i just rewatched the rapture ohhhhh my god. such a good episode the jimmy stuff is actually fucking horrifying somehow even worse remembering claire grows up to be a hunter. then dean and bobby at the end locking sam in the panic room oh i hope they suffer. forever. he shouldve never spoken to their asses again

one thing that really annoys me and that i normally wouldn’t bitch about on main but i’m just not feeling all that great today so i’m gonna - is how some people who ship buddie but liked tommy - both in general and with buck - are acting. (editing this to say it got really long and a little off topic so proceed with caution)

before 7x10, they’d be like omg he’s so funny, so considerate, he’s so cute/handsome!! with an added disclaimer of (i still ship buddie and i think they’re gonna be endgame but i’m enjoying tommy and him with buck in the meantime!)

and then after that dinner scene, it was like a switch flipped. he’s so disgusting, insensitive, how dare he make a daddy issues joke when buck was talking about bobby basically being his father and when he was basically dying!!! how dare he!!!! i’m not gonna go into how that’s a gross misinterpretation of the scene and just plain wrong because that’s a whole other rant.

it was a drastic change. there’s all these posts hating on him, on everything they’d liked about him before. having the most negative misinterpretations of things they’d literally praised about him saying/doing before. all but rewriting canon dialogue to create this narrative of how much characters, mostly eddie, feel towards tommy.

now i see so many of these people making and/or reblogging posts saying they can’t wait for buck to break up with tommy because he either somehow mistook his feelings for eddie with feelings for tommy because they’re baSicaLly tHe sAme pErSon, or that eddie and everyone else will be like we never liked him in the first place, or some other insane post about how they’d kill tommy or rant about how much they hate him for things they literally had no problem with before.

like i’m not saying you can’t change your mind about a character, but i just think it’s crazy how much people can start to hate someone they literally had no problem with after ONE comment.

and this is another thing partially related, but seeing how the tommy hate has gotten so out of hand, i see comments on twitter and tumblr and even on instagram posts from the cast hating on him that veer towards sounding just plain homophobic. like the killing tommy ‘jokes’ ??? you’re not funny. you sound homophobic. ‘but i’m not homophobic for not liking a character and making a joke!!’ okay so imagine literally anyone else who knew nothing about the show making a comment like you’re doing. it’s not a good look.

to me, it seems clear that to these people, tommy was just meant to be a placeholder. he was meant to only be there for buck to realise his bisexuality, and then buddie was meant to be canon and so tommy is in the way somehow. because people took bi buck being shut down back in season 4 to be proof that buddie was meant to have gone canon (which i’m not saying wasn’t the case, but it’s never been confirmed or really even hinted at.)

so now anything to do with tommy just makes people so mad, because he’s still here and buddie isn’t happening. so they’re purposefully having the most negative interpretation of anything to do with tommy to make themselves feel better.

hating on tommy makes it easier to deal with the fact buddie doesn’t seem to in the cards (at least rn). so people don’t have to really consider that it may never happen, so they don’t have to shift the blame onto the actors and writers and anyone else. so they can continue to read into any oliver and ryan interaction into meaning canon buddie, anything they say in interviews that doesn’t point towards canon buddie, to misinterpret anything they do say (including ryan continuously calling eddie heterosexual, that’s a big one) because they can’t give away anything yet, it has to be a surprise!!!

tldr: people are hating on tommy after 7x10, and it’s less to do with anything he said in that scene and more to do with the fact that he’s still on the show and buddie doesn’t seem to be going canon. and that hating on him makes it easier to deal with that fact.

I don’t understand the “isn’t it enough Ryan promo already??” People.

Like I mean the majority of them I do. But we aren’t gonna touch that with a ten foot pole.

But realistically with the show, Ryan has almost always never gotten to do promo for things.

The shooting? I honestly don’t even remember him doing anything for that?? Which shows he either didn’t or it was so little it wasn’t even memorable which considering the storyline is saying something.

Eddie’s breakdown? Which he did a phenomenal job with and should have been plastered all over the promo and interview cycles? He got shoved aside in his own storyline thanks to Kristen and the only promo it even got was the couple of posts he made on instagram himself.

Like there was a reason all of us last season were shocked to see him do any interviews and even more so why we were all like omg another Ryan interview???

Because that’s truly how little he gets to actually do it. It was shocking as hell to us and each new interview was just like what on earth??

So now with ABC and what seems to be a big eddie focused storyline happening, what he’s been doing for promo and interviews? No. It’s not to much. Honestly give us more. It’s about time he gets to actually promote his character and storyline for once like the others all get to do and have gotten to do.

And my final quick petty moment, when those anons are saying it’s to much there are other cast members we’d like to hear from instead, I think we all know who it is they mean and just no. Especially not in place of an actual 7 year long main character. 😤

Since last season they have been pushing Ryan more and more to the forefront. Love that for him. He deserves all of it.

It's hard to take the Tommy storyline seriously especially knowing that it was supposed to be Eddie and Tommy. People say the chemistry is through the roof with Buck and Tommy, but I barely saw any and most of it was cringe. (They had three scenes together and people are throwing Eddie out. Yeah just prove that it's not buddie they want, but more kissing other guy. They don't accept girlfriend, but the first guy is the perfect one. Be for real.) The way they wrote episode 4 was done for Eddie so all of this comes out of left field with the Tommy and Buck.

I can't take it seriously and honestly I hope he's gone soon. Like usual Buck gets all the storyline and Eddie is left with barely anything. Also I'm sorry, but I find it funny that this was all last minute planning and Buck got Eddie coming out storyline.

Sorry I had to vent. It's feeling like the Buck show again.

I have to admit, it is kind of hard to take the pairing seriously when we know Tommy was supposed to be with Eddie originally, another "fine patchwork" from the 911 creative team.

I hate last minute patches, those make for dumb storylines, like a nun Marisol, like wtf? Most men catholic or not usually fantasizing about nuns, religious or not. - I'm guessing gay men, don't lol

I have to say that both Oliver and Lou are giving it the old college try, but to be honest, the "platonic" bromance we saw between Eddie and Tommy had more chemistry than Buck and Tommy.

And even if they decided, last minute, to get Tommy with Buck, they could have written it so much better, than Buck OOC hurting Eddie physically for attention from the virtual stranger Eddie hung out with for two weeks. (Speaking of dumb storyline and patches).

I do agree that the whole TommyBuck became a thing very quickly, like buddie never existed and Tommy and Buck have been together for almost a season, which would have been more time to actually prove this match worthy of the praise it's getting after a couple of episodes.

Also, not to antagonize anyone, we all know if they'd brought back Lucy like it was originally planned (though how it was supposed to lead to a gay storyline is beyond me) Arielle would have gotten so much backlash that it would make ppl wonder about the selective feminism in this fandom. (though I have to say that Lucy being besties with Eddie could have been epic).

I also have to say that dazed and confused Buck is so not how I thought bi!Buck would look and I thought by Maddie's comments over the years that it would be anything but surprise for her. Sometimes the continuity of the show is a bit... wonky.

And indeed episode 4 that was originally written for Eddie does feel a bit left field with Buck, but I think Lou and Oliver handled it well. I love Lou's expressions to be honest, they tell a lot that isn't being said. - So much like Ryan now that I think about it.👀

Making it all about Buck again, is indeed a bone of contention I have with the writers and showrunners. This story was tailored for Eddie and they should have followed through, the catholic guilt, the internalized homophobia, and all the mixed feelings would have been delicious and made more sense than the nun crap we got.

I have a lot to say, some flattering, some less.

On the bright side this season have hope yet, I doubt we get much of Tommy for long, I was already spoilered that he is not here to stay, but he will play a part at Chimney's rescue, I love that idea.

I just hope he doesn't get killed off.

Also I wouldn't mind a threesome before we get buddie, if we get buddie lol

So yeah, the Evan Buckley show indeed, but Buck has always fan favorite so no surprise there.

I love Buck, but 7 seasons later demand that there will be some growth that sticks, what drives me crazy that we're still getting the same childish pouting mannerism from him and that it is all good somehow because that's Buck. 🤷‍♂️

I do love Lou/Tommy, he's perfect for this storyline. As someone who is observing without the "OMG TOMMYBUCK" glasses, 7x05 pretty much seals the fate of TommyBuck, Tommy's "You're adorable" is a death sentence for a relationship in any standards, many things could have been said, "I find you hot/sexy as hell" "I would really like to be with you" anything except you're adorable, adorable is a thing you say about babies and puppies, and though we all consider Buck a golden retriever puppy, he's a "hot hot firefighter man" - not adorable. - adorably confused maybe. An Ally if you will 😂

Also, I have yet to gif it, but in that last scene between them Tommy's smile looks like he's happy, but his eyes tell a different story, one that says "As much as I would like to believe I am the one you want I know better." He knows they won't last long.

And that "Evan" felt to me more like, "We have barely made it past the first date, and we barely know each other, A WEDDING? Are you serious rn?"

Obviously everyone else would disagree with me, but COME ON, who invites a failed first date to a wedding? Like Buck lost all sense of direction in his effort to prove his okay-ness with his new bi-ness.

At least he has a rainbow in his instagram lol

Anyway, all that's left is set the clock and wait for Madney's wedding, a wedding has a way to rectify things or just throw everything into utter chaos, either way we get a married Madney and an adventurous wedding. - That will be an episode I watch, solely for Maddie and Chimney. - Anything else would just be bonus ;)

The Forgotten Scriptures hidden deep within the Ministry describe the summoning of a murderous ghoul. Their mask stained with the blood of countless Christians who stood in the way of the Clergy, their sheer hatred rotting their skin, showing black bones underneath.

They called them the grim reaper. They called them death incarnate. They called them Carnevale; The Flesh Ghoul, as their gaping wounds were sewn with the skin of their victims.

Copia was well aware of the heinous crimes committed by the demon yet sought out the scroll, hidden deep within the Ministry's vaults. The ghouls stood beside him, reassuring Papa that he was safe. The summoning had begun...

A crack formed within the sigil, growing incessantly as it swallowed the ground forming an endless pit, its rampage only halted by the protective circle. A harsh red light was emitted from the pit as a voice called out to him.

"Who summoned me?" The voice was beckoning for blood.

"I did! It was me!" Copia mustered a confident facade, yet the ghoul wasn't convinced.

"I can smell your fear, Papa." The ghoul spat his title mockingly. A spiked tail appeared from the pit and swam back down.

Cirrus gave Copia an affirming nod. "I call upon you, Ghoul of Flesh, to come to my aid."

He was met with a maw of black fangs, blood leaking from behind. "What makes you think you're worthy, you pathetic sack of flesh? Tell me why I shouldn't devour you right now."

Papa kept a straight face. "I need you to care for my ghouls."

The monster was taken aback. It had no idea how to respond to such a demand. "You want me to...WHAT?" Lava started seeping through the gaps in its mismatched skin as it slammed a huge fist dangerously close to him. "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!"

Copia smiled. "I am your Papa. Now, come to me."

The monster roared angrily in disbelief as it melted into shadow, closing the pit. A tall ghoul is present where the sigil once was. They were not amused.

"Alright, I'll be your babysitter.", they hissed.

Copia beamed at his accomplishment. "I'll need, first, your name. I doubt it's 'Carnevale', is it?"

The ghoul sighed as they stretched their sewn arm out. "No. It's Wave."

Papa smiled kindly as he shook their clawed hand, something that kindled Wave's curiosity. "Nice to meet you, Wave. Welcome to the family.

The ghouls cheered loudly as they surrounded Papa, hugging and shaking the poor man. Wave raised an eyebrow. Can ghouls really love a human that wimpy? Have they forgotten everything?

"No, no NO! HAVE YOU LEARNED NOTHING?!" Screeched Wave, wondering how the hell Swiss managed to burn water.

They whistled, calling all the ghouls to come to the kitchen. "This is how you do it! Aurora, bring me the fresh mussels and put them in this pan. Phantom, get me the whole damn box of king prawns from the freezer, tell Ifrit to defrost it. Aether, find the starchiest rice in that Satan forsaken fridge. And Swiss?"

"Yeah?"

"Don't touch a fucking thing."

The ghoul doused the mussels in white wine and let them simmer as they rummaged through the cabinets for peas and olive oil. "Aether, put 500g of the rice in this deep pan, and some of these peas while you're at it."

With one slice of their claw, Wave deveined the prawns and seared them, boiling the carapaces to bring out their flavour. They separated the mussels from the wine and the carapaces from their juice, alternating between them to give flavour to the rice. The ghouls were enjoying themselves, whacking each other with cutlery while the ghoulettes played keytar in the background. It was a mess that Wave secretly enjoyed.

Once the food was done, they carefully spooned it in equal amounts on every plate, ensuring that each ghoul has enough to eat.

"And that is how you make proper fucking risotto." Wave was immensely proud of themselves.

Swiss dug in first, every mouthful sending him into a purring spree followed by the rest. Wave's gaze softened seeing the squad enjoy his food, they were like a very messy family.

"Hey, mister!" yelled Cumulus with her mouth full. "Where'd ya learn all this stuff?"

Wave leaned against the table. "From my Papa, of course- stop spitting out your food like that!"

Rain looked curiously at him. "You had a Papa? Don't you despise humans?"

"Yeah!" Jumped Ifrit. "You were gonna kill ours!"

Wave furrowed his eyebrows as he wiped his claw. "You have a human for a Papa, not even a half ghoul."

Mountain sat defensively. "Times change. We love Papa, and that is that."

Aether waved his spoon in the air. "Besides, humans love us now. We have no need to defend ourselves."

Wave looked away. "I see."

"You don't believe us, don't you.", exclaimed Sunshine. "I understand you've been through some shit, but you can't stay like that. No need to be." She promptly stuffed her mouth with risotto.

Wave laughed. "I suppose so."

"Tall guy, make us more of this stuff!" jumped Ifrit.

"Me two." said Mountain.

"Me three!!" yelled Cumulus. Soon enough, all the ghouls were yelling for food.

At that moment, Wave realized he was in for a long ass week.

I think Tim and Lucy can find their way back to each other. It will take time, a lot of healing, and a lot of working on themselves and learning to love who they are.

The writers will have to figure this out in spite of probably what Alexi wants. Now how they will do it we don't know. Yes Tim will have a lot to prove to Lucy but he can after he works on himself.

Look at other TV ships who have broken up and had traumas both together and apart. To only to get back together and they made the relationships work.

*Meredith and Derek (Grey's Anatomy)---Hell she tried to kill herself in season 3. They got back together in season 4 and they stayed together. In their entire relationship He NEVER got help he needed in dealing with his traumas prior to and with Meredith. Married 3 kids

*Oliver and Felicity (Arrow)---Let's not even talk about their trauma's. Especially him, damn that guy was a trauma magnet. Yet they got married and had a baby. Married 2 kids

*Jamie and Claire (Outlander) ---Such a beautiful love story they were separated for 20 years. Hell they survived literal Wars and they are still together. Long story but soooooo good! Married and have Brianna together (mentioned later).

*Booth and Brennan (Bones)---What about both of their mutual traumas? Hell he left and went to war and came back with another girlfriend yet they got married and had 2 kids. They also had to later overcome his gambling problem but they did it. There was so much more.

*Angela and Wesley (The Rookie)---Look at the mess he was in not once but twice. His drug addiction after he was stabbed. The whole mess with Elijah you don't think those cause trauma and mistrust but they got through it. Married 2 Kids

*Beckett and Castle (Castle)----He literally walked away from her when she would not stop going down that rabbit hole about her mom's murder. The way he answered the door when she came to see him. Damn you knew he was not having it. Married 2 kids

*Sam and Andy (Rookie Blue)---Trauma central got married in the end.

*Doug and Carole (ER)----Messy, if I remember correctly he cheated on her. Lots of Trauma yet in the end they got together.

*Roger and Brianna (Outlander)---Hell she was raped, and bore a child by the guy who raped her. Roger was kidnapped and tortured, beaten and nearly left for dead. Yet they are now happily married and have a baby of their own and he accepted the other child as his.

*Lucifer and Chloe (Lucifer)---He the devil and she a detective. They had a kid and were together until he had to go back to Hell, after she died back together. Never married probably couldn't.

*Snow and Charming and Emma and Hook (Once Upon Time)----Omg the crazy trauma and stories these people had yet they all ended up together and made their relationships work after break ups. Snow and Charming Married 2 kids. Emma and Hook Married 1 kid

This is all I can think of for now, I am sure there are more.

So it is doable for Tim and Lucy to get back together even with all their past trauma and still make it work. But they have to put in the work and allow themselves time to heal, and learn to accept who they are. All these couples had traumas both together and separate.

We have to have faith that if there is a season 7 the writers will figure it out.

So if has been done before it can be done again. Let's just hope Alexi doesn't try to fight it. If he doesn't then the writers can come up with a way for them to reunite.

who, mind you, was 13 when Oliver was 11. Cecilia officially went missing at 13

thay being said, when dealing with her PTSD and oftentimes breakdowns (due to PTSD and things unrelated), none of her other four siblings (one of which being Cecilia's twin brother) or mother could help her. mostly because Oliver refused it, not because they didn't know how

she was used to Cecilia, and she didn't like the change nor the fact that Cecilia wasn't there with her to help her

so by the time she was almost fourteen, she went into what us gacha children call an "emotionless frenzy;" not knowing how to handle or deal with her own emotions, not allowing other people to help her, it took a toll on her mental and she eventually shut herself off completely

ended up getting a girlfriend ... who reminded her of Cecilia (bear with me)

but she didn't... want her. she thought she needed her support to piece herself back together, overall leading into a toxic dependency, as well as a generally toxic relationship that her girlfriend willingly stayed in, as she wanted to help Oliver, for better or for worse

that girlfriend would end up becoming Oliver's fiance, but... things hadn't really started to get better. not to say things got worse, but it didn't get better.

and to think that all it took was Oliver being too late for her to open up her eyes—which were now less dull and devoid of a shine—and get her shit together

she still doesn't like accepting help ... but she doesn't flat out refuse it either. she's more open with herself and tries her best nowadays

that dependency is still there, and it becomes evident once she ends up getting attached to someone. for instance; she tried to kill Ajax on multiple occasions,,,, but if she's not at home sleeping with family, she cannot and will not sleep unless that fucker is in bed with her

YEAH LITERALLY. inital conflict is literally dean being angry at sam for trying to move on and heal which is just so intensely unlikeable and for some reason i was shocked by it and it made me genuinely dislike him. to me dean is at his most awful in s8..... like he's not. he's definitely not. gadreel possession in s9 and like most of s9/10 with the mark is much worse than anything he does in s8 and killing amy in s7 was sooo awful too. but dean is just so intensely a dick in s8 and i was so angry with him and not even in a fun way. like in s9/10 he is AWFUL but i enjoyed the drama. i didnt even enjoy the interpersonal drama in s8. which is when you know something is wrong

I bought Story of Seasons: A wonderful Life for the Nintendo switch which is a remake of the 2003 harvest moon a wonderful life.

I’ve bought other harvest moon/story of seasons games for the switch as well and honestly… I’m disappointed.

The character design lacks, they all look so dead and emotionless I don’t know how to explain it. The whole world looks like it’s straight out of Cocomelon. You also start with a gifted Cow and other things, that you’d normally not get in the originals and tbh it feels like they stripped all life away in all the newer versions, made it way easier in the beginning and tried to up the cuteness to a maximum which resulted in it looking like a kids show. The dialogs also turned so soft imo.

In harvest moon ds you straight up start with the mayor of mineral town insulting you and then the character (you) proceeding to try to kill him/punch him with an axe, a hammer, a scythe, even a watering can and in the end your dog bites him in the ass in a blackout screen.

It’s like how they took the sass out of the animal crossing characters with time and it just makes me sad. The new versions of the characters feel like lifeless copies :/

I‘m still hoping for more remakes and I’m still a big fan of the harvest moon/story of seasons franchise. But fields of Mistria honestly gave me the exact feeling I had when I got harvest moon ds on Christmas as a kid and started it up for the first time. I literally had a bit of a teary eye playing the demo and then the EA version of FoM 🥺

That’s also why I like FoM so much - it’s funny, it has innuendos, it’s made for adults/older teens despite it being cutely designed, the characters look and feel like they’re adults as well.

I‘m not trying to be mean to the newer games and I understand people enjoy playing them, hell I still buy them because I love the series, but they leave me hanging. ://

YESSSS I get it OMG it's so boring I have about 100 hours in PoOT (pioneers of olive town) and although I controversially found Harvest Moon One World better than Olive Town (I loved the open world concept and Jamil in particular), it was still kinda boring compared Stardew Valley which I bought as my first game for my switch back in 2019.

That day, I played SDV until 4 am, it was summer break and I just graduated highschool and it was magical playing SDV for the first time, I could barely put the game down for long enough to take care of myself lol.

And I get that exact same feeling again playing FoM, that kind of magical feeling where you're completly transported into a new world. I don't think ConcernedApe made SDV with children as a primary audience in mind, if he did he probably wouldn't have added depressed alocholic in there and I love it, I love a good story and good characters, inperfect characters with flaws, they feel way more real and more likable than the boring nice, polite ones we were getting in newer HM/SoS games. All I remember from PoOT is how claustrophobic the town feels, and how hard it was to decide who to marry because none of them was interesting enough, even Damon, the edgy biker boy, felt like he was taken straight from the Disney Channel. I want characters that I can call bastards, I want mean characters, they're the funniest to learn to love.

As for making the games way too easy, I'm not sure, I just remeber struggeling in older games but mostly because I was a child when I played them. I'm pretty sure you also could get a free cow in Animal Parade and in the tale of two towns but I could very well be wrong.

I'm not gonna lie, I never played Harvest Moon DS but that sounds hilarious, we need more of that back, and less Ned Flenders neighbors. That's another reason why I love SDV so much, Pam and Shane are so mean to the player at first (hell even Sebastian is kinda cold) but that's what makes them more compelling characters than the cast of PoOT, where frankly only the non-marriagable characters were interesting.

I think that's why I'm so obsessed with FoM right now, while yes the characters are so so nice, they're not boring and I don't even remember them by their niceness, Hayden is a super polite farmer, but I'd say his distinct traits are loud, open and so very passionate wbout farming, even his dialogue about being a good neighbor and lending you sugar is so much more memorable because he's so forward about it. I feel like most characters in this game can be described with a positive and a negative trait, which is what newer HM/SOS games lack, the balance between baby boy baby and bastard. And the dialogue in general is soooo good, I don't feel like I'm being talk down to, it feels like a normal conversation between adults, not between a child and their caretaker.

Laslty, thank god (NPC Studio) for the older characters, I feel like farming game fans are not in their teens (13-15) and more like in their twenties and up. We don't want to romace teens, we want something that doesn't feel illegal lol.

I totally agree anon, I love FoM so far and it has also made me super emotional playing this game. Ugh I can't wait for more content, I need to fall for this game harder.

I have readdd The Twelfth Day of July by Joan Lingard, it's a book about this guy and girl and the guy is a cath and the girl is a protestant and how they hate eachother and its really good, I love it a lot. I also read all of Diane Olivers short stories while at irish camp, they're really good and I totally reccomend her stuff, I think you would like some of her more scary short stories, a lot of her stuff is unpublished though cuz she was died at age 22 and she really needs more recognition, like when I looked up her most famous story I couldn't even find her other stuff at all.

Games I played Alan Wake about this guy (who is an author) who goes on holiday to this island and his wife goes missing so Alan has to investigate it while this story that he doesn't even remember writing becomes a reality, there's a second one I just haven't played it yet. I played The Quarry about a group of young adult camp counsellors who have to stay one day extra before they get to go home but there's creepy stuff on the property that wants to kill them and it's so good my fave character is my profile picture, we love Dylan Lenivy.

THENNN I played A Way Out with my brother set in the same prison as Shawshank Redemption, these 2 criminals set a plan to escape prison and get their revenge on the guy who murdered one of the mens brothers and well the other one kind of gives away the whole story so I won't go into detail on that one but it's depressing, it's a little disturbing and you get attached to Leo and Vincent the main guys.

Ive just been chilling this last month before school starts again and hanging out with my friends, I was going to go to NI for a while but there's protests and people setting streets on fire so I'm not going anywhere near there for now.
