people's inability to navigate websites.

i know for a fact ive already made this post but long ago i had an idea for an app/site called like 'third wheel' or 'tagalong' where basically the premise is 'heres a bunch of group shit people do in public if you wanna come', like being a plus one for nobody. i guess meetup is similar but the idea is kinda like for spur of the moment 'outings' more than events per se, like 'hey i wanna go to the aquarium but i dont wanna go alone does anyone else wanna go' and you could be like yeah i'll TagAlong™. like platonic blind dating or something i guess. obv i figure in reality this app could be widely abused by nefarious types but in my ideal world it would be the irl equivalent of Single Rider and you could just link up with whoever. maybe make some friends. plus it could be kinda cool for semi-small or low-budget local events like farmers markets, fundraisers, block parties/cultural festivals, or back in college i did a 'zombie walk' around halloween that was kinda like a parade/short-lived larp/flash mob. like i dunno how people get invited to silly low budget things anymore cause with facebook you could just spam invites to stuff and sometimes it could become real. like raid on area 51 or azeem's flute recital would never happen today because not enough people are on one network for it to gain traction like that
