I just finished a few things in Minrathous and it rained the entire time the little team was there. I know what the rain and humidity does to my curly hair lol I like the idea that no one really knew how much hair they had until today. Which happens to me a lot when I wear my hair down or have a puffy curl day.

The BG3 break was needed because I kept hitting a wall with gameplay. The pace of Veilguard has been a relief, though I will be immensely sad when it’s over. It already feels too short of a game. But I have complicated feelings over the series ending. Like a strange form of mourning and grieving.

I know I’ll have to take a break from Veilguard before finishing it. Who knows when that’ll happen. I get so emotional, I’ll probably just keep restarting playthroughs before I allow myself to see the end game.

I’ll just keep enjoying the journey and delving into fanfic in the meantime.

Their first name was given by a friend who thought my name (Kyra) would fit with the period but I already self-inserted myself with Luca (as you may be able to tell) so,

I wanted to put a spin on it and named them Kyranix. It just seemed fitting, this outfit currently at this moment is her combat attire. I originally went in between combat attire and formal wear but looking at other fanart of the crumpets Earis and Zaros. Kyranix’s outfit just didn’t fit in with the period

When making Kyranix’s look I based her design off of Tanya from Mortal Kombat and Kida from Atlantis and some tidbits of Egyptian and Greek origins because for me that’s what the ethics he gets from their father and Queen Roena

Now when it comes to Sakuverse Oc’s I like to have them have some relationship to me in some type of way whether that be in appearance personality or experiences some of them might be unique some might be similar but for now Kyranix has a unique one is Vitiligo, now I have vitiligo, at a younger age I was scared and ashamed of it until I grew up and grown to appreciate it and that’s what I wanted for him but I had Kyranix a lot more vitiligo than I had,

Now ima skip the obvious parts. Kyranix is an effortlessly beautiful complex, layered individual—a mix of brilliance, fire, and deep-seated vulnerability.

I’d note that Kyranix is very smart she just chooses to not be on the daily but knows when the time comes to be serious they just like to mess with people as they prefer an unpredictable persona

Kyranix’s long hair and its style was a tribute to their father who wasn’t in their life long I kinda scrapped that idea because it didn’t make sense, especially with this alt costume

Kyranix herself won’t admit it but she does enjoy Zaros company as in all truth Zaros was his only true friend as many other people were just Kyranix’s friends because of their status when they were kids Zaros gave Kyranix a gift which was the marigold earrings they wear and swore and refuse to ever take off

I always associate this song with Law and my OC Hope in a slightly unserious sense, and it's not solely for the joke about Law's "interests", it's also because Hope does quite literally come back to life through looping through time, plus it's just a little fucked up like them. 😅 This part really does fit them though. 💙💛

This is how I headcanon colour appearing in The River. I also tried giving them both antlers matching their eye glow but I wasn't keen on it, I have a future piece it might fit better. I always imagine Lawrence with White-tailed deer(native to Canada) antlers turned backwards(not sane) and Hope with Roe deer(native to England) antlers the normal way around(sane).

Anyway, originally I thought the lyrics were a good representation of their reunion there, but I became attached to the colour version and it got me thinking maybe it fits their eventual reunion in the real world even better. They would have a lot to get over to make it work...

Getting back to this OC has been healing in strange ways. They are my main self-insert character in terms of personality Lennox is an expression of love on my part in so many ways.

I love that their fic with Gale is set post-game, so Lennox being here is like an AU of sorts.

My headcanon for the fic is that Gale has horrific nightmares about everything he endured. As time passes and begins bonding with Lennox, Gale starts to imagine them in these nightmares as a helping or calming presence. And sometimes as the kick in the ass he needs to admit how much things are impacting him.

Because that is Lennox in his life as his apprentice/academic advisee/colleague…someone who grounds him to reality but also challenges him. And helps remind him of his humanity in a good way.

Really, the aftermath fic is just my excuse to write a moodier, needs-to-deal-with-his-trauma Gale. And to share the focus more with Lennox. I’ve enjoyed writing him as the more primary character right now. Lennie has some good stuff coming. And their own issues. Gale and Lennox are dealing with a lot of anger. Lennox is just better at hiding it, or so they think.
