nine's comment on dan heng's taste got me thinking about jing yuan's and unfortunately i realize i can't say he's that much better. the bottom line for those he's attracted to the most are people he cannot have — whether it be through principle and they're a fucking criminal (blade. luocha.) or through physical distance/barriers (eden, igor, dan heng). this is also why, funnily enough, it's genuinely harder for me to ship him with other xianzhou residents — especially those on the luofu. to say that jing yuan's forgotten what it feels like to be jing yuan is both inaccurate and unfair to the strength of his character, but he has forgotten what it feels like to be wanted as jing yuan and not as the divine foresight. selfless and self-sacrificing as he is, he's already used to giving his all to others without question. it's much harder for him to actively pursue a romantic partner unless a game can be made of the pursuit (looking at luocha again, and fu xuan). he's simply not wired to be selfish in that way, never has been. all that jing yuan wants is to be craved and fiercely desired by the things and people he would never allow himself to have under any normal circumstances. if he has that, little else about the person matters.

Jamie is a bully and a troublemaker who terrorizes the other kids and makes it difficult to manage the classroom, and Ted finds it really hard to make any progress with him until he finds out that Jamie is going through hell at home and is able to get through to him and work with him

Roy is a year 11 who got in trouble at his own school for his involvement in multiple fistfights and is being forced to "volunteer" (not voluntary) to help out in the little kids' classroom as part of a rehabilitation/mentoring program. He "hates it" (loves it) and "can't wait for it to be over" (is going to kill himself when it's over) and "can't stand the little pricks" (would both kill and die for them)

Keeley is also 15-16 and (actually) volunteers around the school during her free hour, because she loves it and is great with the kids <3 she runs their school insta and it looks incredible

They’re an avarage hight (keep your mouth shut allie!) skinny, lanky kid. They have red hair and a wild mulet-like haircut (its a wolfcut) green/gray eyes and usually dresses rather masculine to blend in with most of the other newsies. They have a tiny button-nose and usually wear a crooked grin.they’re hands are pale different to they’re face which is usually rather tanned

They prefer grandpa hats over newsboys hats but they wear one if they got no other. Will talk about the rest of clothes and style later bcs *see bottom*

They have a temper as fire-y as their hair (ty for that one @ykthefancyclamwiththepearlinside ) and prolly get into fights a lot. I actually think they would get a fire related nickname sooner or later. Which is ironic since they’re actually scared of fire and more of a water person anyway. they’re a sewer and from manhattan. They can’t do maths for shits and always need to turn to elmer or racetrack with it. They are however great at pickpocketing. In general just quick and clever woth their hands. So great, in fact, you might as well call them the hermes of the newsies /j.they only ever got caught once and managed to steal snyders keys while still on the way to the refuge. They have a weird obsession with turtles. AThey have a weird way of hyperactiveness, can never concentrate and hyper focus on things for up to a few months before simply dropping it and moving on to the next one. They also have a weird talent to memorise unnecessary stuff but forget important things(i wonder how that all relates)

They’re hungarian and love to sell around the bowery with buttons. The blush easily. Prolly somehow related to Albert and if not sees him as a brother figure anyways. (Not only because they relate on the hair department AND ALL THE BAD FUCKING JOKES -looking at you racer-) they have a really shitty blood circulation and pass out all the time.

Hi- Just gonna drop a bit of my oc x Amphinomus here, cause I am attached to your design of him and now I simp for him so bad:

The guy holding Amphi in the left is Malachi, his basically Odysseus's secretary and Telemachus older brother figure. He and Amphinomus are childhood friends in his backstory.. He kinda have been pining over Amphinomus over a few years before Amphinomus becomes a suitor, and before Malachi becomes a secretary. (He hates doing paperwork so much at first but gotten used to it. Doesn't help the neck and back pain though.) He dislike the suitors so much and questions Amphi's friendship (??) with Antinous and Eurymachus but he perfer keeping it to himself. Tolerates the suitors but always give some of them a cold shoulder. (Except Amphinomus.. He got really soft when his with the bear guy.)

Malachi is a anti-social, hardworking man. Always replying often in short words or complicated words in his vast vocabulary.

Also, the markings on top of his forehead and cheekbones are his scars. His a half spider guy, which he perfers not showing it, he kept it vet much a secret.. He rather NOT discuss it on how he got it.

Despite Malachi being older than Amphinomus, his like 1 inches shorter than him lol. (Mal is 5'9 ft tall.)

This is an excuse wanting myself to ship a 'the most gorgeous yellow eyes' (Amphinomus obv) x 'black voids staring at your soul' (Malachi have that murderer glare. It like scares half of the suitors) dynamic thing.

Their ship name would probably be SpiderBear, or WebClaws??

His/au backstory down below if you wanna read 🦟 just a warning it's not original or anything and there's obv a lot of hcs and things picked from the multiverse because why not I just made him for fun 🎉

it's missing some info but those parts are mostly from Frisk's side of things since they're what caused everything to happen 🐺

Frisk basically got trapped in the underground for 7 years since the barrier wouldn't open due to one of the souls dying out and one day they selfishly yet desperately decided to go through with a genocide route for the first time, they didn't want to but they felt as if there was no other way

Sans met Frisk in judgment hall to stop them obvi and he tried to talk them out of continuing but Sans sucks at saying the right things so Frisk continued on anyways- Frisk struck first and got him on the face and Sans in return charged up his very op everything attack which is a one shot kill (can explain in another post if anyone's interested 🌹 it's a bit long but in short Frisk hopped into the core and some things bugged out bad, including stats of some monsters) and Frisk struck him again in the last second.

They died at the same time and due to the fact Sans shouldn't be able to use a move like that he ended up glitching out of the timeline into a battle sequence like out-code where the fight couldn't progress or end because Frisk wasn't there to do any actions. While Frisk continued into the judgment hall, except Sans wasn't there and things started to glitch out when they tried to go past the area. so they were forced to give up and go back to how it was before the genocide route. Just without Sans there

Sans got stuck in there for a few months until Error accidentally opened up the area during a silly fight with Ink- which Ink swiftly ditched Error to go check it out

Sans grew paranoid after being in there for so long so he started fighting Ink the second he saw movement thinking it was Frisk, but he was even more confused when he saw someone that looked exactly like him just in different clothes so he panicked and teleported outta there. And since he had dust all over him at the time Ink obvi wanted to know what happened, so he went to go look for him.

Ink soon found him and reassured him that he didn't need to worry about anything since everyone in his AU was alive, but advised him not to go back since Frisk might try another genocide run and succeed.

Sans accepted that and took his advice, Ink then explained the whole multiverse business, AU's and such, since Sans was pretty confused. He then asked Sans for his name since they didn't do a proper introduction, which Sans decided to call himself "A-Sans" because pretty much everyone that's usually out of their au is a sans.

A-Sans took Ink's advice the wrong way and forced himself to stop worrying about anything involving his AU since everyone was alive unlike those in the multiverse that were more unfortunate. which was hard to do since he missed everyone, felt guilty for leaving them behind all miserable and such so he took up drinking to help him stop worrying about it all.

Now he just hangs around in busy areas to nap all day by himself, people avoid talking to him because of the dust on his face and assume he killed someone.

Personality wise A is very laid back and friendly, usually sleepy. He doesn't hold grudges and he forgives easily if it isn't too bad. He doesn't blame Frisk for what they did, he just wishes he was able to do something sooner to help them out before they got to that state.

oc time again! + her town & culture (heavily inspired by pre-roman italic populations)

she is suri sauthon. her story is linked to my swtor imperial agent, tar'x, but most of her life except for the one year away where she meets him, is spent in a town in the mountains of mirial.

despite mirial being cold and desert, and many cities developing underground, her town flourishes thanks to a force nexus, venerated in the form of an ancient, sacred, alive crystal. the ecosystem of that mountain depended on what "the horned crystal" was capable of giving them, but mirialans couldn't live off of that alone, so they developed trade and some rudimental technology, even if oftentimes it was bought thanks to the highly profitable trade of a plant used to make medicines that slowed down aging and had overall healing properties.

note: everything that's generated by this nexus has these healing properties BUT they have to be processed, except for those who bathed in the waters of the cavity under the crystal - the "real" nexus, but not the worshipped one. the waters were sacred but they were not thought to be miraculous, unlike the crystal, who instead was thought of as the keystone of the ecosystem: without it, everything would fall apart (and that is partially true: the cavity was the "real" nexus but thanks to the crystal, also strong in the force, the properties were spread all over the mountains). those who bathed in the cavity's waters - so, all of the town, who had a sort of baptism there - could eat the plant, make whatever food with it, and not only that plant, but everything generated by the nexus, that, again, had similar properties. this allowed people to live up to normal life-spans without advanced medicines or, much, really. to those who didn't live there, though, after the processing, had incredible effects, slowing down aging - for those who took it regularly - and making people able to live up to half a century more than the average]

originally, there were four tribes of nomads that lived thanks to horned farm animals that decided to settle down into one bigger town and other smaller settlements, to live off of transhumance. this division of the tribes stayed into the political and social organization: every person belonged to one tribe specifically, and had slightly different rituals and culture. for examples, each tribe had their own priests and healers, with different techniques and traditions. the town, tho, was guided by a group of people in the high priesthood, a position you could reach only by having earned the trust of all tribes. those high priests had many roles: they guided the people into sacred processions common to all the tribes, they managed the trading with outsiders, they did the maintenance of the temple of the summit (the one that functioned as casket to the crystal) and created a special liquid to offer the crystal that helps it grow.

this particular temple was important because 1. it was very visible, from every angle of the town, and it became an important identity symbol; 2. it stored the venerated horned crystal; 3. it had the altar where sacrifices were made for the crystals. that altar had a hole connected to the cavity, that allowed the liquids to reach the underground; 4. it had various symbols: statues representing each tribe + the high priesthood, and typical mirialan tattoos carved into the wood of the trees that served as columns for the temple, symbolizing 8 values that who dared to enter HAD to have; 5. it was on the way to an important lake (called "mother lake" because the lake the town was built around to depended on the waters of that other lake) where they traveled to in important processions; 6. it was said that a the wizard who unified the tribes made it with its magic, making the plant grow to hold the temple's roof. this wizard was, actually, a force user, obv.

BACK TO HER THOUGH: she's daughter of one of the high priests, who was in charge of managing the trades with outsiders, and lives in a house on the mountains with her mother and him. her parents are from different tribes (that's one of the things that earned him trust from the 4 tribes): when a child is born from two different tribes, they don't pick one to allign to, but they're usually linked automatically to the one with more relatives in it (in her case, the father's tribe: she had many uncles and aunts on his side while her mom only had one sister).

later, though, she got quite tied to her mother's tribe due to a mysterious illness that only her mother's tribe healer was able to cure. she spent 4 years (from 10 to 14 years old) living with the healer and learned her secrets. to better study, she wrote them down. when she returned home, she studied to become a priestess with her father. at 22 (the average age: you can't become priest before your 20s), she was supposed to take a test and become a priestess, but the healer of her mother's tribe died and the tribe asked her to take her place. she couldn't technically do that, but both tribes estimated both her and her parents and she was allowed to become both. she then decided to try to become a high priestess, and became one at 25 (a quite young age). being part of the council, she tried to convince the various tribe healers to unite their knowledges and write them down, and eventually made it. healers still remained tribe based but they now had an "upper, inter-tribe level" similar to high priesthood.

years later, the sacred horned crystal is stolen from the temple by some Hutt mercenaries looking for a profit. given the trust she has earned from all the tribes and the fact that her father is the high priest that deals with outsiders (and she's been hearing stories and advice about it since she was little), she is the one tasked with getting it back. without the growing crystal, the keystone to their ecosystem, the village would have lasted only a few years. in hrr quest, she meets imperial intelligence agent tar'x laran and, as they "solve the mystery" and fight to have it back, they get closer. they'll get married and have a daughter, Vegoia (who's the only one who actually will get to the plot of my story. this was all background)
