Nav:

👗 Describe their style

when they worked on Coruscant before joining the GAR, they 100% rocked the thrifted light academia aesthetic, but it never fully fit their personality.

on the run from the Empire, and just in everyday life, they are much more prone to utilitarian, functional garments in neutral tones. sleeveless tunic belted over utility pants, with steel-toed boots and their trusty backpack. they steal one of Hunter's old bandanas and tie it around their bicep; Hunter loves it. and of course once they settle on Pabu, they start wearing more tank tops and shorts, soft-bottom shoes, a shark-tooth necklace that Omega crafts.

used to have long hair, but cut it really short when they joined the GAR and just never grew it out again.

they also have a single tattoo, a complementary pair to one that Arien had, on their ribs: a deadly cactus flower native to Iridonia. (Arien's was a sketch of Umate, the mountain peak on Coruscant.)

sorry my first thought here is the fact that Hunter would write said love letter and now I've made myself squee

anyways. on topic. I think the circumstance would be something like, Hunter writes a letter for Nav and leaves it for them to find somewhere, so it's a surprise. like, at the bottom of their pack (because we all know how often Nav cleans that out... 👀). & then reading it they'd need to sit in case they swoon, the paper held in one hand while the other is clasped over their mouth to hide their smile. definitely blushes. depending on how sappy Hunter got while writing, Nav may or may not tear up.

& then immediately tackle Hunter into a giant hug and smother him with kisses.

🦸‍♀️ What would they dress as for Halloween?

Nav would totally talk Hunter into couples' costumes--and of course that means Omega's costume is also themed, which probably means everyone else's as well. the squad as bowling pins and Omega as a bowling ball?

but for one year, Hunter and Nav make sure that their costumes match each other's and only each other's. Hunter as a werewolf and Nav as a werewolf hunter 👀

🥘 Favorite food?

this depends. if we're talking like, most nostalgic, then it's definitely the beef stew and crusty bread that the matron of the orphanage made on a regular basis. a whole big vat of the stew and the huge ovens made the entire building always smell so good.

but now as an adult, their favorite is the salad that Shep taught them to make on Pabu. starfruit and berries, nuts, crumbly cheese, and a decadent oil-based dressing. filling, sweet, and savory all in one.

that, or Hunter's meat pies. Hunter totally learns that he loves to cook once they all settle down on Pabu.

🍁 Their favorite season and why?

alright hc time: Coruscant doesn't have seasons, & Pabu basically has 2: hot and hotter. Iridonia is probably the same, though it gets chilly at night. therefore, Rintonne is the one planet that Nav has been to relatively frequently enough to experience four seasons. their favorite is by far autumn, with spring coming in second. there's something about transitory periods, life in flux, that just Hits Different for Nav. spring is in second place because allergies lmao.

387th Battalion, 13th Sector Army

Commander Creed. he presents a very stern, disciplined facade that intimidates shinies and civvies alike, but in reality he's very soft and compassionate. it's what makes him such a strong leader. he's unafraid to voice his opinion when he believes his Jedi General is making a foolish or wrong move, but is humble enough to admit when he's wrong. well-trimmed beard and mustache, undercut with a mop of dark curls. there's a scar from an errant blaster bolt during commando training, that streaks down the left side of his face. he has a tattoo under his left pec that reads 'for the people' in blocky Basic letting--that is his creed. he has a second tattoo on his right hip of his battalion's mascot (pls don't ask me what this is, idk yet).

Captain Static, Shatter Company. earned his name because when he was a cadet, he always pretended to talk on the radios with sound effects (*cksh* come in, command, *cksh*). he's a little bit naive, but very loyal and values intelligence. he often volunteers his company for recon missions, having trained them specially to communicate effectively. he's clean-shaven, with a stud nose piercing and regulation haircut.

Captain Flare, Phoenix Company. loves, loves, loves flare guns and will pout (mostly in jest these days) if he doesn't get the chance to pop one off at least once during a campaign. he's loud and unapologetic, a little cocky, but he does genuinely mean well and respects the hell out of anyone who can outwit his twin, Seg. with a permanent five o'clock shadow, brilliant white teeth, and that one perfect curl that always rests so nicely on his forehead, he's hot and he kriffin' knows it.

Captain Seg, Flare's twin, commanding officer of Angel Company. Seg is a little bit more withdrawn and quiet than Flare, but no less quick-witted--and quick-tempered. he often waits for an opening in his enemy's forces rather than making an opening himself (he leaves that to Shatter & Phoenix Companies). this is both in terms of battle tactics and verbal sparring. often known for silently observing conversations or debates, and drops one-line zingers that leave the entire table slack-jawed and/or in uproarious laughter. he's the most "reg" looking of the captains, but don't let that fool you.

Captain Drifter, of Hollow Company. Drifter is an old grumpy man at heart, rather pessimistic, but can be charming and suave when the occasion arises. something of a social chameleon, often chosen for diplomatic missions alongside the General. he's sarcastic but genuine, a balance he learned early on how to maintain, and it's gotten him into trouble as much as out of it. he has ear piercings, a septum ring, and a huge geometric tattoo sleeve on his right leg; and sometimes lets his hair grow out to about shoulder length.

Bonus boys! Hotshot and Screwball, ARC troopers, who featured briefly in Second Chances. Hotshot has a buzzcut and goatee, vitiligo, a rough hand-drawn star tattoo beneath his left eye, and a scar across the bridge of his nose. Screwball has long hair that he keeps tied back in a low bun, and a scar along the right side of his face. both Hotshot and Screwball are pranksters (and don't get me started on when they have shore leave with Screwball's twin, Misfit), but very, very good at their jobs. they specialize in destabilizing the enemy from behind enemy lines, often using their chaotic impulses to their advantage.

Fuck it crossover of my ocs in the op world: Jeong as captain, Hana as first mate, Yrz as doctor, Kiba as navigator, and masa as…. a menace, honestly (but also he does the cooking. Is it people?? Who knows! Not the crew!)

Jeong got spit out in the grand line, picked up a sword and a job as a bounty hunter and just went from there. No devil fruit. Saw the crew forming and went wow I am the only functioning adult here! Unfortunate!

Hana is the daughter of a world noble who fucked off into Adventure the first time her gross family handed her a slave, and then tried to engage her to her half brother for Purity’s Sake. She’s as op as always, and definitely has haki and some sort of broke devil fruit lol. Honestly she’s just vibing here.

Yrz is an ex marine, save how shit the government was and went lol no and became a pirate. He joined Jeong because they were A Normal Adult. He didn’t want to be captain or first mate! No devil fruit because giving up the ability to swim in a water world is Very Stupid.

Kiba is a drifter from a blue. He’s got his canon backstory but instead of Tsume being chill, she was an asshole. Because he couldn’t find a partner he got exiled from the clan and his island instead. He probably became an information broker pretty young. he’s interested in the history of the world. He got a devil fruit that makes him really hard to remember, aka the source of all his problems lol. Or he could also be an escaped cipher pol agent! Got that ninja shit going on lol.

Masa is Just Some Guy who came out really fucked up. They’re all transmigrations still, so he had his wandering the afterlife forever phase already. This new world is so much fun (for him)! He’s a mercenary who’s been damn near everywhere. The rest of them probably met Masa while he was breaking out of impell down (for fun! He still eats people :)). Ue is some sort of function of masa’s haki aura or devil fruit, I can’t decide which is funnier. Ue is waaaay more physical though and really likes Hana’s company for some reason.

Honestly the crew stays together because all of them are transmigrations. Except for masa. Masa is there because Jeong took on look at him and basically chained themselves to his side to stop Masa from Making Things Worse On Purpose :)

In 2254/2254, when he was 1-2 years old, he went with them to the Capital Wasteland(With Elder Owyn Lyons’ chapter). When he was about 14/15, he grew restless being in the BOS, so he ends up leaving one night, when Angus and Carmen were asleep, and slipped out, leaving a note explaining why he left(He couldn’t face him in person). This was like right before Alex was born, so around 2267/2268? He nor Alex knew each other existed until late in Fallout 4(They meet in Nuka-World). He ends up becoming a mercenary with Reilly's Rangers. Then became associated with  Talon Company, which ends up him leaving the Capital Wasteland, and made his way to the Commonwealth, becoming a Gunner for a short time. Then, he heard the Nuka-World radio, and decides going there, and ends up being Co-Overboos with Overboss Colter. Eventually, Alex shows up, and they click, becoming besties, and then Felix notices her BOS dogtags and reads it, seeing her last name, and they get to talking about their parents, and then realize they’re siblings. Possibly has Borderline Personality Disorder and Bipolar 1.

Steady is an introverted medic for the 400th attack battalion, lead by the cold and calculating Togruta Jedi, Roon Teana. Steady killed his Jedi long before Order 66.

Roon Teana - the jedi

A cold and calculating Jedi who is deeply devoted to the Force and the doctrines of the Jedi institution, Roon has built her identity around her role. Efficient and direct on the battlefield and almost entirely lacking in empathy, her detachment ends up costing Roon her life; in the second year of the Clone War, she is killed by her clone Medic, Steady.

Yonah Boul - the maker

Yonah is an empathetic and kind-hearted Togruta refugee from Shili. He owns a diner on Coruscant and works part-time serving food at 79's. He is currently in a secret relationship with Captain Rex of the 501st.

Jedi Master Bernardeau "Bernie" Namya - the créchemaster

The Half-Zygerrian créchemaster and Jedi, Bernardeau "Bernie" Namya, General of the 318th, was a competitive, stubborn, kind, empathetic and funny man who spent the majority of his life committed to raising and caring for Jedi children. He was a skilled duelist, though he preferred to spend his days reading, playing rugby, or teaching younglings to read. He lost his ex-padawan a year into her time as a General and had eloped with her Commander, a clone named Lock.

Commander Lock - the kamino guard

Commander Lock is the Commander of the Kamino Guard- retired from war-front service (317th battalion under Leonie Luroon) after losing his leg and his general to a sith temple they explored. He emerged with a holocron which he spent years talking to like a diary; following his death during the fall of Kamino, his soul lived on inside the holocron forever, eventually coming into the hands of rebel leaders. He was married to another Jedi General, Bernardeau.

Saran Kuza - the exterminator

Saran is a member of the isolationist Mandalorian diaspora on Ansion. She is quiet, intense, and passionate. Following the Imperial occupation of her planet, Saran was forced to seek well-paying employment outside of her community. She is a professional monster hunter.

Margot Ra Venn - the loser

Margot is a Mandalorian and a mortician/death doula/death officiant on the planet of Mandalore. A bit rough around the edges, she is constantly running from her problems- including the destruction of her homeworld. Having fallen spectacularly far from a previous position of respect and esteem, she is now something of a drifter.

A/N: Three smut drabbles in one night! no idea where this all is coming from but I won't complain. if you'd like to learn more about Drifter, you can read here, here, and here!

Drifter stands at the edge of your bed, still in his full kit of armor. Only his helmet is removed, tucked under his forearm, propped on his hip. The scuffed forest green paint makes your heart squeeze for a moment, your perceptive eyes picking out all the new scratches and missing flakes of paint that catalog all the near misses he had on this latest deployment. At the very least, his face seems free of any new scars; his eyebrow piercing glints dully just the same. But the ache in your chest only soothes when he tilts his head, his dark gaze catching yours. His eyebrows lift in a silent question. 

“Missed you,” is all you say. It’s all you can say—there are not enough words to express how grateful you are that he’s returned to you. 

The ghost of a smile graces his features. He’s tired, that much you can tell; but there’s something else lingering in his glimmering amber eyes, something deeper, hungrier, that makes your blood thrill. 

“Drifter?” you say, voice hushed, barely audible over the rushing of the incessant Coruscanti skylane traffic. 

“Sarad,” he hums. “Can I ask a favor of you?” 

Pushing yourself away from the snuggly cocoon of pillows and blankets, you sit up a little straighter. The low rumble of his voice washes over your skin with a shiver. You’re certain the goosebumps that erupt over your bare arms has nothing to do with the arousal pooling in your belly, and everything to do with the chill of the conditioned air. 

“Of course, love.” You offer a smile. 

He appraises you for a moment in silence. The longer he remains still, the shallower your breathing becomes. His gaze trails down your form, lingering on your bare shoulder where your shirt has slipped down and on your parted thighs where you sit cross-legged. You watch the subtle way he shifts his stance that can only mean one thing—and sure enough, his codpiece doesn’t quite lay flush as it should. 

“Let me make you cum on my tongue,” he finally says. “Please.” 

Your lips part in a gasp of “oh,” and then you nod frantically, shoving the sheets out of the way. Drifter doesn’t even bother to remove any of his armor, just sets his helmet on the ground with a soft thud before crawling over the bed to you. His lips find yours in a heated kiss, his beard scratching your face in a familiar, soothing burn. You moan into his mouth. 

“Missed you,” you repeat, words muffled against his lips, “so much.” 

“Me too,” he says. He nudges your face to the side with his nose, then presses hot, open-mouthed kisses down your cheek to your neck. Top five OCs of yours?

To add a little variation, I’m going to limit this to (some of) my favorite OCs whose stories I’m unlikely to ever finish (and who I haven’t really mentioned here before). I’ve got so many characters whose stories I’ll never be able to tell, so I’ll take this opportunity to mention them.

1. Anne and Kate: The stars of my forever-unfinished retelling of “Kate Crackernuts” set in a nineteenth-century fantasy world. I never wrote more than a couple of scenes, but I love their dynamic. Anne is quiet and cautious, but she’s got a brilliant mind and nerves of steel. Kate, in comparison, is brash, loud, bold and fearless and is fiercely devoted to protecting Anne. I really wish I could figure out their story (and world) because I love them so dearly.

2. Seraphina Crowne: In a world where parents buy their children fairy gifts at birth, Seraphina got gifted with twelve (a special case allowed by the authorities because her impoverished parents had lost several children and had friends among the fairies). Gifted with everything from beauty to grace to strength and speed and intelligence, she's an irrepressibly energetic adrenaline junkie who uses her Mary-Sue-level skills to help crew a flying sailing ship. Of all my characters, she’s by far the most full of life. 

3. Yvette Colby:  A secondary character in a Catholic X-Men ripoff, Yvette’s one of the only ones who survived the implosion of her story and still lives in my imagination. She’s a touch telepath who was led astray in her younger years and worked cons with a mind-controlling telepath whose charm is literally his superpower. She eventually reformed and started a new life for herself as a kind of social worker who helps troubled kids use their superpowers in constructive ways, and she’s just as practical and kind and strong as that job requires her to be. Over the years, I’ve dabbled a bit with her character, wondering what would happen if her old partner came back into her life, but I think she’s just as happy not having any story-worthy adventures.

4. Michael Stargazer: The lead of a long-abandoned space opera retelling of The Twelve Dancing Princesses. He comes from a culture of spaceship-dwelling Drifters, but was conscripted into another planet’s interplanetary war. He’s hated and ridiculed for his background, so he does his best to hide his origins while he tries to get through his tour of duty. So he looks like the absolute clean-cut boy-next-door, but is hiding intense levels of resentment, a fierce temper, and a lot more knowledge of how to deal with the seedy portions of the universe than anyone suspects.

5. Captain Avery: A secondary character in my Anne of Green Gables meets fairy tales universe. A retired sea captain who looks like a slightly grizzled gentleman pirate, seems as harmless as a country preacher, but sometimes says things that hint at past adventures and suggest that he has extensive experience with magical creatures. He’s strong and kind and utterly unflappable, which makes him a perfect father figure to the half-fairy child of a distant cousin that he suddenly finds himself guardian of.

Where Foggy accidentally becomes bros with the Avengers, Foggy and Matt talk it out, and the Avengers and Matt don't seem to grasp the concept that the "s" in "friends" is there for a reason.

First Fic: Thousands of years ago, the Jotun came to Midgard. Certain of a Jotun victory, Laufey brought with him his wife and infant son. However, the Aesir triumphed and in the resulting chaotic retreat, the boy was lost. 

Meanwhile, Leif (minor OC) ventures out into the snow for firewood. There, amongst the pine trees he finds a monstrous babe with eyes of glowing coal, who changes at his touch to human form. Enchanted, Leif and his wife care for the boy as their own. Loki grows to a happy, precocious teen but alas, mortal lives are short and before he can pass on the secrets of Loki's nature, Leif is gone.

Left alone in the world, Loki is forced to discover his own immortality. He must face his own demons and discover that he might just be one himself.Several hundred years later, Jack Frost is the only name he is known by to any living soul. The world is not kind to drifters, so Loki chooses to live in the underbelly - and oh, does he thrive. Some parts of that dark underworld though, are too cruel even for him. A chance encounter whilst Loki lies and kills, in the service of liars and killers leads to an alliance as tenuous as the threads holding what is left of his morality.

First Fic: For a fill in Round 17 of Norsekink: "Someone starts to notice that Odin treats Loki in ways that are neglectfull and borderline abusive and starts to feel very uncomfortable about it.

It becomes worse when people at court start to take after Odin's treatment of Loki. But they still don't feel comfortable voicing they're doubts out loud.

And then the lip-sewing incident happens and they can no longer sit idly by while this happens. So this person just stand up and calls the rest of Asgard out on this bulshit, seriously the boy just cut of some hair, it's not like it wont ever grow back on it's own again.

Summary:  Vivienne, long after the Red War (and still struggling to deal with the trauma of losing her light the day she was Risen) takes to the Crucible to train herself to be a better fighter.  It’s here that she meets Kylan, a Crucible Champion with the title The Lion.
