One of the best thing about the knew Thunderbolts* is that we are starting ( hopefully ) a new era of the Avengers Tower fanficks from 2012.

Please fic writers you know what to do. It's gonna be even more chaotic than before. Bucky and Yelena bonding over Steve and Natasha. Ava talking shit about Walker with help of Yelena. Alexei doing stupid stuff like Clint used to. Bucky and Sam having beef about the name of the knew team, while also flirting ( like a new Stony ). And Bob being the adopted chaotic , depressed child of them all. We have so many opportunities. It's gonna be amazing.

Missed opportunity to have Alexei try to reminisce with Bucky about the "good old days" when they worked together. And Bucky is just baffled as Alexei keeps going into more and more detail about Red Guardian and the Winter Soldier, talking about the Helsinki Mission, and Operation Poetry, and the Ankara Incident, while Bucky just grows more and more concerned.

It is never specified if these are true, or Alexei making them up to get clout

One of my favorite little details is how Yelena’s suit isn’t tight fitting infact you could say that it doesn’t fit properly. This is especially in contrast to her suit in Black Widow and Hawkeye.

I even appreciate it more after seeing some of the other flashier suit design options. Like it just really hammers in the mental state she’s in now. She’s depressed and low energy and she drinks instead of eating now of course she’s lost weight and her suit doesn’t fit like it used to she’s not in a great mental state am she doesn’t feel quite right in her body anymore in her job anymore and her suit represents that. Shes a little to big for it in some areas a little to small in others. It’s ill fitting just like her job.

Also it just shows how Valentina probably didn’t care enough to order new suits for her covert teams. John probably sue to his own mental illness is still wearing a more worn out version of his Captain America suit. And Ghost has traded her white get up for this black one that makes her easier to skip over. Alexis is still clinging to his own ill fitting but reminiscent of the hood times red guardian suit somewhere between John and yelena. And Bucky doesn’t even have a suit he’s just in a t-shirt and jeans

They clothing is so indivisible of their mental states everything about them screams cobbled together barely going on as it is. Very I put this on can’t be bothered with going through the process of getting someone else.

As much as I think movies need to have color again I do think that the dark and muted colors of the team did work in the narratives favor. Because depression does feel like someone has sapped some of the saturation away like putting on a suit that doesn’t fit you anymore.
