I've now edited the following disclaimer to the bottom of all my Murderbot fics on FF.net Because I'm still infuriated that someone literally read over a thousand words where the moral is literally "Do not misgender Murderbot" and still decided to cheerfully misgender Murderbot while complimenting the fic telling people not to misgender Murderbot.

Author's note, August 10th, 2023, since apparently I have to put disclaimers on all my Murderbot fics: If you misgender Murderbot by using they/them, he/him, or she/her pronouns for it, you're a bad person. If you leave a review, even a positive one, where you misgender Murderbot by refusing to use its it/its pronouns, you are a bad person and I would rather you not say anything at all. Real people who use it/its pronouns exist. We are not just hypotheticals for you to theorize about in regards to fictional characters. If you can't even bring yourself to respect the literal protagonist of the series you claim to love, you are not an ally to trans and nonbinary people. No, not even if you're also trans or nonbinary.  Either use Murderbot's it/its pronouns, or shut up entirely. 

and no you don't get a free pass to misgender it just because you apply other neopronouns to it. You cannot create representation by stealing it from other people. I wouldn't fucking headcanon a character that cannonically uses other neopronouns to use it/its pronouns instead, so you can show it/its users the same basic fucking courtesy.

I also wouldn't be fucking cruel enough to erase cannonically binary trans character by headcannoning them as Actually Being Nonbinary, but apparently nonbinary people asking for the bare minimum of respect is just asking too much from binary people at all, including the trans ones -.-

COMPUTER SECURITY & GSHADE

Okay tumblr is scaring the shit out of me!! I don't know where this whole narrative of "It's just so people don't tamper with the code!" and "it was so your computer reset if you downloaded from an unapproved source!" is coming from!

This is not the case!!

Someone made a patcher to make GSHADE presets compatible w/ Reshade. One of the Devs decided they wanted to go on a total power trip and made it so if you downloaded unofficial presets such as the presets you can find on tumblr that were originally made for Reshade the patcher to make your gshade stuff compatiable with reshade, your PC would restart!

This is NOT NORMAL OR ACCEPTABLE.

When you install GSHADE, you are giving it administrative privileges to INSTALL. Instead it's using these privileges to gain access to your KERNAL and IMPORTANT directories to shut EVERYTHING down when it finds the patcher or presets made by the patcher. All because the Dev was attempting to keep people from making a fork (patcher) of another fork (Gshade) of a program that they do not own (RESHADE).

In the face of all of this, the dev has proven that they have the ability to do the same or WORSE if they decide to do so (aka if someone else pisses them off). Please do not disregard the safety of your PC and the data on it simply because a program can take pretty pictures of your game. If you want to keep using Gshade, that's on you but DO NOT try to make this seem like it's not as bad as it actually is!

I'm not even going to bring up the fact that I've spent over a week now fighting not to be misgendered on what was my favorite fucking website because that isn't even relevant to the fact that every single post about it/its has at least a dozen nonits repeating the exact same fucking exorsexist bullshit about how it's soo difficult to use it/its pronouns and why are you being so mean to people who are learning English for the first time?????

Zyg, literally fucking no one who uses it/its pronouns, and no one who is making positivity posts for it/its pronouns, is getting mad at people who are learning English for not speaking it fluently yet. Literally no one.

Coming onto a positivity post for it/its pronouns to pretend that we are getting pissed off at people for trying to learn a new language and not knowing the rules yet and getting mixed up is literally just further demonizing us when we are literally already demonized by everyone else in society including other trans people.

If you wouldn't make the comment you're planning to make about it/its pronouns on a post about she/her or he/him pronouns, instead of commenting, shut the fuck up and learn to actually respect it/its users for real instead of just doing it performatively.

Leaving comments on positivity for it/its users about how hard and uncomfortable our pronouns are to use and how icky they make you feel and demand that no one ever ever ever use them for someone who doesn't ask you to, you are being exorsexist. You are demonizing us. You need to shut the fuck up and actually support us. Literally no one on this fucking Earth thinkgs calling someone who does not use it/its pronouns is okay. The reasons bigots do that is because they know, specifically, that it's not okay.

But because we're talking about a majority nonbinary people, and especially a majority of fucking nonhumans, well now all of a sudden, being a horrible fucking person and ruining every speck of positivity we create for ourselves is fair game!!! It's totally fine!!! Why should we get to have any posts that just genuinely support us, anyways?
