Hi hopefully I dont word this wrong :') Do you have a compilation of definitions of some of the newer words youve been using? Like Athiktomisics, Transmisia, Etc. I know ive seen when you made the posts but I cant find them cause tumblr is tumblr :') I think transmisia is just transphobia but reworded since its not a phobia but for some of the others im a bit lost on.
Thank you for asking, you didn't word this rudely at all! Thank you for being willing to learn!
Transmisia
Transmisia is indeed ""transphobia" but minus the "-phobia" suffix, because hating trans people isn't an anxiety disorder like phobias are, and people who do have phobias get treated horribly because people think it means they're bigots when they're not.
The -misia suffix comes from the word "misos" for "hatred", which is also where the word misogyny comes from! Miso-hatred, gyn-women. Misogyny = hatred of women.
_____
Athiktomisia (link to coining post)
Athiktomisia is bigotry towards people who are touch averse, with athikto translating to, roughly, untouchable or thereabouts, and the -misia suffix like above indicating hatred. Athikto+misia = hatred of those who are untouchable.
_____
Solitaremit, soliteremity, etcetera (link to coining post)
Solitaremit is a specific form of touch aversion where the person is touch averse, and also does not get ""touch starved"" or have any desire for touch at all, specifically created because many touch averse people who do not get touch starved were being alienated even in touch averse spaces, because desiring touch and being touch starved was still behind held up as normal and universal.
Solitaremity is...uh, the state of being solitaremit. Example sentence: Most people, even those who are otherwise touch averse, don't even know that solitaremity exists.
Solitaremity was created specifically to be a unique word that is brand new, and thus (meant to be) easy to search for and find, combining the words "solitary" and "hermit" for maximum emphasis.
_____
Solitaremisia
Solitaremisia is, again, the -misia suffix, combined with solitaremit to specify hatred against people who are touch averse who specifically do not desire touch in any way, even with touch starvation. Which is unfortunately a common attitude even in other touch averse people :|
_____
Gregariable
Gregariable will probably be used at some point, it was created as the counterpart to solitaremit, it means someone who desires touch and gets touch starved, whether or not they're also touch-averse. Aka, 99.99% of people are gregariable. It combines the words "gregarious" and "sociable" to create a unique word so that it would be easy to search for.
_____
Aroacemisia
Aroacemisia is bigotry against aroace people in particular, again with the -misia suffix to indicate hatred.
Amisia, acemisia, and aromisia are hatred towards aspec people in general, hatred towards asexual people, and hatred towards aro people.
_____
Exorsexism
Exorsexism is the specific hatred of nonbinary and genderqueer people, which is separate from, but sometimes a part of, transmisia.
Murderbot is nonbinary, so any transmisia it faces is inherently exorsexist.
_____
It its antagonism
it its antagonism refers to hatred targeted specifically at people who use it/its pronouns, usually always combined with exorsexism. It its antagonism is a form of neopronomisia.
_____
Neopronomisia
Neopronomisia is hatred of pronouns other than she/her or he/him. This includes but is not limited to pronouns like it/its, te/ter, and they/them.
_____
Let me know if you need any more defined!

Tumblr media
[ID: A six panel comic titled, "Using Neopronouns…"
The first panel shows a cis person talking to a long line of trans people who continue off screen, who are each wearing a pronoun pin -- "he/him", "she/her", "they/them" and "ze/hir", and have the trans pride flag over their heads, with stripes of blue, pink, white, pink, and blue.
The cis person says, "Your pronouns make me uncomfortable, so I'm going to misgender you.".
The second panel shows the trans people who use "he/him" and "she/her" pronouns looking at the rest of the line, which consists of they/them, ze/hir, star/stars, and it/its, and saying, "Your pronouns make me uncomfortable, so I'm going to misgender you.".
The third panel shows the they/them user now talking to the ze/hir, star/stars, and it/its users, and is saying, "Your pronouns make me uncomfortable, so I'm going to misgender you.".
The fourth panel shows the ze/hir user saying "Your pronouns make me uncomfortable, so I'm going to misgender you.". to the star/stars and it/its users.
The fifth panel shows the star/stars user saying to the it/its user, "Your pronouns make me uncomfortable, so I'm going to misgender you.".
The last panel shows the it/its user standing alone, saying nothing but "sigh".
End ID.]
The transmisia, exorsexism, and neopronomisia are coming from inside the house.
To quote Leslie Feinberg:
"We can never throw enough people overboard to win approval from our enemies.”
(Transgender Warriors: making history from Joan of Arc to Dennis Rodman)
Ask yourself: "Am I literally repeating the exact same bigotry that cis people subject me to?" And if the answer is yes, cut it the fuck out.

[ID: A detailed digital painting of a knight in shining armour escorting a princess through a crowd, with the knight's shield and cape lifted to shield the princess from the sight of the crowd. Text has been added, labling the crowd, "'TERFs' (as though it's only TERFs that are bigots to trans people)", the shield, "Neopronoun users", and the princess, "'real' trans people (which neopronoun users aren't apparently)". "TERFs" and "Real" a re in quotation marks to show skepticism. End ID.]
other trans people, especially binary trans people, just fucking love "celebrating" neopronoun users, but only as far as doing so will piss off TERFs. Not even five minutes later the exact same person will be misgendering the neopronoun user they're supposedly celebrating, because they don't actually care about us or our representation, they just want to say they do because they know it'll piss off TERFs, who are apparently the only ones who ever misgender anyone ever.
sigh.

what in the absolute fuck is with the Doctor Who fandom going "Yeah it's so great this character uses neopronouns!" and then, literally, within ten words, on the exact same post, misgendering the character in question?!?!
It's like, a dozen fucking people so far???
what in the fuck is wrong with you people.
Do you think respecting neopronoun users begins and ends with saying "fuck yeah neopronouns piss off TERFs LOL!!!!!" and does not include actually using the fucking neopronouns????
Do not fucking misgender characters who use neopronouns when you are literally pretending to celebrate neopronouns! What in the absolute fuck!
If the only reason you're happy a character is using neopronouns is because you know it'll piss of TERFs, and literally misgender the character you're supposedly celebrating, you're not actually a fucking ally to neopronoun users. Why the hell does this need to be spelled out to you. Do you think it's literally only fictional characters who use neopronouns??

I was going to make a post like this yesterday but then I got distracted and I'm actually too lazy to make the proper post now but I am really tired of the Doctor Who fandom in particular seeing people criticizing bigotry in the Canon and telling people that they should just shut up because Canon is whatever you want it to be so instead of criticizing what is it in the show they should just go listen to some fucking audios or go read a million or one books and stop complaining.
And they're literally just doing this to stop people from criticizing the canon, not because they actually want people to have fun with other storylines or anything they literally just want you to shut up and stop calling out racism and misogyny or whatever the fuck it is you're criticizing.
There's a big fucking difference to saying "Cannon is fake so do whatever you have fun with and fuck the bullshit this one particular writer did"
And telling people "stop criticizing Canon shut up I don't want to hear you criticizing this show I enjoy. Shut up about the racism already shut up about the misogyny no one cares just go read a different book if you think this one is bigoted, calling out bigotry isn't important and you're just wasting my time"

if you literally can't even bring yourself to use a fictional character's neopronouns you do not get to pretend you support real life neopronoun users. If you only care about neopronoun users when our existance pisses off TERFs, you're a bad person.

~"normal"~ (read that in the most sarcastic tone you can imagine) trans people very clearly see neopronoun users as nothing more than funny anti-TERF shields but don't actually respect us. They just want to be able to hold us up to scare TERFs away and laugh at them but can't even be bothered to not misgender us while literally doing so.

cool wikipedia literally requires that people who use neopronouns be misgendered.
if I see one more person pretending that nonbinary people don't face any specific forms of oppression I'm going to jail.

"It/its aren't neopronouns, therefore it's okay to shit on them and the people who use them!"
yeah, I knew it would get to this point some day. This is what happens when you all insist that it/its pronouns aren't neopronouns and don't "deserve" to be considered such.

Someone who uses it/its pronouns: Yeah my pronouns are it/its.
Someone else: Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh holy forces of creation if someone called me an it I'd rage out and set myself on fire. I'd be so disgusted and horrified and revolted and enraged. I'd rather die than be called an it. I am viscerally disgusted by your pronouns. Oh my god. That's such a horrifying idea. Oh, but you do you tho...just don't ever even think of calling me an it or I'll blow up this whole planet and be traumatized for the rest of my life.

Why do people need to have it explained in 2023 that if you say "trans people's feelings shouldn't dictate how I run my blog" when literally all you're being asked to do is edit like, five extremely short posts to stop misgendering someone, that...literally just means you're a transmisic? Like? This is not even remotely in question? You're just transmisic! You are behaving no better from any cis transmisic or TERF!
Your argument for not correcting misgendering is literally identical to that of any fucking raging conservative off Twitter!
You think trans people's feelings aren't important enough to take less than ten minutes out of your day to edit a handful of very short posts that show up in the main tag of the character you're misgendering, to correct misgendering?
You think correcting your posts where you misgender someone is too much effort and a waste of time and not a priority?
And claim you just don't have the energy to deal with it because you're disabled, all while you literally go out of your way to expend 400% more energy to argue about it *and misgender the person you're arguing with* than it would have taken you to just edit the posts in the first place?
You're really more offended by *being asked to edit posts to stop misgendering someone* than you are upset by the fact that you accidentally misgendered someone in the first place?
And you think you're an ally to trans people? When you are literally repeating the exact same bigotry as any random trans-hating cis person off the street???
If you misgender someone by accident, great, that's fine, and not your fault that you were literally lied to about what pronouns to use. But once you know you were misgendering the person, it is in fact a fucking obligation to go back and edit the posts in question so you stop misgendendering the person. Yes, even if it's "just a fictional character".
Misgendering canonically trans and nonbinary characters affects real fucking trans and nonbinary people and encourages bigots in fandom to continue being bigoted. How you fucking treat marginalized fictional characters is a mirror image of how you treat real marginalized people.
And if, after explicitly being asked to do so, you refuse to edit posts where you misgender someone, because you think "trans people's feelings shouldn't dictate how I run my blog"...please just fucking admit you hate trans people and save us all the effort. Yes, even if you're also fucking trans and use neopronouns. Why do you think being trans means it's okay for you to defend misgendering.

You get a specific flavor of misgendering and transmisia/exorsexism from people who use multiple pronoun sets or even all pronouns, where they treat being misgendered like it's just this casual thing that's not actually a rig a big deal or a real problem.
They treat it like it's a theoretical concept whose definition should be nitpicked and philosophized over instead of a real concrete form of bigotry.
Which is why you see some of these people pushing to rename it to "mispronouning" because they don't feel misgendered when somebody uses whatever pronouns they want for them because they don't care about pronouns, and yet they completely ignore the deeper issues at stake when you are misgendered, and ignore and speak over everybody else who does have a specific preference for specific pronouns or uses only a single set.
The kinds of people who do this will brush off misgendering as not being a big deal, not something worth correcting not worth anything at all really.
And they'll argue that as long as somebody isn't using the *wrong* pronouns specifically, well then they can't possibly be misgendering you... Even if they're just straight up you refusing to use pronouns for you at all and insisting on only referring to you with your name, which if you don't use nameself pronouns... Is literally misgendering in one of the most absurd fucking ways. this person is expending 150% effort to only use your name instead of using your correct pronouns.
And I made this post before but you also get another flavor of this specific form of bigotry with non-binary people who exclusively use they them pronouns and think that neo pronouns are ridiculous and think that it's impossible to misgender anyone by using they them because they them is neutral, so it's fine to use for anybody even if the person explicitly tells you not to because its misgendering.
