Before you are able to form a coherent sentence, he pulls away and kneels in front of you. He looks up to meet your gaze, his own smouldering; his eyes, normally clear blue, are now dark with desire. His hands start inching up your bare legs, sliding them apart gently, his intense eyes never leaving yours. He may be kneeling in front of you, however, he is the one in control.

He leans in, and suddenly his mouth is on your inner thigh, slowly moving up as he leaves a trail of soft, reverent kisses and rubs his face against you, breathing you in. So eager to please you, so ready to devour you. Feeling the way you writhe, he grabs your hips, his fingers digging into your soft flesh to hold you steady. As he lifts his gaze, a mischievous smile spreads across his lips.

I am currently dealing with a family emergency and my ma has been rushed into hospital so I’ll be offline until things calms down, and progress on wips will slow considerably. I’m really sorry guys

➯ GOING INTO 2024

2023 has been rough for me in all manner of ways but I will say it has been very fruitful with regards to my writing. I managed surpass my goal of 100k words, reaching an unfathomable 150k at present, and I’ve even managed to hit a big milestone when it comes to my following! I’m extremely grateful to all my readers, both those that have stuck with me and those who are new, and I wish I had adequate words to really express that. but going into 2024 I will likely be writing less frequently than I did this year. this is due to my own health, and a multitude of other problems that I can no longer keep on the back burner.

plenty of you have seen mentions of hospital visits and procedures on my blog, and while I’m not very comfortable oversharing about medical stuff I do want to be transparent about the fact that I will be posting fics less because of it. I’ve been in and out of semi hiatus for the better part of 4 months but I was always awful at sticking to it. next year I want to actually give myself grace, and take care of my body.

please do not fear!!! this resolution actually aligns perfectly with my writing goals for 2024. I want to focus on lengthening my word counts. I’d love to post fewer fics, but to have said fics be 25 to 50k respectively, rather than to post a lot of 1 to 15k fics. mostly I want to work on my own impatience when it comes to writing, and berate myself less for what I think I should be doing writing-wise. I will still be around on here, and I always want to talk with you guys (and read whenever the mood strikes!!), the biggest difference is I’ll have longer projects, and you’ll have to wait for them (though if I’m honest I will likely still post a shorter fic here and there lol).

I appreciate the patience a lot of you have already shown me this year, what with my random breaks and gaps between posting. you have all been so so kind and generous with your praise and I wouldn’t be here, writing and sharing, without that support. I love you all and wish you well going into the new year!!!!!

[OOC rant about HL rp space here on tumblr: Wanted to mention this for a while but engagement requires... engagement. The more rp blogs exchange asks, the more pathways there are to communicate, to create a net of connections, make characters and the world around them come to life. Over the past year and a half I sent hundreds of asks, in anon/as me/as my characters. I understand being shy. I've been there, and it took some great people in this community to get me out of my shell.

But it is just what it is: unfortunately, if there is no reciprocity, there is no dialogue.

You don't have to wait for a green light/talk in DMs first with creating an rp scenario to send anyone an ask or to initiate rp by tagging someone. You can if it makes you more comfortable but don't have to. Most of us have Rules of Engagement but that's all the pre-requisites.

Before I burned out, I sent people asks just to make them happy, give some interactions for their characters. I wanted to find out more about MCs/OCs. But at this point (and I am not alone in this) whenever this turns into a one-sided communication, I am bothered by it, and I stop sending asks after a while.

I get that if I do it with anons, people won't know who to reply to. But even starting small, sending an ask or two for at least some rp people, so that we know you want to engage — it means a lot. It makes us want to continue playing in this HL sandbox.]

The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea

Sometime last week I read 'The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea' and I ADORED it! I had been reading so many books in a series so I appreciated getting to read a standalone for a change.

Not only that, but overall it just felt so sweet and wholesome. The relationship with her family, her love for them and how that familial love can transcend lifetimes was such a heart warming thing to read about, and I loved how it was a central part of the book. I had a few hunches about certain characters and the roles they would come to play, so even though some of the reveals weren't as shocking, it was still such a great read, not to mention the romance was very cute.

I honestly did not expect to love the side characters as much as I did, I had my doubts at first, seeing as the book was only 200 something pages, but it pulled through. All in all it's become one of those books I see myself rereading whenever I want something sweet, something that I know gets wrapped up in one book and still leaves me satisfied.

Side note, it was so refreshing to read a book solely focused on the mythology and simply telling a story, not focused on anything else but that.

He's the kind of lee who doesn't fight back. He just goes limp and lets it happen, as he's too busy laughing his heart out to even think about retaliating.

His best quality? His wiggles. A close second is him hugging himself when getting tickled instead of pushing your hands away. Come on man that's just so!! HDJSGSAGFSHS?!?! *grinds a slab of concrete between their teeth*.

He's used to getting dog piled on by the elves back at the North Pole and all of them tickling him, because it’s the only way that they can full on pin him down and get him.

Can't take what he dishes, so if you were to tell him about how cute he looks or how much you like his laughter, he'll turn in a flustered blushy mess in a matter of seconds and he'll deny everything you said in a choir of "NoHohohOh"s while hiding his face behind his hands.

Speaking of, that unbridled pitchy laughter of his man... Sweet and merry like the bells on Santa's sleigh. Contagious and absolutely adorable. Who said that.

Too ticklish for his own good and he'll be giggling up a storm before you even touch him.

Turns into a big hysterical squeaky toy when you go for his most sensitive areas.

Now that I mention it: while being a walking skipping ticklish spot, me thinks his worst spots are his ears, neck, ribs, tummy and feet, especially the top part (and that's canon babyyy).

He will ask for tickles, either by being a little shit on purpose or by straight up telling you (<- this kills the man. Hi, I'm the man).

Btw that feather on his hat? It's not only for decoration, if you get my hint.

Use it against him (especially on his ears and neck) and watch the poor guy split his sides like an overstuffed plush.

Quite the interesting uh, elf-ism, is that tickling is their love language. Whether it's for bonding, cheering someone up or just to be playfully annoying, you're gonna get tickles and that's a promise AND a threat <3c

Also, he's very good at giving aftercare. He'll fret if he went overboard, offering a cup of hot cocoa, hugs, a cozy blanket... but ideally all three.

I literally had a dream about reading the worst fan fiction like fucking ever kiryu was just randomly a yandere and nishiki was trying his best to survive also kiryu turned into a dragon (deez nuts) halfway and let nishiki kill him for being a bad boy but he was so upset about having to kill his bro that he just lay in the corpse for a bit and thats when i decided to stop reading and i literally opened tumblr in my dream to complain about how bad it was like the writing went back and forth from being terrible to incredible and i found myself enjoying some parts and despising others. I skipped the first few chapters so i had to tab back out and read the summary like why are they in a beach resort and the summary didnt just tell me nothing but it was also double spaced between each line and very fucking irritating and while reading it i kept thinking this is extremely ooc and boring like they would not fucking say that
