It's been a couple of days since the last QSMP lore stream and merch drop, and there have been two DRASTICALLY different responses from the fandom:
What the fuck oh my god why did they do this what the fuck >:( I'm very angry >:( I'm on twitter btw
Yayyy omg the Lore is back!!! :D :D :D Fuck twitter btw
I've seen SO MANY passive-aggressive posts coming from users on this website that are all saying something along the lines of, "I'm happy that the server is getting back on its feet! The eggs aren't in a coma btw, they're just out of service (looks at angry twitter users who can't get over the fact that things aren't being solved immediately)."
And, really, I think almost everybody on this website has missed the reasons why other fans are upset over the recent lore stream and the merch drop. They think it's all just whining about how things haven't been solved immediately, but it's really actually all about how things don't seem to have been solved at all.
See, the thing with the Egg Lore Stream was that, uh. None of the admins currently on hold know whether or not they have a job, including known egg admin Ryan. You might know them as Sunny's Actor, and they were pretty taken aback when Egg Lore was revealed to be happening last Saturday... without Ryan, or seemingly any other known admins whatsoever, knowing. And Ryan isn't a former employee, they're a current employee. They haven't been let go.
Ryan, and other current employees, have all been stating that communication between the QSMP higher-ups and the other admins hasn't gotten better at all. Nobody knows if they even still have jobs because the only way they find that out? Through livestreams.
Ryan, and any other suspended egg admins sticking around, only found out that they aren't, like, fired because of a goddamn lore stream.
And for former admins? It's interesting how the admin team put Pomme and Dapper in the little coma machine despite Pomme's actor, Lumi, and the French all saying that they'd rather Pomme die than get replaced, and Lumi isn't going back to the server. And Dapper's admin, Shade, isn't going back without Lumi.
So imagine being them and finding out through this stream that, oh, wow, you're just going to be replaced. An entire language group is quite possibly going to be lost, but it's fine! Actors can just be replaced, right?
Just like how Twitter admins can be replaced by a bot after being fired in the middle of the night with no warning.
Oh, and shall we mention how it seems that the whole Money Thing isn't going anywhere? How we had a paid writer admin come out and say that even after the changes were starting to be made internally that the higher-ups changed the writer's description of the Pomme figure to be as soulless as possible, because if there's one thing the QSMP admin team seems to have, it's a grudge against the French. But then, remember? The writer said that, despite being paid for February and being promised to get paid for March, that they haven't been paid? And they don't think they ever will be?
And how they thought they would be fired for speaking to their friends, aka former admins?
I think that quite legitimately every admin that has come out after leaving the company, or who is still part of the company but who still made a statement anyway, has said that they hope that the QSMP can continue because they believe in the project, but they don't know if it will because nothing seems to be changing behind the scenes.
But, yeah, sure, okay, say it's all just people whining about how change hasn't been immediate. It's people just complaining about the lore! They need to grow up, right? They need to touch grass? Right?
But, well. Being critical is absolutely vital. Does that mean people should harass the admins? Absolutely not. But that does mean that people should be like, "Hey, so why is the admin team still being so shady?"
Things can't be fixed immediately, but it's been over a month. The problems with communication are still continuing! They haven't stopped! It's just that nobody on this website is listening to the admins anymore.
Trusting ccs is fine and all, but keep in mind that they didn't know what was going on before, either. With the general lack of transparency still going on behind the scenes, how would they know if it's all been fixed now?

One super fascinating thing about Kristen's current arc in JY is how much it reflects real-world conversations I've been following about effort and consistency and reliability in relationships. Specifically, I've been reading about the resentment in (primarily het) relationships caused by uneven distribution of mental load and repetivite, constant labor between partners.
Follow me now-
I've seen a few posts on here from people who have ADHD highlighting how realistic it is to their experience that Kristen is SO GOOD for doing grand acts and big miracles, but struggles so deeply with "the boring stuff". Upkeeping social media for Cassandra/YES!, consistently holding meetings to maintain whatever following she does develop for her gods, even just bi-weekly essays. I can't speak to the ADHD experience myself. However, from my relationships with people who have it and a decent amount of the posts I see on this website, that is a consistent manifestation of the disorder.
Dovetailing from that is the very real conversation I've heard time and time again about people whose family/friends/partners refuse to help with the little tasks of keeping a home in order or a project on track, but will pull through for big events under the assumption that it balances things out. It's a conversation that occurs a lot in spaces of studying gender dynamics in relationships - i.e. In a dynamic where the wife is responsible for doing all of the cooking/cleaning/grocery shopping/organizing, the husband will do a singular, high-effort task or grand gesture, "I built you an armoire!", "I took the kids out for a full day so you could relax!" and reference that singular event or task as a counterbalance for smaller tasks they do not aid in (daily dishes, laundry, running errands). This can also take the form of one partner doing grand gestures on occasion, but not showing up in smaller ways throughout the relationship on a day-to-day level.
-Ex. Partner A indicates that would appreciate more frequent affection in the relationship, such as date nights, flowers, non-sexual physical contact, etc. Partner B responds by planning a fancy dinner, gratuitous non-sexual contact/complements, and buying a lavish gift - but they do not increase displays of affection in their daily lives. Partner A mentions that though they appreciate the gesture, it didn't solve the initial problem, and Partner B doesn't understand why all of the obvious effort they put in isn't enough. The cycle continues and resentment grows as both people feel like their needs aren't being met/their efforts aren't being appreciated.
(Sorry if that's an over-explanation, I'm trying to be clear lol)
I think a lot about two things Cassandra said to Kristen:
"You're unreliable." and "It's not fair." in the context of these dynamics.
I've seen a decent number of people talk about how mutually unfair bringing Cassandra back was for both her and Kristen. I have also seen a lot of very valid arguments about Kristen being a LITERAL CHILD who makes a lot of impulsive (re: bad) decisions because she cares so deeply about specific things. We've also seen that Kristen CAN be so good in the little ways (Giving Lydia Barkrock the Help action, supporting Tracker through her bullshit, trying to do okay in school to help Riz). For all intents and purposes, there is no actual lack of effort on Kristen's part - she very obviously cares deeply. However, those efforts are more occasional and case-by-case than something constant, like going out every day to spread the word of Cassandra or doing something boring like homework.
Cassandra, whose entire thing is that she's always there to offer support -"I'm there holding your hand in the dark"- knows these things as well. She knows what Kristen is capable of. The hurt, then, doesn't come from the fact that Kristen can't but because, for some reason, she won't.
In conversations about how certain partners... underperform in relationships, one theme that often arises is that of, "I know he can do it, he simply doesn't." Whether that be daily chores or consistent acts of affection, Partner A has seen Partner B be helpful or put effort into things that they find interesting. There is no question of capability - Partner B can do whatever it is Partner A requests. Partner A thus concludes that Partner B doesn't because they don't want to. -Ex. "He refuses to help me because he doesn't care about me/He doesn't think I'm worth the effort."
While I obviously cannot make a true 1-to-1 comparison between this particular manifestation of Executive Dysfunction in people with ADHD and lackluster partners in relationships (I am aware that it is deeply harmful to imply that being a "bad" partner is in any way correlated to any singular disability), this is a degree of parallelism to be found in the Kristen/Cassandra dynamic and the type of dysfunction I reference in above examples. There is the caveat that if you have ADHD and know you struggle with doing things that are smaller or more tedious/repetitive, you can work with the people in your life to accommodate that. Additionally, men (at least in the US) are traditionally socialized to undervalue the traditional female labor that is caretaking.
That said, in universe, Kristen doesn't seem to know she has ADHD and thus could not articulate her limitations to Cassandra - and even if she could, it might not have solved the problem ( though it could have kept Cassandra from getting so upset).
The entire reason I wrote all of this is that I've seen several responses to the most recent preview for FHJY wherein Kipperlily Copperkettle accuses Kristen of not caring (and, to be clear, Kristen fully does not care about the Presidency. That is very likely what KLCK was referring to, and she is not wrong in being upset if Kristen wins this thing she hasn't even bothered to campaign AT THE SCHOOL for). The trend in the responses has been people listing Kristen's miracles more than anything, and while those do prove that she does CARE about SOME THINGS, it doesn't address the fact that for most people care is displayed through active, consistent, reliable effort rather than big dramatic displays: While the shrimp jump was cool, it does nothing to prove that Kristen gives a shit about student government.
#this is barely coherent#there's just this wild juxtaposition that I feel like comes up a lot on Tumblr#it seems to happen specifically with ND characters that people see a lot of themselves in#where even if the flaws and complications of that Neurodivergence are being assessed and deconstructed#people will plant their feet on “she can do no wrong!”#and sometimes it's whatever because it's just a fictional character#but other times#like with Kristen Applebees#where the defensiveness has the flavor or being deeply honest#which concerns me#like I truly hope y'all are putting more effort into handling real world criticism than you do with fictional shit#the instantaneous demonization of anyone who isn't tooth grindingly supportive of the Bad Kids (namely Kristen) is worrying#kipperlily is allowed to be mad at Kristen for winning! She may have done some shifty shit#but you can't say she didn't try really hard to win#and Kristen didn't even do her own shrimp jump. she only ran because she immediately disliked kipperlily#and ever Kristen's reason for disliking Kipperlily isn't fair???#Like it started before they realized the whole rat grinder conspiracy#she just didn't like that Kipperlily was a Type A overachiever#which has nothing to do with Copperkettle#and everything to do with Kristen's own insecurities#as for the relationship aspect#i have a lot of concerns about how people on Tumblr talk about relationships#let me die#if i die#d20 fhjy#fhjy#dimension 20#rant#kristen applebees#i guess

QUICK CHAT ABOUT COD CHARACTERS AND THEIR MBTI TYPES PT 1.
Hi!!! So, I was just scrolling through Tumblr late at night and I saw some headcanons, where the creator mentioned Ghost's MBTI. It reminded me that I had a word file saved, discussing about the characters and their MBTI. But, I haven't finished it, so I'll just ramble some of my thoughts here instead.
I want to begin with Ghost. Seriously, I genuinely want to understand why people type him as an INTJ, the guy is not a Ni dom at all. And also, let’s just exclude here any chance of him being an INTP. But, I do see Ti and Ni in his functions. In my opinion, he is an ISTP 5w6. For those unfamiliar, ISTPs have Ti (dominant), Se (auxiliary), Ni (tertiary), and Fe (inferior) in their functions.
I'll be honest, this inferior Fe makes me doubt a bit because Ghost seems much more like a Fi user. However, considering that Fe is inferior and theoretically his weakest function, it makes sense. And, to me, what makes ISTP the most obvious choice is that this man really isn't a Ni dom or a Ne aux type. But like I said, I do see some Ni in him, but very weak, which excludes the possibility of him being a Ni dom, and adds the possibility of him being a Ti dom. But, he has zero Ne, so he can’t be an INTP. Just to clear things up, I don't think analysts can't be impulsive or that sensors are dumb, not at all. But they do have some tendencies, and you can see differences in how they deal/view the world.
So, let me give an example of a character who's an analyst: Laswell. She's the embodiment of an INTJ. Price and Ghost deviate so much from her. Both of them should have both Ni auxiliary and Ni dominant, respectively. The way both of them deals with Shepherd and Graves betrayal makes it very clear how they aren't intuitive types for me. They’re incapable of seeing the other side of the situation. And I know it might sound like a crappy argument, but speaking as a Ne aux, I always open myself to possibilities even if I DISAGREE, especially if I can benefit from it. You know who else does that? Laswell. A Ni dom. It's very clear her Ni/Te, and that's why compared to Ghost, I don't understand why people type him as an INTJ. Personally, I think Ti and Ni can be easily mistaken. And for me, Ghost's Ti is pretty obvious, the way he is practical, and how he analyzes things, and his Se aux helps him to be very aware of his surroundings (of course, there are more than that in Se aux). But to me? there's nothing more Ti/Se than that. I'll just drop here two brief descriptions of Ti/Ni dom that make me pretty sure Ghost isn’t a Ni dom.
"Introverted Intuition seeks underlying patterns that can predict how events will unfold in the long term. The primary goal is to understand cause and effect accurately, enabling confidence in problem-solving and avoiding causing issues. Individuals with this dominant function tend to be 'perceptive,' often capable of 'seeing through' situations by finding the 'real importance' or 'essence' or 'root' or 'meaning' of things and understanding the fundamental factors that will influence how situations unfold, connecting past, present, and future considerations in non-linear ways. They unconsciously seek vaguely familiar patterns of contextual variables and tend to gather multiple perspectives to synthesize and visualize 'the true truth' or a better version of life. In this way, they tend to be quite certain about how they want their lives to unfold, usually aspirational in pursuing meaningful goals with focus and determination as they seek to realize their personal potential."
"Introverted Thinking seeks to discover rules or direct formulas based on facts to guide thinking and behavior towards greater consistency and coherence. People with this dominant function tend to be highly analytical, preferring to adopt positions/judgments that are as free from biases or undue influences as possible. They often enjoy building skills and accumulating technical knowledge by systematically analyzing and deconstructing ideas/situations, preventing and solving problems, and manipulating systems to fix or enhance them. In this way, they can be dispassionate and self-sufficient in approaching situations with their refined knowledge, often admired for their calm and competent approach to solve problems. However, they may also become emotionally detached from situations due to the excision of the human perspective, incorrectly assuming it is irrelevant to their analyses. When people don't know how to use Ti properly, they tend to be overly reductionist, seeing only a simple cause for a complex situation and unable to recognize the gaps/flaws in their own reasoning process, especially when trying to understand issues in relationships and social contexts."
“The reason the two get confused so often is because, one: they are both introverted functions which makes them hard to see and distinguish, and two: they are both abstract. Ni collects and stores abstract information, while Ti makes abstract connections and conclusions.”
“Ni is a 'perceiving' funtion, which is different from Ti because it does not do the 'judging' which is Ti's role. Ni in simple words is seeing and thinking about things very deeply to find connections and therefore form certain hunches or predictions. Many Ni dominants may have a conclusion which they got to, but they don't know how to explain the way they got to it. Ni uses more subconscious thinking than Ti does. Ti on the other hand analyses even more than Ni does, and sorts certain ideas, sort of like Pros and Cons, it is usually what can be the deciding factor.”
*Quick reminder: Ghost never anticipated Graves' betrayal, and didn't give any reasons that he suspected of Graves before that. He seems unfazed when the betrayal occurs, but that's because it's not something new to him.
So, while I can argue that his lack of Fe may simply be because it is an inferior function, hence less dominant and developed function (though I think he showed a lot of Fe during the whole Mexico situation) it’s hard to argue his lack of Ni because it's a DOMINANT function. And when we talk about dominant function, when is undeveloped, it doesn't indicate a lack of, but rather an unhealthy mode of acting/thinking/coping.
So, about Price... I think he's an ESTP. Stereotypically, he's not the typical ESTP. Unlike Ghost, who has a weak/undeveloped inferior Fe, I think Price has his inferior Ni very well developed, and that's why I think the fact that he is an ESTP is not so noticeable. Just as I compared Ghost to a character who shared the same MBTI type that was attributed to him, I will now compare Price to Makarov. In my opinion, Makarov in this game is a good example of an ENTJ. If you compare the characters and the way they behave, you’ll see that Price has a liiittle more difficulty seeing beyond the obvious, and for me, if he had Ni aux as many point out, he would have anticipated many of Makarov's actions. And I go further, I also believe he would never have let Makarov live back in 2019, recognizing the threat that Makarov was, if he were and ENTJ. Because ENTJs tend to thinking ahead, if they have a problem they’ll think in a way to solve pragmatically, effectively and definitively for once and all. Also, Price is highly reluctant to work with Shepherd, showing a lack of Te/Ni, working with his enemies to achieve his goals is not his first thought (but it’s Laswell “first” thought, a Ni dom). It's not about trust, but personal/team/world gain. Again, he’s incapable of seeing the big picture. And, of course, he has a significant amount of Fe, the way he is a great leader, communicates effectively with people around him, and bond with his team proves that.
I think all the quotes I put up above really show how neither Price nor Ghost use Ni in their first two stacks. But both of them use Ti. There's this stereotype that sensors aren't that smart, so when you've got two characters who should be the best of the soldiers, really smart and skilled, people tend link them with the “best MBTI types” and type them as Ni users (completely bullshit, they just do this because they don’t know how functions work). And again, when you compared them with two Ni users (Laswell and Makarov) you can see how different they are.
I'm gonna do a part two and post it later because I wanna talk about Gaz and Soap too (and some other characters, but the two of them are my main goal now), but I think this one ended up slightly longer than I planned.

Rolin Jones saying he made the show for neilcfreak doesn't absolve her of her racism and general unpleasantness. It proves two things. That Rolin doesn't know anything about fandom and if he does doesn't care. And two that even the most wretched white people get good things. They get to slip into spaces they shouldn't even after being terrible while Black people who are more deserving don't.
Also let's not kid ourselves. Rolin makes this show for Lestat and the huge boner he has for Lestat. When he found out AMC had bought the books he begged to be put on the project and had his own production company come up with a brief to present to AMC.
He's said repeatedly that he can't wait to do the Lestat season and that he enjoys writing Lestat. By the way I have no problem with him loving Lestat because that hasn't stood in the way of Season 1 being as good as it is.
I'm just saying he didn't know Gorrei before he spent money to pitch the show. So let's take that with a grain of salt.
I'm p sure Rolin says a lot that he doesn't read stuff online. he's also a white guy in his 50s with a long history of working in television. it's ttly different worlds. I don't expect him to know shit lol.
but ya that's the point ppl don't want u to focus on. ppl want u to think if I was nicer then we'd all sit down and solve racism in an hour and I could stop being so "jealous" and "have fun" too. lol but that's not real. all of this happening isn't v surprising because this is already what's been happening and will continue to happen. the white fandom ppl the show seeks out or who buy access to these spaces aren't more deserving or smarter (def not that lol) they're just white. anne rice was also just white. if she'd been anything else she'd have lost her job instantly for opening her mouth the way she did.
this is why white ppl need to be the ones saying things more because a lot of white fandom bs relies on white ignorance and appealing to white emotions. rn white fandom here isn't even mostly white ppl anymore and that's made it worse tbh. cuz they rely on usually showmey0urfangs or maybe keybearer to shout down at ppl how they're black and won't be spoken over.....while literally they have no community with the black fandom here anymore at all lol. neither one of them is american either btw. there's not a single well known black american fan here despite that being the main character of the show rn and plenty of fans fitting that description. if neilcfreak wanted to scream so loudly about "I'm (white) jewish so understand the struggle" when talking about racism then where tf is her solidarity for speaking on racist shit lol. couldn't possibly be that was only a way for her to avoid apologizing for saying racist shit? never....
white fandom only cares about protecting its own and having a specific identity only when it can be weaponized to avoid accountability. that's all anne rice did too. arguing with ppl and being a constant victim is a basic manipulation technique meant to exhaust the other side and "win" without needing to provide any real argument. these ppl can't talk about the themes of anything with any depth so u'll notice even when talking about the books, it's always broad mentions of "dark themes" without discussing them ever. they're only smart to themselves and that's why they're in my asks screaming I'm jealous of them. u can see how maven and them talk how superior they feel for this despite the majority of the fandom knowing they're stupid. ur just white, that's the end of it. u have never proven ur deserving of anything and I already know that's how the world works so lol. scream it at me as much as u want but it doesn't make it more true. ur just white and whiteness gets rewarded when u also promote white fandom shit. this group works together to promote each other for this reason but it's still usually only the white ppl getting the full benefits. ur bland af catering to the widest appeal possible. ur challenging nothing but needing to get in my asks to show off about it because ur so angry I'm not kissing ur asses lol. the lestat parallels never end I stg.
the one thing I think white fandom isn't prepared for tho is that maybe the Rolin's lestat won't be the version they expect him to be either lol. if ur familiar with stuff Rolin does I don't think he's gonna be what they want and that's gonna be so funny.

May I ask why William wants to keep Kate's pictures private? I guess it's because he wants to have an excuse for his laziness. However, after being absent from Thanksgiving for King Constantine, he continuously went to work for the next 2 days so I see that KP was trying to prove that Kate is okay. Will what Carole did have any effect on her daughter's marriage? Thank you
Tumblr media
William is a delicate, emotionally-damaged, control freak with a privacy fetish. William has always been a control freak when he is out in public and has always been so about his image. He lives in fear of the media, which is in sharp contrast to his father. Every statement that comes out of William's mouth on an engagement is pre-planned. He is too insecure to do engagements freely like his father, mother, brother, or even his wife.
Kate's proof-of-life photos today became necessary after the fiasco last week when William pulled out Constantine's service at the very last minute. Sure, Will's "fans" will make every excuse for him, but when he cited "personal reasons"--or whatever his exact phrasing was--everyone's mind immediately jumped to Kate because he last used the excuse he couldn't do any work because Kate was in the hospital for almost two weeks. And then she was home for a while. And then the kids were out of school for a week. And so on.
Except that proof-of-life photos should have happened when she left the hospital. But they didn't. And if those photos had happened back in January instead of early March, then last week's fiasco on social media would not have happened. Why couldn't Kate have worn a pair of sunglasses upon leaving the hospital while been photographed driving away? It would have been very easy to do and would have solved a lot of pr problems. As I said back on 29 January 2024, "some royals understand the importance of proof of life, while others clearly do not."
William is insecure and doesn't want to do anything because he has too much fear in him. He doesn't know how to handle any kind of crisis. It's been obvious since the day Kate's "planned abdominal surgery" was announced the day after it (allegedly) happened.
Tumblr media
Because all the Wales fans are unable to understand that after Kate went into the hospital for her surgery, KP should have spoken to the press the day of the surgery. Once she entered the hospital, there would have been no need to wait A FULL DAY later to mention that she had "planned abdominal surgery," if it really was "planned."
Announcing the day afterwards makes it appear as if William & the KP comms team were scrambling to figure out how to announce things. If the surgery really was "planned," then they would have known the recovery time prior to her surgery even taking place. Again, if it was indeed "planned." However, William & KP's actions seemingly demonstrate that either it wasn't "planned" or that Kate was medically unstable, either before or after her surgery or perhaps both. Because if it was "planned" and everything went according to a pre-scheduled "plan," then William & the KP comms team would have & could have updated the UK media in a more appropriate and timely fashion. Except they didn't and still aren't.
When Tom Bower mentions that the press knows more than they are saying, it's not a good look. It works only in the short term. William & the KP comms team clearly do not have a long-range plan and didn't have any kind of long-range plan for Kate's "planned abdominal surgery."
Carole AND Kate's move today isn't going to affect Kate's marriage in a negative way. Their move is more of an attempt to stop making the hole Kate is in deeper. The one who affected their marriage negatively has been William, for the last nine months. He has fucked up with handling Kate's reputation since last summer. Kate trusted his judgement when she shouldn't have last summer. Kate seems to now realize her mistake and is instead trusting someone with a better sense of judgement: her mother. Kate was left with no choice but to turn to her mother considering her husband has got an iron clampdown on the UK press, for now.
Tumblr media
I don't see the UK press adhering to William's embargo insistence in the coming weeks. It is going to backfire spectacularly. William is going to undergo a public reckoning in the press. Kate will too; however, the instigator of this mess has always been William and his control-freak iron fist.
I don't feel one bit sorry for him.

I just watched Total Forgiveness and I have a thought...
Ok, so I know this show is messy as hell and is 4 years old so I'm sure all the opinions there are to have have already been said. There's a lot to be said about this show, but the one specific thing I personally want to say about this show is this is why planning ahead, anticipating situations that may arise, and coming up with specific rules for all of them is super important for any sort of game, especially if lots of money is on the line!
Like, do I think Ally should have been able to tell when they were going too far and choose not to out of both friendship to Grant and just common decency? Yes, absolutely I do. Just because something is neither dangerous nor illegal doesn't mean it's a thing you should ask another human to do, even if it could be funny. I furthermore think that other people working on the show could have stepped in and just given a quick "hey, man, too far" and that may have solved lots of things.
But the absolute #1 thing in my opinion that would have made this show less of a nightmare was just doing some basic thinking about what sort of dares should even be allowed. Cause while Ally's dares were generally more mean-spirited and humiliating than the ones Grant thought up (not to mention the flea market one, which was in a class of it's own in terms of lasting ramifications for Grant), I think an equally big problem was that they came up with dares where the outcomes were not actually 100% in Grant's control - Lock-In and Flea Market were both challenges where Grant's ability to finish the dare was ultimately up to other people, and Bell and Performance Art both required him to be able to make his body do something at will with an audience present, something that frankly isn't necessarily possibly through sheer force of will.
Grant, on the other hand, never gave Ally a single task where the completion of it relied on other people. He did give them several dares where the main difficulty was overcoming a mental barrier (Coffin, Snake, Tattoo), but with those, winning basically meant not panicking while something scary happened, whereas in Performance Art and Bell, Grant had to both overcome the automatic mental response ('don't poop,' and 'nothing about this is sexy' respectively) and also try to force his body to do something that is typically a more-or-less automatic function.
And yeah, Grant gives Ally a lot of leeway because they were just playing the game more ruthlessly than he was, and it was all fair within the structure of the game, but I'd argue that they should have had a rule from the get go saying all dares had to be something you were sure the other person could complete. There's definitely some gray area there - for instance, I think for instance I'd argue Performance Art is fair game under that rule but Bell isn't, but I know that's a super weird and subjective distinction (and I don't have a penis so I'm not an expert). I think based on the nature of the game, you have to sort of gloss over things like pain tolerance and mental distress as legitimate reasons to argue something is not necessarily completable or the game sort of falls apart. In those cases, I think it sort of needs to be up to the players' and the producers' common sense and decency to stop them from going too far. But the fact that Grant could try his best and that doesn't necessarily mean he's able to get a spontaneous erection, keep 6 people in a tiny apartment against their will for two days, or make $1000 at a flea market to me clearly means those challenges just shouldn't have been allowed.
Anyway, I think this show does a plenty good enough job highlighting the issue of student debt by showing the amount of humiliation, physical pain, and emotional distress people are willing to endure to alleviate just some of that debt - adding onto that that sometimes the things they're asked to aren't even necessarily possible, while accurate to the real world, sort of ruins the game.

I thought I'd weigh in on the whole "do the Wheeler's know El exists and is dating Mike" debate.
So there are 2 possibilities here:
The first is that Hopper told the Wheelers the truth about El and how she's staying in his cabin (or Mike or Nancy told them with Hopper's approval). Here's what would have had to happen for this to make sense: Hopper would have had to talk to both of them about this very delicate situation (a thing we know he avoids doing because he doesn't want to talk to Mike and El) and the Wheelers would have needed to understand that El needed to be kept secret because she was in danger. This is plausible due to the fact that Brenner spoke to the Wheelers in season 1 about El so they know she exists. I highly doubt Brenner told them exactly what her deal was (He likely didn't mention superpowers or anything supernatural) but he made it clear that she is potentially dangerous by all the questioning and that he needed to find her to keep everyone safe. They also know that El was hiding in the basement and we see Mike (and presumably Nancy as well) get questioned by the police about the situation. So what they know is that Mike found this girl and hid her in the basement and there was some kind of showdown in the school resulting in people dying. It is unclear if they think she died during this time (that's what seems to happen to her and what the group believes) but Mike says "I'll never tell you" to the police and I doubt he told his parents. It's also unclear whether or not they realize this is related to Will's disappearance. It's possible they assumed Mike found her when looking for Will but we don't know much here. So this is about the extent of the info we actually see on screen and the rest of this is just guessing. Back to Hopper telling them the truth about her being there. I find this unlikely due to Hopper protectiveness of El and the fact that El understands how dangerous it is for too many people to see her and know about her. She knows she can't go to the mall or around town. There are already a lot of people who know (this group is big). Ted is the kind of person who hates all things unconventional and back in season 1 was cooperative with the police and Brenner saying "we're all patriots in this house" when asked to report any info about El. He frequently complains anytime things aren't the way they are supposed to be. So if Hopper told him the truth, are we supposed to believe that his man didn't notify the lab or the government? He already said he would. And the Wheelers have to know he's this type of person. Not to mention the fact that he is conservative and very much the "how is this my problem" type. And he what, just accepts this information and is cool with it? Then we have Karen, who is bothered by Brenner in season 1 and says he "gives her the creeps". She has a good read on the dude and is visibly worried and upset about Mike. She is relieved to be reunited with him at the end of the season. So if she knows this girl is still hanging around her son are we supposed to believe she's totally ok with this? She understands the situation is dangerous and she didn't want Mike anywhere near it in season 1. So what, Hopper explains she lives with him now and it's fine if Mike hangs out? Which leads to the next problem with this theory - Hopper was incredibly annoyed with Mike through the beginning the season 3. Mike is at his house all the time and never leaves. So if the Wheelers know about El and why Mike is hangout out at the cabin, all Hopper had to do was have a talk with Karen (something Joyce would have recommended since she was level headed about the Mike drama) and problem solved. No more Mike hanging out at the cabin. This could have led to El hanging out at the Wheelers but she never does this. Which leads me to believe that she isn't allowed to be there because they don't know about her.
There is a line in season 3 where Hopper tells Mike "your mom called. It's your grandma". They are at the cabin and Hopper is trying to get rid of Mike. So Karen has Hopper's cabin number. (Obviously Hopper is lying here and Karen didn't actually call. But Mike believes him and doesn't question this.) This does not mean she knows about El and could be for a couple reasons. 1) Hopper gave it to her in case of an emergency, 2) Hopper meant that Karen called the station looking for Mike and they either called Hop at the cabin or Hopper was told while at work. He's still in his uniform so he could have just gotten home. Or 3) (and I think this is the most likely scenario) Karen believes Joyce and Hopper are dating so the kids would plausibly be hanging out at his place. She says they are a couple at the carnival and Ted responds also believing it. Which means most people in town believe it too (of course they do, they are always together). So if the two of them are dating it makes sense that Will is spending time with him especially considering how Hopper saved his life and the whole town knows this. Which means it's plausible Mike and their friends are there all the time, too. (I want to note here that I don't think anyone knows about Hoppers cabin for safety reasons. Just that they think the number is for his trailer that we saw in S1. I'm assuming people in town think this is where Hopper still lives.) Now Karen also overhears a conversation over the phone between Mike and El (She spies on her children a lot). El is allowed to call their house (Hopper doesn't stop her and she seems to have the number memorized). All Karen hears is that there is a girl trying to get Mike to come over and Mike is lying and making up excuses. Karen also fixates on the nana being sick part and gets upset so it's unclear how much of this conversation she's actually paying attention to or when she started listening. So that "sweetie pie" line of Ted's. If this was simply a dorky dad teasing his teenage son about his girlfriend why does Karen very concerned at Mike after he says it? And why does Mike look wide eyed for a second like he's shocked he said it and then visibly annoyed. Because if he actually liked his girlfriend and that's who it's about, his reaction is very odd. It does fall in line with Ted's other passive aggressive comments about Mike not liking girls if it's about Will. Now at the end of the season El with her shaved head emerges from the pizza van her son was just in so I think at this point it's safe to assume that Karen will be putting the pieces together. But before this, I don't think it's likely that the Wheeler's know she lives with Hop or the Byers. There isn't enough evidence from the show to suggest they thought about her beyond season 1. And it's the 80s - parents weren't constantly asking where their kids were going and who they were hanging out with so it would have been easy to simply avoid telling them.
Edit: I want to add here that I don't think Ted would actually approve of El just because she's a girl. She isn't a "normal" girl. Ted was a jock who was likely popular. He likes things that are conventional and normal and El doesn't fit into this category. So he wouldn't be happy that Mike was dating a girl if it wasn't a girl who was socially acceptable. I don't think he would be ok with a vague story about her and even less ok with the truth. El is someone who would have attracted gossip and attention from the people in town if anyone had known they were dating and this would have embarrassed him.

lol yeah, it was on Twitter. it was brought up today when someone made a post on how aegon was/is alicent’s favorite. ppl jumped in questioning how alicent can truly love and choose her son when he’s a rapist and then things devolved from there. 🥲
anyways, i don’t want to bother you with my pre-baked thoughts and opinions so feel free to ignore but i feel like the writers are trying to tell two different, somewhat conflicting narratives - one, how it was only the patriarchy that stole the chosen one’s throne, and two, how the throne devours anyone and everyone who seeks it, causing characterization and storylines to clash.
imo the show lacks intersectionality. there are three main-ish characters they could use to explore this: cole, an ethnic minority and low-born (we know he’s not from some high noble home) who holds his knighthood, the epitome of a noble man, in high regard when in actuality they’re all protecting a corrupt system, Larys, who I remember during the hunt episode said he can’t partake in “things of men” or something like that due to his disability, and aegon, who inherited a birthright and role just because he was born male yet he doesn’t want it and doesn’t want what comes with being a targaryen son.
idk, these are just some thoughts. the patriarchy is a tool used to protect power and it affects women and men. all this to say, maybe they should have thought twice about making aegon a rapist (not every “bad” guy has to be a rapist).
First things first, sorry that Alicent feels a deep and unabiding love for her kids even when they do bad things, idk who hurt y'all but my mom once flat out told me that if I killed someone in cold blood she'd still love me even if was also disappointed.
(and also there's something about aegon being alicent's first kid and what he represented in a very lonely time in her life and all the complexities around their relationship and how they'll draw closer but i've discussed that a fair amount already in other posts)
I think you're hitting onto something when it's come to conflicting narratives within the show. I've mentioned this before, but this show has a significantly larger writing room than GOT and nearly every episode has a different writer, which means we've got ten different people telling their own stories in the midst of the overall story and eventually all coming into conflict. There's also just a lot of missed opportunities, like how Criston and Larys have interesting stories (one is an ethnic minority from a place that isn't even a part of the Seven Kingdoms and is at frequent odds with them as well as being lowborn, one is physically disabled and clearly discriminated against in his patriarchal culture due to that) that just aren't being explored, which I think is also due to how they rushed the timeline in this season. It does make the writing disjointed, and you get Rhaenys still bitter about being passed over one episode and then telling Corlys to let it go because she has the next, Aegon the irreverent rapist in one episode and then the guy who is willing to protect his mother from a dragon before she stops him in the next, etc. People can clash with themselves on occasion, that's called character growth, but when it just happens out of the blue because one guy wrote one thing and then the next guy wrote the other, it's just weird.
I'm always a bit leery of "the patriarchy affects men too" takes because, I mean yeah but that's realllllly not the main issue, that's a several rungs down the ladder sort of issue, but the show does have a problem in that it has a very surface level understanding of things like the patriarchy and sexism and how misogyny comes into play with other issues like class divide and rigid social structures and caste systems. That's why there's this odd thing they're doing with the idea that Rhaenya "Chosen By The White Hart Like This Is Actually The Last Unicorn" Targaryen is going to solve sexism just by being a woman on the throne and not delving deeper into that and the complex political power structures that rely on misogyny in Westeros. It's a very shallow understanding and it can make for a shallow story.
Aegon being a rapist meanwhile is just such an incredibly stupid and inconsequential choice that I hate for such a myriad of reasons that honestly? Unless they do something more substantial with that in upcoming seasons I'm gonna start ignoring it the way Viserys ignores his children because it is giving nothing. It's an especially galling choice because a) Aegon should not be "the bad guy", he is the leader of the other major faction in a full civil war, we should be getting his point of view and understanding his point of view and as TGC said, introducing him first thing as a predator turns a lot of people immediately off with no hope of getting them back and b) everything else they've done with Aegon is stuff I've really liked. Aegon wanting love so desperately but feeling like he's never gotten it and how that permeates his every interaction with the world, Aegon needing to be drunk constantly to cope with daily life because of how pained he feels (and specifically apparently needing to get blackout drunk before he engages in any sexual act, as told to us by Helaena, which is just such a wonderfully horrible bit of character information I don't see anyone discussing), Aegon being by and large a bit of a shit person but still feeling his affections deep down, like giving Helaena a present after "cheating" on her and immediately defending Aemond against Luke after he couldn't before and choosing to go along with Aemond and lie for Alicent even when his dad was screaming at him because for whatever else, even beyond bullying and forced incest marriages and feeling like his mom doesn't love him that's still his family and he does love them even if he thinks they don't love him back, his genre awareness, the way he, like Alicent, is doing his duty by becoming king even though he doesn't want it and hates everything about it and is terrififed of his fate. There's genuinely so much they've done with Aegon that's made him such a brilliant character to me, and one that I want to see more of (TGC I wanna see the Emmy winning acting in season 2, I know you can do it). So having this one stupid choice mucking it all up is incredibly annoying and so futile to the story at large, I hate it, I wanna kill it with dragonfire.

Spring 2020 Short Stories 🌸🌱
part 1 (ft. nero, owen, and mithra); part 2 (ft. shylock, arthur, cain, heathcliff, and murr); part 3 (ft. lennox, mitile, riquet, and bradley)
Spring 2020 Short Story 1
Nero: Hmm, I wonder if we have any twin-eggs left. If we do, maybe tomorrow's breakfast will be an omelette… Huh? Smells like something's burning.
Owen: Ahaha. This is fun.
Nero: Owen? What the hell're you doing?!
Owen: I wanted to try making a goopy, sticky, spongy thing, soaked in sweet condensed milk. But I ended up making something that looks more like the charred remains of a corpse.
Nero: Yeah, because you just threw all the ingredients together randomly… Ugh, what am I gonna do with this pile of charcoal?
Mithra: It smells delicious in here. What are you making?
Nero: Gah…! Another one of 'em…
Owen: You're just in time. Look, Mithra. It's your favorite. Go ahead, stuff yourself to your heart's content.
Nero: C'mon, now. Just 'cuz Mithra ain't a picky eater doesn't mean he'll wanna --
Mithra: Munch, munch. Oh, this is nice and crunchy.
Nero: No way you actually ate it… Is your stomach okay?
Mithra: Yes, my stomach is perfectly fine. And this tastes very good. You said I could have more?
Owen: See? The burnt mess is already taken care of. Aren't you lucky that your little problem has been solved so easily?
Nero: If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have had any problem in the first place… And how am I supposed to get the burning smell outta here before breakfast…?
----
Spring 2020 Short Story 2
Shylock: It's been getting quite warm lately, hasn't it? At this time of year, the time passes quickly, and your mind is more relaxed.
Arthur: That reminds me - the Great Sage once mentioned that in their world, when the weather begins to warm up, many people take it as a chance to try something new.
Cain: Huh, that's neat. Why don't we give it a shot and start a new habit?
Cain: For example, every night before bed, we can do 300 sit-ups!
Arthur: 300 sit-ups… What a brilliant idea! I'd like to give it a try as well.
Shylock: Fufu, that's a very healthy endeavor. When the time comes, allow me to support you by preparing a drink to ease your fatigue.
Arthur: Thank you! I look forward to it. Oh, I know - how about we invite the Great Sage to join us for our sit-ups?
Cain: Since it's part of their world's culture, it might make them really happy! Let's go find them now. Seeya, Shylock.
Shylock: Of course. Take care… …Hm.
(the two leave)
Heathcliff: Ah, Shylock. Didn't we just meet in the common area? When did you get here?
Shylock: Fufu. Heath, are you certain you know who you're speaking to?
(magic sparkle)
Murr: Ahaha! A resounding success! Didja see how good my Shylock was?
Heath: Woah, Murr?! That was a magical disguise…? But you had me absolutely convinced, so why did you give yourself up?
Murr: It's all part of the game! It felt like the right time to start a new round.
Murr: After all, spring is the time of new beginnings!
----
Spring 2020 Short Story 3
Mitile: Oh -- Mr. Leno, Riquet! Look, I found a tree covered in flowers!
Lennox: Ah, good job, Mitile.
Riquet: Mitile, thank you!
Mitile: Ehehe. Well then, let's set up under this tree. Spread out the cloth, arrange the lunchboxes… and we're done!
Riquet: So this is "flower-viewing"... Having a picnic under a tree in full bloom is a wonderful part of the Great Sage's culture.
Bradley: Well, lookin' at flowers while ya eat isn't gonna make the grub any worse.
Mitile: Uwoh, Mr. Bradley?! Why are you here?
Bradley: Pipe down, pipsqueak. The places I go are none of your business.
Bradley: Alright, let's take a little look-see at these lunchboxes. Tomato sandwich, coleslaw, bits a' fruit… No meat?!
Bradley: Seriously… Eatin' plants, starin' at plants, how's that fun? This "other world" sure has some lame-ass culture…
Lennox: …I'm sorry. I hadn't expected that any of us wouldn't be able to eat vegetables, Bradley.
Brad: Huh?
Lennox: Don't feel bad. Many children can't handle vegetables. They can be sensitive to the bitterness or unfamiliar flavors.
Brad: …Hey, buddy. Don't go treatin' me like a kid. Of course I can handle eating some puny vegetables.
Lennox: Haha, that's good to hear. Well then, let's begin our flower-viewing lunch.
Riquet: Ugh, after all of that, I'm starving…
Mitile: Don't forget, Riquet and Mr. Bradley! This afternoon's not just about eating lunch, but also about appreciating the flowers. Let's enjoy every bit of the flower-viewing day!

In My Heart - Eddie Munson
WARNINGS: S4 SPOILERS, angst, swearing, sad?, mention of grief.
SUMMARY: You and everyone else have just "defeated" Vecna and you all survived and are okay. (Eddie isn't dead and Max is fine lmao) Since Eddie is technically wanted for murder, he has to run away and leave town.
A/N: Writing this made my stomach hurt sooooo ALSO: keep in mind that Eddie is the one wanted for murder, not you. Eddie was the only suspect for Vecna's victims. You simply helped kill Vecna at the end of it all, and now Eddie (the main suspect) has to leave because they think he did it.
Your POV:
It had been two days since the group had defeated Vecna and all you wanted was for things to go back to normal. You had spent the last couple of days solving problems, investigating murders and trying to stop Vecna. Will, Mike, Jonathan and El had all returned to Hawkins and everyone got to explain everything to each other. They even brought a really cool guy from California, Argyle. You would usually enjoy other people's company but you just couldn't right now. You were constantly worried about Eddie.
Ever since he was named as the lead suspect in Chrissy Cunningham's murder, you had been constantly worried about the sheriff finding him and taking him away. Although you and the rest of the group knew that Eddie was innocent, you guys also knew that the police weren't going to believe anything you said.
Eddie stroked the side of your hair gently as you laid your head on his chest. You had given him some of your (father/brother/whoever)'s clothes to change into since his were all destroyed in the 'Earthquake.'
"Earthquake? Really?" You laughed softly, trying desperately to hide your tears.
"I guess it's the only logical explanation, ya know," He chuckled. "Since other dimensions and monsters aren't supposed to be real."
"Yeah, I guess." You replied as you wrapped your arms around his stomach and held him closely. He stopped playing with your hair to snake his arm around your side and hold you. The two of you held each other in silence for a moment, embracing the comfort of each other. With your ear pressed against his chest, you could hear the sound of his heartbeat slowing as he relaxed. The silence the two of you had created was soon interrupted by the quiet sound of your soft cries into his chest.
"Baby," He cooed, tears pooling in his own eyes. "Don't cry, sweetheart." He bit his lip to stop it from trembling, not wanting to show his emotions in fear of making you even sadder. He wanted to seem brave and strong, like he wasn't afraid, but really he was. "I have to leave Hawkins, you know that." Your cries grew louder as he continued. You moved your head to position your face into his chest, crying into his shirt. He gently stroked the back of your head, trying his best to comfort you as you cried. "I'm sorry, love, I'm sorry."
"You don't have to be sorry, Eddie, this isn't your fault." You managed to choke out, your soft and gentle voice cracking through the tears. You lifted your head off of his chest and turned to look at him. His eyes connected with yours, now showing him how devastated you looked. He gently pushed the hair away from your face and tucked it behind your ear. "Why can't I just come with you?" You asked, letting out another soft cry as you spoke. His soft demeanour quickly changed.
"No." He said firmly.
"But, why–"
"No, Y/N. You're not coming with me." He huffed, not breaking eye contact. The tears in his eyes threatened to spill as he looked at you. You opened your mouth to say something, allowing yourself to breathe in air that quickly got caught in your throat. Your eyes flickered between his, not able to speak. "If you come with me, you could go down with me," His bottom lip trembled as he spoke. "I won't risk it. I won't let you risk your life for me again." He shook his head lightly as he gulped down the cry he so desperately wanted to let out. "You're going to stay away, okay?"
"No!" You cried, lifting yourself off of him and moving away. You sat up in the bed and covered your face with your hands as you sobbed.
"I don't care what you say," He said firmly, sitting up straight in the bed. "I'm going to be on the run for–" He paused and took a deep breath, "–possibly the rest of my life." He kept his eyes locked on you but didn't move to come closer. He knew it would only make things worse now. He knew that he had to be stern about this. He couldn't let you come with him. He couldn't do that to you. "Or I could go to prison." He added. "So, this is it. Tomorrow, I'm leaving and I don't want to ever see you again." His voice trembled and cracked as a tear slid down his cheek. You let out a loud sob into your hands at his words.
He felt bad for making you feel this way. He hated watching you cry. Neither of you spoke for a few moments, the room filled with the sound of your cries. He watched you breaking in front of him and he hated it. He wanted nothing more than to hold you and stay with you forever, but he couldn't. He gently moved towards you and slowly moved your hands away from your face, revealing your red cheeks and puffy eyes. You couldn't look at him, it was just too much. It all hurt too badly. You looked down as the tears continued falling from your eyes.
He gently placed his finger under your chin and lifted your head to face him, forcing you to look at him. He gulped at the sadness in your eyes. Without saying anything, he pulled you into a hug and held you. After a few seconds, you wrapped your arms around him and cried into his shoulder, letting out all the loud cries you had been holding in for days. He wanted to be strong for you, but he just couldn't. He rested his head on your shoulder as he hugged you and allowed the burning tears to fall from his heavy eyes.
You stayed like that for a few minutes, just crying and holding each other. Both of you knew this whole situation was unfair. But both of you knew there was nothing that either of you could do about it. After both of your cries turned to soft sniffles, you both pulled away and looked at each other.
"I love you, and I'm really fucking sorry that you love me." He said, choking on his words. He gently placed his hand on your cheek and wiped the tears on your cheek away with his thumb. "I'm sorry that I got caught up in all this shit," He licked his bottom lip and tilted his head. "And I'm sorry I got you caught up in all of this shit too." He bit his lip to stop it from trembling as he looked into your eyes. "I'm really gonna fucking miss you." He sniffled.
"I don't want to miss you, Eddie." You sobbed, tilting your head slightly to align with his.
"I know, sweetheart, I'm sorry."
"I love you." You added softly. You leaned in to kiss him gently on his lips. You both pulled away and slowly opened your eyes, smiling through the tears at each other. He pulled you in for another hug and kissed you on the forehead before slowly pulling you backwards to lay back down on the bed. You gently rested your head on his chest again as you both held each other tightly.
Silence filled the room once more as you both listened to the soft sounds of each other breathing. The quiet sound of the person you love the most being alive. Oh, how you could listen to it for hours. Your thoughts drifted to a happier moment of the two of you as you closed your eyes and slowly let the soft sound of his breaths guide you to sleep.
When the sun awoke and its light shone gently through your window, your eyes slowly fluttered open and woke you from your slumber. You hugged the sheets tightly, not a single thought infiltrating your mind other than the fact that it was morning. There was a few seconds of peace. Just a few. They softly passed through your mind before allowing reality back in. Now that you were fully awake, you suddenly remembered what day it was and your hand quickly reached around to the other side of the bed.
Instead of being met with the warm body of your boyfriend, Eddie, your hand fell against the bed sheets. You quickly turned to see the empty part of the bed beside you. You looked around the room as you sat up, wondering where he was. You quickly pulled the sheets off of your body and jumped out of bed before making your way downstairs.
"Eddie?" You called. You walked toward the kitchen, assuming he was making breakfast or something, "Eddie?" You repeated. You looked around the kitchen that was empty. You shook your head out of confusion as you tried to think of where he could be.
Suddenly, your eyes focused on a folded piece of paper on the kitchen table. Next to it was Eddie's necklace. You stood still for a moment, knowing exactly what it was. As much as you wanted to grab the paper, read it and then run after him, you couldn't move. You were frozen. Your breaths grew quick and panicked as the shock settled in and you raced to grab the piece of paper. You quickly unfolded it and began reading.
"Dear Y/N,
I'm sorry for leaving while you were sleeping. I just couldn't bring myself to wake you. I couldn't bear to see you cry and I knew you'd just try and stop me from leaving. So, you're right to be mad about that. But I know you can't stay mad at me for long :) Meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me. I was so lost. So lost. And then I met you and you changed everything. You made me laugh, you made me smile, you made me happy. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you, Y/N, I always have and I always will. It's gonna be okay. You're going to go on and live a beautiful life. Just without me in it. You've always had a future, Y/N. A future that will be wonderful with or without me. I know that.  Just know, leaving you was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I really wanted you to come with me but I knew that was selfish. You deserve to be alive and happy, and I won't let you go down with me. I can't promise we'll see each other again, but I do know that you will always be in my heart Y/N Y/L/N, just like I'll always be in yours.
Also, I stole some of your chips for the road, hope you don't mind >:)
- Eddie ♥
As your tears fell from your face to the paper in front of you, your panicked breathing turned to loud cries and sobs as you broke down. Your knees grew weaker and collapsed beneath you, forcing you to the ground as you sobbed. He was gone.
It had been a few weeks since Eddie left and the agonising sadness that filled your bones never faded. Not even slightly. Your skin craved his touch and your ears craved his voice. The pain was brutal and his absence hit harder than you had expected. It tore through your heart and stabbed you repeatedly over and over, not giving you a chance to breathe.
Maybe you were dying. Maybe this is was death felt like. The pain of losing someone was greater than anyone could ever imagine. He was alive but you grieved as if he were dead. Because it was a sort of death. He was gone and he was never coming back.
You would do anything to see him again. Anything to feel or hear him. You'd give anything just to say goodbye. Just to hear his voice cradle your aching heart one last time. It was utterly agonising when you realised just how far gone he was. The acceptance was difficult. Having to accept he was still out there and that you could go find him was the hardest part. It took you a while to understand it. You had so desperately wanted to go with him, to be with him forever and he unselfishly protected you from a life of running. If either one of you was going to make it out of this whole situation okay, it was going to be you.
Going back to school and graduating without him was hard. Hearing the students gossip and whisper about him, thinking cruel things, was painful. They didn't even dare to call his name at the graduation. But in their defence, they thought he was a murderer. But he wasn't. And you knew that.
Maybe if they had gotten to know the real Eddie, they would've said his name. Because the real Eddie was kind and thoughtful and didn't let what anyone else think get to him. He sacrificed his life – even though he was still alive – for a town that thought he was a monster. A town that thought he was a freak before he was even a suspect. A town that hated him for just being himself. You could never forgive any of them for the things they said about him.
Every time you walked past the seat he sat in every lunch time, your eyes filled with tears. And every time his favourite band started playing on the radio, you immediately turned it off. Every time someone said his name you gasped quietly to yourself, wanting nothing more than to crawl into a ball and cry.
For weeks after he left, you found yourself starring blankly at the wall, begging for the world to swallow you whole. And sometimes at night, you cry into your pillow and wish you never bothered talking to that boy in The Hellfire Club that constantly annoyed you with references to metal bands you never could remember the name of.

so i know your mobswitch mc = derse still and ts = prospit still, and i love that, but i’m wondering if you ever went over why jack noir & co would turn to detective work while team sleuth would go into crime? :0c
(slow pan over to over 6k words of my thoughts on this)
I may share extended thoughts at some point but I will somewhat summarize, I have more complicated thoughts on the scoundrels than I do on the company but essentially I view mobswitch as the exact same universe as the typical version within reason, but there was a moment in the past where different very minor decisions occured that snowballed into drastic change.
For example, Pickle Inspector has a powerful imagination and separately, schizophrenia, and at a point in his life on Prospit as a bureaucratic cog doing paperwork, a coworker is his is found to be engaged in heretical horrorterror worship which Prospit treats very harshly compared to Derse. PI mentions when everyone the man worked with is being interrogated that he had seen what could be construed as evidence of horrorterror influence in the man by other people, but what he knows is just hallucinations: things floating around the man in the air, whispering, so on. He's offered a position on the investigative team that is in charge of the witchhunts for heresy, but turns it down.
Innovator on the other hand is the version of PI who agreed. He's seen as a receiver of visions and a diviner who can sense evil and see truth where no one else can, and the respect, power and influence that gives him changes him over time, turning him into the somewhat more relaxed, magnetic and cruel personality you see in Metropolis Central.
Pickle Inspector turns down that job, deciding ultimately that the improved pay and living conditions isn't worth lying about his symptoms or imagining things wholecloth to throw people to executions or banishments. In a routine test a few months later when bureaucratic workers are tested for latent talents, he's shown to be a remarkable shot with a rifle and is extracted from desk work to find employment as a sniper on the front lines of the Prospit-Derse conflict, where he somewhat encounters Sleuth and Dick for the first time. Sleuth having served as messenger between the King and Queen, diplomat and emissary (Agent rather than Archagent), and Dick as a soldier on the ground.
Notably with the Crew vs. Company, the big shift at this point is the way Noir approached his relationship with the Black Queen and the governing body of Derse itself. Rather than stay Archagent and in an active rel-hate-tionship (lol) with BQ, before he even helps gets her exiled in a deal with the trolls he leaves his position, taking Dignitary, Droll and Brute with him. Rather than being anti-everything he specifically targets Derse's government and engages in smear journalism and muckraking which he will continue as Scout, sabotage and other specific criminal behaviors that leaned away from simply stabbing things and more on information gathering and organization to solve bigger problems. When they're exiled and end up in Metropolis Central, after the now joined remains of the Derse-Prospit governing bodies who escaped in the mass exodus take over the growing city founded by some chucklefuck (Scofflaw), they form the Company and take up detective work to help people who aren't being helped by the corrupt Fuzz and to uncover as many dirty government and business secrets as Scout's nosy heart desires. He works begrudgingly with the Fuzz, but is far less stab-happy and a bit more prone to getting his ass kicked because he thinks before he acts a lot compared to his opponents.
This is just loose coverage of how things are different, I've got more details nailed down for it than I've said here, of course :] also in terms of mobsterswitch i'll note that I have changed the names given to HB and CD traditionally, to Heedful Blandisher and Cheerful Draftsman to match my characterizations of them. I'm considering changing Scout's name too honestly, to Scurrilous Scout, because of scurrilous's meaning- despite it being used as a throwaway name invoked as Slick's exile name by Hussie? Scout is fine, but Scurrilous essentially meaning someone who creates scandals with the intent of damaging reputation is definitely the kind of thing that would be said about Scout in an attempt to discredit his muckraking, I think it fits really nicely. Besides, I really like carapacian names with obscure or less common words, and it feels like Peccant Scofflaw and the scoundrels got a lot more detailed thought in the names than the mc got? I dunno! It's fun! hope this is a decent response for now without writing a small novella lmao

The Diamonds Are Not Redeemed: Here’s Why
People still think that just because Steven and the Crystal Gems didn't kill The Diamonds, that means they were redeemed. That's not true at all.
The Diamonds couldn't be killed because, without them, all of the corrupted gems would've stayed corrupted, all the colonies they made would've stayed colonized, the armies would still be around, not to mention the massive amounts of damage they caused on Homeworld. Steven and the Gems had convinced them to fix a problem that they had caused.
If the Diamonds were truly redeemed, then they would've abandoned their royal status to live on Earth, and be all buddy-buddy with Steven, the Gems, and all the humans on Earth, but they didn't. They still saw themselves as superior and still thought Earth was some ugly worthless dirtball, with Steven being the only good thing about it. So kept their distance from Steven and the Gems. They have no interest in being anyone's friends. They only cared about getting their sister back, which didn't happen. Even in Future, where the Diamonds seemingly do good things, it's all in service of boosting their ego and impressing Steven. The only reason they took in Spinel was because she was the closest they'll ever get to having Pink Diamond back. They couldn't get Steven, they had too many weird feelings towards the Rose Quartz soldiers, Pink Pearl's minds was too broken, so they settled for Pink's favorite toy (they even marvel at how entertaining Spinel was).
Not killing and redemption are two VERY different things, and it's impressive how many people still don't understand that. What I like about Steven Universe is it's one of the few kids shows that ACTUALLY tackles the subject of pacifism. People misinterpret pacifism as letting evil people get away with doing whatever they want, when that isn't true. Pacifism is using empathy, and some logic, to reason with and fundamentally change a person's viewpoint rather than simply killing them. Batman, when he's written correctly, does the same thing.
Now don't get it twisted. I can name quite a few folks who deserve to die. What Steven Universe is saying, is killing won't solve all of the core issues. If the Diamonds were executed, like I said, several broken things would stay broken forever. Steven and the Gems needed to at least convince the Diamonds to fix their own mistakes for the greater good. Even if their good deeds aren't altruistic, they're still using their power, which no one else has, to improve the quality of life for the gems that don't want to or aren't able to live on Earth or any other planet. Their core personalities also didn't change. They were selfish spoiled queens in the beginning of the series, and they're still selfish spoiled queens by the end of the series. The only change is they stopped abusing their immense power to cause harm. Since they're still in power, they also won't allow someone even worse to swoop in and abuse their power to cause harm. That's why pacifism was the most logical route for the show to take.
So, in conclusion, the Diamonds never have nor will ever be redeemed. If you want to see a 14-year-old boy solve his problems by committing murder, then watch shonen anime.

I loved vv episodes but i think i would prefer if this child was from other universe (if they wanted to show us that they still have time and talay is not ready and even tho puen is hella ready he'll continue to support talay and wait for him and achieve his own dreams too) I loved jigsaw but when he said i want to go home now... it was too sad. he thought about his parents for god knows how long and missed them, even if he liked being with puen and talay. this is the only thing I would change
i understand, anon, i really do, i always tend to get really protective about kids, even if it's just fiction, so i still want to smack tup and tou over the head for making jigsaw go through something like that, especially after he expressed the wish to go home. at first i really wished they had gone for something different too, but the more i rewatch the episodes the more i think i get why they decided to go with this storyline
i've mentioned this before, but i do believe the alternate universe is a part of puen and talay's life that it's now over and that won't get revisited again outside of their memories. it's also why i've always been sure that we were never going to see friend credits or aoufuse again in the our skyy episodes, because puen and talay will always remain attached to that time, but they've also moved on since then. so with hindsight im just sitting here like well of course the kid was never gonna be from the alternate universe, that chapter is closed for good. the other thing is, i think jigsaw being tup's nephew was the best compromise between not making things too heartbreaking while also showing that having a kid is not a way to fix a relationship. the main complain i got about the episodes is that people aren't comfortable with a child being used like that, and maybe i /am/ delusional but i kinda assumed that was the point of the episode? jigsaw doesn't magically solve puen and talay's problems (they're still having trouble adjusting their schedules and finding the time for other things outside of work), what makes it better is the knowledge that they still want to be with each other no matter what. yes, being with jigsaw does help them reach that conclusion, but he isn't a solution, and i think the show makes it pretty clear that it was wrong to use him like one
however, im aware that, as much as i try to be objective about everything i watch, my love for vice versa makes me very biased and way more forgiving than i probably should ;;;;;; it also does help that this /is/ fiction, so some things im willing to look past or just not take as seriously as i would in rl, but i definitely understand if people aren't comfortable with this storyline and it's completely valid to wish it had gone differently!!!!

the art of modernity [ prologue ]
Tumblr media
prologue - jueyun karst
pairing: xiao x gn!reader warnings: canon-typical violence mention words: ~1.8k words fic masterlist [ prev ] - [ next ]
chapter summary: you drag four of your closest friends to jueyun karst to chase after possible traces of the adepti. none of them expect for you to actually find any, but hey, anything is possible, right?
a/n: can't believe 'making xiao eat a chicken nugget and french fries' is becoming an actual fic but here we are. enjoy !! :D
Tumblr media
when you had asked yanfei the legal repercussions of disrupting jueyun karst, the entire brunch table had looked at you as if you had grown a third eye. kaeya had sat down the third mimosa he had been nursing, while childe had actually stopped speaking for once. yanfei giggled with intrigue and keqing had stared at you with an expression that screamed are you serious right now?
yet somehow, you had ended up in keqing's overcrowded car and made a road trip to fuel your farfetched dreams. sure, like any kid growing up, you had read percy jackson and the archons, but, unlike most kids, you had taken the myths of the archons seriously. shrines and ruins still sung praises of their names, but most liyuean mythology was treated as having no greater value than old folk tales. the world had moved on past the need of teyvat's expansive pantheon of the elemental archons, visions, and celestia, yet some scholars sought to prove the existence of the old gods. most of the time, their efforts were fruitless.
you, of course, were no scholar. you were simply a dumbass who graduated college and decided in their post-college/pre-settled life panic to go traverse the treacherous lands of jueyun karst. as prosperous as liyue was, jueyun karst still remained heavily untouched as there were areas that even rich moguls were scared to get their grubby hands on. why turn the beautiful mountains and swirling lakes into sprawling shopping centers if the entire area was rumored to be cursed anyways? so, the country had turned jueyun karst into a protected area in the form of a national park.
but now, with your car full of three and a half dumbasses (keqing certainly doesn't count and yanfei is only halfway to idiocy), you had decided to certainly ignore the title of protected area. you had full intentions of disrupting whatever you could get your grimy hands on. you wanted to see the adepti in action and, if others called you crazy for it, then so be it.
"gods, where even are we?" kaeya asks. his tone lacks the annoyance you would expect from childe nor the worried-yet-still-composed nature you would expect from keqing's words. so, you shrug him off with a simple wave of your hand.
"not really sure, but there's enough of us out here that we won't die, right?" you ask and kaeya stares at you blankly before turning to look behind the two of you at the three stragglers.
"keqing!" he calls, realizing that you are of no help. "where are we?"
keqing huffs as she approaches the two of you while yanfei and childe stagger behind her, both acting tired despite being some of the most athletic people you know. in typical keqing fashion, she reaches into her pocket and pulls out a compass. kaeya stares as the compass needle spins around aimlessly in her hand, its connection clearly disrupted by some force in the area.
"oh gods, what does that mean? we're going to die. we're going to die out here," childe deadpans, panic creeping into his voice. yanfei swats him playfully on the arm before he can begin his usual theatrics, knowing full and well how childe loves living in the spotlight.
"dying in a protected national park is illegal," yanfei adds and kaeya stares at her with a baffled expression.
"what? are the police going to arrest a corpse?" kaeya asks incredulously and yanfei folds her arms over her chest, staring at him with narrowed eyes.
"didn't you want to be a cop at one point? shouldn't you be aware as to how arresting procedures work?" yanfei asks and kaeya recoils at her question.
"no, i was considering going into military like my dad. i don't wanna be a cop," kaeya shoots back and childe jokingly gags once he hears the word 'military'.
"military? yuck," childe says and becomes the next recipient to receive childe's incredulous gaze.
"didn't you literally join the fatui for two years?" kaeya asks but childe shakes his head.
"not like you have any proof," the ginger-haired man shoots back.
"i can easily acquire proof?" kaeya says, but keqing clears her throat loudly before the two men can engage in a full showdown of words.
"c'mon, guys, we have bigger problems to solve than childe's blatant lies," keqing redirects the conversation with ease but not before kaeya lets out a triumphant hmph at keqing's words. "like figuring out why this compass isn't working and figuring out how to get back because it doesn't work."
"ooh, maybe it's not working because there are ghosts nearby," childe says, but before yanfei and kaeya can engage with his dumbassery once more, you interject.
"it's likely just elemental energy or adeptal energy. i know you guys probably don't believe in them, but this is said to be the former realm of the adepti. wouldn't be surprised if there are traces of them left!" you say, voice far too cheery for the implication of your words. kaeya only shrugs at the suggestion that gods are watching over you as you travel through the park, yanfei only looks intrigued in a nearly-dangerous way, keqing looks nonplussed due to her strong belief that the gods no longer exist, and childe looks absolutely terrified yet is trying to act like he isn't.
"anyways," you continue. "maybe there's a domain!"
"ancient liyuean law forbids unauthorized entrance into domains without proper licensure from the adventurer's guild," yanfei says, as if knowing ancient law is a completely normal activity for a twenty-something-year-old.
"what is a domain?" keqing and kaeya ask at the same time before glancing at each other.
"i'm... not sure. pretty sure they have like... ancient monsters and stuff," you confess and, for the first time today, childe perks up excitedly, eagerly taking a step closer to you.
"monsters? like those uh... hollychirls? whatever they're called? how big do you think they are?" childe asks with an excited glimmer in his eyes.
"weren't you just worried about dying?" keqing asks, but childe ignores her question.
"so like... we're trying to find this domain, right?" childe asks, confused. "what are we looking for?"
"i don't really see why a domain would have adepti traces so we're probably better off looking for something else," you say and yanfei perks up.
"like that?" she asks, pointing off at something glowing faintly orange in the distance. you squint slightly in an attempt to better look at it, but you're unable to distinguish what exactly yanfei as pointing at.
"we might as well go see what that is," keqing says and you're slightly surprised for the purple-haired girl to suggest such a thing, but you figure she's just trying to find a place where her compass actually works. the spinning dial isn't too much of a concern for you since you're in no rush to leave, but the friends you've brought along aren't quite as keen on discovering the secrets of the adepti as you are, so you follow the herd as they begin to move over to the glowing orange light.
the five of you climb down, approaching what soon reveals itself as a stone pillar with a glowing chunk of cor lapis on top. it's certainly nothing new and is probably a protected relic, yet no guards are stationed in front of it. it's almost certainly been discovered before, so why isn't it..?
"oh, isn't this area usually flooded?" yanfei asks and everyone turns to stare at her.
"you've been here before?" keqing asks and you wonder to yourself when these people will stop asking questions and instead keep looking for hints.
"you guys haven't traveled to jueyun karst before?" yanfei asks, confused. "yeah, this area's usually flooded with water. i've never seen that thing before."
if it's usually flooded, then it was likely discovered before, but not relocated, you think to yourself and immediately break out in a sprint towards the cor lapis tower. sure, it was about the height of you, with the cubic chunk on top reaching the height of your head, yet you were more than satisfied with looking at the carvings on the side. childe is the first to catch up with you, using his long legs to match your pace. he sighs as you finally stop and watches as you frantically begin poking and prodding at the pillar.
"are you sure that's a good idea?" he asks, nervously. "what if it's a mechanism or something?"
"what's the worst that could happen?" you ask and childe sputters over his words.
"a lot of things!" childe insists, yet kaeya, keqing, and yanfei's joined arrival interrupts him from making an even bigger fuss.
"try putting your palm flat on the diamond," yanfei suggests and you take a step back. with a steady hand, you lays her palm flat against the side of the pillar, in which a diamond has been engraved onto its surface. around the group of you, the remnants of water begin to glow orange as the pillar emits an even stronger, unnatural glow of energy. the pillar begins to vibrate rapidly and yanfei lets out a small, knowing laugh while the rest of you watch, wide-eyed and confused by the moving pillar.
yet, all that happens is that the cor lapis situated on the top of the pillar falls off, landing on the side of the pillar with a resounding crack. the four of your friends immediately move over to look at the now shattered chunk of cor lapis on the ground, yet you gravitate towards the stone pillar. on the spot where the cor lapis fell, a single name is etched into the stone, as if this pillar is supposed to mark a specific area.
"'xiao'?" you breathe, reading off the word on the pillar.
"what's xi-" kaeya begins, glancing over at you, but before he can finish, a flash of green appears on the opposite side of your friends. your lips part in shock as you watch the deity appear before you. a mask rests on his face and a polearm rests in his hand, yet despite his disguised face, you can sense the anger rolling off his form in waves. his green hair ruffles in the wind as his free hand reaches up to lower his mask. infuriated amber eyes pierce into yours, but the adeptus speaks before you can.
"i am adeptus xiao. how dare you mortals infringe upon jueyun karst and disrupt my land?" xiao seethes and, for once, all five of you are silent as the yaksha points his polearm at you.

supermodel (3) | jjk
Tumblr media
when you asked jungkook to come over, you didn’t expect it to end this way.
pairing: ex-bf!jk x thick!reader
warnings: unprotected sex, spitting, face slapping, spanking, etc.
now playing: stuck on you by giveon
part one part two
“I just didn't feel like you were ready for a relationship. You still aren’t.”, He said. “Not ‘cause you’re a bad girlfriend, it's because you’re so bad to yourself.”
After the party, you decided to message Jungkook and ask him to come over to talk things through, since there was too much between you unanswered. Now that’s exactly what you’d been doing for the past 15 minutes.
You admired his honesty even though it hurt you.
You were about to open your mouth, but Jungkook made a hand motion to let you know he wasn’t finished talking.
“Do you know how I felt when you always looked down on yourself, always picking fights because you’re too damn insecure to realize that I was only looking at you?”
You looked at him, wondering if he was expecting you to answer so you just shook your head no. You didn’t know how he felt.
Throughout the entire timeline of your relationship, he hadn’t even tried to tell you he was feeling like this once.
Jungkook sighed, clearly not trying to hurt you with what was going to come. “It just made you hard to love. I didn't feel fully loved in our relationship, because if you had so many issues loving yourself, how were you supposed to love me?”
Realizing you’ve never thought about it in that way, you made an astounding facial expression, before finally talking. “But we aren't the same, Jungkook. You’re so easy to love. But I’m not. I’m flawed and I don't think I deserve to have you in any way. Please don’t think I never loved you. It hurts me.”
He jabbed his cheek with his tongue and gazed at you in disbelief. “You missed my point. I’m telling you, you shouldn't be looking for a relationship if you can’t love yourself first.”
Now you were getting a little irritated at him. “Well, that’s easier said than done. You don’t understand what it feels like having people constantly body shame you and having a conventionally attractive partner and people telling you you’re too ugly for them, you don’t deserve them. You don’t get it, because you are the attractive one in the relationship.”
With his clenched jaw and the tightened expression on his face, you knew Jungkook wasn’t having it. “Oh, you know that’s a typical move for you, yn. You love victimizing yourself and being blind to your own faults, acting like everybody else around is doing everything wrong when you don’t even let them express their honest feelings to you. You’re unbearable to talk to, you know that?”
“Of course, I am. Because I’m confessing my fears and my vulnerability to you it’s hard talking to me, right? Like I didn’t spend a total of like what, a year? listening to your sob stories about your childhood trauma and your daddy issues and your drug problems and I didn’t even say a thing about it. I never complained.”, you hollered at him, unfortunately, your anger was getting the best of you.
You were aware of the fact that you shouldn’t have mentioned your ex-boyfriend’s childhood, let alone his unhealthy relationship with drugs. You knew it was his weak spot, but you did it out of anger, you couldn’t control it.
You remembered the first time Jungkook teared up in front of you while talking about how his father mistreated and abuse him and his mum and how he started abusing drugs at the age of 16.
“Jungkook..”, you moved closer to him after noticing his silence, trying to put a hand over his shoulder. He rejected you by shaking your hand off.
“Nah, don’t ‘Jungkook’ me, you know what you did, don’t try blaming it on the fact that you’re mad at me right now.”, He hissed with flaring nostrils. “That’s what you’ve been wanting to tell me ever since I opened up to you, don’t lie.”
You felt deeply ashamed of the fact that you were getting aroused at the side of this messed-up Jungkook who was standing right in front of you.
Despite your arousal, your ex-boyfriend’s statement had hurt your feelings. You didn't want him thinking that of you, you wanted him to know you supported him and wanted to be his shoulder to cry on. For him to know he could always call you.
“Jungkook, that's not true at all”, your voice softened and you sat yourself on one of his thick thighs, gently taking his face into your hands. “You know I love you and I’m just frustrated, that’s the only reason why I said that. You can talk to me about anything.”
You started to lightly grind against his thigh, contemplating whether you wanted him to notice or you didn’t.
Jungkook started chuckling as he felt your pulse on his thigh. “You know sex isn't gonna solve all of our problems, right?”
His demeanor always changed when he'd notice you were needy. One thing about your relationship you never complained about was your sex life.
“I know, but it would solve a lot of them right now”, you breathed out, grabbing a handful of his dick, making him hiss.
“I don't think you deserve dick after what you said.”, Jungkook looked at you with a serious gaze. “Stand up.”
You were confused at his sudden demand but obeyed regardless.
“Now lay on my lap, facing down.”, He demanded again and you did as he said.
Not knowing what was going to happen, you were just all up in his lap, trying to figure out what he was going to do. Your hair was wild as it went in all directions, while you were bent over.
Before you knew it, a firm hand was applied to your backside, giving it an unexpected slap. “I think you've been getting a little brave these days, hm?”
“Wha.. what do you mean?”, you sounded like you were gasping for air.
“Already outta breath when I barely touched you, huh?”, he chuckled at your desperate state before dragging his big hand along your ass cheek, teasing you before applying pressure and spanking it, causing it to jiggle. You loudly groaned at that.
“Shush, you’re lucky I’m only using my hand and not this belt.”, Jungkook said with a daring stare.
Your face felt flush and the burn you felt on your ass started getting pleasurable. You wondered what you looked like to Jungkook, bent over his knees like that. His spanks were getting heavier with every passing one.
“Jungkook, it hurts so bad”, you whined to him, your face burning.
He inhaled sharply and you assumed he was mad at you. “Didn't I tell you to shut up? Look at me.”
You turned your head to him, sitting on one of his thighs, which caused your ass to burn even more. Jungkook then cupped your cheeks rather harshly, collected enough saliva in his mouth, and spat on your face.
You bit back a moan, slightly startled. Jungkook always wanted sex to be as messy as possible.
He finally took off his shirt, revealing the tattoos that you loved so much. You started touching them, but Jungkook slapped your hand away and smacked you across your face.
You felt overheated by the intensity, also releasing yourself from your shirt, your black lace bra, and your tits spilling out of it. Jungkook thought it was a beautiful sight.
“I hate you”, you whispered stilly, feeling hazy.
Jungkook chuckled darkly. “Sweetheart, you might wanna speak up. Say that again for me.”
“I hate you for always making me feel like shit.”, you said dizzily as you adjusted yourself on his lap. He held your body effortlessly like you were a feather’s weight.
You started making out sloppily, not without him letting out small moans into your mouth that directly sent waves of arousal through your body.
“I hate you for always starting arguments and playing the victim.”, He breathed out between kisses, hands resting on your ass.
“I hate you for replacing me with that model when you know damn well where you belong.”
The make-out session became more intense with every second.
“I fucking hate you for thinking everything I do is to hurt you.”, he growled against your mouth, making a moan leave your mouth.
“Well, I fucking hate you f-“, you were about to come back at him, but he breathlessly interrupted.
“Shut up”, he groaned into your ear before shoving a hand between your legs and rubbing you.
The frustration in your body built up. “Jungkook, I need you..”
“Where do you need me?”, teasingly, he took his hands away from your pussy. “C’mon, use your big girl words.”
“Inside...”, you felt too dazed to complete a sentence. Jungkook’s hard dick under you was just adding to your frustration.
Before you knew it, he pushed your back onto the bed and ran his hands through his longer black hair before undoing the buttons on his black jeans and taking them off along with the shorts, and leaning forward to kiss you, his strong arms flexing as he did.
He lifted you up and you hook your legs around his small waist, still kissing him. He ran his tongue over your lips after biting them.
After gently throwing you onto the bed, Jungkook laid back and sat you down on his stomach.
You moved southwards and sank down onto his dick, moving back and forth, Jungkook watching his dick disappear into your body. To enhance things, he pulled your hips down a little harder.
Your heavy breathing and the occasional moans that left both of your mouths spread throughout the whole dorm. The pleasure was so intense, you couldn’t talk anymore. You were digging your long nails into his broad shoulders and his back. You were sure it left marks, but you couldn’t care to think about it.
Jungkook leaned in for another kiss, brushing your lips together and sucking your bottom lip into his mouth. “Fuuck, I missed this.”
You kept on going back and forth and bouncing up and down on his dick. The two of you were out of breath.
His dick was buried deep inside of you as he thrusted in and out of your pussy, your hips met and you dug your nails in his back, losing your rhythm as both of your climaxes approached.
Hips stuttering as he fucked into you while your vision faded into black, time slowed just like his thrusts.
“Shit, I’m gonna cum.”, Jungkook warned beforehand in a grunt.
You nodded, indicating you’re cumming too. “Cum inside.”
He initiated eye contact with you to make sure you weren’t just saying that. You nodded.
Your eyes rolled back as you felt his warm liquid enter your body and fire pooling low in your abdomen from your own orgasm.
Positioning yourself on the bed, you stayed there with Jungkook in pleasant silence for a bit.
After a minute or two, the both of you had the energy to stand up again. You freshened up, then made your way to your bed, not before changing the sheets, of course.
Jungkook was in the bathroom for a few minutes, later then got out only wearing his shorts, leaving the rest of his clothes on your pile of dirty clothes you were gonna wash the next day.
“Goodnight.”, Jungkook pressed a loving kiss to your forehead, before jumping into the bed with you, covering his body with the blanket and scooping closer to you.
“You aren’t leaving?”, you tiredly croaked at him with big eyes to which he shook his head no and snuggled closer to you.
Your heart fluttered more with every second that passed. “Goodnight, Jungkook.”
You knew that once you’d wake up and once she’d see you with Jungkook, a loud, disappointed Jane will be heard through the whole apartment complex. But you were too tired to care.
And lastly, when you fall onto the bed and peacefully fall asleep in his strong arms, you weren’t bothered by what's to come.
And so, the cycle continues.
