Let’s talk about episodes 7 and 8….

Oh boy.

We got a lot to unpack.

We start with when we last finished off in episode 6.

Eva properly gets to speak with her father Madagaskan while the others are right behind her, listening intently to them.

AND MY GOD THE EXPOSITION WAS SO GOOD.

(Good for us, not for Eva tho lol)

The fact that she and Cleophee come from the most infamous assassin’s guild is WILD. You’re telling me that its members are so good at what they do that the rulers of the world buy their offers as fast as possible cuz they’re scared that the guild could ruin them if they go to the opposite team?? That just SCREAMS how important and secretive they are!! (plus we also saw a glimpse of what one of them, freaking Madagaskan, was able to do with just rocks). But it does explain why Eva has such a good eye for combat. I can also see where Cleophee takes her hair from too. From what Madagaskan has said about Eva personally, she looks identical to her mother. (I already headcanon that Cleophee took her looks from her dad instead 🥰).

But what surprised me even more was Flopin’s decision to follow Madagaskan. Not only did he want to get taught by him, but he willingly SNEAKED OUT OF THE DAMN HOUSE to go to him!

Also, can I just say how nice it is to see what Elely and Flopin’s bedrooms looked like? I love how we got a good shot of each of their rooms, it completely encapsulates their personalities and how opposite they are to each other!

Just look at how Flopin’s room looks very organized, his books are properly in their places on the bookshelves, and the amount of papers he has. Even his bed was made and you can see how he has a map of the World of Twelve plastered on the wall just on top of his desk.

Whereas with Elely, her room is completely messy, pillows and clothes are lying around the floor on the left side of the room, her bed is not made, she has a giant tapestry on her wall, some boxing equipment like her gloves and a punching bag (which she drew Poo on it lol that’s a nice detail).

But Flopin did have a point when he talked to his grandpa. We all knew he was a loser cuz Elely and Pin were doing their own thing. I mean do you remember how exhausting it was to keep seeing Elely having so much spotlight back in season 3? My girl is awesome and all but let her breathe for a second damn.

I’m glad Flopin chose that route for himself even though it was a bit of a surprise to see him want to follow Madagaskan now.

Ngl he lists out very valid points that even we were thinking about. It just shows that Flopin is very much self-aware of his position in the family and how this makes him look. I had a feeling Flopin would have his own arc but I didn’t think he’d separate himself from his family to have one! Good for him tho but still…

This means he won’t see Elely for a long time and Pin wouldn’t get to know him as much as the rest of the Percedal family….

But at least he’ll have his grandpa 😭😭

I just really loved the exposition on Nora’s part where she revealed to Yugo, Adamaï, and Qilby why and how she came to rescue their mother. The colors and the style of it all were so gorgeous and mesmerizing to stare at and it made so much sense. I also noticed how in her explanation, Nora mentioned that it was Efrim who had a special connection to the Eliatrope goddess instead of her like how it was revealed to be the case in the Wakfu volume 4 manga and the Islands of wakfu game. I assumed that Ankama retconned that tiny detail too.

I just love how realistic all the rulers’ answers have been so far. They’re all skeptical of Yugo and his family and I don’t blame them for thinking like that. It doesn’t matter how kind and helpful Yugo can be to them. As Aurora said, everything about this is too coincidental which is how Armand concluded that there could be a traitor in Yugo’s group. Again, I don’t blame him for saying that since he just got told by Yugo that the portals from the Sadida kingdom and Albuera have a portal, leading to the necrome world, that looks a lot like an eliatrope one.

And of course, Yugo doesn’t hesitate to blame Qilby and already jumps to conclusions way too fast, immediately thinking he’s the traitor since he knows he’s the type to hop from planet to planet, not caring what happens to the places he went to just as long as he got to study them.

I love this man so much 💕💕✨

But if Yugo actually took a second to process the information, he would know that there was clearly something wrong with his accusation. Because how and where would Qilby have the energy and especially the time for all that? Yugo is completely aware that Qilby got freed by their mother and Nora not a very long time ago. If I had to assume when he was freed, I’d have to say just a bit earlier when Yugo and the others were still in Oropo’s dimension.

Not only that, but since he got freed not too long ago AND was being carefully monitored by Nora, then there was no chance he could have been the traitor. He just got out of the White Dimension (again) so he’d be drained of energy and didn’t have the eliatrope dofus and the Eliacube.

But a very important thing to note here is that Qilby was also joining Nora and the small eliatropes on the missions his mother would send them in which clearly implies that he’s not done with this world yet (he could have been participating only because he was looking for the eliatrope dofus at the time when Adamaï didn’t find them first but if that was the case, then he wouldn’t have stayed and help to fend off against the necromes since he doesn’t like it when other beings pursue him and his people without, ironically, knowing where they are).

With all these in mind, it's safe to say that Yugo’s anger towards Qilby is based on personal issues.

Their fight in the sky was so well choreographed that I just loved every single second of it and how none of their poses were recycled 💖

Babyspace Regressor Fujin Who Needs Padding  Hcs

☁️ While Fujin mostly regresses to a bigger kid headspace, even Gods need baby days (a lot of baby days, let's be honest)

☁️ Especially Gods with Brothers always keeping them in check, making sure they're doing their ‘Godly Duties’ instead of being able to just dance in a flower field 🙄

☁️ Fujin first baby regressed around Raiden, so it wasn’t the scariest thing in the world, because Raiden has Babyspace watching experience, but it was a little scary being small like that for the first time

☁️ But he does really like baby regressing!! Especially after a really long, hard day of whatever duties he had to fulfill :(

☁️ Fujin found out about padding when Liu Kang started using it!

☁️ He could see how embarrassed and upset Liu was over it, so he made it his mission to do some research on his own to help him!!

☁️ He tried, key word is tried, to use padding by himself, secretly, but Raiden apparently knows everyone's business, for some reason 🙄 (also Fujin was acting suspicious and he wanted to make sure his brother was okay)

☁️ I think Fujin would either like normal padding, or maybe small clouds and such

warning: blood, blades, cannibalism, guns, death, you get the idea

Streber Apocalypse AU Headcanons (TLOU Edition)

Strength: 2/5 Endurance: 3/5 Speed: 4/5 Stealth: 5/5 Intelligence: 3/5

he lost his arm when being kidnapped by the cannibals, now he absolutely hates them and tries to get revenge on them whenever he can

he has a grudge against Bob, the butcher who tore his arm off

(I kinda see the cannibals as the eyes cult ngl)

he uses his size to his advantage a lot

he's small and fast so he escapes easily

but he's not as good at fighting, especially punching. if he gets caught in a headlock by someone he probably won’t be able to get out without help

because of this he can’t go out alone

he always has a pistol or revolver on him, since he lost his arm

strong legs though, can kick pretty hard and run fast

he’s decently good at crafting things, and patching up wounds

like if you have a gunshot wound he’ll know how to slow the bleeding but he won’t know how to fix it. he has basic knowledge

i don’t know if people with one arm can ride horses that well but he probably has to be sitting behind someone on a horse

Kevin and Streber work well together so they’re usually sent out to scout and clear out infected, Kevin is better at fighting while Streber can use distractions and such

Streber does get scared easily I bet, so if he gets jumpscared by a stalker or something he will scream and probably attract clickers or something

he can run away though, and he’s good at sneaking

stealth combat is his preferred way to go, since he’s small and can sneak past enemies easily

sometimes he dwells and thinks about how the people inside might still be trapped in there

he does carry a pocket knife with him in case of an emergency

he does stealth takeouts well too, like how Joel strangles his enemies but with a knife

he doesn’t ever try to kill people on sight and is pretty naive, but he isn’t that naive

like he doesn’t immediately trust a random group of strangers, but he may start to trust them too much

Kevin has to tell him “This group isn’t trustworthy yet, we barely know them!”

Streber probably responds with an excuse but Kevin keeps his guard up

and here is how hard different mutations of infected would be for him:

for him runners are at a medium level, like they are pretty fast like him but he can't take too many of them down on his own, especially in big groups. he mostly tries to dodge their attacks and get some distance before shooting them.

stalkers are fucking creepy, i'll say. he doesn't like them at all. they sneak up on him all the time. they are basically runners but just more sneaky.

clickers are okay, because he can sneak around them pretty well. they aren't exactly fast enough to catch him either.

bloaters he will definitely need help with, as he isn't heavily packed with molotovs or bombs, but he can dodge their attacks and deal some minor damage on them. they're very slow so he can handle them well, with company.

shamblers aren't as hard as bloaters from what i can remember, they just blow up when you kill them. so he would need some help killing one but he'd be quick enough to run away when it blows up.

human enemies are easy, as long as they haven't spotted him yet and it's not a big group. i'd say he could handle a group of 5 on his own in stealth, he watches their movements pretty well and will stab the shit out of them from behind (when no one's looking). he may not be too strong but he can drag the enemy's body far enough til it's out of sight. he can't take enemies hostage like you can in tlou, since he only has one arm.

he prefers to try and kill as many infected as he can, if he can handle it. he believes that he should try to save the environment and the next people who come by the area he's found the infected in.

his endurance level is mid, he can handle a few cuts but not too many. and if he tripped on a huge rock or something it would take him a second to recover, but then he's on his feet. he teaches himself to worry about the small things later, and worry about the big things now.

he will crack a lot of dumb jokes anytime he can. Kevin sighs and says "uh oh, here we go." he just wants to lighten the mood is all, really.

he's pretty agile, he could climb trees if he had too. maybe even some buildings.

he's good at acting, so like i said he would be good at distractions. he would try to distract some human enemies by pretending to be hurt while Kevin sneaks into a spot where he can get a good shot on them. he would only do it if he know the enemy wouldn't shoot him first thing.

he's not very strong, so if someone got hurt he wouldn't be able to carry them, but he'd try to get them to lean on him.

he might get too scared and need to take deep breaths, so just give him a second or help if he needs it

he hates being covered in blood, its not that he is disgusted by it but it's just hard to clean off and it gives him flashbacks

he tries as much as possible to use his environment to kill instead of using his knife or gun. knife spills too much blood, gun makes too much noise. drowning or bashing heads on tables is preffered.

tries to challenge himself once in awhile, but Kevin has to steer him away from the 2 shamblers he wanted to kill on his own. he doesn't want him to hurt himself, but Streber believes that he'll get better at fighting.

he used to be pretty good with a bow and arrow, however he lost his arm so he can't use it anymore unfortunately. i don't know if you can use a crossbow with one arm tho?

he'll try to avoid water as much as he can, but if he has to, he'll try to swim. swimming with one arm isn't easy when he doesnt have help, but he does know how to swim.

he wouldn't leave Kevin behind. no matter what. if he lost him, he'd do anything in his power to try and find him. even if he was left in a pit of clickers and bloaters, he would jump in just for Kevin.

if he were to be pinned by an infected (runner, stalker, or clicker) he wouldn't be able to hold it off for long, he 'd need someone to shoot it or kick the shit out of it before he would get killed. like you know how allies can get attacked by infected and there's a timer over their head? i mean like that. but Streber wouldn't be able to hold off for too long, he's not strong or anything plus he has one arm.

blunt weapons > blades. like i said, too much blood.

he would be a pretty good sniper, if he had his arm back. since he can't do close combat very well i feel he'd be at least better at being further away.

takes everything he needs and tries not to waste it. scavenges clothes or food from dead bodies when he can.

taunts a lot in battle. "Come get me, motherfucker!" is one of the things he says. not in stealth obviously, but when he's spotted he'll probably say something like that.

If your wondering where I got this idea from I was replaying the TLOU remake on ps5 and thought of this lol, tell me in requests (when they’re open) who I should do next! I'm thinking Kevin, Frank, or Lila. Probably someone should request Kevin next so I can then do a little drabble for this AU! I encourage people to request for it!

April TC Challenge!

It was so nice reading everyone's answers for this challenge! Thank you guys so much 🥺

Day 1: Happy April Fool’s! Have you ever pranked your TC; if so, how did they react?

I’ve never done it myself but we have as a class, someone once suggested that we stay absolutely silent during T’s lesson. He made us discuss in pairs and we all started writing on paper, typing on computers, using made-up sign language, etc. T got a bit frustrated and said he’d make us write an essay if we continued, which scared me because I hate seeing him upset. We got a bit scared as well and eventually all broke out in laughter (we didn't even last 10 minutes lmao), he lightened up again and said he initially wondered what he did to make us mad at him, which I thought was adorable.

Day 2: What is the earliest thing you can remember about your TC?

The first thing I remember is seeing his name on my friend’s timetable on the first day of the year he came to our school, and not knowing how to pronounce it because I’d never seen it before. I really can’t remember my first impression of him as a person, though, it was years before he started teaching me.

Day 3: Do you like your TC’s subject? Do you consider yourself to be good at it?

I do like English to an extent, I find it fascinating, and I have gotten very good at it, but none of it felt natural if that makes sense? My love for other subjects like science is intuitive and I am naturally good at it, but I had to fight really hard for English because of T.

Although I did get a top-of-the-class grade for a test some time near the end of the year before I got him as a teacher, so maybe I was already kind of decent at it, but let's just say the first half a year of being in love with T was torture because English was so hard for me.

Day 4: How do you feel about your age gap?

Ngl I have had quite a few TCs and my age gap with T is in the middle of that range. As for age gaps in general, yes I do wish we didn’t have this canyon time in between us that I could never cross, and I wish I didn’t feel so immature and like a child compared to my TCs, but it is, naturally, what gives the unique traits of these crushes. Even though I don’t love T because he is older, him being older means he is more sophisticated and wise and moral and has his life together, which I do love. These experiences wouldn’t really be what they are without the age gap, and I’m learning to sort of appreciate that.

Day 5: Have you ever said anything to your TC that showed you favoured them? Have they said anything like that to you?

Umm I guess that time when S was supporting me for an application, I actually originally asked T but he was already supporting someone else, and he later asked me if I found another teacher so I said S. He was like ah and smiled… AND I JOKED THAT S WAS "the second best choice", second to him. It was clearly a joke but I did mean it. As for the other way around, he has said before that I am one of the best in the year so there’s that.

Day 6: Have you ever noticed any small habits that they have? If so, what comes to mind first?

Spinning his pen in his hand while he's working (it’s actually very impressive to watch and very hot), biting the end of his pen, and wrapping his leg around the table leg sometimes when he's sitting on top of one of the empty tables.

Day 7: What gift would you really like to be able to give them, regardless of if it’s realistic or not?

Before I knew he was leaving this year I wanted to give him a collection of poems I had written for him when I graduate, since he has helped me in my poetry writing, but now that can’t happen. I would also love to give him something related to any texts he taught us in English but ik it won’t mean as much to him as it does to me.

Day 8: Does your TC ever talk about what it was like when they were still a student?

Yes, T likes to incorporate his own experiences into his teaching which I absolutely love. He often mentioned not being good at science subjects back in school, which is a bit sad because I like the sciences and I am good at it, but it’s also cute to think that there are things he doesn’t know or can’t do. I also just love being reminded that he is still a real person, with real relationships and real pasts.

Day 9: Does your TC have a significant other? If so, what do you know about them and how do you feel about them?

Okay I might have written this question just to gush about S oops-

T and S really have a beautiful relationship, I love seeing them together (she teaches at our school too btw in case anyone hasn’t heard me gushing about her). S and I basically have the same first name, so I think she was always aware of my existence even though she didn’t teach our class a lot. We got to an actual 'know each other' stage a year ago, since then I would greet her if I see her around school and hope she remembers me. Then there was the application she helped me with some months ago, which really got us closer and she gave me so much support.

S is such an inspiration to me, she is so strong and so kind, and she stands for a lot of the things I believe in. I haven’t seen her in forever since we’re online or talked, I'm afraid I might never see her again :,(

Day 10: What is the longest time you have gone without seeing them?

If online learning doesn’t count as "seeing them", then it would be the online learning period when the pandemic first broke out in 2020. If we don’t go back to school soon, then this will be the longest, which absolutely sucks since it’s so close to T leaving.

Day 11: What do other people usually think about them?

People who have never been taught by him find him a bit scary (as I also did in the past), but his students usually really like him as a teacher and we all recognise how well he teaches - a bit too much that I can get jealous sometimes lol.

Day 12: Do you often make up excuses to speak to them? What kinds of excuses do you like to use?

Lmaoo all the time, it’s usually asking for help on English or the essay he’s mentoring me on or poetry and stuff. I get ENTJ vibes based on the break down of the four categories, but some of the general traits attributed to ENTJs don’t fit. Maybe ESTJ.

As for Houses, he said himself that he’s probably a Ravenclaw with some Gryffindor, which was exactly what I had guessed before asking him that question (so proud smh).

Day 16: If you could go back in time and choose, would you still choose to develop feelings for your TC?

Definitely. This journey hasn’t been easy at all (especially now) but it is so rewarding. I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. I wouldn't even know what I would spend all my waking daylight thinking about if I wasn't in love with T that'd be so boring.

Day 17: If it was the last time you would ever be able to see your TC, what is one thing you would never leave without saying to them?

It feels terrible to answer this when the exact scenario is going to happen in two months… I have been vaguely planning out what I would say to T on the last day (debated over confessing or not), and as of now I just want to tell him how important he is to me and how much I admire him as a teacher, how much he has impacted my life, etc. etc. I need him to know that he matters to me.

It hurts a hundred times worse that all of this is contingent on us being able to return to school before the summer; I might not be able to see him again for the last time.

Day 18: When was the first time you cried because of them?

I must have mentioned before that I first realised he was a TC to me when he took us on a school trip abroad? We returned really late at night and were on the bus back from the airport, I sat quite close to his seat so I could see him, and I cried in the dark knowing that it was all going to be over soon. I still miss that trip to this day :,\

Day 19: How well do you think you know them?

I’m pretty good at remembering things about him and he has told us and revealed to us a lot in the past two and a half years, so I would say I know him quite well. Still not really on a personal level, though.

Day 20: Do you ever lie to them? About what?

We rarely talk about things that would require me to lie to him? Like I’ve never missed any work so I never had to make excuses, and he never questions things that might have been suspicious because of my feelings. The only time I could think of is when he was helping with my poetry writing and I was writing a poem for S - I had to say it was inspired by a TV show because I was using female pronouns lol. 

Day 21: What is the longest time you have spent together with them?

That day when we came back from the school trip he took us on - the day after I realised I liked him, I was around him for almost the entire day (12+ hours) and it was so nice ;-;

What I actually had in mind while writing this question though was a year ago today, we were in school and I spent four hours with him to help lead an event for his after school activity. We felt more like equals then and I loved feeling like he trusted and relied on me. How can it be a year already???

Day 22: If you have had other TCs in the past (or right now), how are they similar to or different from your current (or primary) TC?

I have a lot of ex-TCs so I’ll write about my current ones… Obviously there’s S, his wife, and surprisingly they’re actually quite different people? I love hearing about their differences and at the same time being reminded of how in love they are. They do share a common interest in sport (among other things of course) and similar values.

L and K are both quite different to T; L mostly because of the subjects she teaches and her bold, vibrant energy, and K mostly because of his sensitive nature and dramatic personality. T is never as strict or unpredictable as K and K is never as commanding and organised, but their subjects do overlap considerably and T sometimes teaches us terminology I learnt from K.

Day 23: Have you ever seen your TC in clothes they don’t usually wear? Casual clothes if they usually wear formal attire or the other way around?

T always wore suits in school, even in online learning. We had a few non-uniform days in the past when T would dress in casual clothes, and I always loved it because he looked so real - a normal, alive human being just like us. I have also bumped into him outside of school a few times and seen him in his own clothes. On days with sporting events (and, this year, every week on the day he taught us phys ed) he would wear our school's uniforms for phys ed teachers. I especially love seeing him in a particular blue hoodie, it makes him look about ten years younger 🥰

Day 24: When was the last time they made your heart thump?

On Friday when I was waiting for our one-on-one conversations about my progress in English. For some reason, the anticipation is always worse online, it was this way when I was waiting for results, for our meetings about my essay, even for normal English lessons. I was so nervous that time, and, it turned out, rightly so (see last update). But to be honest, any time I see him makes my heart beat.

Day 25: How do you think your TC would react if you confided in them when you felt sad or stressed or anxious?

I wonder about this all the time, especially after I confided in my ex-TC about my bad mental health (almost two years ago now). I am so tempted to find out with T, but whenever I get near that point something about his behaviour makes me think he won't react the way I want him to. Especially now that we are online, it is frustratingly hard. I imagine him being gentle and reassuring me and telling me that he believes in me, that he recognises my hard work and that I have always been good enough :,(

Day 26: What is the best dream you have had of them?

The most intimate dream I had was of T and I sitting side by side on a table, and his arm was surrounding my waist and I was leaning into him. I have also dreamt of holding his hand or him confessing to me (*cringes*). Sometimes it would be quite elaborate, us spending a lot of time together because of a school event or something, and those dreams are also really nice.

Day 27: What is the saddest/scariest dream you have had of them?

I have a lot more of these... Dreaming of him leaving usually hurts the most because I know it will happen soon. The scariest is probably that time when I dreamt that he was kidnapped and was going to die unless we find him in a very short time? The fear of losing him was very real. And then I performed an autopsy on him and held his heart in my hands lmao.

Day 28: Does your TC ever bring you up to other students/teachers that you know of?

Another English teacher told me that T would sometimes show her my essays because they were some of the best in our year group 🥰 There was also when T gave me a really special English award and the teacher who oversaw our year group came to congratulate me, saying T had mentioned it to him and had said that I was one of the best students he had ever taught. I am bawling from that memory.

Day 29: Do you see them as being a romantic person? Are you?

I am a very helpless romantic (as evident in this blog lmao) and I get the feeling that T is quite romantic as well. Not as badly as I am, of course, he is very much realistic and composed and mature, but just in the most everyday details. I feel so sure that he would do small gestures for S, arrange a surprise for her every now and then, value her above most other things, go out of his way to be around her,,

Day 30: How have they changed since you two first met? How have you changed?

I don't remember as much about T from when he first started teaching me, even less from when he first came to the school. In general, I think he has gotten much more comfortable with our class, and he is more assertive as a person and more involved in things within the school. As for me, apart from obviously being two years older and hopefully more mature/less obnoxious, loving T for this long has really led me to take joy in fighting for someone and be even more reliant on academic validation. I am more aware of my feelings because I grapple with them every day, and T has reinforced a lot of the values I held but wasn't as aware of. I've loved this journey so much I cannot believe it is coming to an end soon.

So this one is up first ‘cause it’s a song about being dissatisfied with where you live, wanting to leave and go somewhere else, etc etc. I saw that kind of dissatisfaction in Jared a lot through his statement in MAG 131, where he talks about not doing well in school or really seeing a future for himself, as well as Sebastian’s comment in MAG 17 about Jared thinking Sebastian leaving him there was “something of a betrayal.” (Though I know this song is more small town/country and Chiswick seems like a pretty bustling area lmao so the vibes aren’t exact)

2. Be Nice To Me - The Front Bottoms

So this song is perhaps The Jared Song Ever. It’s just *chefs kiss* perfect. Like the accidental (or purposeful) destruction of self to fit a narrative assigned to you so that you inevitably become a self-fulfilling prophecy?? How that behaviour ends up destroying good relationships and pushing people away but you’re in too deep to really reverse course??? It makes me think about Jared and Sebastian’s friendship breaking down as they grow apart and change as people but still aren’t able to fully rid themselves of like. That childish fondness you still have for your old friends. (You’re gonna find I have a lot of thoughts and feelings about Sebastian Adekoya also)

Once again I am thinking about Jared becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy of anger and acting out and not being able to stop it.

I have a lot of thoughts about Jared’s parents honestly, particularly his dad, most of which are me projecting. I won’t get into too much of that mess however I do think about the bit from MAG 131 where Jared says “But they were scared, and that felt good, even back then. It felt right. My Dad was proud of it too. He was a short man, bully, and watching me loom over people really made him happy.” And I think about Jared simultaneously having a strained relationship with his father while also doing everything he could to make him proud, even if that meant being just as much of a bully as him.

5. Days - The Drums

We’re circling back around to his relationship with Sebastian with this one. I think as dismissive as Jared is when addressing Sebastian in his statement during 131, Jared had kind of grown to depend on him for a lot, emotionally speaking. Kind of the break when you’re talking about someone’s only real friend growing up. The song itself is pretty upbeat so I’m reaching a little, (and I’ll reach pretty far ngl) but I do think about Jared feeling like he’s finally lost the only person that actually cared about him when Sebastian leaves for uni, so now he’s got to go it alone and abandon that childhood friendship.

6. Brave as a Noun - AJJ

Ngl I think about “And God knows I could make amends, But I’ve got an angry heart”, in relation to Jared realizing he’s tearing apart the one good friendship he ever while simultaneously not knowing how to Not Do That so often. I firmly believe that Jared and Sebastian actually legitimately cared about each other, but Jared was heading in a direction Sebastian couldn’t save him from and it ended up destroying their friendship.

Surprise surprise I am talking to you about Jared and Sebastian’s friendship once again with this one. This ones a bit of a “I’m reaching/it’s really just one lyric” sort of song but I think the vibe is good for them.

This bit in particular makes me think about like. Jared in the process of realizing that the way he’s turned out is driving away his best friend, but he doesn’t have any sort of identity outside of being a general menace. This is all he’s got, and he’s sticking with it, but he also doesn’t want to lose Sebastian. So this turns into him seeking Sebastian out to be a menace to him directly cause it’s the only way he knows how to connect with people anymore.

8. What Can I Do If the Fire Goes Out? - Gang of Youths

This song is part of my agenda to get more people to listen to the rest of this album besides Achilles Come Down (ironically also on this playlist but we’ll get to that later.) Anyway stream Go Farther In Lightness. But REALLY this song is about abandonment, and Jared is just. Rife with abandonment issues. We know this, we love him, maybe go to therapy king <3

Anyway struggling to maintain connections but ultimately losing them or questioning whether or not you really needed them in the first place really fits in well with him I think.

9. Garden Song - Phoebe Bridgers

Ohhhh the passage of time and dwelling on old wounds that are healed over but not forgotten, just made peace with. Plus it’s about gardens and growth and if you’ve read any of my other long winded “I’m very emotional about Jared rn” posts you’ll know I have BIG feelings about Jared’s domain being a garden. I’ll spare you that whole emotional rollercoaster here but personally I think Jared can have,,,, a little healing. Not that I’m projecting very hard onto this monster man or anything but I think the implications of him “growing” things in the end speaks for itself.

10. Misery Fell - Tally Hall

This song is in here for Sebastian! Honestly I’ve fleshed out Sebastian’s character a lot purely based on my own unhinged headcanoning, so this one especially might seem like a reach since it’s mostly based on my own interpretation of a character we only get a single statement from. But I think this song’s story about a town with a unique relationship with books and knowledge and an outside force that changes that relationship very suddenly fits well for him.

11. Bad Habits - FIDLAR

This one is really just what it says on the tin, it’s a song about bad habits and why someone might engage in them, how they can provide comfort despite their unhealthiness and prove themselves to be really hard to break. And it’s got that extra flavour of being scared/uncertain about your future that I think informs a lot of Jared’s character. Plus I think I could see Jared liking this song in-fiction truthfully.

12. I Wanna Get Better - Bleachers

Okay so this song in particular is entirely my very specific interpretation of Jared’s character that is,,, mostly projection. Look, I know what canon says but We’re Not Looking At Canon right now. And in my heart of hearts I think Jared did have the capacity to heal and get better, and because I think writing him off as something purely evil and inhuman does a disservice to the character. So this song is mostly *recognition of self through the other* from one former big angry teenager (me) to another (fictional) former big angry teenager.

13. Trouble - Cage The Elephant

This one is also mostly vibes based but it’s got a weariness to it that I associate a lot with s5 Jared. Like if we think about it— Jared is in his forties or thereabouts by the time MAG171 rolls around. There was a lot of violence and acting out and physicality to most of his earlier appearances that aren’t really reflected in 171. He does threaten to try and get a “few good hits in” when Jon shows up to smite him, but think about how quickly he lets go of that?? I’ve mentioned this in other posts but I genuinely don’t think that earlier seasons Jared would’ve backed down in that situation, even if he knew he’d lose, which just goes to show how much he’s changed by the time s5 rolls around.

14. Skeleton Appreciation Day - Will Wood and the Tapeworms

This one just feels very Fleshcore honestly, both with the focus being on bones and also the theme of body image/intimacy issues. Like I love the butcher aesthetic believe me, (just look at my main TMA oc lmao) but sometimes I think people forget the other areas and fears that the Flesh extends to. But that’s a whole other post honestly I could talk about how reductive the fandom gets with the Flesh just as much as I could talk about how reductive they are with Jared LMAO

This song was given to me by a mutual (hi Calvin if you’re reading this) and OH the toxic masculinity hurting inward as much as it does outward and how that reflects in Jared’s character is just.... so fitting. Like I think on the surface level most people get that Jared’s character is informed a lot by toxic masculinity and how it’s taught and learned and ultimately rewarded and encouraged. Jared learns from his father that it’s good to be strong and mean, good to put others beneath you. He’s rewarded for being like that to the point where when that strength stops serving him he doesn’t really have any other place in the world, which ultimately makes him a perfect candidate for the Boneturner’s Tale.

17. Achilles Come Down - Gang of Youths

Ik for a few weeks there this was everyone’s blorbo from my shows song (and rightly so, it fucks, once again listen to the whole album I am BEGGING—) but I think it fits Jared well bc of the self-destructive tendencies and hopelessness on display here. Jared said it himself in MAG131, he couldn’t see a future for himself, he was just acting out bc that’s all he had left. The one person who he thought actually cared about him (in his eyes) betrayed him and left him behind too. And I like this song bc it’s being sung from the perspective of someone trying to prevent Achilles from jumping. Makes me think about how Sebastian very well could have done his best to keep Jared on a good path, keep their friendship together, but ultimately there comes a time where the strain is too much, and you have to let a person go.

This is. The MAG17 song. This Is It. Jared’s mom is another character I think a lot about, but that shouldn’t be surprising at this point if you’ve actually made it this far into this post. I think she was as much a victim of Jared’s father’s “bullying” as Jared was, and based on Jared’s recollection of her I don’t think she took a very active role in making sure Jared was protected from that. But I think people forget that she was one of— if not the first people we know Jared tested his powers on. And I think often about how she saw what this book was doing to her son and the monster it was turning him into and she STILL somehow managed to get it away from him to return it to the library. She ultimately tried to protect her kid from what the Boneturner’s Tale was doing to him. Also this bit??? This bit at the end??????

Is this Jared talking about Sebastian leaving him? Is this Sebastian in the years that follow Jared’s disappearance wrestling with the guilt of bringing the Boneturner’s Tale to him and hating it for taking his friend away before they could even attempt to reconcile their friendship? Either way I’m distraught!

19. I Guess It Could Be Looked at as an Escape, or as a Chance to Start Over - Flatsound

So this song doesn’t have any words, but from title and vibes alone I thought it followed song 18 really well. Because if you think about what the Boneturner’s Take offered Jared it *could* be looked at as an escape or a chance to start over. It was the lifeline he needed to escape what he was certain would be a bitter and miserable existence, though of course it didn’t come without cost, so the melancholic and lonely sound of the song itself reflects that really well.

If there was one great thing about being in a relationship with Yu and Yosuke, it was the cuddles! In almost every cuddling session, you could feel nothing but love and passion. And it was something you always loved. 

Usually, the reasons for initiating cuddle sessions are the same. Either someone has had a bad day, they need affection, etc. But either way, they are still great! 

Out of Yu and Yosuke, it was mainly Yosuke who brings up cuddle sessions. It is because he can be the more clingy one of the relationship. 

Yosuke will walk up behind you and wrap his arms around your waist to see if he can get a reaction out of you. If you don’t react, though, he will start whining about how he wants to cuddle you. Eventually, you would have to give in because you cannot resist Yosuke. 

When it comes to Yu, he can be clingy on a few occasions (not as often as Yosuke, though). Whenever that happens, he does not try to give you signs that he wants you to cuddle him. Instead, this man will (somehow) be able to pull you into his lap (with you straddling him, by the way!). 

In the cuddle pile, Yosuke and Yu will always insist on having you be in the middle of them. Even if you say that they do not have to do that, they won’t back down. 

If you are shorter than Yu and Yosuke, then you will bury your face in either one of their chests. If you’re taller than both of them, they won’t mind burying their face in your chest (and one of them will bury their face in your back if you’re facing away from them). 

I’m telling you, YU AND YOSUKE WILL TREAT YOU LIKE ABSOLUTE ROYALTY DURING CUDDLE SESSIONS! The boys will run their fingers through your hair and whisper sweet nothings in your ear. It always makes you feel better, especially whenever you’ve had a bad day and just needed something nice to hear. If Yu’s facing your back, he will give you soft kisses on your neck. 

In the case you end up falling asleep during a cuddle session, Yu and Yosuke will look at you with just the SOFTEST looks on their faces. When they look up at each other, they both mentally agree that they are lucky to have met such a wonderful guy like you. And eventually, Yu and Yosuke end up falling asleep alongside you, their arms wrapped around you.

All three of you will back down on hangout situations with the Investigation Team, so you can spend the day cuddling. At first, no one else on the team questions you. Although Chie, Rise, and Teddie have been suspicious lately. You can’t ever forget them giving you a raised-eyebrow look whenever either you, Yosuke, or Yu say that you’re busy and wouldn’t be able to make it. 

There was the (unfortunate) time where Teddie somehow found all three of you cuddling. And oh boy, when Yosuke caught him, he was not a happy camper. You could never forget him chasing Teddie around, even though you tried to pull him back (unless you got mad like Yosuke, then the both of you would be chasing Teddie together). Meanwhile, Yu just watched the scene, although there was a look of annoyance on his face. 

But overall, cuddling with Yu and Yosuke is a great experience. Like I mentioned before, it’s one of the best things that you could ever get out of the relationship, and you trade anything in the world to get cuddles from your men.

Okay. So this is like, the funniest prompt that I found, wrote a bit for, and forgot about. I wrote it for a different fandom, and then thought "Organization XIII would be funny for this..." Org. XIII is turned into children and now the Reader has to (make sure they don't die) take care of them. Ages like... 4-9 because that's when children are the funniest. Do what you will with it

anyway here’s some HCs as to how they’d act and stuff !

Xemnas :

One of the oldest kids, but you don’t really know what to make of him. You were expecting Xemnas to still lead the rest, scare them into submission with a simple glare or something - turns out he’s rather timid. Barely speaks, you get the feeling he’s ignoring you on purpose, just makes a lot of faces and noises to indicate what he’s feeling. 

Somewhat clingy too, but unlike Demyx and Xigbar who want to get your attention through any means possible, Xemnas just grabs onto the hem of your shirt and follows you everywhere in silence. Doesn’t cause much trouble, but he doesn’t help you keep the others in check either, a true neutral I guess. 

Sometimes, he will just disappear and show up whenever you least expect him. Loves to climb and sit on tall places. Spaces out a lot. Compared to the rest, you can probably leave him to his own devices, as long as he’s not left alone with Xigbar or Larxene. 

Xigbar :

Actually the oldest, but pretty annoying and high maintenance. If he got on your nerves as his regular self, then you’re in for a fucking ride - this Xigbar is here to cause problems on purpose. He likes to talk, a lot. And it’s sucks because it’s usually endless and mindless chatter or pointing out everything that he sees. 

If he starts to get bored, he’ll scurry off to bother someone else, but it usually ends with someone crying or hurt. Don’t even bother keeping him on a leash, the bastard is too smart to be contained. 

Xigbar is one of those kids that can be extremely useful if you get him on your side, as he has no problem snitching and ratting out the others. The best way to keep him from losing his other eye or gouging out someone else’s is to bribe or trick him into helping you (just know that he can also be bribed by the other kids, Xigbar WILL betray you). 

Xaldin :

You expected Zexion to be the loner type, but turns out it’s Xaldin - he’ll always be on his own or avoiding the others, usually around the kitchen since you’ve banned everyone from going in there until they return to normal (not that they listen to you, but oh well). 

Xaldin is pretty much like those kids who hate being treated like kids and who pretend to be above the rest. While he might seem calm, it’s really easy to get him riled up, a simple “I bet you can’t do this or that” and he’s off to prove himself. 

Oddly enough, he gets jealous easily - if you give Roxas a cookie or whatever for behaving, then you GOTTA give Xaldin one too or else he’ll throw a fit. The best thing you can do with him is be honest and confess that you need him to chill the fuck out and Not Die :tm: while you take care of the others, he’ll feel all grown up because you told him the truth and will calmly stay in his room. 

Vexen :

One of the oldest kids, the stereotypical kid who only has ONE interest and won’t shut the fuck up about it, which is cute but not everyone has the patience to sit through a 6 hour talk about dinosaurs. You never expected this baby Vexen to be so into dinosaurs out of all things. Of course, just because he only talks about them, doesn’t mean he’s not curious about all that shiny lab equipment. 

You can’t keep him distracted with dinosaur books all day, he still has the heart and mind of a scientist ! Because he’s a very obvious nerd, he’s the target for a lot of members in the organization, namely Larxene - and when Vexen gets flustered or frustrated, he freezes up. Literally. He WILL freeze the entire room too.

Your best bet is to pair him up with Zexion or Xion, since they’ll gladly sit down to listen and learn. The three will gladly stay locked up in the library learning and reading. You just gotta hope Vexen doesn’t instantly crush Zexion and Xion’s dreams by ruining their fairytales with facts and logic.

Lexaeus : 

Also one of the older kids and the tallest too. This Lexaeus is just as stoic and intimidating as the original, but apparently he’s also very sensitive. Everytime he speaks to you it sounds like he might be about to cry. But he looks fine ? So you really don’t know what to do about him. 

Either way, Lexaeus is also very helpful and responsible, so you can trust him to watch over the rowdy kids and keep them relatively safe, just try not to pair him with the suuuper loud ones. 

Probably the type to take the blame and responsibility for any pranks gone wrong under his watch, even if you fully know there’s no way he’s responsible. Lexaeus is the epitome of “I just want everyone to get along”. Somehow, he’s very gentle with the others (as gentle as one can be when straight up dragging Xigbar out of the ventilation system) but he’ll break any toys and other items given to him.

Zexion :

Zexion is very very small, so you can probably understand the stress he’s going through, surrounded by these animals. Like Xemnas and Demyx, he’d be pretty clingy but he wouldn’t be able to follow you around or cling to you with all the others pushing and fighting around. 

So you can either just carry him on your shoulders or leave him with Lexaeus or Vexen as mentioned before. If not, Zexion will wander and either fall asleep in the Grey Area or find the library on his own. 

Not a problematic child, really. Zexion lacks the energy and the feralness to join any shenanigans - he's also smart enough to know that he’ll be better off listening to you and staying clear out of safety hazards. Though there’s always the chance of other members taking advantage of Zexion’s naive and curious nature.

Saix :

You were expecting him to be a tiny version of his regular self, bitter and strict. Surprisingly, he’s way more fun as a kid, glued to Axel by the hip too. They’re the duo you should look out for - Axel is the one who gets them in trouble and Saix is the one who makes sure you never notice they were behind it all. 

The one with a TERRIBLE temper right after waking up. Saix won’t hesitate to bite and claw anyone who tries to wake him up, even Axel knows better than to try. If it’s nap time, let him go, don’t even try to stop him. Don’t let anyone else near him.

Other than that ? A very nice kid in general, he feels a sense of responsibility when it comes to the younger members, so he’ll be the one to keep Axel in check whenever Zexion, Roxas or Xion are around. As for the older ones ? They’re on their own.  

Axel :

Axel is the first one to say “fuck” and it spreads like wildfire. So if you start hearing a bunch of kids swear at the top of their lungs, you know who caused it. You’ll also know because you’ll find him laughing and wheezing on the ground. 

Somewhat naive, if you tell him he can’t say “invertebrae” because it’s a swear world, he’ll believe you. But SURPRISINGLY he’s very aware of how dangerous his fire powers are - like, Axel wants to cause trouble on purpose, but he doesn’t really want anything to escalate and get anyone actually hurt. Unless it’s Vexen. If it’s Vexen, then it’s fine by him. 

You might hear “Y/N, LOOK” before seeing Axel in the kitchen casting fucking Firaga on a bag of Totinos or something. He and Demyx somehow keep getting targeted by the Dusks, who love to play pranks on them. 

Demyx :

Most likely to eat food off the ground, or anything shiny and colorful, really. He has the exact same vibes as the little brother who likes to follow people he thinks are cool to try and impress them, just to be considered a cool kid too. 

Demyx is very clingy but also a sneaky kid, he can easily cry his heart out so you’ll pay attention and protect him from people he’s pissed off. This is literally why most of the kids don’t like to be around him, cause he’s THAT kid who will ruin everyone’s funs by calling the responsible adult if he gets upset.

Instead of being musically inclined, Demyx just makes a lot of noise - constant loud humming, blowing raspberries, stomping his feet or tapping/hitting things, repeating funny noises or phrases he picks up. Probably has an old ass iPod or an MP3 you can distract him with.

Luxord :

DO YOU KNOW THOSE LITTLE KIDS WHO ARE SMARTASSES ? The ones who act like they know the mysteries of the world and give you a look of superiority because you clearly don’t know what tubby custard really is ? Yeah, that’s Luxord.

Full of fun facts that he LOVES to brag about, but most of them are fake and he’s none the wiser. You cannot correct him either because it’ll be like telling an 8 year old that Santa isn’t real. Thankfully, you don’t HAVE to correct him because that’s what Xaldin is for. 

Most likely to steal Xigbar’s eyepatch for himself and somehow convince everyone else that it was HIS eyepatch in the first place. How ? We don’t know, we just don’t know. Also Luxord might just steal little trinkets from everyone and stash them under his bed like the little creacher he is. If you can’t find your keys, you know who’s got em.

Marluxia :

A natural big brother figure. Very understanding too, even if you’ve heard from Larxene that he’s tired of everyone pulling his hair and that he might shave it all off just so they all stop. Yeah, there’s some lingering resentment in there. He’s 50/50 on being a little bastard and an angel.

Marluxia volunteers to help you take care of the other kids, mostly because he likes bossing others around and because he also likes reading books to Zexion and Xion so they fall asleep. 

LOVES to leave trails of petals and flowers wherever he goes, but REFUSES to clean up. Always seen with Larxene - Marluxia is also lowkey competitive so he sees the Axel + Saix duo as rivals. In what, exactly ? Who knows. VERY picky with food too. Actually, just very picky and petty in general.

Larxene :

The one kid who develops a personal vendetta against you from day 1. Larxene DESPISES being told what to do, so if you’re constantly telling her not to do this, to do that and whatever, she will make your life a living hell and do the opposite out of spite. 

You didn’t hear this from me, but Larxene is GENUINELY upset that she keeps accidentally zapping people whenever she plays with them. It’s really hard for her to apologize too, so you’ll have to step in a lot to de-escalate the situation.

Larxene sticks forks in outlets JUST to scare others, since she cannot get hurt at all by electricity. She just seems to enjoy making others afraid.

Roxas :

One of the youngest, Roxas doesn’t KNOW what “using your indoor voice” means, he’s either DEAD quiet or SCREAMING about how he’d like to have ice cream as a treat, please and thank you. It’s really fucking funny to see honestly. Just make sure he doesn’t sneak up on you and scare you shitless.

The type who gets dragged into shenanigans rather than cause them - he’s a very neutral and calm kid otherwise. The worst thing he can do is just steal everyone’s dessert or something because of that intense sweet tooth he’s got.

A lot of the older kids LOVE trying to get him and Xion to laugh, because Roxas has this permanent poker face AND because they both have really funny snort giggle laughs. 

Xion : 

Also one of the youngest, very sweet, patient and polite ! Xion also tends to be very clingy, always needing to hold hands with someone whenever she walks around Castle Oblivion. No one has the heart to tell her no, either.

Can get VERY VERY irritating and angry when someone tries to make fun of her or Roxas. Like a little hurricane of puppies - Xion won’t stop pestering all the meanies until she’s received a proper apology. If she somehow ends up hurting someone, she’ll insist on making up too.

Xion also tends to copy people she likes, similar to Demyx. You might catch her imitating your movements or way of speaking, or even copying the Dusks’ movements - but just make sure she doesn’t see you, Xion will explode out of embarrassment.

it wasnt really a school day since it was mostly for third years and the whole ceremony but kouhais could come so they could send off their senpais

you were sobbing already when you saw your captain walk up and get his tube with the diploma inside

they tried to remain strong as they sat in their seats but a single glance at you and the team at the stands above, the tears were already either forming or full out slipping

then you reached to your tippy toes and kissed his nose then leaned back with a big smile

you mumbled and oikawa hiccuped then leaned his forehead against yours, eyes clashing that was so full of love and fear

yes theyve called and messaged but there wasnt a normal kind of communication, especially with oikawa

but they decided to go over there during a simultaneous week break for universities in tokyo and iwa, makki, and mattsun pressured oikawa to fly back to japan just for a week to visit

‘iwa-chan im so broke righ-’

they agreed to not tell anyone, even coach, to surprise you all and to see your faces of surprise bc mattsuhana are little shites and they love to mess around

it was a normal day during practice

yahaba was teaching some first years how to serve while watari was giving exercising tips on how to bend their knees without shrieking in athritis

kyotani was doing jump serves while kindaichi and kunimi tried to block him

it was a normal day

the former third years knew the ins and outs of the place and oikawa still had his keys of the gym since he never gave it back so they were easily able to sneak in

they sat on the bleachers and observed everyones growth which really blew them away and took them aback by how much they improved in little time

like kunimis actually huffing and throwing a mini tantrum bc hes so into it and hes mad he didnt get that block right

they also noticed the larger amount of new recruits and based on their practice, it looks like they would be in good hands for the next few years

however, the true shock settled in when this happened

kyotani cursed loudly when the ball hit out but yahaba scolded him for saying a bad word in front of the first years

‘kyotani, dont say that anymore! its not good to teach the babies bad words!’

he ranted and the college boys shared a look of caution and fear, bracing themselves for kyotani’s normal screaming and tantrum for being called out

but they were the most surprised when the bleach-haired boy simply glared at him and turned away to go pick up another ball to hit

‘did,,,, did kyoken-chan-’

‘was he just calm right now?’

‘oh my god iwa-chan kyoken-chan got abducted by aliens!’

yahaba urged and coach and naoi shared a look of initial shock but then transformed into happiness

it was nice to see the family together again

they quickly turned into a dog pile with the hugs that were given around like kyotani actually giving iwaizumi a hug and makki and mattsun affectionately ruffling everyone’s hair

the other first years were just staring in awe at the legendary third years of seijoh that theyve heard so much about

yahaba presented and the 3 third years became very flustered but ofc attention whore oikawa soaked it up

‘yes, hello, my little disciples! you are my legacy so work har- IWA-CHAN!’

he was cut into his famous line when his best friend bonked him for being too self-absorbed again

‘waaa, l/n-senpai was right’

some first year mumbled at the scene and their ears perked up at the name

‘l/n?’

oikawa shouted and looked around

mattsun doesnt have control so he ran forward and you were just putting the crate down when you were lifted off of the floor and twirled around

so like yahaba waved off the others to go back to practice so its like not awkward to be standing around and see this happening

there was only one person who did this to you

‘mattsun-san?!’

you shrieked and you giggled happily as he put you down so you were able to hug him properly and eventually, catching sight on the others behind him

your gasp made them smile widely and you pressed a hand to your mouth to hide the shock and your overjoyed laugh

if they could take a picture of this and remember the amount of love your eyes held and the pure unfiltered happiness that swirled in those orbs

it was like they felt themselves falling in love with you all over again

‘oh my god everyone’s here too!’

you ran to them and jumped at the awaiting arms of iwaizumi and he was still the bara arm babie you remembered

‘i missed you, doll’

he whispered

‘hmmm,,,i missed you more’

he let you go and you skipped over to makki who engulfed you in his arms and you felt his soft brown hair because you remembered he loved it when you ran your fingers through his hair

he exclaimed and you giggled, bashful at his compliment

he gave you a deadpan look and you chuckled before scurrying away towards the one you wanted to hug the most

he definitely got more toned and he got taller too

after he was done fighting the destroyer, you ran to give him a hug

which upset your mom a good bit, you had to help her through that episode. lots of sitting on the couch and eating ice cream together talking about how he wasn’t worth her time even tho you missed him too

but he came back! and then your mom sent everything flying bc she had an “infinity stone” inside her and thor took you two to asgard

tbh you really digged the outfit they gave you, but also you were on another planet? thor insisted on giving you a tour (by flying you around)

but asgard got attacked and you and jane were confined to a room in the palace, which sucked because you wanted to see it all

but thor sent guards to bring you anything to keep you entertained

after several events that count as child endangerment, this chapter came to an end and your mom and thor finally made it official

loki called you a rodent and then saved your life so you were kinda iffy about him

about a year or two later, your mom had to travel a great deal in order to get some work done, so you were left in the care of thor, who took you to avengers tower

“oh, my girlfriend’s child is an angel! and they’re so intelligent, just like their mother!” -thor gushing to other partygoers

“yeah, thor, your ‘angel’ is sneaking drinks from the elderly” -tony

*sipping his beer* “they’re a growing teenager”

you did have an amazing time interacting with the avengers

and once they tried grabbing the hammer, you knew you had to get in on it (but you failed like the rest)

thor wanted to teach you battle tactics so you could fight alongside him, but he never got around to it

a raccoon and bruce banner visited later on, proposing a way to get your family back, thor was an emotional wreck

his debriefing on the reality stone was tense when he started crying about your mom and everyone stared at you

ending up waiting 1 second for the avengers to come back from their mission, resulting in you being stuck in the middle of a very heavy battle

ipytm ep 3 (thoughts + spoilers)

this is going to be a tough post for me to do bc honestly...this ep just left me feeling so run down. i know that the cast and crew have always strived for realism and authenticity with this series, but this one was just a lot to take in :/ my thoughts are gonna be even more all over the place than usual but idec at this point. having to rewatch this ep again is really fucking hard (even harder than itsay ep 4 bc even though that makes my heart ache, i still feel some sense of satisfaction from the development we get...this just leaves me feeling defeated in every way).

you know the drill: not an analysis, just me ranting as usual bc free therapy (and boy do i need it after this one)!! i had so many feelings watching this ep (esp towards teh but what’s new), so here goes.

we begin with the drama students rehearsing for jai’s new play, and the introduction of the plum wine which will be the recurring motif in this whole ep. the use of the plum wine in this also kind of reminds me of how teh initially disliked coconuts until he started falling in love with oh-aew and started to like them instead...i’m guessing that’s the parallel they’re trying to draw with the plum wine comparison in this.

teh’s having a hard time getting into character (which we already know from last ep was always going to be one of the toughest challenges for him as an actor). his character in the play is supposed to have a sex scene, but he’s struggling with this bc he can’t put himself in his character (akin’s) shoes, so jai ends rehearsals early.

jai gives them all logbooks which he basically wants them to treat as diaries where they’ll write everything they feel/learn and hand it back to him (he’ll be the only one reading them). ngl this already had me feeling kind of yikes (esp now as i rewatch this knowing how everything went down) since jai already has inside knowledge about teh’s feelings on his relationship with oh-aew which he can take advantage of :/ more on that later though...

it’s sad to me that so much time has passed since teh’s argument with khim and he's STILL avoiding her. khim was someone that he respected immensely (and was such a great mentor for him) so it just sucks to see that their relationship has deteriorated so much since the first two eps. teh might have had his reconciliation moment with oh-aew last ep, but there’s still a lot that he’s not ready or willing to address yet.

i understand that teh’s just encouraging jai about his work when he tells him to stop having others comment on it, but at the same time, i disagree with him bc i think it IS important to get other peoples’ opinion about your work. how else will you ever be able to see things from other perspectives if you don’t?

anyway, teh tells jai he’s seeing a play, and jai asks teh if he’s bringing oh-aew...the look on teh’s face is telling enough that things aren’t going great between them (at least on his end). this brings us to the logbook scene, where teh’s homework for the day is to write about the similarities and differences between himself and his character in the play. this gets teh to reflect on how he feels his relationship with oh-aew is changing, or specifically, how oh-aew seems to be changing so much that teh feels like he’s becoming someone else entirely...and does that mean that he still loves him the same?

i feel like this is a fairly common issue with people that have been in a relationship for a while (and this is their third year together now), so i understand how teh might start having doubts. it’s nothing that oh-aew’s done, it’s just that sometimes all these small changes can keep mounting up to the point that they feel much bigger than they actually are. oh-aew’s really just doing what everyone else does, which is grow and change as they get older, but teh’s still stuck in the past trying to hold onto what they used to have instead of evolving with oh-aew. the way teh picks at all these little changes of oh-aew does make me think that he’s self-sabotaging himself. he’s just so afraid and insecure that oh-aew will change so much he leaves him, that he has to nitpick at reasons why oh-aew’s the one that’s growing away from him (though when we watch the whole ep we know that that’s not the case at all). it’s like a ‘if i push him away first, then he won’t push me away’ sort of self-defence mechanism. either way, teh’s a constant overthinker...and he’s always been his own biggest enemy since the start, so it makes perfect sense to me that he would do this to himself here too.

i know that they’ve been together for years at this point, so things are not quite as exciting as they used to be, but it hurts to see oh-aew be so happy about getting an A for his class, and teh be so unenthused about it. oh-aew has to basically beg teh to give him attention and praise. remember when teh used to get so worried when oh-aew did badly in chinese class...and now it’s like whatever to him just bc he’s not tutoring him/they’re not in the same major anymore :((( i know it’s prob both bc teh’s still hurting that oh-aew transferred majors, and from seeing oh-aew succeed while he feels like he’s failing, but still...

also, not inviting him to see the play with him bc he thought oh-aew wouldn’t be interested/oh-aew kept falling asleep whenever they saw plays together ;;; i get the reasoning from both povs, but it still is nice to be asked :(

so one thing i have to say about the progression of their relationship here is that i just feel this huge disconnect from last ep and this ep?? i know it’s bc of the time skip (since it’s a year later basically), but to go from the end of ep 2, where they’re promising to love each other forever, and then to teh feeling disillusioned/as though he’s falling out of love with oh-aew basically right after that?? it’s so jarring. i feel like we lose so much with these time skips bc the transition from ep 2 to ep 3 is never really shown, so there’s this lack of flow there. like we’ve skipped a step entirely and something’s missing. this is the disadvantage of only focussing on one year per ep since there’s not enough time to explore as much character and relationship development when we’re only seeing an hour long snippet of an entire year. it just makes things feel superficial since so much of what we should be seeing is missing...and we basically have to fill in all the gaps ourselves.

okay, back to oh-aew ranting to his friends about how he feels like his relationship with teh is fading away bc they don’t have the same interests anymore, but also wondering if that’s just normal for long-term relationships. bless that boy that came to ask oh-aew for his ig :’) at least he knows that he’s wanted and has options, even if he obv turns him down bc of teh (for now).

plug and mangpong are dating!!!!!!! and mangpong does a horrible job of trying to hide it 😂 sidenote, but i love the way pp delivers lines sometimes (like the “just shocked”), he’s so cute. plug and mangpong’s legs touching...and the wave of nostalgia that came over me (and oh-aew) during that ;;; oh-aew seeing their blossoming relationship would make him reminisce back to his own experience of falling in love with teh...when everything was still so fluttery and new. so when teh texts him about using his car to help jai move, he looks happy. like he wants to rekindle those feelings again too.

that being said, it’s kind of sad to me how even jai shows more interest in oh-aew’s major than teh (when he asks him for his opinion on how to get people interested in his play). oh-aew’s got some good ideas and is more than willing to help (esp since he wants to connect and find a common interest with teh again). also, just bc oh-aew doesn’t want to be an actor anymore doesn’t mean that he’s completely uninterested in it. god, watching this part again hurts bc oh-aew looks so happy and optimistic. he worked so hard to help teh (and jai) only for them to betray him like that. it made me mad originally, but now it just breaks my heart :(

jai’s running acting classes again for his play, and this time it’s a workshop to help them tap into their feelings. it’s like an intimacy exercise where they give one another consent to touch certain body parts. teh is still struggling a lot with this. i think teh craves intimacy, but as he doesn’t feel that connection in his personal life to oh-aew anymore, so it’s difficult for him to draw on his experiences. he can’t even remember the first time he had sex with oh-aew properly anymore. as usual, teh’s too in his own head to just go with the flow and ~feel things (which isn’t new since teh’s had problems with this since itsay), but it’s def something that he’ll need to learn how to do if he wants to become an actor. he’s trying, but the fact that he can’t get to that place makes him feel even more insecure than ever that he might never be able to get there. imo one of the reasons teh works so hard, and is as driven and ambitious as he is, is that he’s afraid that he’ll never be good enough. he puts so much pressure on himself, and the issue with that is that he’ll never be able to live up to his expectations that way.

teh is also very much alone now. oh-aew has his group of friends to talk to about his relationship with teh, but teh just has jai at this point. he’s pushed khim away...and he and oh-aew aren’t communicating effectively (which is also why they’re on SUCH different wavelengths in terms of where their relationship is at), so there’s literally only jai for him to talk to about all his relationship issues. and to me at least, jai seems to have ulterior motives (particularly when you consider that the subject matter of his play is pretty much the same thing that teh’s going through rn). it’s times like this when i do feel kind of bad for teh, but then again, he brought this upon himself the way that he almost always does...and it leaves me frustrated instead.

jai kissing his professor though...also their conversation?? i have QUESTIONS...

that whole interaction with teh when jai catches him spying on him and the professor was SO awkward. idk what it is about teh but i have never encountered a character that has given me as much secondhand embarrassment as he does. when he starts touching the bars and avoiding eye contact i just- why, teh why?????

moving on, i’m thinking there’s prob more to that scene that we don’t know about bc jai’s shifty like that...but it’s purpose is also to shift teh’s perception of jai. before this, he pretty much just saw jai as his friend and mentor, but seeing him kiss someone else pushes him to think of jai in another less platonic light. like the first spark of attraction.

the both of them go to see the mime show (babymime), and i know that the point of this is so teh can learn to just feel and let go the way that the mimes in this play do, but idk it’s just kind of funny to me the contrast between the last scene and this one.

teh’s already feeling like he and oh-aew’s interests are making them drift apart, so by connecting with jai, it’s that initial feeling of attraction that he used to feel with oh-aew all those years ago. jai is that cool senior that he respects...he’s goal-oriented and has so much in common with him (in a way that he feels that oh-aew doesn’t anymore), so it doesn’t altogether surprise me that teh latches onto jai in this way. esp when all their conversations revolve around what teh’s most passionate about, and what dreams they’re striving towards in the future.

it doesn’t surprise me bc teh’s affections shifted in a similar way from tarn to oh-aew when he was first starting to realise his feelings for oh-aew too (though at least he and tarn were never officially dating during that time...)

there’s a genuineness to the way teh praises and encourages jai that isn’t there when he’s doing the same to oh-aew :( and that coupled with teh lying to oh-aew about him having dinner with jai while oh-aew is at home, completely oblivious, painstakingly photoshopping his boyfriend’s face on the poster of the play TO HELP TEH instead of doing his own uni work, makes me so fucking upset for oh-aew.

it’s interesting to see how different their personalities are even when it comes to something as simple as the way they read their texts. oh-aew is so ready to accept whatever teh tells him at face value, but teh overthinks everything to the point where he jumps to a certain conclusion in his head about it instead.

but yeah, it’s just really tough to see oh-aew try so hard for teh, only to see teh do nothing back for oh-aew in return. there’s only so much one side can give. it’s the absolute lack of effort on teh’s part to even try to make things work with oh-aew that is the most frustrating thing of all. oh-aew is carrying their entire relationship rn and it makes me feel all “and for what?? why should he even bother??” about it.

sneaking to sit at the river with jai is like this forbidden, new experience, so it just enhances that feeling of attraction that teh is already feeling towards jai. and esp when he starts telling him about his previous relationship with james, the significance of the plum wine, and how jai ended up breaking up with him. since it’s reflective of teh’s own experiences atm (even in how he kind of self-sabotages himself to push people/oh-aew away first), he clearly takes it to heart. and it makes him want to do an even better job since the play is an autobiographical one for jai. not to mention, teh supposedly being the only one that jai told his story to makes him feel ‘special’......and we all know how teh likes feeling as though he’s special to someone. you can see it in how dejected he is when he thinks jai only told him his story bc he wanted him to get into character better, but perks up the moment jai says he actually told him bc teh’s been doing such a good job (and to encourage him). like i mentioned before, teh’s already feeling vulnerable and isolated from everybody else, so hearing any sort of praise (and esp when it’s from someone that he looks up to as much as jai), is going to pull him in.

when they were hiding from the security guard i was like ughhh i know where this is heading and i. don’t. like. it........

the problem is that i know where teh stands on this. like i know that there’s some attraction on his end. but i don’t know where jai stands. is he intentionally manipulating teh’s feelings for his play? is there any sincerity there? i think it’s obvious that he can tell teh is attracted to him from the glance that they share in this scene, but i can’t get a handle on what he actually wants (which i guess is the point of making his character as mysterious as it is but still). and if he can tell, and he doesn’t actually like teh back in that way, it makes the end scene even more yikes imo.

hmmm teh lying in the pool trying to recreate that feeling right before their first kiss when the both of them just let everything go and sank down into the water. that’s how you KNOW the next scene is supposed to be angsty...bc just like how their first underwater kiss had a sense of sadness to it bc they were hiding, their first (on screen) sex scene has that same sense of sadness, only this time it’s bc teh’s using his attraction to jai/his method actor desire to get into character to fuel the sex instead of bc he genuinely just wants to have sex with oh-aew. and if his reasoning for the sex is bc of that, then his task to recreate their first sexual experience will never live up to the actual first time they had sex (when they BOTH wanted it, and there were no other factors involved).

that’s not to say i don’t think teh doesn’t love oh-aew anymore. i think that there HAS to be some level of love still there amidst all of the confusion, but it feels a lot more like he’s testing his love/attraction to oh-aew during this scene (sort of like how he did with tarn in itsay) than a proper ‘love scene’. like he’s trying to reconfirm his feelings, whilst using oh-aew as inspiration for his role at the same time. it makes my heart ache that this is the first love scene we get from them this series, and it’s marred by the context of what we know is going on in teh’s head. like i said, it’s this permeating sadness throughout...and just knowing that oh-aew has absolutely NO IDEA what’s going on with teh and why he suddenly wants to have sex makes it worse. oh-aew’s been trying to make things work, and in his mind, teh spontaneously coming over like this prob makes him think that things are getting better between them since this is also the closest thing to teh showing any sort of initiative to work on their relationship in this ep so far...

and that’s not also taking away how beautifully this whole scene is shot. i’ve always loved the way that teh and oh-aew play and flirt with each other (bkpp’s chemistry is honestly unparalleled!!) so it was nice to see them be kind of playful before they started kissing again (if you ignore how sad this scene really is). i LOVE the inter-splicing between their first time on the beach and the present. the way the score swells, and little moments where you can see their feet and fingers interlocked on the beach. it gives you such a visceral visual (and totally takes me back to itsay days when that sort of imagery was used a lot more). i just hate that since we know the truth, this scene is more uncomfortable than satisfying despite how nicely shot it is.

i wish we got more domestic moments from them. i know their relationship has sort of grown past those initial moments of flirtation, but it truly makes me sad that we don’t get to see more of them as a couple in general in ipytm. moments like this where they’re lying in bed cuddling each other are so few and far between that i always feel like i have to cherish every little fleeting piece of fluff that i can get. even if idek if this can really be called fluff since the context sort of ruins it.

oh-aew’s still got his heart attack bag :’)))

he was soooooo happy when he met up with his friends 😭 but also, how the hell is it possible for teachers to move deadlines up like that. i FEEL that panic... poor oh-aew...

teh’s in rehearsals again and this time he’s wearing his moon shirt which...i do NOT need those ep 3 itsay vibes rn when i was already dreading this last ten minutes with everything i have in me :((( but anyway, jai’s brought plum wine to class and we know that teh doesn’t usually drink, but he does this time. he tells teh that the taste will change over time (it symbolises the ageing of the relationship process), and teh says it’s a pity he won’t get to taste it next time since jai wants to go abroad to study. then teh tells him he’s worked on the acting exercise and wants to try it out with jai, and i feel like we all knew where it was going to go from here.........

they really had to hammer it in with him missing oh-aew’s call too huh :/

as soon as they started the touching/intimacy exercise again i was just waiting for the catch. even on this rewatch i’m still sitting here chanting “don’t do it teh don’t do it” knowing full well that he kisses jai and there’s no changing that. but then when they cut to oh-aew walking up the stairs with the posters and you hear just how much time he’s sacrificed to help teh/jai on this...sacrificing time EVEN NOW just to go over to their uni to give them the posters when he has a presentation due tomorrow that he and his friends still haven’t finished working on...it’s just heartbreaking knowing what he’s going to end up walking in on.

whether it’s itsay or ipytm, teh’s default state is confusion. so while i think that there’s a certain amount of attraction towards jai there of course, i kind of get the feeling that he’s confusing his feelings of connection with jai (bc of their shared interests and passion) with him falling in love with jai. i feel like his attraction to jai reminds him of what it was like when he was first attracted to oh-aew, and since things have changed so much between him and oh-aew, it’s like he wants to recreate and capture that feeling again with jai (which is also why he wears the moon shirt...he wore that during itsay ep 3 beach scene, which was the moment when the attraction really started to burn between him and oh-aew). he can’t feel that same spark with oh-aew anymore, so he transfers his feelings to jai since, at this point in time, he feels closer to jai than anyone else. instead of growing alongside oh-aew, it’s like he’s choosing to revert back to a time when he was happier.

we know that teh has always been the type of person that will act on his impulses when he feels them. that’s WHY it was so hard to watch...bc i knew while watching that last scene, he was never going to restrain himself or put a stop to those feelings bleeding over into action. and esp not when it could benefit him in some way with his acting too.

in the end, it just makes me so devastated for oh-aew. and i really hope that he doesn’t let this go bc he thinks it’s just teh method acting or getting into character or whatever...i know that teh’s feeling a lot of conflicting things rn, but that’s not an excuse. he really fucked this one up.

the thing is, it’s not that i don’t think teh is capable of acting this way (i’ve seen a few people say that this is ooc for him, but it really isn’t? this confusion and impulsiveness has always been a part of his character from the very start...he was always the one that had the most trouble dealing with his feelings out of the two of them), but the time skips don’t do him any favours bc we lose all those moments that take him to what he’s currently feeling. when we don’t have those moments, then it’s a lot harder to sympathise with him. in itsay, bc we always knew how teh got from point a to point b, even if he did frustrating/silly things, i always understood where he was coming from. i always felt for him. i GOT his struggles, which was why i was always able to empathise with what he was going through. in ipytm, he just comes off as unlikeable bc of how superficial his feelings seem (from what we’re being shown on screen at least).

falling out of love with your significant other/starting to feel things for someone else is obv a fairly common experience, so i don’t blame teh for FEELING like this, but it’s how he treats oh-aew throughout this that doesn’t sit right with me. even if you feel like you’re falling out of love with someone, or that they’ve changed since the first time you fell in love with them, you’d think there’d be some motivation to at least TRY to make things work with them before giving up. we never see that from teh at all. instead, he just see him becoming infatuated with jai (so we barely see teh/oh-aew together in the first place). and while i can see now that a lot of this is due to his own insecurities and inadequacies, it’s also just so disrespectful to oh-aew who's the one that we see putting in all this time and effort (it calls back to their whole “don’t give my time to others” scene in itsay bc we see oh-aew giving so much of his time to teh through helping him out with his play, while teh’s giving that time that should be for oh-aew to jai now). no matter his reasoning, watching teh act that way towards oh-aew does make it increasingly hard to root for him. there’s just too big a disparity in how the two of them choose to act and devote their time to their relationship.

what’s frustrating is that in itsay, teh would fuck up but he would always try to make amends with oh-aew in some way. he would always come forward to try to sort things out after...but there’s nothing here. even after their dinner fight in ep 2, it’s OH-AEW that reaches out to him first (even though it’s teh’s fault that they fought in the first place). where’s that boy that dressed up in his old school uniform in order to talk to oh-aew at his school? or made a whole chinese idioms scrapbook for oh-aew? or gave up his uni admission for oh-aew? i understand that characters and motivations change (and he was obv hopped up on his first love with oh-aew at the time), but it’s just really, really sad to see teh keep messing up and not even try to meet oh-aew halfway with this. yes, you can fuck up, but there are only so many times you can keep fucking up before it starts to look more like a pattern of shitty behaviour than a few forgivable missteps.

another issue is that there’s been so much focus on teh and his flaws that a lot of the time oh-aew comes off as a side character to teh’s story. previously, i understood that since teh was grappling with his sexuality. it made sense that his journey was the primary focus of the plot and character development. but i always felt that there was more room to explore oh-aew’s story (and i thought that we would get a lot more of that in ipytm...esp after ep 1), but it just feels like we kind of skimmed past all of oh-aew’s growth and struggles adjusting to bangkok/uni life so we could turn the attention back to teh again. i just hate that we never get to see more of how oh-aew’s changed in teh’s eyes (other than the surface level things like his hair, new car and major), and that we never get to see more of oh-aew’s life when it’s not related to teh in general. i hope that we’ll get more of oh-aew in the last two eps, but i really don’t know what they’ll give us anymore.

at this point, i don’t even want them as endgame anymore given everything that’s happened in the recent ep. and it pains me so much to say that bc teh/oh-aew are so immensely important to me, but they’re just in such different places in life. and teh esp has so much more growing to do (i think i said this last week too? teh...). oh-aew deserves to be with someone that can see his worth as he is (that won’t cheat on him for one!!). i just want him to be with someone that can make him happy. what i wanted most for them out of this was for the two of them to grow to a better place (together and as individuals), and while i still want that for them as individuals, it’s hard for me to want them to be happy together anymore. at least for the time being.

i’m kind of at a loss for how they’re gonna work through this (and i genuinely want oh-aew to be able to explore his options too...particularly with someone that will actually treat him better than teh’s treating him atm). so at this point it’s kind of looking to me like a break up is inevitable? but i do think it’s necessary  for both of them rn. i feel so heartbroken about it though...like ipytm is actually making ME go through the breakup...breaking up with all my beloved itsay teh/oh-aew memories :((( anyway, i think a break up is also conveniently the best time to put a time skip tbh...so we’ll see if that does end up happening now in future eps.

this one took such a long time to write up bc i wrote like a quarter of this RIGHT after i finished watching the ep (so you can clearly tell which parts were me right after the ep, and which parts were me after i had some time to sit on what happened 😂), but i thought it was best to take a bit of a break. i didn’t rewatch it again until i calmed down a little and sorted out my thoughts some more (though i know this is still pretty messy). but yeah, i’m still very much interested in watching how they things are going to progress from here...but i can’t deny how sad i’ve been feeling after this.

I’m writing a Klaine fic and I want to incorporate smut but I feel weird doing it because I just have no idea how to write it (I’m a lesbian), so I’m not asking for like specific tips or anything lol but how did you start getting the hang of and learning to write smut for your fics?

Ngl, I was tickled to get this question - because I never thought anyone would ever be asking me advice on writing smut, lol.

Here's some general thoughts for ya, though, Nonny! :)

Top Ten Tips for Writing Smut

1. There are two-ish kind of aspects to writing smut. The mechanics. And the emotion. The mechanics, which might be the scarier part, is actually the easiest of the two. Some variation on Tab A goes into Slot B. That's about as complicated as it really gets. The emotion part, though, is really what makes the scene -- even PWP.

I don't have a penis. I couldn't tell you what it feels like to have balls. But if you set the emotion right - you can sell just about anything.

(And even if you don't - people will read anything... case in point this fic: Homecoming, which was written by me under a fake name and is utterly terrible Stucky porn because I wanted to prove the point that even bad smut in a popular fandom will get you more hits than a well researched and written fic in a small fandom. It's truly terrible guys. I hope you read it.)

2. What is the story you want to get across? Are you trying to unpack a lot of inner demons of your characters or do you just really want to see frottage because the two guys are super hot? Either way - know what you're looking for and what you want to get out of the scene.

Kind of like dancing - it's about choreography. So don't be afraid to kind of sketch out (even if it's in your mind) how you want it to play out. Is the scene trying to tell us something about the characters? If so what? Or are you just wanting them to reach an orgasm? And if so - how do you want that orgasm to be achieved?

3. This is going to sound a little silly, but I stand by it -- read more smut! What do you like about smut writers you enjoy? What makes it work for you? While I don't endorse plagiarism, you can study how they make scenes work, and extrapolate that into your own work.

4. Do some research! Not quite sure how things work? A little google search goes a long way!

Also, ngl, check out some porn! It's not at all realistic, but if you don't have a dude ready and available to help you out it's a way to visually see how things (can) work.

(I totally did this this morning - watched some gay porn, with a dude that looked similar to Chris Evans. It was weird, and I wasn't at all turned on. But I got what I needed since I'm lacking a dude who will is readily available to help me out with visuals.)

5. Don't be afraid to use your own experiences. Even if you've never had sex or an orgasm, I'm sure you know what it's like to feel an emotion towards another person. You can use that!

6. Fanfic sex (and most fictional sex in general) is not realistic, so don't put pressure on yourself to make it so. In real life things happen like -- you fart or your body won't bend the right way, or you go through three condoms before you're able to get one on before it rips or you slide off the bed because the sheets are too silky (this totally happened to a friend of mine, it was hilarious.) It's awkward and weird and not at all what fic, fiction, or the media makes it seem like it is. So don't worry too much about making it overly realistic.

7. Don't feel like you have to write every aspect of sex. If you want to fade to black - that's totally fine! if you want to focus on how one partner blows another, that's totally fine! You don't have to do everything in your scene. This goes back to the - what do you want out of the scene - thing, but don't feel like you have to cover everything to make it work.

8. Sometimes what you don't see can go a long way. You can have a sex scene that's completely dialogue and still be exactly what it needs to be. Don't be afraid to play around with sensuality or soft focus sexing ;)

Unasked for example:

"Oh, oh... a little more, Blaine, a little... oh, yes, right there."

"Fuuuck, Kurt you feel so good."

"I need... more. I need... Yes, yes... oh god... oh... Fuck, Blaine, fuck, fuck, fuck, oohh... oh god... oohh...."

"Mmmmm, I love you."

"Love you, too."

Could you see what happened in that scene? And I didn't even describe it to you ;)

9. A good beta goes a long way. Seriously, @snarkyhag is my god send, and makes sure Kurt and Blaine are doing things that are physically possible while using good grammar. ;) Especially when you're starting out, a trusty beta, who will tell you what works and what doesn't, can go a long way.

10. And last but not least, and this is perhaps the biggest thing -- practice. I was very scared to write my first smut (and honestly, I'm not a huge fan of it -- I think the sexy times in With Every Broken Bone are its weakest points, and my betas had to hold my hand through it.) One of the reasons I'm doing the Smut Challenge is to work on smut and see how it can be better.

So, write that first scene and let it be terrible. That's okay! The next one will be better.
