There’s something about Halsin and Zevlor, the failed Paladin and the failed Archdruid.
Something about the one who lost his life’s calling and the one who’s been stuck in a job he never wanted. Something about how how they are both haunted by mistakes, by the dead they should have saved. Something about age and weariness and despair and finding hope and purpose at the end of it all.
Something about Tav and the tadfools being the only ones who didn’t fail them and the only ones they haven’t failed.
I don’t know if I ship it exactly, but there’s something there for sure.
Wolverine from X-Men: Evolution was a gay man, or at the very least queer. My evidence is as follows:
No defining/memorable romantic relationships with women AT ALL during the show's run. Jean was a teenager, he was an adult, and - unlike the Ultimate X-Men comics which served as inspiration for this series - these two did not have a romantic relationship nor did they have any romantic tension, the relationship between them instead mirroring a brother/sister one. The same can be said about Logan's other high-profile comics romantic interest, Storm, where their relationship was more like siblings as well rather than anything with romantic undertones.
For as rough as his brother's hands can be, they're gentle with him. Even when Ace couldn't return the kindness, Luffy endured him; holding fast to clenched fists and knuckles that were split and swollen. Persistent, stubborn even after Luffy pried his hand into Ace's and grit his teeth through the ache of Ace's bruising grips. Whining because he was a crybaby and it hurt, but never pulling away. Only squeezing just as tight in playful retaliation. Smile wide as he coaxed Ace's fingers out of their vice grip to clasp their hands together - warm and soft in a way that made Ace flinch. Because while there was dirt beneath Luffy's nails, there was blood beneath his.
And in spite of that—in spite of everything—Luffy never let go of him. Whether or not Ace feels worth that love and tender devotion, Luffy holds on to him: hands clasped together as Luffy beckons him on new adventures, a reassuring squeeze whenever Ace wavers, a bruising grip when Luffy is overcome; nails cutting into Ace's skin until Ace soothes him. Lips ghosting over knuckles - swollen and split).
honestly the best parts of eldritch abomination mk is sun wukong desperately trying to make mk feel loved and accepted without coming off as smothering or coddling him in training/finding ways to keep bugs outta his fur without mk suspecting anything. and also pigsy just finding this random random child and accidentally adopting the end of all things and making him work food service. honestly pigsys method is either going to bring him closer to ending the world or give him the patience not too
WHAT I'M SAYING.
"accidentally adopting the end of all things and making him work food service" I'm crying this is so funny. Pigsy built our boy up strong
I'm also crying from "sun wukong desperately trying to make mk feel loved and accepted without coming off as smothering or coddling him" Like. Literally. That is peak EAMK (Eldritch Abomination MK), it's how I interpret the characters, and it also makes me think of this scene:
MK: "Bu- but you can't just leave! What if someone attacks the city!? *terrified gasp* WHAT IF THE SPIDER QUEEN COMES BACK???"
Sun Wukong: "Awww you'll figure it out! It's adorable how nervous you are—but don't be! You've come a long way."

Wukong has unshakeable faith in MK, which a lot of the time can come off as dismissal or being aloof, but he really does just believe in MK that much.
I’ve never written about if but i know alot of peeps ship Drift x Cross and thats completely fine. But i’ve always personally loved them being best friends, a bond strong enough that the two would probably shut the world off together and accept each others rights and wrongs. I’m a sucker for sibling/ best friend dynamics because it tugs at my heart strings alot more compared to romance.
Nah but imagining Jai Long if he hadn't died like. His girlfriend's brother is the literal Empty Ghost and he was the one that cut off Lindon's arm in the first place and Lindon doesn't really approve of the relationship. Poor boy would be sweating
