this is the stupidest crossover possible but I want Tim to make House his doctor
yes that House
why? He needs someone who is very good, will not give up or send Tim out to a different specialist just because his medical condition is difficult, will not be overly concerned about the danger Tim puts himself in, and will lie on Tim's medical records AND to Batman/Bruce Wayne/all of the Bats without hesitation or fear.
House is and will do all of those things without hesitation. He has no shame, no boundaries, he WILL get into a public fight with Bruce Wayne if it means keeping that man out of his patient's (and House's) business. He will help Tim lie to and gaslight the rest of his family without hesitation.
in exchange, Tim is his favorite patient. Not because they get along, necessarily, Tim is a know-it-all little shit and they constantly bicker and House hates how practically every facet of Tim's existence is a lie (and Tim thinks House is a smug know-it-all jackass who is needlessly cruel and callous bc he thinks the world owes him and never delivers just bc he's in pain, news flash a lot of people are in pain and manage not to be assholes) BUT, 1, Tim brings him really interesting cases and problems, and 2, Tim NEVER lies to House about his medical conditions or what he was doing when they happened.
He lies about literally almost everything else under the sun TO everyone else, but he is 100% completely upfront and honest about his medical history and what is going on with him with House.
admittedly it takes a while for House to realize Tim ISN'T lying to him because some of the shit he says is completely insane ("the vigilante thing is pretty obvious but what do you MEAN you got the Apocalypse virus TWICE, AND SURVIVED, AS A FOURTEEN-FIFTEEN YEAR OLD")
but once he realizes Tim doesn't ever lie to him, he becomes House's favorite patient because at least TIM gives him all of the data he needs as best he's able the moment he asks. At least House doesn't have to waste his time following up on bogus information or figuring out the truth, he can just get right into the meat of the medical issue at hand.
also it's so fun to lie directly to Batman's face, know the man knows, and know he can't do anything about it

aizou is just soooo. boy who has had his views on love as a whole incredibly warped by his cheating estranged father and neglectful mother and (albeit guilty) brother who once abandoned him in that suffocating environment alone and yet still has so much love in his heart for them regardless
hahaoyatte especially really does convey his character and feelings regarding his mother better than any previous adaptation did. because really thats the core of it all!! thats why he wanted to sing in the first place!!! it had made his family smile Of Course thats all he knew how to do when yuko finally broke and while the trauma caused by her outburst at him cant be ignored you really have to understand even so. as unfair as it is even now he truly deeply loves her and wishes her well and always has been/will be important to him.
where do i even start with him towards yuujirou too. the guy who wanted to be acknowledged so badly finally being needed in turn. the one who truly revived his song again! the one who reminded me of the fun and why in the first place he sang at all!! hes always just a bit out of reach but inevitably there for him in arm's distance in the end. its no wonder yuujirous eventually become the one most precious to him who really taught him what its like to love someone. i fear only one person has ever truly understood me and i fucking hate the guy sort of situation for real. and he looks at him like this

Wifeplot #XXX: The Bell Of True Origins
The PIDW origin story (heh) of the pivotal artifact of my Scum Villain fic "on all my dying days (I swear)"!!! This is quite long, so the rest is under the cut <3
The Plot: The Bell of True Origins is a small bronze bell which, when rung, reverts the user in form to what they looked like when they experienced a turning point in their life, and brings them back to their current self once rung again
Specifically, it casts a mental manipulation spell on the user to subconsciously create a self-perpetuated illusion of that past self. This means that the illusion might not be a perfect recreation-- the illusion might be better-looking or thinner than they really were at that point. Or, if you're, say, Yue Qingyuan reconstructing what you felt like while qi deviating to death in a cave, even bloodier!
The Wife: Li Shuangjie is a non-cultivator whose younger twin sister (Shuangjue-- you can throw rocks at me for the name puns now) was killed was by some villainous rogue cultivator many years ago, and she's been hunting for revenge since
MANY years ago. Lsj is, at the LEAST, in her thirties, but I've been imagining her in her mid fifties. Battle between Airplane and pidw fans' perceptions of older women vs mine akdkfk
Lsj narrows in on this villain, finally, at just the time Bingge happens to roll into town. She befriends Bingge at an inn pub (he's undercover as a regular guy and is doing spywork for himself or something, idk). They hit it off, and Bingge is intrigued by how lsj clearly has something going on, though she won't share what. Lsj is drawn to him too, but she's too on-edge and too focused about being on the cusp of achieving vengeance to fall for his flirtations. (Yet)
Lsj comes across the Bell of True Origins-- I'm imagining an unscrupulous merchant pawning it off to her without explaining what it does besides it nominally being a cultivation tool-- and it reverts her to the dashing twentysomething year old she'd been when her sister was murdered
Lsj can't risk ringing the bell again, because to her knowledge this just deaged her by full decades, and she can't afford blipping herself out of existence, not now. But her efforts to find that shitty merchant again are unsuccessful, so her plan is now ruined; the rogue cultivator wouldn't have recognized her at her real age, but he'll definitely recognize her current appearance. She's devastated, and she goes back to that pub in abject shock and despair, at a loss for what else to do
Lsj meets Bingge again, who immediately recognizes her despite her looking oh so different, and she breaks down and confesses everything. Bingge valiantly swears to carry out her revenge instead, to lsj's astonishment
He indeed kills the villain and returns to lsj at her room in the inn (I'd say with the guy's severed head, but idk if Airplane can write romance like that)
At this point lsj has of course fallen madly in love with Bingge, and she tearfully tells him that he's done her a great service and there is nothing she can do to repay him
Obviously, Bingge proceeds to reveal that he's the Junshang and hits her with a few devastating come-ons, but lsj protests that this isn't her ~true~ self and he couldn't possibly want the real her
Bingge somehow produces the Bell of True Origins (he definitely murdered the guy who gave it to her) and solemnly tells her how it works, giving her the chance to use it on herself again
After great and serious contemplation, lsj decides to keep her young hot body, in the name of reliving the life she could not while hunting for her sister's murderer. She and Bingge immediately have sex. End of arc <333
This is widely seen as one of the more feminist wife acquisitions solely bc lsj is a milf and Bingge, gasp, even generously gave her the opportunity to keep looking the part!!!
Peerless Cucumber, of course, furiously reviled the arc for the ill-defined effects and unreasonable strength of the artifact, for stealing lsj's chance at the final blow against the man who ruined her life, and for lsj's personality doing a 180 as soon as she turned young again. But he did appreciate that Bingge and lsj actually spoke like companions before the arc devolved to papapa, and he thought her reasoning to stay young was actually pretty decent, even if it was obviously another sign of Airplane's lack of integrity 🙄
There was so much fanart and fanfiction about what the bell would do to Bingge. Hahahaha.

I suck at telling people's ages so what is the consensus about how old Carlo is suposed to be in that portrait? I personally give him 12 tops while I've heard other folks say 16. Or that he's got the same "physical" as P🤔
Fandom consensus? Not sure! I’m involved here, but largely for Gio 😅
As for how old he is in the portrait- hmmm!!! I suppose it could have a range, but he’s def got a bit of a baby face there. It could honestly go either way, I suppose! Cause looking at how round his face is, it makes him look younger. But you could guess an older age going by the definition around this brows and eyes. Tough call, I’d say!
That said though, I think he’s def younger in the portrait than what P is supposed to be. Cause I’ll give Pino like…he’s 20 at the MOST (I personally lean more towards 18-19). So sorry I can’t join the Pino thirst train, that is my boy son. My child I must see thrive. absbbdbd XD I also think Carlo was def in his late teens when he died. The portrait was likely painted when he was much younger (plus Yknow he’s got his school badge still)
Sorry if this reads a bit scatter-brained. Environment is Loud so my focus is 😵💫

While finally writing a thing, I suddenly remembered that I never shared (I don't think) when I HC Guizhong's birthday to be: the first day of each year, January 1st. Why? Well, I was thinking of the Guili Assembly, and how it seems really rather likely that it was created from the names that she and Morax, at the time, went by (not Zhongli, or... well, maybe that was exactly what he went by actually, come to think of it; why wouldn't he?) Which, to me, is further confirmed by the translation of the area's name's from the Chinese source directly. We have the 'Plains of Returning and Departing' (歸離原), which correlate with the meanings of a symbol in each of their names, the 'Gui' (歸) from Guizhong which means 'to return', and 'li' (離) from Zhongli, which means 'to depart'.
Now, regardless of the perceived nature of these two to others, I think saying that they're intertwined in stone (history) and memory either way, to hardly be far from a stretch at all. Now, keeping the above two translations in mind, and remembering that they put Zhongli's birthday in our western calendar on December 31st, I think January 1st would be a beautiful decision for Guizhong's. He represents the end of a fruitfal year, and she represents the start, or chance, of a new. I love the symbolism more than I can put into words.

Now that TMA is trending and we’re all collectively talking about archives again, I feel like it’s a good time to mention that the last time I went in for an interview to work as an assistant archivist, I tripped on my own shoelace midway through the workplace tour and nearly spilled a box full of literal human bones.
I still somehow got the job.
I don’t quite know what my point is here. Follow your dreams, I suppose? Archives are genuinely just Like That, although maybe mine is just weird? Either way, if I can manage to fuck things up almost irreparably during a first impression and still come out of it relatively unscathed, you can DEFINITELY do whatever you put your mind to. Just try not to spill too many sharpie-labeled boxes of human remains on the way there.
