Well, hello word, @jv here.
This is the blog for throwing some news about Goblin, the fediverse-based tumblr clone I'm working on.
The idea is to develop an open-source platform that replicates some of the most peculiar intricacies of tumblr, that anyone can upload to a server, and become part of a federated network that works, in a way, as one. A tumblr-owned tumblr, if you will, that is much more resilient to financial woes than our current beloved hellsite.
None of the current platforms running on the fediverse offers an user experience close to tumblr. And more important: all of them lack the features that make the magic of tumblr happen: Reblogs, html posts, talking in the tags, etc.
So ... let's make one ourselves. The idea is to take one of the mastodon clones and, add the missing features and launch it to the world to use. For purely personal reasons (I know javascript/node much better than any other language) I have forked Firefish, which is itself a fork of Misskey.
The development is being done at https://github.com/johnHackworth/goblin, and yeah, Goblin is the working name of the project.
Tumblr media
I have an instance running at http://goblin.band/ . It's closed for new users, and it's extremely unstable at the moment, barely anything more than a very badly configured firefish server, but if anyone wants to poke around let me know and I can allow you to register.
So what it's in the plans for a version 1.0 that I feel confident doing myself (though any help is also accepted, of course)?
[done] Add support for reblog chains
[done] Add support for html posts
[in progress] Change the default editor for a block editor that allows to add content without having to write HTML
Manage notifications (especially what happens when someone reblogs a reblog, which is not supported by Firefish)
Review all the UI to remove any firefish or misskey references, remove unused sections.
Add tumblr-style tag system
Review the UI and polish it a little bit
What's in the plans for that 1.0 that I have no idea how to do / I know I'm terrible doing it myself?
Find a way to package everything so it's easy to install on a server without having to manually install a bunch of dependences.
Actually make my goblin.band server ... a proper server. With HTTPS and all the fancy stuff, you know.
Figure out if this thing actually federates with other servers out of the box or if I have to do anything to make it happen.
Figure out what's best for file storage. Probably disallow uploading anything that's not images, but see what to do with uploaded files and such.
So, if anyone wants to help, as we devs say, Pull Requests accepted!

Mini React.js Tips #2 | Resources ✨
Tumblr media
Continuing the #mini react tips series, it's time to understand what is going on with the folders and files in the default React project - they can be a bit confusing as to what folder/file does what~!
What you'll need:
know how to create a React project >> click
already taken a look around the files and folders themselves
Tumblr media
What does the file structure look like?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
✤ node_modules folder: contains all the dependencies and packages (tools, resources, code, or software libraries created by others) needed for your project to run properly! These dependencies are usually managed by a package manager, such as npm (Node Package Manager)!
✤ public folder: Holds static assets (files that don't change dynamically and remain fixed) that don't require any special processing before using them! These assets are things like images, icons, or files that can be used directly without going through any additional steps.
Tumblr media
✤ src folder: This is where your main source code resides. 'src' is short for source.
✤ assets folder: This folder stores static assets such as images, logos, and similar files. This folder is handy for organizing and accessing these non-changing elements in your project.
✤ App.css: This file contains styles specific to the App component (we will learn what 'components' are in React in the next tips post~!).
✤ App.jsx: This is the main component of your React application. It's where you define the structure and behavior of your app. The .jsx extension means the file uses a mixture of both HTML and JavaScript - open the file and see for yourself~!
✤ index.css: This file contains global styles that apply to the entire project. Any styles defined in this file will be applied universally across different parts of your project, providing a consistent look and feel.
✤ main.jsx: This is the entry point of your application! In this file, the React app is rendered, meaning it's the starting point where the React components are translated into the actual HTML elements displayed in the browser. Would recommend not to delete as a beginner!!
Tumblr media
✤ .eslintrc.cjs: This file is the ESLint configuration. ESLint (one of the dependencies installed) is a tool that helps maintain coding standards and identifies common errors in your code. This configuration file contains rules and settings that define how ESLint should analyze and check your code.
✤ .gitignore: This file specifies which files and folders should be ignored by Git when version-controlling your project. It helps to avoid committing unnecessary files. The node_modules folder is typically ignored.
✤ index.html: This is the main HTML file that serves as the entry point for your React application. It includes the necessary scripts and links to load your app.
✤ package.json: A metadata file for your project. It includes essential information about the project, such as its name, version, description, and configuration details. Also, it holds a list of dependencies needed for the project to run - when someone else has the project on their local machine and wants to set it up, they can use the information in the file to install all the listed dependencies via npm install.
✤ package-lock.json: This file's purpose is to lock down and record the exact versions of each installed dependency/package in your project. This ensures consistency across different environments when other developers or systems install the dependencies.
✤ README.md: This file typically contains information about your project, including how to set it up, use it, and any other relevant details.
✤ vite.config.js: This file contains the configuration settings for Vite, the build tool used for this React project. It may include options for development and production builds, plugins, and other build-related configurations.
Tumblr media
Congratulations! You know what the default folders and files do! Have a play around and familiarise yourself with them~!

SPULTURATORAH!! 2ND EXTERMINATION
SPULTURATORAH!! 2ND EXTERMINATION, Keetoms, 2024
Hot. Off. The. Presses. Directly into my hands before the edges were even trimmed or the cover placed on it. Seven hundred pages of raw ancient retro-future. The author gave this to me on January 2nd and it took me until now to actually read the whole thing.
SPULTURATORAH!! 2ND EXTERMINATION (S2E from here on out to avoid overwhelming us all with Teh Capslock) is a gonzo mashup of different game styles, settings, and genres. The original game (S1E, I guess) is a classic of maximalist game design in a tiny package. In fact, it's so small that there are more pages in S2E than words in S1E. That's ultra-maximalist game design for you.
So what did they do with the 698ish new pages? A lot, thankfully.
30 pages total of ToC, index, thanks, and license. It has its own bespoke license that I am not good enough at lawyer to understand.
10 pages of extra explanation for the original ruleset, which honestly it needed.
20 pages of gonzo backstory for King Gilgamesh. I appreciate that they did not in fact explain where he got the Levitating Darkness Throne. They did a great job folding in the new chapter of the Epic of Gilgamesh that was discovered only recently.
A 40-page adventure set in the Ziggurat of Ur, complete with a Narrative Dungeon linking this place to the Eternal Realm of Narrative Awesome.
9 pages of random-roll tables you can use for Trait One, Trait Two, and Trait Prime.
2 pages to explain the difference between what you can use for the numbered traits and what you can use for the prime trait.
30 pages of alternate uses for TRAIT ZIGGURAT BARLEY.
18 pages of equipment.
31 pages of vehicles and riding animals.
2 pages on currency.
14 pages of hacking rules.
7 pages of rules clarifications from the unofficial 1.4th edition. Nice to see them supporting fan works.
114 pages of monsters, each of which is a mutated version of King Gilgamesh from another universe or a shattered piece of our own, come to drag you back to his den and devour you. There are big ones, scaly ones, porcupine-like ones, multiple fragmented body parts moving together, one rolled into a beholder-like shape, one fused forever into a throne of pure orange light, all kinds of stuff. I like this.
A 6-page writeup of the God Shamash, which is sort of unnecessary but interesting anyway.
A 4-page running edge-to-edge map of Babylon and its rivers
8 pages of word jumble. I think it's a code. I am not entirely certain.
115 pages of adaptations from S2E to other rule systems: Deadlands, Torg, Fate, Altaplana, Numenera, Dungeon War, MSR, and Fantasy Wargaming: THLOA.
Good lord 700 pages is a lot of pages.
1 page accidentally taken up by a single dangling word ("it") at the end of a sentence. I have been there. Doing layout sucks sometimes.
96 pages of color art plates. Right in the middle of the book. The rest of the book has no art. The center has almost 100 solid pages of pinup Babylonian future barbarian blade hunter psychics. It's all the work of one mad genius who is credited as a bunch of black rectangles with diacriticals above and below them
A 3-page essay on why Nobilis is the greatest game ever, which has an acrostic that disclaims the entire section.
4 pages of detailed wargame rules.
22 pages of domain management guidelines.
12 pages of "spoilers". I still do not know what most of these mean.
A 2-page spread of Gilgamesh's family tree.
15 pages of writeups for miscellaneous folks on said tree.
28 pages on the language used in ancient Babylon, complete with cuneiform how-to.
A 16-page "node map" of the retro-future Babylonian cybernet that leads to outer space, where the planets are manifestations of deities.
21 more pages of detail covering the strange planets of our solar system as the Babylonians knew them: their cities, their rulers, little adventure seeds, advice for GMs for running stories in them. I do kind of wonder if someone else wrote this section.
1 page of probability notes, which is all you need for a 1d6-roll-under system really.
An 8-page character sheet, which is a bit excessive for characters with 4 traits.
2 pages that just contain the original game.
I will admit - there is actually too much in this game. I'm not sure it would have worked to make it a string of 50ish short supplements, but it's still an awful lot to absorb. The "maximal game, minimal package" has turned into "ultra-max game in a doorstop package". If S3E ever arrives (presumably with three exclamation points) I hope they do some judicious trimming.
I have no idea if this behemoth will make it to stores, or whether the shipment will collapse under its own gravitational pull and become a black hole. Either way, heck of a collector's item.

Introducing Samsung 24GB GDDR7 DRAM For AI Computing
Tumblr media
24GB GDDR7 DRAM
Future AI Computing: Samsung Launches 24GB GDDR7 DRAM. It sets the standard for graphics DRAM with its industry-leading capacity and performance of over 40Gbps.
First 24-gigabit (Gb) GDDR7 DRAM from memory pioneer Samsung was revealed today. Next-generation applications benefit from it’s speed and capacity. Data centers, AI workstations, graphics cards, gaming consoles, and autonomous driving will employ the 24Gb GDDR7 because to its high capacity and excellent performance.
“By introducing next-generation products that meet the expanding demands of the AI market, it will maintain to leadership position in the graphics DRAM market.” The 5th-generation 10-nanometer (nm)-class DRAM used in the 24Gb GDDR7 allows for a 50% increase in cell density while keeping the same package size as the previous model.
The industry-leading graphics DRAM performance of 40 gigabits per second (Gbps), a 25% increase over the previous iteration, is achieved in part by the advanced process node and three-level Pulse-Amplitude Modulation (PAM3) signaling. The performance of it may be further improved to 42.5 Gbps, contingent on the environment in which it is used.
Applying technology previously used in mobile devices to graphics DRAM for the first time also improves power efficiency. Power efficiency may be increased by more than 30% by reducing needless power use via the use of techniques like dual VDD design and clock control management.
The 24Gb GDDR7 uses power gating design approaches to reduce current leakage and increase operational stability during high-speed operations.
Major GPU customers will start validating the 24Gb GDDR7 in next-generation AI computing systems this year, with intentions to commercialize the technology early the next year.
GDDR6 vs GDDR7
Compared to the current 24Gbps GDDR6 DRAM, GDDR7 offers a 20% increase in power efficiency and a 1.4-fold increase in performance.
Today, Samsung Electronics, a global leader in cutting-edge semiconductor technology, said that it has finished creating the first Graphics Double Data Rate 7 (GDDR7) DRAM in the market. This year, it will be first placed in important clients’ next-generation systems for validation, propelling the graphics market’s future expansion and solidifying Samsung’s technical leadership in the industry.
Samsung’s 16-gigabit (Gb) GDDR7 DRAM will provide the fastest speed in the industry to date, after the introduction of the first 24Gbps GDDR6 DRAM in 2022. Despite high-speed operations, new developments in integrated circuit (IC) design and packaging provide more stability.
With a boosted speed per pin of up to 32Gbps, Samsung’s GDDR7 reaches a remarkable 1.5 terabytes per second (TBps), which is 1.4 times that of GDDR6’s 1.1 TBps. The improvements are made feasible by the new memory standard’s use of the Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM3) signaling technique rather than the Non Return to Zero (NRZ) from earlier generations. Compared to NRZ, PAM3 enables 50% greater data transmission in a single signaling cycle.
Notably, using power-saving design technologies tailored for high-speed operations, the most recent architecture is 20% more energy efficient than GDDR6. Samsung provides a low-operating voltage option for devices like laptops that are particularly concerned about power consumption.
In addition to optimizing the IC design, the packaging material uses an epoxy molding compound (EMC) with good thermal conductivity to reduce heat production. Compared to GDDR6, these enhancements significantly lower heat resistance by 70%, ensuring reliable product performance even under high-speed operating settings.
GDDR7 Release Date
According to Samsung, commercial manufacturing of their 24GB GDDR7 DRAM is scheduled to begin in early 2024. Although the precise public release date is yet unknown, this year’s certification process with major GPU manufacturers is already under way. With the availability of next-generation GPUs that will support the new memory standard, GDDR7 DRAM is now expected to be readily accessible in the market by 2024.

j personal beneath the cut
ok maybe getting the flu shot and the covid shot at the same time was a mistake. I don't feel too terrible yet, but the lymph nodes in my armpits are getting sore.
Good news is that my blood pressure is lower than it was at my last appointment. Also i've managed to drop about 10 pounds over the past year. I don't weigh myself at home so I didn't even realize until Doctor B turned the computer screen around so i could see my own stats.
I've made some dietary changes to help with the blood pressure, mainly way less sodium and more veggies. I guess i'm doing something right?
Also he ordered me an at home colon cancer screening kit. Which is both gross and hilarious to me. My husband is one of the most easily grossed out people I know, so i took great joy in describing this over the phone to him after my appointment.
me: so they send you a kit and you take your own stool sample. him: oh no! No! I don't want to know! me: and then you package it all back up and take it to the ups store. I get to send my shit through the mail! That's hilarious him: i want to get off the phone. I want to stop talking-- me: it's better than someone sticking something up your butt him: babe i've got to go

conquering the red sea
while on a dive, cheng xiaoshi experiences the horrors of having a period
Pairings: n/a
Word count: 781
Warnings for: uhhh mild discussion of periods and also general dumbassery. also you might get psychic damage from my pale attempts at humor.
[AO3 Link]
Cheng Xiaoshi’s first thought upon diving into the photo is nope. He doubles over, groaning.
Lu Guang is quick to ask, What’s wrong?
It takes a few seconds, but Cheng Xiaoshi finally gathers himself enough to respond. “Is she dying? Is our client dying, Lu Guang? Holy shit, I’m about to throw up.”
She’s not— no, she’s not dying. Don’t throw up. You do not have the time to throw up.
“Lu Guang, I don’t think I can express how little of a fuck I give about major nodes right now.”
Go to the bathroom and open the medicine cabinet. Take a pain pill. She has to be on the subway in fifteen minutes.
Right. The client had her makeup on and hair done and everything, in preparation for her job interview. How she had managed to think about anything other than the massive black hole of pain in her abdomen was beyond Cheng Xiaoshi, yet here she was. The most thought she’d put into the arrival of her period beyond the initial use of a diva cup was an extra emergency pad she had neatly slipped into her purse. She was a badass in a pantsuit, and Cheng Xiaoshi can not be the reason she doesn’t get this job. He clutches onto the doorframe, gingerly beginning the trek to the bathroom.
Thirteen minutes, Cheng Xiaoshi. It’ll be a seven-minute walk to the station.
He stops. There’s no way. “She walks?!”
Yes, replied Lu Guang, as if he wasn’t telling Cheng Xiaoshi to do something totally fucking impossible.
“No,” Cheng Xiaoshi says back, raising his hands. “Fuck this minecraft bullshit.”
…minecraft?
———
Qiao Ling crosses her arms. “Alright, talk. Why couldn’t you finish the task?”
Cheng Xiaoshi stoutly refuses to meet her eyes, so she turns instead to Lu Guang, sitting beside him. He glances at Cheng Xiaoshi before replying, “We ran into some unforeseen circumstances and were duly unprepared to deal with them.”
“Thanks, Lu Guang. A+ on the professionalism. Now, Cheng Xiaoshi, what actually happened?”
Turning pink, Cheng Xiaoshi huffs. “You… nobody told me that she was on her period.”
Lu Guang closes his eyes, resigned. Qiao Ling’s lip twitches.
“Don’t laugh.”
She grins.
“Don’t.”
She cackles. Her voice sweetens, mocking him as she adds, “The ‘great Cheng Xiaoshi,’ defeated by menses. Amazing.”
He sinks lower in his seat.
“Well!” Qiao Ling puts her hands on her hips. “I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised. Not everyone is cut out to continue to be as awesome and amazing and wonderful as people like me are when they’re on their periods.” Cheng Xiaoshi jerks like she’d just stabbed him. “Total L, by the way. Complete skill issue.” He winces again. “I’ll forgive the failure of a client’s mission just this once. Tell her you guys simply weren’t ‘equipped to handle it’ this time, or something.”
He shoots her a dark look as she exits the room, guffawing, then rapidly begins typing on his phone.
“What are you doing now?” asks Lu Guang, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Gonna start training.”
Lu Guang looks at him. “What? What does that mean?”
Cheng Xiaoshi turns away from him, still typing on his phone. “You’ll see.”
———
When the package arrives, Cheng Xiaoshi opens it and shows him its contents with unbridled glee, but the only thought that Lu Guang can come up with is—
well.
“You used our money,” he says, slowly, voice hollow, “to buy a period pain simulator.”
“Yep!” Cheng Xiaoshi sounds way too proud of himself.
“…may I remind you that we weren’t paid for that last job?”
He scowls, face darkening, no doubt, at the memory of Qiao Ling’s laughing exit from the other day. “I know. That’s why I got it.” He makes a fist. “I won’t be defeated again,” he says, which Lu Guang personally finds a little overdramatic, but he’s not going to say that.
Instead, he blinks and says, “I know I usually tell you that you’re a dumbass, but I’m going to be really honest with you right now, this really takes the cake.”
Cheng Xiaoshi clicks his tongue, wrapping the device around his waist. “Silence, nonbeliever! I’m gonna test it out.”
Lu Guang shakes his head, using his finger as a bookmark for the book he was reading as he heads for the stairs. “Just don’t come crying to me about it later.”
“Hey, you’re not staying to watch?”
“Watch you actively choose to be an idiot? No.”
Sure enough, when Cheng Xiaoshi begins groaning in pain a little later and the sound travels up all the way from downstairs, all Lu Guang does is put on a pair of headphones. Serves him right.
———
a/n: the tylenol i took has kicked in by now and i ate ramen and some shaved ice, so i’m feeling pretty baseline normal now (minus a headache + nausea), but god i was feeling so bad earlier. menses truly defeated me for like half a day there. OTL anyways if the pacing’s bad idk guess i’ll die then

Now that a lot of the really difficult and troubling parts are out of the way I'm chipping away at getting things actually functional and working towards the real goals of this tool.
One of those that I think sets it apart from a lot of existing attempts at level builders in Godot is that I want to be able to quickly and easily create different types of physics bodies and collision commonly used in level geometry. Examples of that being shown are StaticBody, AnimatableBody, and Area collision. All of which are extremely common in 3D level design. Most of the level building tools I've found only settle for creating static collision, without considering the scope of Godot's physics interactions or the more complex needs a game developer may have (that's me, I'm developers) which leads to going right back to clunky solutions like importing from Blender or Trenchbroom.
So the visible mesh and the collision shape generated for it have just been packaged into and automated within a couple distinct classes meant to emulate the node hierarchy you might typically see when creating level geometry in Godot. Hopefully, this makes the process of managing everything clean and prevents the scene tree from being clustered with nodes, while also providing a lot of flexibility.
I don't think it can do everything, but I'm hopeful that in the long run it can do a lot and can serve as more than just a tool for temporary blockouts that get replaced, and genuinely makes level design much easier at least for my own needs.

i want to keep tumblr because i like aesthetics
aesthetic aggregation is important because it allows for intimate relationships to develop outside of life-long domesticated-servile contracts
you transfer
love energy,
actually, when you share your aesthetic, and merge, like that
however
i don't think its possible to make organic relationships the same way it was a decade ago, no, entirely too sanitized
i highly doubt, since the algorithm that i'll ever oganically run into; actually its absurd to even finish that sentence
luckily, i became a sysadmin / programmer, in the interem period, and can actually build the tools this time around
i have an idea for an aesthetic aggregator portal place that combines dump.fm & tumblr with cellular automata, like a living pool you gaze into and everything's a ripple on a wave, man, that's like connected, woah
and i'm schemeing on it, i love lisp, when i go looking everything i want to do is available to me like channeling a spell... somebody already wrote scheme to wasm, that really shouldn't be too hard... still looking for alternate ways to chat :D hmu on xmpp it's exactly like AIM
i've tried node/npm, python, package managers... the best most satisfying one if you're going to go and install a big library, blob thing like that, is probably some flavor of emacs... for me, this is a personal preference, the fact that you 'can' do anything that rust/python/go/js can do in LISP... is enough for me, because, it is elegant, it is more pleasant to look at and easier to read, idk. loving my time with it recently and have been knocking it out of the park most days recently... the past 7 years i've been working on a top secret project, which will have a working alpha demo of the basic features by the end of next week :D
the best os rn is a freeBSD jail with guixSD GNU/linux-libre there's also hyperbola/BSD in the works you want to try to phase out the linux kernel because of all the google/microsoft shenanigans creeping in, you don't need unix/linux any more you can do all your daily driver stuff on an embedded, low power risc soc that costs under a hundo you need less overhead for embedded systems, there's microkernels like genome, and platforms like zephyr, its ok to move away idk one thing i learned its good to take a step back and look at the scope of what you're trying to achieve, try to strip away all the unneccessary parts... a mhz is 1,000,000 calculations a microsecond or whatever, when you sit down and write a piece of code how many calculations exactly do you need to do to do your business, honestly.
^these are the 3 am ramblings of a minimalist
i'm trying to find peers here on my site that's connected to the internet that's why i'm sending messages to it about my interests, pardon me, sir please send $1 to this address

US launches $1.6B bid to outpace Asia in packaging tech

US launches $1.6B bid to outpace Asia in packaging tech
.pp-multiple-authors-boxes-wrapper display:none; img width:100%;
The US is betting big on the future of semiconductor technology, launching a $1.6 billion competition to revolutionise chip packaging and challenge Asia’s longstanding dominance in the field. On July 9, 2024, the US Department of Commerce unveiled its ambitious plan to turbocharge domestic advanced packaging capabilities, a critical yet often overlooked aspect of semiconductor manufacturing.
This move, part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s CHIPS for America program, comes as the US seeks to revitalise its semiconductor industry and reduce dependence on foreign suppliers. Advanced packaging, a crucial step in semiconductor production, has long been dominated by Asian countries like Taiwan and South Korea. By investing heavily in this area, the US aims to reshape the global semiconductor landscape and position itself at the forefront of next-generation chip technology, marking a significant shift in the industry’s balance of power.
US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo emphasised the importance of this move, stating, “President Biden was clear that we need to build a vibrant domestic semiconductor ecosystem here in the US, and advanced packaging is a huge part of that. Thanks to the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to investing in America, the US will have multiple advanced packaging options across the country and push the envelope in new packaging technologies.”
The competition will focus on five key R&D areas: equipment and process integration, power delivery and thermal management, connector technology, chiplets ecosystem, and co-design/electronic design automation. The Department of Commerce anticipates making several awards of approximately $150 million each in federal funding per research area, leveraging additional investments from industry and academia.
This strategic investment comes at a crucial time, as emerging AI applications are pushing the boundaries of current technologies. Advanced packaging allows for improvements in system performance, reduced physical footprint, lower power consumption, and decreased costs – all critical factors in maintaining technological leadership.
The Biden-Harris Administration’s push to revitalise American semiconductor manufacturing comes as the global chip shortage has highlighted the risks of overreliance on foreign suppliers. Asia, particularly Taiwan, currently dominates the advanced packaging market. According to a 2021 report by the Semiconductor Industry Association, the US accounts for only 3% of global packaging, testing, and assembly capacity, while Taiwan holds a 54% share, followed by China at 16%.
Under Secretary of Commerce for Standards and Technology and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Director Laurie E. Locascio outlined an ambitious vision for the program: “Within a decade, through R&D funded by CHIPS for America, we will create a domestic packaging industry where advanced node chips manufactured in the US and abroad can be packaged within the States and where innovative designs and architectures are enabled through leading-edge packaging capabilities.”
The announcement builds on previous efforts by the CHIPS for America program. In February 2024, the program released its first funding opportunity for the National Advanced Packaging Manufacturing Program (NAPMP), focusing on advanced packaging substrates and substrate materials. That initiative garnered significant interest, with over 100 concept papers submitted from 28 states. On May 22, 2024, eight teams were selected to submit complete applications for funding of up to $100 million each over five years.
According to Laurie, the goal is to create multiple high-volume packaging facilities by the decade’s end and reduce reliance on Asian supply lines that pose a security risk that the US “just can’t accept.” In short, the government is prioritising ensuring America’s leadership in all elements of semiconductor manufacturing, “of which advanced packaging is one of the most exciting and critical areas,” White House spokeswoman Robyn Patterson said.
The latest competition is expected to attract significant interest from the US semiconductor ecosystem and shift that balance. It promises substantial federal funding and the opportunity to shape the future of American chip manufacturing. As the global demand for advanced semiconductors continues to grow, driven by AI, 5G, and other emerging technologies, the stakes for technological leadership have never been higher.
As the US embarks on this ambitious endeavour, the world will see if this $1.6 billion bet can challenge Asia’s stronghold on advanced chip packaging and restore America’s position at the forefront of semiconductor innovation.

React JS
Component-Based Architecture:
React applications are built using components, which are reusable, self-contained pieces of the UI. Components can be nested, managed, and handled independently, leading to better maintainability and scalability.
JSX (JavaScript XML):
React uses JSX, a syntax extension that allows HTML to be written within JavaScript. This makes the code more readable and easier to write.
Virtual DOM:
React maintains a virtual DOM, an in-memory representation of the actual DOM. When the state of an object changes, React updates the virtual DOM and efficiently determines the minimal set of changes needed to update the real DOM, leading to performance improvements.
One-Way Data Binding:
Data flows in one direction, from parent to child components, which makes the data flow and logic easier to understand and debug.
State Management:
React components can maintain internal state, making it easy to build dynamic and interactive UIs. For more complex state management, libraries like Redux or Context API can be used.
Advantages of Using React
Performance:

The Debate of the Decade: What to choose as the backend framework Node.Js or Ruby on Rails?
New, cutting-edge web development frameworks and tools have been made available in recent years.  While this variety is great for developers and company owners alike, it does come with certain drawbacks.  This not only creates a lot of confusion but also slows down development at a time when quick and effective answers are essential.  This is why discussions about whether Ruby on Rails or Noe.js is superior continue to rage.  What framework is best for what kind of project is a hotly contested question.  Nivida Web Solutions is a top-tier web development company in Vadodara.  Nivida Web Solutions is the place to go if you want to make a beautiful website that gets people talking.
Tumblr media
Identifying the optimal option for your work is challenging.  This piece breaks things down for you.  Two widely used web development frameworks, RoR and Node.js, are compared and contrasted in this article.  We'll also get deep into contrasting RoR and Node.js.  Let's get started with a quick overview of Ruby on Rails and Node.js.
NodeJS:
This method makes it possible to convert client-side software to server-side ones.  At the node, JavaScript is usually converted into machine code that the hardware can process with a single click.  Node.js is a very efficient server-side web framework built on the Chrome V8 Engine.  It makes a sizable contribution to the maximum conversion rate achievable under normal operating conditions.
There are several open-source libraries available through the Node Package Manager that make the Node.js ecosystem special.  Node.js's built-in modules make it suitable for managing everything from computer resources to security information.  Are you prepared to make your mark in the online world? If you want to improve your online reputation, team up with Nivida Web Solutions, the best web development company in Gujarat.
Key Features:
·         Cross-Platforms Interoperability
·         V8 Engine
·         Microservice Development and Swift Deployment
·         Easy to Scale
·         Dependable Technology
Ruby on Rails:
The back-end framework Ruby on Rails (RoR) is commonly used for both web and desktop applications.  Developers appreciate the Ruby framework because it provides a solid foundation upon which other website elements may be built.  A custom-made website can greatly enhance your visibility on the web.  If you're looking for a trustworthy web development company in India, go no further than Nivida Web Solutions.
Ruby on Rails' cutting-edge features, such as automatic table generation, database migrations, and view scaffolding, are a big reason for the framework's widespread adoption.
Key Features:
·         MVC Structure
·         Current Record
·         Convention Over Configuration (CoC)
·         Automatic Deployment
·         The Boom of Mobile Apps
·         Sharing Data in Databases
Node.js v/s RoR:
·         Libraries:
The Rails package library is called the Ruby Gems.  However, the Node.Js Node Package Manager (NPM) provides libraries and packages to help programmers avoid duplicating their work. Ruby Gems and NPM work together to make it easy to generate NPM packages with strict version control and straightforward installation.
·         Performance:
Node.js' performance has been lauded for its speed. Node.js is the go-to framework for resource-intensive projects because of its ability to run asynchronous code and the fact that it is powered by Google's V8 engine.  Ruby on Rails is 20 times less efficient than Node.js.
·         Scalability:
Ruby's scalability is constrained by comparison to Node.js due to the latter's cluster module.  In an abstraction-based cluster, the number of CPUs a process uses is based on the demands of the application.
·         Architecture:
The Node.js ecosystem has a wealth of useful components, but JavaScript was never designed to handle backend activities and has significant constraints when it comes to cutting-edge construction strategies.  Ruby on Rails, in contrast to Node.js, is a framework that aims to streamline the process of building out a website's infrastructure by eliminating frequent installation problems.
·         The learning curve:
Ruby has a low barrier to entry since it is an easy language to learn.  The learning curve with Node.js is considerably lower.  JavaScript veterans will have the easiest time learning the language, but developers acquainted with various languages should have no trouble.
Final Thoughts:
Both Node.JS and RoR have been tried and tested in real-world scenarios.  Ruby on Rails is great for fast-paced development teams, whereas Node.js excels at building real-time web apps and single-page applications.
If you are in need of a back-end developer, Nivida Web Solutions, a unique web development agency in Gujarat, can assist you in creating a product that will both meet and exceed the needs of your target audience.

Effective B2B Supply Chain Management for Success
B2B enterprises operate in a fast-moving ecosystem where performance hinges on seamless coordination. At the center of this complex network lies supply chain management—an essential function that drives profitability, efficiency, and competitive advantage. Effective supply chain management is not just about moving goods; it’s about managing relationships, optimizing systems, and building resilience across the value chain.
Tumblr media
Evolving Role of Supply Chain Management in B2B Environments
The traditional view of supply chain management as a back-office function has drastically changed. It now plays a strategic role in supporting sales objectives, enhancing customer satisfaction, and enabling business growth. As supply chains become more interconnected and globalized, businesses must ensure every component—from raw materials to product delivery—is synchronized.
In the B2B context, where clients demand high customization, reliable timelines, and competitive pricing, supply chain management must be agile and data-driven. This shift requires not only operational adjustments but also cultural transformation within organizations.
Agility: A Critical Factor in Supply Chain Management
Agility refers to the ability of a supply chain to adapt to changes quickly—whether due to market demand, supply shortages, or geopolitical shifts. Agile supply chain management enables B2B companies to maintain service levels, reduce lead times, and minimize disruption.
Key elements of agility include:
Short decision cycles enabled by real-time data
Decentralized decision-making across supply chain nodes
Flexible manufacturing and fulfillment systems
Rapid onboarding of alternative suppliers
By building agility into their supply chain management models, businesses can quickly pivot to meet client needs without compromising performance.
Centralizing Data and Insights Across the Supply Chain
Supply chain management becomes exponentially more effective when decisions are driven by real-time insights. In today’s digital world, companies have access to massive amounts of data—but the challenge lies in consolidating it and extracting actionable insights.
Centralized platforms offer visibility across sourcing, inventory, procurement, and delivery. Businesses can use these insights to:
Optimize warehouse space
Forecast demand more accurately
Monitor supplier performance
Reduce order fulfillment times
With centralized data management, companies can unify their supply chain management processes across regions and departments, creating a more responsive and efficient system.
The Importance of Customer-Centric Supply Chains
Customer satisfaction in B2B relationships hinges on more than just product quality. Timely delivery, accurate documentation, and reliable inventory availability all contribute to client trust and loyalty. That’s why forward-thinking organizations are restructuring their supply chain management strategies around the customer experience.
A customer-centric supply chain includes:
Real-time order status tracking
Proactive issue resolution mechanisms
Custom packaging and documentation
Streamlined returns and service processes
This approach turns the supply chain into a value-generating engine, reinforcing long-term relationships with key accounts.
Integrating Supplier Networks into the Supply Chain Strategy
Suppliers are not merely vendors—they are strategic collaborators in the supply chain management framework. Successful B2B businesses co-create plans with their suppliers to streamline operations and share performance goals.
This integration includes:
Joint demand planning
Vendor-managed inventory systems
Shared forecasting tools
Transparent performance reviews
By aligning strategies with key suppliers, businesses ensure consistent quality, reliable delivery, and reduced total cost of ownership. Collaborative supply chain management also helps both parties invest in innovation and process improvements.

Automation not only streamlines repetitive tasks but also frees up human resources to focus on strategic problem-solving, driving long-term business value.
Sustainability: The New Benchmark in Supply Chain Management
B2B clients increasingly demand environmental and social responsibility from their suppliers. As a result, sustainability has become a core KPI in supply chain management strategies.
Sustainable supply chain practices involve:
Sourcing from ethical suppliers
Reducing carbon footprints in transportation
Implementing circular supply models
Minimizing packaging waste
Beyond meeting regulatory requirements, sustainable supply chain management strengthens brand equity, attracts eco-conscious buyers, and prepares businesses for a future shaped by ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) expectations.
Scalability as a Growth Enabler
Scalability is one of the most overlooked but vital components of supply chain management. As B2B companies expand—whether geographically or through new offerings—their supply chains must be equipped to handle increasing complexity without sacrificing performance.
Key strategies for scalability include:
Modular infrastructure (warehouses, systems, tools)
Outsourcing non-core supply chain functions
Cloud-based logistics and inventory platforms
Third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships
Scalable supply chain management allows businesses to capture new markets, launch new SKUs, and serve diverse customers without overstretching internal resources.
Cybersecurity and Data Protection in Supply Chains
Modern supply chain management depends heavily on digital connectivity. With this comes an increased risk of cyber threats, which can compromise sensitive business data and disrupt operations.
To ensure security, B2B companies should implement:
Multi-level authentication systems
Encrypted data transmission
Regular cybersecurity audits
Partner vetting for compliance with security standards
Robust cybersecurity measures reinforce trust across the supply chain and protect business continuity.

Top Features of IPTV Subscription USA: Why You Should Switch
Understanding IPTV Subscription USA
As the world of entertainment continues to evolve, many American viewers are transitioning from traditional cable television to Internet Protocol Television (IPTV). With its diverse content offerings and flexible viewing options, IPTV has gained significant traction among consumers. This article will delve into the concept of IPTV, its advantages over conventional cable services, and the nuances surrounding subscriptions in the USA. If you’re considering an IPTV Subscription USA, you’re in the right place.
What is IPTV?
Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) refers to a method of delivering television content using the internet rather than traditional terrestrial, satellite, or cable formats. In essence, IPTV transcends geographic boundaries by utilizing high-speed internet connections to stream content. IPTV services commonly provide live television channels, video on demand (VOD), and even time-shifted programming (the ability to watch previously aired content).
Benefits of IPTV Over Traditional Cable
Transitioning from traditional cable to IPTV comes with a host of benefits:
Diverse Content Selection: IPTV services often offer a wider variety of channels and genres compared to traditional cable. This includes everything from sports and movies to international channels and niche content
Flexibility and Convenience: IPTV users have the freedom to watch content on various devices, including smart TVs, smartphones, and tablets, anytime and anywhere there is internet access.

How IPTV Works: A Technical Overview
Understanding the technology behind IPTV is crucial for users who want to optimize their viewing experience. The process begins when a viewer requests content through their device. This is known as a request for content.
1. Content Delivery: The content is delivered through the internet via a series of digital signals that are broken into smaller packets. These packets travel through various nodes and switches to reach the end-user’s device.
2. Decoding and Playback: Once the packets arrive, they are reassembled, decoded, and displayed on the chosen device. Uninterrupted playback requires a stable internet connection with sufficient bandwidth to handle streaming.
3. User Interaction: IPTV platforms often include electronic program guides (EPGs) that allow users to navigate through channels, search for specific content, and manage subscriptions.
Choosing the Right IPTV Provider in the USA
Selecting an appropriate IPTV provider can significantly impact your viewing experience. Here are some key aspects to consider.
What to Look for in an IPTV Subscription
Choosing the correct IPTV service involves assessing multiple factors:
Channel Selection: Ensure the provider offers the channels and content that interest you. Some services cater to specific interests, including sports, movies, or international content.

Legal Considerations for IPTV in the USA
When it comes to IPTV subscriptions, understanding the legal landscape is critical. Compliance with laws and regulations can affect your viewing experience and peace of mind.
Is Your IPTV Subscription Legal?
The legality of IPTV streaming can be murky, especially when distinguishing between legal and illegal providers. Here are the distinctions:
Legal Services: Many IPTV providers operate legally, securing licensing agreements with the relevant broadcasters or content creators.
Illegal Services: Some providers may offer unauthorized streams of copyrighted content, which can put users at risk of legal repercussions.
Understanding Copyright Issues
Copyright considerations are paramount when engaging with IPTV services:
Content Rights: Ensure your IPTV provider has the necessary rights to distribute the channels and content offered.
User Responsibilities: As a user, it’s essential to be aware that using illegal streaming services can result in fines or legal action against you.
Recommended Legal IPTV Providers
Here are some recommended legal IPTV providers:
Sling TV: Offers various packages with legal licensing and a wide selection of channels.
Hulu + Live TV: Legal service that provides access to numerous live channels alongside their on-demand library.
FuboTV: Popular for sports enthusiasts, providing legal access to several live sports channels.
