here’s a little something from chapter 12 of Your Average Fangirl :)
A quick glance at the nightstand tells me it's 10:03AM. I stretch my arms above my head before moving to a sitting position, the standard hotel white duvet rustling with every miniscule movement.
I grab my phone off the charging stand and quickly swipe through all of the notifications. After getting back to the hotel last night, we all went to our separate rooms. When Jace didn't follow me as he normally did, I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed at not talking with him well into the early morning hours.

my favorite part about Danganronpa is how Kodaka really strains to Justify certain relationships in the Dating Sim Modes. you choose a serial killing misanthropic war criminal who drinks milk straight from the carton and defends JK Rowling on Facebook (not Twitter, Facebook) and the protagonist is just like "ah.........but i trust him..................."

Ok been working on some commissions for friends rn (thank god. I would be lost without you guys 🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️) but I just wanna say
I’ve been watching bridgerton as background noise since I’ve run out of other shows and it’s unironically fun. I seriously do not understand why people have to be such haters about it

Something something many oppressor x oppressed romances feel ~icky~ to me because the oppressor often views their love interest as the exception, at least at first, to the other ~barbaric~ oppressed people and needs to be taught that oppression is bad but ACOTAR 1 neatly sidesteps this problem that someone with Sarah's track record easily could've fallen into by having the love interest, a wealthy white male royal who comes from a slaveholding family, simply be aware of his privilege and status as a member of the oppressor class and openly discuss regret over said slaveholding family's actions. The oppressed is never burdened with the task of teaching her love interest that her people deserve rights, and so the romance can unfold naturally without any condescending moments requiring Feyre to teach Tamlin and without any "both the slaves and the slave owners were bad" nonsense to make the oppressor feel better about himself and no the vilification of Jurian doesn't count because it didn't factor into their romance at all and only occurred after Feylin had their romantic arc. Compared to the later romance-that-shall-go-unnamed wherein the new love interest claims both sides, the slaves and the slavers, were wrong; the Feylin romance in book 1 is much more palatable. And given the overarching plot of the trilogy is about defeating someone who seeks to bring back slavery, it would make much more sense from a writing standpoint if Feylin was the endgame couple. In this essay, I will--

I tend to be surprised with how popular Maka x Kid is in japan (still not as popular as Maka x Soul though) my guess is because Kid is the most popular character in general among fangirls but also because Soul isn't really built like your average conveniently attractive shojo romance male lead (well, by the timeskip he did become sexier, but he looked pretty ugly before that point) unlike Kid is, who is cute and handsome from the start. Hence some fans seemingly preferring him with Maka eventhough Maka had more ship tease with Soul (and Crona to a lesser extent. And in japan Maka x Crona is less popular than Maka x Kid)
Still though, I love that Soul is drawn like a gremlin and in the first part the kid looks totally uncool and ugly that any little girl likely won't have a crush on him at first sight only to be the guy with the most chemistry with the FLead and total boyfriend material too by the end (and he did become more conveniently attractive overtime)

This is generalization but it does make me feel like I’m losing my mind. Anglo-American romance novels aimed at women—‘what if you, a normal person, were forced into proximity with the smuggest most self-satisfied person who physically invades your space, insults you, acts like an attention whore at best, borderline sexually assaults you, isn’t that great’ and then you go to romance manga aimed at young women—‘what if you, a normal person, we’re forced into proximity with a two faced bitch who tries to control your every move and also refuses to speak or engage with you unless it’s to isolate you from your peers or get mad at you for talking to another living person’

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace.
I love thee to the level of every day’s
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints. I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways ELIZABETH BARRETT BROWNING
