From the L’eau Est La Vie Camp’s Facebook Page:
Bail has been set at a total of $63,500 for the four water protectors arrested yesterday. All four are facing trumped up felony charges.

These protectors were peacefully stopping illegal construction of the Bayou Bridge Pipeline in the Atchafalaya Basin when they were charged at and violently attacked by police and workers from Energy Transfer Partners.
We had permission to be on the land from the landowner and we were breaking no laws. But ETP does NOT have a legal right to build on that land.
You can see pictures of the attack here: http://bit.ly/ETP_Attack
***
The Bayou Bridge Pipeline is the tail end of the Dakota Access Pipeline and would connect is the final piece of ETP's scheme to bring oil from North Dakota to export terminals in Louisiana.
For over two years we have been resisting the project tooth and nail. Now that the project is delayed and behind schedule, ETP is getting desperate in their attempts to silence us. But we won't back down.
Please DONATE if you can: gofundme.com/nobbp

What infrastructure is being built to continue this toxic practice? How are you organizing? How are you resisting? (Obviously don’t tell us about your “illegal” rad direct actions on here please, just do it!) This morning, 3 water protectors locked themselves to equipment on a Bayou Bridge Pipeline construction site, halting construction. ✊ So far 4 people, including two direct support folks, have been arrested. One other person is still locked down. These folks took action to demand that the predominantly African American community of St. James, which is surrounded by tank farms, refineries, and other fossil fuel industry infrastructure, be given an evacuation route. Currently only one road leads in and out of St. James and in the event of an inevitable pipeline disaster, residents could be trapped. The action is happening at a work site in Louisiana’s sensitive coastal zone, where the pipeline company is currently under a judge's orders to stop construction. Bayou Bridge LLC is defying that order and not only continuing construction in the fragile coastal zone, but accelerating it. CALL LOUISIANA GOVERNOR EDWARDS NOW – demand that he stop construction in the coastal zone and give St James an evacuation route: http://nobbp.org/call/ DONATE to support ongoing resistance efforts: https://www.youcaring.com/leauestlavienobayoubridgepipeline-807622 JOIN the #RISETOGETHER week of action against the Bayou Bridge Pipeline & all other dangerous pipelines & extreme fossil fuel infrastructure! Stop the Bayou Bridge Pipeline! Week of Action: February 26 - March 4
Stop the Bayou Bridge Pipeline! Week of Action: February 26 – March 4
from No Bayou Bridge In Solidarity with the L’eau Est La Vie camp Below is the current list of primary targets for the #NoBayouBridge solidarity campaign. The eight financial institutions on this list are major shareholders in Energy Transfer Partners (ETP) and have also loaned ETP money. We must pressure these banks to cut off all financial ties to ETP and their subsidiaries. Also on this list…

The Indigenous Women's Divestment Delegation, along with environmental organizations in NYC  and national organization Rainforest Action Network stood together on October 15,2018 to demand JPMorgan Chase divest from fossil fuels. Six women leaders, from the frontlines of pipeline battles across the nation, spoke out and disrupted Chase Bank’s Private Client offices in the landmarked 28 Liberty building downtown.

TW: Police Brutality against Indigenous Women
ETP, the same company that unleashed violence at Standing Rock, is now brutalizing indigenous water protectors here in Louisiana. But we won’t back down. We will #StopETP and we will stop the Bayou Bridge Pipeline. #NoBayouBridge
We need more protectors to join us on the frontlines NOW. Please email us at [email protected] if you are able to make it to Louisiana.

Happy Indigenous Day. We are still here! ❤️✊🏽🔥💧🌎🌪⚡️🌬 It’s a hard life and we still have a lot of work to do... but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Remember our traditional values: compassion, generosity, and always walk in a humble manner. Strength. Perseverance. Resiliency. In our everyday struggles here at home as well as our collective global fight for Mother Earth it can be hard to see the light, believe me. But within these struggles there are teachings... genuine love, support, compassion, ceremony, prayer, camaraderie and healing—if we choose to let it in. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Mitakuye Oyasin, We Are All Related. #StandingRockSiouxTribe #SittingBull #IndigenousDay #Lakota #Dakota #MniWiconi #NoLine3 #NoBayouBridge #NoDAPL #WaterIsLife #KeepItInTheGround https://www.instagram.com/p/BosCY7JgjLg/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=7r0ssqnz7ovz
