that 90s show isn’t even out yet and I’m already thinking about the possibility of all throughout season 1 it’s shown that jackie and kelso don’t have a great marriage, like it’s constantly hanging on by a thread. it’s just an ongoing issue in the background of whatever the new main cast is up to. same with hyde’s character- he’s just constantly mentioned in the background of whatever else is happening. the adults will mention that he’s being a nuisance in some other state or maybe he went to london to partake in their punk scene. finally season two comes around (if it’s even good enough for multiple seasons) and Surprise hyde shows up out of nowhere ready to be the Cool Conspiracy Uncle to eric and donna’s kid, and he’s very obviously been recast but no one ever mentions it, or it’s mentioned once or twice in a very comedic way. anyway hyde is Here Now and it kind of sends jackie into a tailspin and she has to come to terms with the fact that she’s still in love with him and her marriage is failing and how to even deal with All of that. and This is how burkhyde can still win thank you

Something about how Kristen still hasn’t truly processed all her Helio being the chosen one stuff. Something about how Cassandra literally looks exactly how Kristen looked when she was with Helio. Something about how Buddy Dawn is exactly who she would’ve become if she hadn’t died and met Helio down to his mini having to exact same pose as freshman year her. Something about how she couldn’t even find comfort in Yes! or Yes? because they were just puppets of Sol to try and get her back. (Whether it be Vlad creating her at his point in time a decade later or Dani having gone back time then wander through the ghost zone and then finding him like Danny did or something else)

Yes. Yes I do. I definitely think TUE Vlad should have at least tried to recreate/resurrect Danny (I mean, why wouldn't he, given literally everything we know about Vlad and that situation?) and if Danielle was the end result of that, I think this version of Vlad who has lost literally everything would be more than happy to pretend like nothing is wrong or ever went wrong in his life alongside his obsessively carefully crafted DNA-patch job/Frankenstein's monster daughter.

All of that being said, I honestly prefer the latter option, no matter how many hoops one would have to jump through to make it work. I'm a BIG fan of using time travel to allow canon Dani to find acceptance from Vlad during different stages of his life, whether it be TUE Vlad who's had years to marinate in grief from losing everything, or a much younger fresh-out-of-the-hospital Vlad who really needed a positive presence in his life.
