Literally all very adorable ships. Amourshipping nad Karmiro are defnitely my favs tho. Quite different ships but both share the fact that they're both painfully not technically cannon lol. Yet I think that's why I love them so much and have felt the need to write fics about them to fix that. Ships that give me pain and anguish are clearly my favs basically lol. Seriously though, modern fandom, y’all need to remember that you can, like, ship multiple ships. 

Like I can ship two ships that are diametrically opposed, at the same time, because I like both ideas. You don’t have to choose one or the other. 

Like I can ship, for example, Sam/Frodo, and also Sam/Rosie, both AT THE SAME TIME. I don’t have to pick ONE couple and denounce all others, and tell everyone else that their ships are WRONG and BAD and mine is the only TRUE AND CORRECT ship.

"Sometimes I feel that this fandom is too hateful towards the idea of any relationship that isn’t Monogamy/Poly, especially people who are too fixated on canon. We’re not allowed to ship Blitzo with anyone else other than Stolas or interfere with Stoblitz in any way (Poly shipping), or else you get hate or called Homophobic (even if your Queer yourself. We can’t ship the M&Ms nor OzzFizz with anyone else other than each other because “they're canon relationships”. Like, why is OTP3 (or any kind of Poly shipping in general) such a problem with people? Not everyone likes the canon ships and not everyone is Monotonous. Sometimes, people can have love for more than one person and there’s nothing wrong with that??? It’s perfectly fine if multishipping or Poly ships isn’t your thing, but stop being close-minded and let people ship what they want. Satan fucking dammit geez lol"

a (not) short little rant

This isn't about shipping but about people complaining about rings of power, but i need to explain a thing about shipping first. The actual rant is short.

look i have repeatedly said i have nothing against shipping. I love shipping, i multiship, etc. *fandoms* can sometimes be toxic when people are insulting, but like, the transformative act of shipping is great.

I am even in support of meta/textual analysis about how the subtext needed for shipping is a great addition to interpreting a work, and how you are able to convey emotions in an understandable fashion to the audience using sexual/romantic cues, because most people have experience with romance, with sexual abuse, with lust, with breaking up with someone, with romantic betrayal, and you can use the imagery of such to imply very strong feelings via simile that you can't if you can only draw on the audience's experiences with workplace acquaintances. (Like how do i explain fealty worth dying for by comparing it to my lunch buddy jeff?)

I am also in support of there not being a single interpretation of a story, like if in your head in the scenes we didn't see the characters they fucked nasty, well i can't say you are wrong. You can watch and have fun with the medium that way, and if it makes the work richer for you then its valid.

What I have found amusing is then people sorta feel the show is *only* about their interpretation? Not like "Oh i think frodo and sam might have been gay, and it actually adds to the story to interpret it this way" but "frodo and sam ARE GAY and if you don't think so you don't understand the show" or "if they focus on rosie cotton too much they will be ruining the whole point of the Lord of the Rings". Like, even if they were "canon" that isn't what the show is about. (This isn't about sam/frodo, i just think they are very uncontroversial and hit all the beats im talking about. Apologies if there are actual sam/frodo ship wars going on.)

But that isn't what this rant is about. What I find funny is not shippers thinking this way. That is understandable, if you love a thing you want to see it everywhere and it's frustrating when you don't get everything you want and you want more of it.

What i have seen is people who *HATE* a ship then hate a show because of that ship. A NON-CANONICAL SHIP. They refuse to watch the show because they think the show is just about that ship. Which they hate. WHICH IS NOT CANON. It's like Reverse shipping, you interpret the ship as canon, not because you love it, but because you HATE IT and it gives you a reason to hate on the show. They hate that the show is a cheesy romance now and that the show made the protagonist a romantasy protagonist with no motivation but romance. WHEN IT ISN'T. They ignore all aspects of the canon that contradict that ship, just like a shipper would. EXCEPT THEY ARE INTERPRETING IT THAT WAY TO HATE IT.

Like, dude. You have complete freedom to interpret a piece of art in ANY WAY YOU WANT. Why would you ever choose the way that makes you hate it the most? (BTW, this isn't the fault of shippers.)

It isn't just with shipping, but I've seen a few complaints about Rings of Power like this. Just interpreting a scene or an event in the way that MAXIMIZES how much they hate it.

Okay so headcanons I had that I kind of assumed they were at least known across the fandom but just learned they were not

A good chunk of these are from fanfics I read back in like 2016-2017 when I first got fanfic and I haven't been able to find those fics to reference them

Misako married Garmadon for career reasons.

Like yes she does genuinely like him but this woman had two GODS fighting over her, she probably had her choice of suitors and went with Garmadon because he would let her have a career and his family being so old and her being an archeologist. She would have to be stupid to pass that up

I don't think Misako and Garmadon thought children were a good idea, like they wanted them but with the GD venom and Misako's career they didn't want to bring a child into that

Misako had been pregnant a few times but always miscarried

(This leads into my hc that Garmadon went after the golden weapons because Lloyd was sick as a baby but I didn't assume that was across the fandom so it's not technically included)

While Ray and Wu were closer Garmadon and Ray were actually friends and if Misako hadn't existed Garmadon would've been a weird uncle/3rd parent to Nya and Kai

I remember people shipping Garmadon and Ray and then in the same breath they'd ship Garmadon and Clouse (nothing wrong with multishipping I'm just trying to empathize that I remember it being popular)

Garmadon was actually really popular with the elemental alliance but the friendships started when he was at least tipsy or drunk

He just didn't know how to people and used alcohol to cope but it affected him once in battle and quit drinking that day

Garmadon and Morro either didn't meet

OR

Garmadon met Morro right after he got back from Chen and adored him

It scared him a little to see Morro want the greatness the Garmadon also craved but since Morro wanted to be the Green Ninja Garmadon encouraged him on that path thinking it would've saved him

He regrets that greatly

IT’S SO WEIRD! It’s not even just revisionist history, it literally still happens today. Reddit is overrun with “haha Katara dead mom” jokes. Redditors really show their asses with their simultaneous contempt for Katara and their fervent defense of Ka/taang.

On Tumblr I blame the Zu/kka shippers lmao (who also tend to be the ones who claim to be neutral multishippers, as if multishipping wasn’t the norm in this fandom, yes even amongst the ZKs). Some m/m shippers really want to get rid of the female character in the way of their m/m ship. Which, hey, shipping is supposed to be fun, and if you put Katara with Aang or Azula or Haru or Suki or whoever with zero development for the purpose of your Zu/kka, there’s nothing wrong with that! They do that with Mai and Ty Lee, no drama, bc Mai is not so well developed as a character.

It’s just that…instead of admitting they want to get rid of Katara so that they can enjoy their Zu/kka, they emphasize how she’s so mean to their woobie Zuko, or to their woobie Sokka. Then you get absolutely wild mental gymnastics that are just Katara slander with more steps, like the baffling “homophobic Katara” headcanon (as if Katara, who allowed a fortuneteller to dictate her breakfast and spent the entire show waffling over whether she likes a boy, is any less likely to be queer). People on Tumblr don’t hate on Katara directly anymore because they know it’s misogynistic, so instead we are subjected to a wide variety of random ass takes. The latest form of Katara slander is “just let her be a kid” and assigning her qualities to Sokka, which I categorically refuse to read, because it pisses me off. People are so weird about Katara.

I think this must be something specific to Zu/kka, not m/m ships in general. My first major ship was Klaine and female character slander was not an issue at all. Anyway I ship all variations of Fire Sib x Water Sib (except the incest ones, which apparently requires clarifying nowadays), but Zu/kka is becoming my least fave of the bunch due to fandom shenanigans.

I think Pickypiggy is flirtatious, sensitive and very generous, she is tough when it comes to killing someone but she has fragile feelings and VERY little sanity. What if you tell her you don't want her around or yell at her.

Possibly she will distance herself from you and talk little or nothing to you as a way of not wanting to get in your way and she, to take care of the little sanity she has, will only walk away, even if you apologize to her, she will not do the same thing again.

and bubba is very direct, honest and apathetic when it comes to speaking but he doesn't do it with the intention of hurting just to give his "humble" opinion being sarcastic and also having little patience obviously I don't like this ship

Considering I have always been a hardcore Kenlynn shipper (When I got into the show there were only two seasons and my ass was already shipping them 😭) it's reaaaaally hard for me to answer this question.

I WISH I was part of the people who are able to multiship... but I'm not 🤣.

But if I REALLY had to answer...

For Brooklynn it would have been Darius I guess. I know, surprising considering the countless posts I made where I let out how much I despise them. But back in JWCC, I wouldn't have been mad had they happened. Disappointed? Yeah. But that's a predictible ship that had a good set up. If you look at my posts back when JWCT season 1 came out I was actually not totally against them possibly being endgame. I was still irked by their... situationship, but I felt it had the potential. I was kinda ok with it because I thought Darius hadn't actually tried getting with her. And that, maybe Brooklynn had developped feelings for him during the time she had spent at his place, without knowing that Darius liked her, on her own accord. It's still kinda fucked up, but it's tragic, quite compelling. It's a real thing, you don't choose who you fall in love with. Brooklynn developping feelings for him because she was in a vulnerable place and he was there for her coulda worked. But then they hit us with season 2, and Darius threw Kenji under the bus like a back stabber if I've ever seen one, hit Brooklynn with this outrageous "unless" when girlie had been dumped by his adopted brother a few days prior, and the show made it clear that at the time Darius confessed, Brooklynn was still thinking of Darius as her best friend and nothing more and was flabbergasted. This last point is another reason I hate them after season 2, because if Brooklynn ends up returning his feelings, it would only be a response to his feelings having changed, and I HATE IT. I invite you to read my last post, where I talk about it and how it stinks of Nice-guy syndrom. To me Dinostar could only have worked if both of them had realized their feelings had changed, but both repressed their feelings for Kenji's sake. So, yeah, I'm the biggest complicated and compelling Dinostar platonic soulmates stan, but I'd rather Brooklynn be with Earnest than with Darius after season 2.

Ok, but Yaz and Brooklynn would have been quite cute when you think about it. Not my type of ship but if I really had to choose one, I found their rivalry in jwcc hilarious and they actually grew to appreciate each other, to the point where Yaz is her biggest defender in JWCT 🤣

Now, for Kenji. Idk honestly. Him and Yaz or Sammy feels all kinds of wrong. I know Yazji has its own little fanbase, because yk, opposites attract I guess. But while it's a cute trope, it's exactly that, a trope. Their episode in season 2 shows just how much their personnalities don't align, how toxic they would have been and, well, why they're not interested in each other. They were able to be friends because they made compromises, but they are fundamentaly too different. Yaz spends her time roasting Kenji and being annoyed with him, and Kenji would never be able to cope with her strict discipline, or to find it attractive.

Same with Sammy, they are way too different and they just feel so platonic in their interactions.

And I already talked in detail about why I CAN'T STAND the Benji ship. I would rather have Kenji be with, idk, anyone else. Sorry I'm not being a little more... considerate. But I'm like, me being blunt is nothing compared to the way the fandom treated Kenlynn shippers and speaks about Kenlynn on a daily basis, calling the ship outrageous things, so at some point I'm allowing myself to be blunt 😅

Not even going to bring up the possibility of Kenji and Darius because the idea of shipping them should never cross anyone's mind.

So, yeah, sorry but I would not ship Kenji with anyone else no matter how hard I tried.

But watching someone all the time sometimes blinds you to the small tells of something going wrong...

☔Is there a fic concept you have that you'd like to just explain and share because you're not sure you'll ever write it? If so, what is it?

My weird Divorce Hinamiki AU

This comes from my inability to multiship while still wanting to acknowledge feelings expressed in canon dfhjkdf... I was very struck by how much love Hinata showed for Tsumiki, how protective he was over her and sought to understand why she acts the way she does, and how he offered to marry her at the end of Island Mode. At the same time, I'm really unable to ship anything but Komahina and Tsumioda for Hinata and Tsumiki. So I was thinking about this AU to kind of honour both ideas if I could.

This would be an AU where Island Mode is successful, and the former despairs graduate without interference from Monokuma. Hinata, after learning about Tsumiki's trauma, honours his promise and marries her. The two of them are a safe space for each other to heal and feel comfortable with each other--particularly on Tsumiki's side. Finally, she has somebody who is kind to her, seeks to understand her, and is never cruel to her. But now that she finally has a safe place to return home to, she starts feeling safer in making friends with others--particularly Ibuki.

As Tsumiki gets closer with Ibuki, she starts to feel different around her compared to Hinata. My headcanon for Tsumiki is that she's actually a lesbian rather than bi, but due to her trauma feels a lot of comphet. As Tsumiki realizes this, she freaks out, as she does love Hinata platonically and doesn't want to cheat on him, and she's scared of losing her safe home with him.

Hinata, meanwhile, is starting to have a similar dilemma with Komaeda, beginning to grow a lot closer to him. But he hates himself for it, as he married Tsumiki out of a desire to protect her and give her a place to flourish, and he wants to honour his promise to her. Komaeda and Ibuki also struggle with their feelings, not wanting to break up a marriage or hurt their friends.

The story would kind of explore comphet feelings, strong platonic relationships, and the concept of found family. In the end, I'd want all four of them to be close, and even though Hinata and Tsumiki would wind up divorced, their platonic love and the time together was really important and beneficial for both of them.

I'm not sure if I'll write it because obviously Hinamiki shippers wouldn't enjoy a story where their ship winds up divorced, but I doubt that Kmhn and Tsumioda shippers would really want to see a fic where the bulk of the story is focused on a different relationship? So it's more just something I think about.

I want to get this off of my chest, lately I figured out why I was ok with shipping Duman and Gantlos after breaking up a friendship, which in a way was kinda the reason why I hated the ship in the first place, other than some ideas people had which I personally didn’t like. Let me explain, or ramble about me processing part of some personal stuff happened the past month.

I’ve done some research because it was confusing to me, and apparently it’s something called “reactance”. Let’s say there’s something you might like, right? If you feel pressured into it then you might just avoid or dislike it. In my case I love multishipping and giving my favorite characters a harem. And my friend was just a really big Dumantlos fan and nothing’s wrong with it, but with their set dynamic that’s brought up constantly in our dm scripts (Duman being a piece of shit and Gantlos somehow not breaking up with him), and them telling me they want me to ship them and they’ll eventually convince me someday, I wasn’t really up in arms about this ship and would die on the hill of it being a meh ship I didn’t like.

Then one day, I kinda did, tho under specific circumstances and time travel shenanigans, and she realized that and went manic happy about it, like “YAY I FINALLY CONVINCED YOU TO SHIP DUMANTLOS” (btw she didn’t, I had ideas and scripted them, she didn’t contribute to those) and it made me super uncomfortable since I wasn’t expecting it, and when I got a grasp at what was happening, I asked they go back to hating each other. We argue. It’s a whole mess and I still feel uncomfortable about her celebrating especially since it raised a few questions. Was she always expecting it? Should I have not shared my ideas? Were all those scripts a mistake because I was enjoying an episodic plot that eventually led to this day of judgement and turns out I did the very thing I feared being pressured over?? I was uncomfortable, to say the least. But it’s not an exception tho since I got overwhelmed/confused by people celebrating and screaming before, in this case it felt like I couldn’t enjoy something simple and it got ruined for me. (I’m fine with it now tho but at the time I felt like I stumbled into something I didn’t truly want..)

However, after we stopped talking, I thought “…I can do what I want now. Wait…” (I’m still not sure why or what psychological explanation there is) and started making some Dumantlos content, not like a toxic or dysfunctional pairing, but just a simple, wholesome dynamic trying to work with their canon personalities as close as I can. Why? I guess just wanted to reclaim that stupid wizard ship so I’d feel better and heal from some mishandled experiences (I won’t go in depth but we both fucked up, mostly me, I want to be better)

So yeah @coredetenebris that’s pretty much why I said I didn’t like the ship but then made some shipping content. Felt pressured by a friend and once we stopped talking for good I was more comfortable with exploring that ship. I’ve finally figured why that was bothering me for so long and why I just went to shipping them after losing a friend, now it makes more sense.

Oh also fyi the pressuring by my ex friend was NOT MALICIOUS OR INTENTIONAL, it was more like a fan being super excited and wanting to share what they love, then miscommunication shenanigans happened, ok? Ok.

i actually can't even talk to you about many of my favorite ships yet because they are still to come! on that note, now that you're actively engaging with WOT yourself instead of just passively watching me post about a fandom you have no idea about, i and everyone else use the tag "wot book spoilers" for all posts that discuss things from future books that haven't yet made it into the show, so blacklist that tag if you're concerned about remaining unspoiled! i also use "wot show spoilers" for posting about the most recent season (other people use a variety of other tags, that one's not as universally agreed on), but at this rate it won't be long until you've caught up anyway!

anyway, my shipping tendencies have changed quite a bit since i first watched s1 as a show-only until now, after having read all the books and seen 2 more seasons, but i'm going to take a trip down memory lane. i remember diving into s1 knowing absolutely nothing about WOT and thinking to myself "let's see what My Ship will end up being!" and i really thought it was going to be mat/perrin because of their wonderful moment together in shadar logoth in 1x02, but then they immediately got separated for just about the rest of the season.........and in swept mat/rand to steal my heart! mat/rand (aka cauthor, because if you smushed their first names together instead of their last names, the ship name would be rat) has been my constant, the main ship that captivated me during s1 and continued to hold my heart throughout all the books and the subsequent seasons. but i gained new ships during all that too to join cauthor! still, if i HAD to pick only one favorite 2-person ship in all of WOT, it would be cauthor.

but the beauty of WOT is that you don't have to pick! polyamory is a canon aspect of the world (as you've seen with alanna and her warders), so there is no better story to multiship in! during my s1 show-only days, i dabbled in mat/rand/egwene (as a V relationship with rand as the hinge, i can't picture mat and egwene dating each other haha) and also a little bit mat/rand/egwene/perrin, though poor perrin is so miserable and traumatized in s1 that it's hard to ship him too much with anything other than getting wrapped in a warm blanket and fed soup. now looking back, these polyships make me laugh - there's nothing wrong with them at all, and goddamn it, i stand by it that the vibes are there in s1, it's just that they feel like funny ships after reading the books & watching more seasons and coming back. now, they feel to me like the equivalent of shipping, like, bianca/guglielmo/sandro polycule: nothing wrong with it, just funny!

so! mat/rand is my OG, and then most of my remaining ships, you may or may not be able to guess at after watching s3 - i will be curious to hear your shipping report as you get further along! and i will provide you with more propaganda at that time, but for now, there is so much left for you to see before i can share it.

rand telling mat "no matter what happens, i'm here" while they're in that barn about to sleep, i just know that rand scooched over to cuddle him as the big spoon after the camera cut away

on that note, moiraine: you've seen the darkness in mat more than anyone has, do you really think he's ready for what lies ahead? rand, after watching mat spend weeks cursed by an evil dagger and behaving the worst he ever has in his life: of COURSE he is!

and mat's love for rand too! despite his devil-may-care external facade, mat is very emotionally intelligent and is shown to be good at reaching rand and soothing him whenever rand's little pufferfish spikes come out (ex: rand's argument with moiraine and egwene in the woods in 1x02, mat is the one to step in and calm him down afterwards)

mat getting bitchy about rand/egwene in 1x03 when he's all "why do you want to go to the white tower for her, she wouldn't do it for you" yes that's the dagger making him be an asshole but also, he's jealous (and then egwene being bitchy about mat in 1x07! mat/rand/egwene with rand in the middle being fought over was the real love triangle of s1)

in the darkfriend bartender's town when rand said "let's take turns [chopping the wood]" and mat thought it over very seriously and said very seriously "if you think she's up for it" he was 100% down to have a threesome involving rand

Tohma similarly wouldn't be in a situation where he regrets his sexual choices I think.

Kaito's post nut experience is entirely euphoric. Mostly because the guy probably wouldn't end up in a one night stand or something where he'd be questioning his life choices. Any clarity is in the moment, directly before, or hours afterwards, and it's usually questioning his relationship status or sexuality.

Luca also would be very sure about his sexual interactions and what they are and their meaning. No post nut clarity, but he's very attentive after the fact. You'll get aftercare after the most vanilla sex with him. (Which, realistically, isn't a bad thing!)

Alan might have some in the form of realizing how dangerous that interaction could have been. He'd probably check on his partner just to be sure nothing went wrong that he didn't realize. He'd feel bad about being reckless and possibly careless until he's sure his partner's alright.

Leo is a lot like Jin in this way in that he wouldn't be in a situation where he slept with someone he wasn't sure about in the first place, even as a fling. Towa has no concept of post nut clarity. Towa gets post nut infatuation in which he is instantly in love with whoever just made him come, if he wasn't already. May or may not be temporary.

Ren. . .I think Ren would have a high chance kf being in shock and wondering how the hell he got here and let himself be in this situation. Even if he's in a relationship. Like, sex is a lot of work to start with. Being convinced into having sex or getting seduced. . .like, the likelihood that he'd bring it up himself is kinda slim. It just goes against everything relating himself he's used to--he's not angry or anything, he's just. . .confused. He knows himself, he's a total tsundere, he hates being around people, how did he somehow get laid anyway???? He plays the events back in his head and it makes sense but he's still confused. No, wait, don't leave he's just. . .pulling himself together. All sex, even in a relationship, will end like this for a while until he comes to terms with it and starts to sleep it off because a lot of effort and feelings happened just then okay he needs a nap. He is the worst about it for a while, I agree. He's just not used to putting in that kind of work and there being an actual payout, or feeling so many good things at once.

Taiga wouldn't have post nut clarity. He knows what he did. However if he hadn't eaten enough beforehand he might have post-nut brainfog and wander off in a daze to find food, barely putting his pants back on in the process. Otherwise? If anyone's getting post nut clarity it's whoever he fucked. Because why did they make this decision? They're probably in a lot of pain and Taiga's just laughing and cheerful and telling them how good it was.

Romeo. . .Romeo's careful about his sexual choices, but he can definitely have some bad post nut clarity if he's not with someone he adores or is really comfortable with. He's sticky and sweaty and smells and it's awful. Was it worth the pleasure? Sure a shower will fix it but ugh his skin. . . . He might feel some embarrassment at having sex with someone 'below' him if felt like he wasn't in control of the situation and wasn't highly attached to them, and he might chew them out if he wasn't totally satisfied or wasn't being treated appropriately(read: worshipped and praised and thanked and apologies for any discomfort or mess) but for the most part I think the worst of it that they would see would be him complaining about being sticky or dirty before he dismisses them from the room. I've decided to share more opinions on the internet, because that's never gone wrong for anyone ever!!!

I think it's good to admit when you have a bias, so I'm making this post as an admission to my tkdb biases. For example, If I admit my headcannons lean towards SubuLyca, I don't feel bad about making them that way because you all would already expect that bias. Does that make sense? I hope that makes sense! I feel like it doesn't make sense....

I'm hoping this'll also be helpful for anyone wishing to request fanfics or headcannons from me, so you know what I will and won't do.

I'd also like to reiterate that these are all my opinions. If you think differently, I respect that and I only ask that you do the same for me :)

Starting off strong with my OTP- lets talk about SubuLyca

I love SubuLyca. I would read an entire 100 chapter fanfic on AO3 of just SubuLyca.

SubuLyca 100% affects my headcannons. in my mind, they are boyfriends and that's that. Expect them to be written as boyfriends in my fics and hcs

If requested , I could write Lyca/Subaru x Reader, but if it isn't an x reader, assume they're together.

The hypocrisy of antis not wanting to straight up say they don't like this ship because it's just simply not Buddie, by making multiple declarations regarding BuckTommy "barely knowing each other, only been in a few scenes together, knows nothing about Tommy, seems out of nowhere... blah blah" but are absolutely appalled at the thought of them having more screentime together/general Tommy scenes, which we could witness their dynamic as a couple and have evidence "proving they have chemistry." They just don't want to see it because it's not their ship point blank. I see so much fabrication turned delusion to make their ship deemed superior (which just tells us they lack real confidence of anything happening 🤏🏾) But given an opportunity to ease their skepticism of Buck finally being happy, it's straight refusal at the idea. It's mind boggling. They really shouldn't have to go out of their way to lie and twist every scene and interview to hate on one guy (and TM let's be honest lol) to disprove one ship and hype up their. 🤡 behavior, they don't care about happiness and representation unless it's for their ship going canon.
