just for fun... here are most (not all) of my favourite pokemon from my let's go pikachu playthrough

radon is a shiny that @phoenixgryphon nicknamed "apocalypse dog" because of how he just OBLITERATED everything around him due to me giving him like 200 growlithe candies. key is my partner pikachu, and rockstar and hercules are my first ever golem and machamp!

in this playthrough i didn't really have a main water type until burger came along, so he turned out to be really useful and i liked him a lot.

i didn't really bond with grasshopper and nim very much for some reason, but i kept them at level with my other main pokemon because they were some of the first ones i caught. rundown came in really useful later in the game, and i didn't use rotten or lock much since i already had two fire types (my arcanines) and my pikachu. vittorio really didn't see much use, but i like him!

lasershow was one of the first pokemon we caught i believe... i didn't use him much, same with yawn, but i liked them a lot. horror and terror were just a pair of twinsies i decided to catch. oddlove was sort of my only grass type this playthrough (aside from grasshopper, who i didn't bond with much).

the eevee squad! and one vulpix, given to my by a friend. there isn't much to say about these, i just liked them.

and finally, some special friends... insalata is a shiny chansey i caught myself. dishwasher is a shiny, given to me by the same friend that gave me bitsy, cloudy, and lipsoid. another friend gave me sirlamington and lard!

so in our current plgp run we're trying to catch and keep one of every pokemon (somehow we already have three bulbasaurs though... and if we ever get the shiny we want, it'll be four)

in chronological order by pokedex number, so far we've got:

locust the bulbasaur (given to us by an npc), cricket the bulbasaur (caught since we let grasshopper evolve but still wanted a bulbasaur), grasshopper the ivysaur, stem the caterpie, freeway the butterfree, lasershow the beedrill (formerly named wyrm as a caterpie), nim the pidgeotto, prance the rattata, dedicate the spearow, key the pikachu, rundown the sandshrew, peril the nidoran (f), danger the nidoran (m), sweet tea the clefairy, hurricane the zubat, oddlove the oddish, clingy the paras, migraine the psyduck, yawn the mankey, rockstar the geodude, medbot the chansey, and onigiri the magikarp (given to us by an npc)!

phew. that's a bunch.

Life always goes on.

I've learned no matter what life continues. And yes that is obvious but I mean that in a deep sense. Maybe I'm the only one that does this but I associate smells, sounds, objects and places with time periods in my life. I associate nickleback with when I was 8-11 the easiest times I vividly remember. I associate this Christmas Febreze my mom finds with the time i was 13-15 and man I can remember so mamy crazy times and amazing memories. The smell of Cinnamon Toast Crunch vape juice reminds me of the beginning of a long party phase fading in and out from bonfires with beer and country music with my piece-together-family, to house parties with good friends and trap music. My 17-18 years were the craziest times I've ever had and I haven't found what I associate that time period with because so much happened in those 2 years, including you.

You have been in and outta my life sense I was 15, entirely as a friend if not a brother.. You where there when I really started smoking pot with my brother, when I started smoking cigarettes and when I saw how to run-a-muck and have fun with drugs, which would eventually bring us back to meet on the same path in life. You were always someone I could depend on and trust, until childish drama we put behind us happened. But I'm not writing this to talk about stupid drama. I wanna talk about how for the first time in my life I'm not associating a smell or a song or a taste or any object with time.. all I can think about when I'm driving in the cold night air, is you. All I want is to go back to the times where it's me and you taking night drives sharing a black and mild. I wanna see your tired face after a long night of fun, your crooked smile as you sing one of your favorite songs in the morning light; fighting the tiredness with with me because we have to make it home. I miss you more then anything and I've never missed a human the way I miss you right now.

It's odd because even as time goes by I can't forget about you. Not one single thing and I wouldn't have it any other way but I've never cherished memories so much only to look forward to the future.

Irresponsible Affection

Lights are twinkling melodically but it sure as hell ain't Christmas.

Maybe sunset was an accurate metaphor for a languid girl.

I don't mind being uncouth in your presence, but calling in the dead of night to inform you of green icing in the fridge is a priority for me.
