finally got tommy's intro together! i have such a soft spot for him, y'all have no idea <3 also, i'm very aware of the fact that that first picture is a picture of kelly nickels and that might be a bit too on the nose, but i just couldn't resist (tommy is a hot bassist, kelly is a hot bassist, i mean, the book practically writes itself). anyways, here he is!

nobody back home would've imagined that tommy—shy, reserved tommy salem—would become the most infamous partier in overconsumption, but fame does things to people. especially people who don't enjoy it.

tommy is, above all else, a person with an appreciation for the gentle things, things that can be hard to come by in the industry he's made a life for himself in. he's also a man of several bad habits that are quite difficult to break, but nobody's perfect, right? in reality, they're not so much habits as distractions from the eyes that constantly seem to be on the band nowadays, but tommy would never admit that, except maybe to his best friend since middle school, logan. he doesn't want to cause any problems with the rest of the band, or the public eye. that's rj's job.

he's one of those dudes that wants, like, five kids when he's older, but at the same time he's scared of the idea of having even one because he doesn't know if he'd be a good dad or not

Funfacts about PTM Characters!

Still chilling out from finishing my thesis, but I had a few fun facts about the side characters for PTM that I'd thought you'd all enjoy in the meantime! It's gonna include some of the canon characters as well as the ocs!

This includes some very minor, but not story defining, spoilers for PTM so proceed with caution! As a reminder, PTM takes place a school year after the current timeline!

Canon Characters:

Jade and Floyd made bets on who would get together with their crush first during their 3rd year. The loser has to let the winner(s) plan and execute the most humiliating way to confess. Neither twin is winning. Azul is currently winning with his bet of “neither of you will, you cowards.”

Ortho went to most of Idia's classes during his time at NRC, so he was allowed to “skip” repeating those years when becoming an official student by taking a competency exam. However, he is still staying for a year since the test only allows for core classes and not his electives. He's happy to do so, though.

Idia stayed at NRC to complete his internship with the school, much to his disappointment. He works as a Technomage Intern with the college's technology department.

The overblot cast got closer with each other and Yuu than expected over the summer due to Crowley and S.T.Y.X. requiring them to take part in a “summer camp” to monitor them and their health. Leona still hates Malleus though. Malleus is still mostly unaware of this.

Malleus still does not know how to use technology. Sebek and Yuu have a weekly call with him via a looking glass mirror that acts like a video call. Malleus enjoys it very much.

Kalim switched places with Jamil and is now vice housewarden, while Jamil is now housewarden. Neither's families were happy about this, but were shut down by Kalim being surprisingly firm about his decision. To everyone's surprise, Kalim does very well as a vice over a housewarden, though Scarabia has had significantly fewer parties since the switch.

Nearly all the clubs that had the 3rd years as captains/heads had one of the 2nd years take over into their 3rd year. Ruggie is now Spelldrive Captain, Azul is head of the Board Game Club, and the Gargoyle Studies Club is headed by Yuu. The Pop Music Club is also more formalized now, with Kalim as the head. The Science Club and Film Studies have an NPC 3rd year as heads.

Yuu isn't actually that bad at singing as everyone has (and will continue to do so) suggested. Most of the student body had classical training growing up as part of their privileged upbringing, and Yuu has to compete with that.

At least two pairs of canon characters will get together at the end! Guess who tehe.

OC:

Silas likes to eat bugs and regularly digs in the dirt behind Ramshackle to find something crunchy to munch. They did it once in front of Jamil and the poor guy screamed in horror.

Yev became the new Pomefiore housewarden due to being able to produce the best posion, as per tradition. However, he's actually quite bad at being a housewarden and his vice is the one that everyone tends to listen to.

The Salson triplets are from the TWST equivalent of Salem, and have a North easterner accent, similar to Boston I think. Wynfred and Marion mimic English, or Rosarian, accents, but Silas does not.

There are two more mermen in the school, minus the canon cast and two ocs. They aren't important to the story, but their names are Mariano De La Reyes and Benji (last name still pending). They're based off of Marina and Benjamin from the third Little Mermaid movie.

Speaking of mermen, Aspen is a squidmer and is based on the colossal squid. He's about 18 ft long and still growing. Tony is based on a tiger shark, but is the runt of his litter, hence why he's so small.

Tommy, the white rabbit beastmen that was introduced as Riddle's new vice, is notorious for always running late. He never has actually been late to anything due to parkouring everywhere and climbing the castle walls to enter the classrooms through the windows. Floyd learned how to parkour from him. Riddle hates everything about this.

Briefly mentioned in the last chapter was the botany professor, Kallpa. Kallpa is based on Kronk and the uncle of Yev.

Nurse Goethel has a wife and two daughters that she brings with her to family days on campus. The daughters are roughly age 11 and 13 and each time they've come have designated a student as the new person they want to marry. Two years ago it was Leona and Trey, last year it was Azul and Jamil, this year it's Jack and Ortho. There is no reasoning behind their decision, it's all based on vibes.

James has met Jade and Floyd when they were all very young. James was on his Great Aunt's ship, who was meeting with Papa Leech for unknown reasons. James only remembers them due to their heterochromia eyes, but the twins don't remember anything.

Marion has a really strong sense of smell that is on par with the beastmen. He hates Pomefiore because the dorm and students are heavily perfumed and it gives him a migraine.

Yaqub actually has a twin brother that goes to RSA. He thinks it's funny that it turned out that way and they like to shittalk their schools together on the weekends. RSA is much more chaotic and full of troublemakers than NRC realizes.

At least two pairs of the freshmen will get together at the end of PTM, but it will be a surprise as to who!

Historia:

Lilia fue un experimento el cual terminal siendo abandonado junto a otros igual a ella pero al contrario de los demas esta le faltaba un alma para poder sentir emociones y durante un incendio en aquel laboratorio donde la tenían encerada aprovechó a escapar terminando pérdida en el bosque.

Dias después de estar perdida esta logra conocer a Shadow el cual en un principio el se consideraba ser su amigo pero lo único que buscaba de ella era adueñarse de su cuerpo el cual a pesar de los intentos nunca lo logró pero si lo podía controlar por breves momentos cosa que hacía enojar a lilia (no se como se enoja pero lo hacía apesar de no tener alma) pero gracias a unos de sus intentos lilia fue encontrada por Félix y wally los cuales la adoptaron a pesar de no saber nada de su origen o de no sentir emociones y gracias a Félix (el cual por cierto era científico) logró crear unas pastillas el cual ayudarían a lilia a sentir algún tipo de emocion.

Shadow al enterarse de esto sabía muy bien que gracias a esas pastillas el ya no iba a poder apoderarse del cuerpo de Lilia hacia que en un acto de enojo provoco un accidente el cual le quito la vida a ambos padres de Lilia la cual al saber que Shadow era el culpable lo encerró dentro de ella para asi no poder lastimar a algún otro familiar o amigo de ella y Alavés esta logró tener un alma el cual era de Shadow. mismo motivo por el cual lilia no lo hace por matarlo a pesar de que Shadow la molesta muy seguido porque si no esta moriría en el intento ya que ambos estas conectados gracias al alma de Shadow (haci que podre de mi niña lo tendrá que soporta por el restó de su vida 8v)

Git: (sip mi niña esta incluida) a ella la ve como una madre de verdad al igual que le tiene mucho respeto y cariño tanto haci que cuando git esta triste tisteo se mente en algún problema (por ser tan buena 8v ok no) es la primera de mis ocs que esta ahi para ayudarla

Shadow: con el atendido sus altos y bajos con el pero a pesar de todo lilia le importa Shadow a pesar que no lo demuestran

Brush: ella es su hermana y como su hermana le tiene cariño ya que fue la unica que no la abandonó en los momentos mas difíciles para Lilia al igual que es a la unica persona a la cual confía para contar sus grandes secretos

María:(la versión fell de git) con ella tiene una gran amistad ya que tiene mucho en común ambas le gusta tocar la Guitar tomar son groseras y les gusta molestarme (asi mede mucho me quiere mi niña qwq ) como lilia es floja suele escaparse de su trabajo para irse a tomar con María (porque si Lilia toma ahora que cumplió 18) o hacer uno que otro desastre con María

Tommy: (oc de @belenbunny )el ejemplo a seguir y su gran admiración lade lilia fue Tommy la cual le tiene mucho respeto y la considera como una hermana y aunque lilia ya casi no habla con ella la sigue querido

Salem: este pequeño tiene lilia super encantada y a pesar que su relación comenzó mal lilia le tiene un enorme cariño a salem tanto haci que a pensado secuestrarcelo a la señorita @aida-asfdv (ok no pero XD pero si quisiera lo haría)

Diamon: Lilia ve a diamon como alguien con quien pasar un buen raton (a pesar de que ya no a hablado con el) pero eso si esta desde que lo conoció tiene un interés de conocerlo mejor y saber que secretos guarda al igual que quiere saber el porque es como es

Shipping:

Como saben nadie se salva de ser shippiado (o como se escriba) y lilia no es la excepción (y mas cuando tiene una creadora que la en pareja hasta con Todo lo que respira)

Primero que nada esta el

ShadowxLilia: pareja que me gustaba en su tiempo ya que era la típica pareja de amor odio (pero mas odio) pero que desafortunadamente esta muy (pero muyyyyyyy) lejos de ser canon ya que si Shadow a demostrado en pocas ocasiones que le gusta Lilia eata todavía no lo perdona de las cosas que hizo en el pasado además que Lilia lo ve como un conocido nada mas

SalemxLilia: (no me maten por esto @aida-asfdv ) un shipp lindo pero que están muy lejísimos de ser canon ya que si salem le coqueteo con Lilia cuando la conoció esta en un principio lo veia mas con un pequeño y adorable gato demonio(? El cual quiere adoptar XD pero ahora ya no y y lo ve mas bien como un amigo con quien puede pasar un buen rato

DiamonxLilia: una de mis pareja que me gusta bastante pero que desafortunadamente también esta muy lejos de ser canon (y créame esto me duele mas ami que a nadien en el mundo) ya que si sabemos bien Lilia en unas ocasiones se sonroja gracias a este al igual que mostró un poco de interés en diamon al igual que el (pero se encontraba borracho en aquel entonces) no ahi nada que lo pueda asegurar que este le guste lilia mas que la creadora de diamon (@mattyartsworld2002 )

Curiosidades:

-Lilia se gano este año el primer lugar de mis ocs favoritas en cuanto el año pasado se la gano su herman quedando Lilia en el segundo lugar

-lilia le gusta tocar la guitarra desde los13 años y antes de so solía tocar piano y la flauta (gracias a Brush que le enseñó)

-le gusta mucho costurar (otra cosa que le enseñó Brush Brush de pequeña ) y crear sus propios peluches (que por cierto señorita @mattyartsworld2002 ) lilia tiene un peluche de diamon que es con el que duerme en las noches uwu

-El tatuaje que Lilia tiene en el hombro es una referencia a la marca de nacimiento que tiene la familia que adopto a lilia ya que su padre (wally) y brush juntos a gary la tienen (al igual que los hijos de Brush) y eso que antes la tenía en la pierna serca de su cadera pero lo pase asu hombro ya que asi se vería

-Lilia solo una vez se a enamorado pero por desgracia para ella no logró decir le a la persona que le gustaba lo que sentía (porque? Culpen aquel que está dentro de ella)

-Lilia es un experimento fallido

-lilia puede cambiar formas por eso se puede volver un esqueleto, fursona o un demonio (que eso si cuando se quiere tras formar en uno termina lastimada ) al igual que puede cambiar de forma para parecerse en otras personas

-sólo ella puede ver a Shadow ya que si esta hablando con el las persona pensaría que esta hablando sola

-existen tres lilias de diferentes universos pero lo unico que la hace diferente a la Lilia original es que estas no tienen a un Shadow en su vida al igual que estas tienen sus propias almas

-Lilia se gana la vida vigilada y asugurandose que los distintos universos que creo esten en orden (pero como dije esta se escapa dejando su trabajo a manos de Git)

headcanon: may bites her nails. accurate? she doesn't bite her nails, but she does have a habit of cracking her knuckles when she's stressed or worried.

headcanon: nona has not showered in two and a half weeks. accurate? definitely not, nona showers pretty frequently.

duke

headcanon: duke is great with kids. accurate? i could make a really awful joke about 18-year-old duke going for 15-year-old nona but i will refrain. anyways nah, he's ass with kids.

logan

headcanon: logan can't sit in a chair properly. accurate? he's bisexual so like yeah yeah he's fun like that.

tommy

headcanon: tommy is not allowed to drink energy drinks. accurate? yeahhhh there's a lot of things tommy isn't allowed to drink.

For the 80s rockstar fellows, who would they say, as far as other musicians go, influenced their music?

OH DEAR I LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU FOR THIS QUESTION

okay so i gotta start with may the main character the love of my life for real. may's two favorite bands are kiss and aerosmith, so she's definitely influenced by both of those two—kiss is the band that kickstarted her love for rock, but i'd say aerosmith was slightly more of a direct influence on her music. her playing style was definitely inspired by joe perry's slick style of playing, but she's also extremely flexible with her playing. guns n roses isn't big, or even formed yet, when she's learning and refining her playing style, but it is comparable to slash's in that it's pretty loose and gritty and she can do a lot with it (i think about this all the time, can you tell?). side tangent, but i love the unintentional idea that in this version of earth, overconsumption and guns n roses kinda come up side by side and are like sister bands AND THAT'S NOT JUST BECAUSE GNR IS MY FAVORITE BAND OKAY (i'm lying. it totally is).

duke is a mötley crüe guy, and his vocals definitely have a vince neil-esque quality to them. his voice isn't nearly as unique or distinct as vince's, but they both are pretty shrill and high-pitched and aggressive.

logan is in interesting case, because there isn't really one source of influence to point to for him. he has favorite bands for sure (aerosmith, metallica, and led zeppelin), but his influences are kind of just anything he hears and likes, which can be a wide variety of things. he also has the fact of being both a drummer and a singer, so he gets inspired for those two instruments by different things. tl;dr: anything and everything.

tommy is a big kiss guy along with may, and that's a lot of what he listened to when he was learning bass. i'd compare him to gene simmons in that he's pretty much just a bassist doing his job. he does have his own unique sense of swagger in his playing, but besides that, he doesn't worry about being too flashy. he simply knows what to play when and where and does a damn good job of it and being consistent.

and finally, rj, who is a bit of a hodgepodge similar to logan—but for different reasons. logan takes inspiration and influence from basically anything he can digest because he's constantly looking for things to improve his sound. rj takes influence from anything he hears because he doesn't really care that much about improving his playing and just figures, "hey, why not?" which isn't an entirely ineffective method of doing things, except that with rj, it just results in a pretty unremarkable and occasionally inconsistent rhythm guitar style. one notable thing that can be said for his playing is that he has a consistently upbeat and driven way of playing that does a great job of propelling the music forward which nobody knows quite who to attribute to.
