I was supposed to be resting for a couple of days before making my next big set, but I can't help myself ❤️ Now your sims can have "night meats" in their honeymoon suites 🥂

The very sweet & adorable Night Meats post by @couldnt-think-of-a-funny-name has served as inspo for this item. I made the ballet slippers ACNH conversion because I wanted them for the image, so I'm sharing that too! I added a few extra neutral swatches, because the game's swatches were a bit clown-themed in colors.

Trans!Puffy x genderbent!Techno. Read on AO3 here

It was almost nearing funny, how when people learned that one of them was trans, they always assumed it was Technoblade. She was a towering pig hybrid, with heavy tusks and a square jaw, thick muscular arms and heavy hooves, and Puffy was half her height and width. So Puffy got where the mixup came from! Really she did. Just that it was funny.

Less funny was the occasional asshole who decided to make a remark, but Techno usually just killed those assholes for saying shit to her and then got really stuffy and blushy and stiff while she pretended not to hover around Puffy. It wasn’t even like Puffy got all that bothered! But it was nice to be fussed over, even when Techno had been the recipient of the comment.

This was particularly hilarious given the fact that Techno couldn’t even ask for her own pickles. It was always Puffy approaching the service workers, reminding them of details. She was pretty sure at this point that Techno would rather auto-cannibalize herself all the way to death than inconvenience a customer service employee even one (1) time.

“Excuse me!” Puffy called, flagging down a grocery store employee while her girlfriend pretended not to know her. “Did you guys move the hoof polish?” Normally it was in with the shampoos and soaps, but Puffy and Techno had crawled the bodywash aisle twice now to no avail.

“Oh, yeah, it got put, uh,” the faun in a blue polo fumbled, glancing around and trying to remember. “I think cosmetics?”

“Well that’s a dumb place to put that,” Puffy muttered, hands on her hips. Techno looked panicked at her rudeness. “Thanks! We’ll check there.”

Hoof polish acquired, they checked out their items and took to the streets of Essempi. It was a pleasant day out, not quite hot but only cool enough to justify maybe a shawl or light jacket. Techno had a beige and red dress made from a thick cotton weave, and a blood red shawl that lifted slightly in the light breeze. Really, if she had the stomach for it she could’ve been a model. Puffy did not even pretend she wasn’t ogling her.

She heard the two unruly teens just before she felt them, Tubbo rushing past her right before Tommy knocked into her. As far as pickpocketing techniques went, it was seamless. She had no idea what he’d grabbed and where he’d grabbed it from. Unfortunately for them, everyone and their cow knew that Tommy liked to nick things recreationally.

Techno was in front of them, glowering, all towering height and broad muscle and thick chest Puffy took frequent delight in, stanced to block the road and red eyes glaring.

“Hey-heyyyyyy, big woman,” Tommy greeted, nerves clear in his voice. Puffy huffed and stormed up, smacking him on the back of the head.

“Give it back!” she ordered.

“Give what back?” Tubbo asked, and it really was dangerous how completely innocent he managed to make himself look and sound.

“Whatever you two took, now give it,” Puffy demanded, holding out her hand.

Behind the pair, Techno snorted. A piggish rush of air that had most sensible people’s skin crawling.

“Fine, fine,” Tommy handed over the slab of beef wrapped up in its brown paper, and Puffy had no idea how he’d managed to snag that. It’d been near the bottom of its bag!

“Good,” Techno said darkly, “now get.”

The teens tore off, spirits hardly dampened. They weren’t a bad sort, just unruly, and Tommy liked the act of taking more than he’d ever cared for keeping, anyway. As far as anyone could tell, Tubbo just liked trouble.

“My gallant knight in shining armor,” Puffy teased, giggling as she tugged Techno’s hand out of her crossed arms so she could wrap her arms around Techno’s. She was so big and strong (a fact that Puffy made frequent and gleeful use of). “Chasing off the riffraff for me.”

“Cringe,” Techno snorted. “Last time I checked, you’re the biggest riffraff on this side of the ocean.”

“And the other!” Puffy tugged on Techno’s arm, but all it really did was leverage herself closer. She stumbled a little, then got her footing again. Man, Puffy’s hooves were half the size of her girlfriend’s. “May I remind you, I had a lucrative and mischievous career well before I sailed to these shores.”

“You’re not really provin’ me wrong here.”

Puffy snorted, loud and nasally, and knocked her horns against Techno’s bicep (stupid sexy towering giant. Puffy’d knock her head if she could reach it).

Puffy dragged her home with her and made Techno sit while she cooked them both dinner. Techno put up a token protest when Puffy requested that she tell her a story from one of the old myths she was so obsessed with, and Puffy fell happily into the rhythm of cooking while her girlfriend lovingly detailed the story of an archer with a stinky wound.

“I think I wound up cooking too much beef,” Puffy observed as she brought the food over to the table, Techno joining her with a swish of her skirts.

“Eh, pack it up and bring it with us to my place,” she said with a shrug. “Take it to the bedroom. We can have night meats later.”

Puffy dropped her fork before she’d even had her first bite. “Night meats?!”

Techno froze, in that way she did when she thought she’d said something weird and was now analyzing how to best play it off. But Puffy absolutely could not stand for that.

“I need to kiss you until you’re stupid,” Puffy followed, her heart suddenly squeezed far too full as she admired the utterly ridiculous woman across from her. And all but crawled across the table in order to plant herself directly in her lap, kissing around her short tusks with practiced familiarity.

“What, no, but I’m already so dumb!” Techno protested, her hands going up to Puffy’s hip and waist since she was resisting this soooooo hard.

“Then I’ve just got to make you stupider!!!”

“Heh?!? There won’t be anything left!”

Techno laughed as Puffy continued to kiss her, their dinners cooling on the table behind them as Puffy stuck her tongue down her girlfriend’s throat. She was so ridiculous. She was so ridiculous and silly and goofy and Puffy needed to marry her. She was so dense and strong, too, Puffy also needed to climb her like a tree and rock her whole ass world.

“I love you,” she gasped when they parted, stars still gleaming in her eyes and little hands tangled in long pink hair. “You’re so ridiculous. Night meats?! I love it, I love you, that’s inspired, why didn’t I ever think of that.”

“I think you’re blowin’ this a lil’ out of proportion,” Techno muttered, self-conscious and glancing askance. Puffy kissed her again about it.

it's hot where i live and it has me thinking about beach days with young! art and patrick. specifically annoying friend! patrick. imagine going to the beach with them. them picking you up and their reactions to your bikini. barley covered up by the crocheted top you had on. peaking through is your white bikini top that shows off your chest more than they've seen before. patrick unashamedly checking out your ass as you bend over to throw your bag in. i just know art would be so flustered. his face flushed and nervously laughing as he tries not to check you out too obviously. annoying friend! patrick on the other does little to hide it. probably asks where you've "been hiding those". squirts sunscreen on you while making crude jokes - and, of course, you let art rub sunscreen on your back instead of patrick which leads to a very embarrassing boner on his part - and patrick will 100% try to untie your swimsuit.

stop because friends with art and patrick where they're just starting to realize how fucking hot you are. maybe you've covered up more before, maybe you're in a girly phase you weren't in previously, maybe you're purposely trying to gain their attention in that way - either way they're both slackjawed at the sight of you. their eyes piercing your skin when you tug off your top and wriggle out of your shorts, the thin straps of your bikini hugging your curves. your tits nearly spilling out - your ass eating up your bottoms. arts face is a comical shade of red, blotchy and patricks flushed too but at least art is polite where patrick just flat out ribs you about it, "the fuck were you hiding those knockers?"

you're secretly pleased, though you roll your eyes and admonish him for being a pervert. in fact, you do alot of that for the rest of the day, deliberately flaunting your body but acting like its not a big deal. steadily driving them insane, even art starts to get twitchy about it.

when you undo your bikini straps and ask him to rub in sunscreen, with just your palms daintily cupping your tits to cover them - he bawks at you. his hands are trembling and nervous as they feather across your back and you moan, arching back into his touch with a sigh, "harder, art." he lasts all of about five minutes before he's scrambling up, like, "uh. gotta piss." bolting from you like a scared deer to find the nearest bathroom and lock himself in a stall, furiously shoving his hand down his trunks to pump his hard cock. moans sounding tortured as he beats himself raw replaying the way you'd said "harder." in his head on a loop.

with patrick you really push it, knowing he wont spook like art. when you're in the water, you lose your top - on purpose - squealing and pressing yourself against patricks broad back, feeling him freeze when his brain computes the bare skin on skin contact - your hard nipples pushed against him. you can feel his breath expand through his chest as he inhales and exhales and chokes out - "what - what, um. you're, uh -" you suppress a giggle at having made him flounder, "just walk back to shore. i need to cover up." keeping your bare tits pressed firmly against him the whole time.

you torture them more when you find a popsicle stand and buy one - moaning and drooling around the icy concoction as it drips down your wrist. they stare at you with their lips parted, almost looking miserable in their abject longing as you slurp loudly - pushing the icy dessert in and out of your mouth - bobbing your head. it gets all over your chest, your chin, and you giggle when you finish it off, "im so sticky." licking the stick clean after. somethings sticky, alright, both of them think.

its a long day - and when they're driving you home the ride is starkly quiet. you hum to fill the silence, wondering what they're thinking about to have them looking so broody.

2024 English language manga releases I'm enjoying

Here are a couple of titles I've picked up in English so far this year that I've enjoyed. Most of these I read digitally in Japanese for one or two volumes a couple of years back, but opted to wait and purchase the English print versions for my collection.

I feel like all of these books are worth the purchase price, but don't have the energy to do individual posts for each of them. So here's a very smooshed together post covering a few 2024 reads.

GOGOGOGO-GO-GHOST! from Yen Press

Akechi Ushiro is a heavily flawed, hard-working woman whose disregard for her own wellbeing results in her coming face-to-face with her equally flawed guardian spirit, Masako. The pair decide to combine their forces and begin tackling the obstacles in Ushiro's life using curses.

Hiruzuka Miyako's darkly funny tale of a woman taking control of her life alongside her queer sister spirit is such a delight . Featuring a rough-and-ready art style that helps underscore the macabre elements at play, the entire first volume is scathing in its humour and unashamed in its portrayal of Ushiro's flaws. I was surprised when this one got picked up by Yen Press a while back, but so happy to see it enjoying a stateside release. If you're after something that doesn't always play nice, GOGOGOGO-GO-GHOST! might well be for you.

Edit: If you haven't read it before, this Japanese interview with Hiruzuka is worth reading for a bit more on her background and the creation of the series.

Pass the Monster Meat, Milady! (Akujiki Reijou to Kyouketsu Koushaku) from Kodansha USA

A sweet little fantasy romance between two individuals who find solace in one another despite being reviled by the general public for their interest in monsters. One loves defeating monsters in battle while the other loves cooking them!

Melphiera is a smart, capable heroine while Aristide Rogier du Galbraith is a dashing and supportive hero. The manga art is a bit low in detail, but the characters and story are absolutely worth your time. I'd love to see the LNs that the manga adapts in English someday too. I mentioned in tags before this whole series gives me the types of vibes I enjoy in historical fantasy romance novels, so if you like that kind of content this might be a good title to check out (or recommend to friends who appreciate romantasy but haven't tried manga before).

In The Name of The Mermaid Princess (Mio no Na no Moto ni) from VIZ Media

In a country where being "unhuman" or in some way supernaturally inclined is seen as a curse rather than a blessing, Princess Mio takes medications to suppress her mermaid-esque traits and please her father. Her perspective changes when Yuri, a tutor from her fiance's home kingdom, encourages her to be herself and embrace the things that make her different.

I've seen people say this is a bit too obvious in its parallels between fantasy oppression and IRL issues, but this is a Ribon manga for young girls so yeah it's on the nose but I think it works for the audience it has in mind. Tashiro Miya's artwork here is gorgeous and both leads are quite endearing (Mio is SO freakin adorable I can'ttttt). Overall a solid little series with nicely packaged volumes for those after something for a younger audience.

The Moon on a Rainy Night (Amayo no Tsuki) from Kodansha USA

A romantic slice-of-life tale featuring two high school girls, one of whom is a budding pianist (Saki) and the other a loner who is hard of hearing (Kanon).

I don't normally go much on high school romance but the way this series blends classic GL melodrama tropes with genuine issues in an earnest manner works for me. While we see things more from Saki's viewpoint as she eagerly tries to learn more about Kanon and tries to figure out her own sexuality, we do also come to understand Kanon's thwarted ambitions and the difficulties she has with letting people in.

Kuzushiro's art is quite whispy and cute, with all the characters tending to look quite well-realised on the page. While I prefer romances that feature a character with disability to centre their perspective, I do feel this does a decent job of portraying both girls as they try to navigate their deepening relationship. YMMV on this though, particularly if you are d/Deaf or hard of hearing.

Sketchy from Kodansha USA

Ako is living an unfulfilling life with a dull job and even duller boyfriend, but she suddenly finds herself thrust into a whole new world upon encountering a mysterious young skateboarder.

Sketchy, while ostensibly about women taking up skateboarding is more a snapshot of their individual lives and the role having a hobby plays once you're no longer a child. Ako's story particularly resonates with me (I literally worked her job at a similar age) but all the characters prove interesting in their own way.

Makihirochi's art is a bit more experimental than others on this list and may not be to everyone's taste, but I do think Sketchy is still worth checking out even if you're not entirely sold on the art (which I think has improved since I first became familiar with her work through Itsuka Tiffany de Choushoku o in Comic Bunch). Titles like this, which, let's face it, have low level of mainstream appeal, don't often get English language releases so I highly recommend supporting this one if you have the opportunity to do so.
