Day 10: Fursona

(So since Hecrie was already claimed as my fursona, I wasn't sure if I should really make another one. Then I had the idea to make it someone else's. A similar concept to Hecrie, just belonging to a different idea. Welcome to the Nevermade friends.) Name: Fleilo Species: Fox Personality: Cheerful, very peppy, supportive of everyone, gives great advice, acts like a mentor Summary: A long time ago, a kid had just gained access to the internet. They found a colorful land filled with weird and wild communities, but the one they were drawn to the most was the furry community. A landscape of creativity and colorful animals, the kid decided to create their first fursona: Fleilo the Fox. She was melon yellow and turquoise green, knew every lyric of the kid’s favorite songs, had amazing drawing skills, knew the coolest places to hang out, and was a pure ray of light. But the kid decided to leave Fleilo behind as they grew up and created more fursonas and ideas. That’s how Fleilo found herself in the Nevermade. Abandoned and lost to time and memory, she had now entered the afterlife for ideas. However, she did not hold it against her creator for forgetting her. Instead, she was proud of her creator for using her as a stepping stone for bigger and better things and admiring their skills as an artist. She carries that cheerful energy with her as she inspires and motivates other denizens of the Nevermade to hope for a second chance at life or even finding a new purpose in the afterlife. She was never actually given any concrete visuals but her creator imagined her enough for her to end up as a Drawnian anyways. Fleilo herself is also learning to draw so she can be like her creator.

kept having the same stress dream over and over again last night that i was going on holiday and for some reason left all my packing to the morning of and it would take hours and hours to pack my bag even though it was really small and i nevermade it to the airport on time

Also, if anyone who has read Doctor Who Magazine 233, apparently there's reference to this on that issue.

Concentric Glassware designed by Lella Vignelli in 1981. 

Sadly, this glassware, in highball and old fashioned sizes, was never produced, but we’re glad to have them well documented in the archives.  The concentric circles at the bottom of the glass mimic the waves made in water.

Bonus Day 5: Anthropomorphize Everything

(So this one is one of those prompt ideas where I had an idea for a long time but this drove me to finally solidify it. Fun fact, this is related to Tales from the Nevermade. Actually, would you guys be interested in an explanation for what tales from the Nevermade is? Let me know, I'd be happy to oblige.) Name: The Prim and Proper Collection aka Claude, Tiffany, Velveteen, Rose, and Chilly

Species: Bathtub, lamp, couch, desk, dresser, fridge

Personality: Mean, cruel, snobbish, vain, remorseless, self-centered

Summary: This is it, the big day! Clarissa K. Reepy’s new castle is just about ready to be turned into a home. First up is furniture of course. And what would a spooky castle be without some properly haunted appliances? To the chagrin of her best friend and familiar Rook, Clarissa has decided to shop local and purchase a collection of furniture selling for suspiciously cheap at a nearby yard sale. This proves to be a mistake as each piece is a nasty piece of work. Claude the clawfoot bathtub refused to get anywhere near water fearing it would rust his cast iron, Tiffany the lamp would not turn off as she wanted to be visible and noticed at all times, Velveteen the couch would not let anyone sit on him for fear of dirtying his pristine fabric, Rose threw out any clothes she deemed to be “lower class” from her drawers, and Chilly would only allow foods that wouldn’t spoil or go bad lest they dirty his insides. All of them were very mean, akin to a group of bullies. Clarissa tried to adapt to their peculiarities and meet their needs but each of them would not let up in their torment. All of them, except Velveteen. He actually liked that Clarissa honestly tried to make him happy and was genuine in her desire to befriend him. It also helped that Tiberius the skeleton dog was not only sterile and clean, but also friendly enough to break past the dour couch’s attitude. He even defended Clarissa once the others decided to gang up on her and tried to kick her out of her own castle. That show of camaraderie meant that he was the only one kept around while everyone else was sent off to a museum. Now Velveteen is just another part of the gang, albeit the grumpiest member. But Clarissa and the others know that deep down, he’s as soft as the plush inside his pillowcases.

ABC's 1982 TV Fall line up schedule included plans for a made for TV movie starring Lucille Ball and her daughter, Lucie Arnaz. Originally conceived under the working title of "Two Lucies", by the time advertising for the fall schedule came around, the title was changed to "I Never Loved My Daughter." The drama is said to be centered around the tense relationship between a daughter and her famous dying mother. Although this movie went through the initial planning phases it never saw the light of day. One can only speculate why. I'd love to see a draft script for this, assuming one exists. Bologna (Emilia). Basilica of Santa Maria dei Servi (1346). Strada Maggiore. The façade is simple, with an oculus for a rose window never made, but is surrounded by a very suggestive quadriporticus, supported by elegant marble columns and with various artistic details, partly worn by time. The portico that stretches the entire length of the church along the main road. The description of the interior is interesting (rich in works of art by author), but the church was closed and I could not visit it.
