STS ask. What would the cast of Honours Outcasts and Mortal God order from subway?
None of these will be good answers, I promise
Izjik: Tuna, hold the bread. So literally just tuna. Just a handful of cold tuna.
Sepo: He has a very texture based palate, so something crunchy. Probably lots of peppers and lettuce. No cheese. He thinks it's gross. So, just a salad on bread.
Twenari: She'd want something balanced and healthy. Whole wheat bread, veggies, chicken, and provolone cheese. Then she'd add every single one of the thirteen Subway sauces.
Djek: It'd be all meat and cheese, with maybe some jalapeños he'd order to look tough, but pick off later.
Astra: She'd be astounded by all the exotic vegetables. Olives, pickles, banana peppers, jalapeños, and avocados would be the only thing there aside from some salami.
Mashal: Poor fellow can't eat. He'd order some meatballs to feed to Astra's cat.
Ivander: The only way he'd be at a Subway would be if he's starving to death. He'd get an onion teriyaki sandwich and brace himself as best he can.
Elsind: I feel like he's a tuna melt kinda girl. So, tuna, mayo, pickles, and cheese put into the panini press.
Avymere: They'd find such a lowly establishment to be exotic and exciting. They'd get like ten different sandwiches and take one bite out of each just to experience all the combinations.
I did have the subway menu pulled up for this lol. Thanks for the ask, stranger!

hii!! can i ask for a dead poets favorite sandwich headcanon? <3
kind of random, yeah. but all i can think about rn is that todd's favorite is tuna sandwich. and pitts' is pb&j sandwich.
yes ofc! i love this prompt sm!!!!! so the dead poets favourite sandwiches!!!!!
honestly 100% true about pitts and pb&j, he lives and breathes for them. nothing compares to a good pb&j for him
he honestly makes such good sandwiches, like mom level great sandwiches, and he always manages to get the perfect distribution of his spreads
neil loves grilled cheese sandwiches. if he's having a bad day, or he's hungry before rehearsal, and it's quick to make. he finds them very reliable and extremely comfortable
charlie is definitely a bacon or meatball sandwich guy. he loves that shit, and he makes sure to be a messy eater to piss off cameron
cameron's not really a big sandwich guy. he's not really picky either he'll eat whatever sandwich BUT if it has butter he's leaving. absolutely despises it with every ounce of his being.
really likes bread tho. could eat just plain bread.
honestly think that knox would be a tuna sandwich guy. like, that's his thing, he'll finish a stressful day in school and make himself a tuna sandwich to eat while relaxing. very bad at making other types of sandwiches though.
todd. wow, i'm kinda stuck bc i think he's more of a toast guy. he's the toast maker in the morning. loves that shit fr.
but for sandwiches? i think he's a cheese sandwich type of guy, and to be extremely specific, he likes croque-monsieur sandwiches bc when he was younger his mom would make him and his brother them.
meeks doesn't have a favourite bc he makes a different sandwich every time, or he changes his recipes for them each day. it stresses all the poets out for him.
his secret favourite though is a panini, and his mom makes the best ones. he won't share though.

An (Uncomprehensive) list of sandwich related crimes I've been forcibly made an accomplice to
- A chicken classic footlong with tuna
- A double meat meatball sub with double chicken classic
- Every type of cheese on one sub
- Steak and seafood
- Literally any sub with seafood
- Subdogs
- A sub being microwaved instead of toasted (disturbingly common)
- An uber order for just a bread roll. No meat, no cheese, no salad - just an uncut white roll. They paid 20 AUD (not including delivery) for something you could get for like 3 bucks at Woolies
- That one time someone asked me to toast their sub three times
- Anyone who pays for beetroot or avocado (I usually "forget" to charge them if no ones looking but sometimes I forget to do that (or they're an asshole))
- That one time there was red shit all over the floor and we genuinely couldn't tell if it was blood or raspberry
- Every time I've mixed lift and Fanta together because it tastes good
- I think I sneezed near someone's sub once. They didn't say anything.
- One time someone bought our entire stock of turkey to feed his dog. There's nothing wrong with that it was just an incredibly bizarre thing to experience at 10 am. Also I didn't know how much to charge him for so I just kept hitting the "Turkey 6 inch add-on" button until it looked right. (Also turkey is the most annoying meat to prep)
- I dropped an untoasted garlic and cheese toastie once. There was mozzarella everywhere
- I also dropped someone's toasted chicken strip's sub in the salad bar once
- The uncomfortable amount of times i/my coworkers have dropped something in the tuna or seafood, and just dug it out and put it back
- There are absolutely no cross contamination procedures here please for the love of God don't even come in if you're allergic to a single ingredient. Everything's touched everything
- sometimes I just stand in the fridge when it's hot and/or I don't want to do my job
- I cut myself breaking down boxes today. I don't know how
- We're meant to count out the amount of pickles we put on subs (6 for a 6 inch, 12 for a footlong). I've literally never done that. I don't know how to count
- My first time working the till someones card never went through and I just didn't say anything until they left. Then I just told my coworkers that the card payment prompt never went away even though they paid. They believed me
- I eat the choc chips left on the trays after the cookies have been flipped sometimes
- Someone broke in once, and all they did was break the toilet lock and leave
- I've eaten melted cookie dough that we couldn't use multiple times
- I've seriously considered eating the raw capsicum multiple times. The only thing stopping me is the cameras
- 90% of the time at work I'm just thinking about homestuck (horrifying)
- I was put in charge of the store music *once* and everyone complained about it. (So did I to be fair - I was playing the first non-explicit playlist I could find)
- Near the end of my shift this woman came in who was *obnoxiously* cheerful. Like she sung and posed when she walked in, she kept yelling at her friends and tapping on the glass excitedly (and dropped the glass screen on my arm). I had to serve her on tje till, and after she told me that she and her friends had had a wild night and were still pretty buzzed, I looked her in the eyes and said "haha I wish that was me right now" in the deadest tone possible
- im like 90 percent sure she was still on something
- this one guy used to come in all the time and order carrot "for colour". I miss him.
- where are you carrot for colour guy :((
- i almost choked on ice at the end of the night trying to prove a point to my coworkers
- one time we were out of almost everything, and we genuinely considered closing at 11 in the morning because we couldn't serve anyone
- I hear the uber incoming order sound in my sleep sometimes
- people keep tapping the glass FUCKIGN STOP WE ARENT FISH
- someone kept tapping the glass with their keys and I wanted to scream
- every time someone pronounces macadamia as "macadamian" I lose a year of my life
- every time someone pronounces Chipotle as "chip-ottel" I gain a year of my life because that shits hilarious
- there was once an hour long debate in the work group chat about what cookies were the best. Someone called someone else racist + claimed they called a homeless guy the n word
- in the same group chat someone once sent shirtless pictures of themself and also this

Dragie and Kitty
On a sunny day in July, Kitty sits staring out the window. Dragie went to go get dragon food and told Kitty to wait for him. Most of the time when Dragie goes to get food, there is a lot of it and very exotic. But the one thing that Kitty can also count on is the fact that Dragie knows what Kitty likes.
Dragie returns with four plates piled high with food. One plate had dinner foods on it; like cheeseburgers, steak, ribs, ramen, hotdogs, chicken, rice with cream cheese wontons, meatballs, pizza, and everything else that you could think of to have for dinner. Another plate had light but filling lunch foods on it; such as Sandwiches of many different kinds including subs, soup and stews, meatpies and hot pockets, salads, tuna, calzones, and many other kinds of food. The third plate had breakfast food on it; omelettes, crepes and pancakes, toast (of many kinds), olives, fruits, yogurt, sausage, bacon, bagels and english muffins, and other breakfast foods. The fourth plate was a dessert platter. The plate had tiramisu, chocolate of any and all kinds, fudge, candy, brownies, ice cream in little tart cups, creme brulee, snack mixes, and other desserts. Dragie lands next to Kitty as he curls his tail to lightly to get Kitty's attention. Dragie states "I have brought food."
Kitty turns around and says " I see," as he takes a blueberry from a plate as Dragie is slowly placing the plates down. Dragie takes a rib and begins to chow down on it. During at which time Kitty is thinking about what type of drinks would be the best to wash down the food with. He walks to the minifridge near the entrance to the Dragon and Kitty cave, feeling Dragie watching his every move. Kitty pulls out cold brew coffee, soda, juice, milk (including all kinds of nut juice and whole milk), water, and the flavouring syrup to change the taste of the milk if they wished. He walks back to Dragie,- who is smiling,- and places the drinks down. Dragie proceeds to eat his tender rib. Kitty walks through a few rooms and enters the kitched to make homemade tea and lemonade.
Dragie frowns when he notices that Kitty is not around him anymore. He is hestiant to leave his post "guarding" the food. But he is thinking all these bad things that could be happening to Kitty. 'Kitty can not fly what if he needs my help for things? What if the sugar or cups fell on Kitty and he couldn't get up? Oh no, what if something has already happened to Kitty? My friends and family are more imprtant than food. I must find him.' And so Dragie goes searching for his friend. He checkes under the sofa, counter, chairs, even underneath all the beddings. Nothing. Kitty was not there. Now at this point Dragie is panicking, although he will never admit it to anyone. He flies into the kitchen lost in thought.
Dragie is so lost in thought that he misses the trail of tiny kitty footsteps made by,- none other than his friend,- Kitty and lemon juice. But look, Dragie is flying to fast. If he doesn't slow down soon then he will crash into Kitty squeezing lemons. Oh no! I can't watch. A small voice can be heard humming a tune.
'I know that tune.' Dragie thought. 'That is the tune that Kitty normally sings when he is focusing. It's one of those native american songs that he tried teaching me. But that means that Kitty is close-by. I can sense it.' He snaps from his thoughts and notices how close he is to Kitty and takes a nose dive and then sharply spirals upward close to Kitty's face. Kitty makes a little squeek sound in suprise. Almost as if he was a kitten again roaming the house, tripping around, curious.
Dragie then lands next to Kitty, watching as the lemon juice is squeezed with nimble paws and the tea is the perfect colour of light roses, like a redish orange. The sugar is measured in the correct way and the lemonade is slowly stirred. Dragie is watching transfixed on Kitty's movements. It reminds him of his grandmother who used to make these amazing apple pies and very sweet lemonade. His tail swishing slowly in a happy manner. When the cap for the lemonade and tea has been put on, Dragie swoops in and tosses Kitty on his back and with his talons grabs the drinks. He is faster than the speed of sound and Kitty and him reach to where the plates lay in the same position in which, the two have left them.
Dragie places the drinks down and then places Kitty on the floor. To his amusement, Kitty looked like what would happen if Albert Einstein became Meowbert Stein. Kitty's hair is air blown and standing on its end, his whiskers are pulled back and his eyes are wide and open but not from his choosing. Dragie laughs a big belly laugh. It is a bit rough because of the lack of laughing like this.
"Sorry." Dragie says trying to try hide his smile. Kitty shakes and his sag back to their orginal position and his fur because all fluffy and soft. He shakes again this time his whiskers fall back into place, and his fur is back to how it once looked.
"It's okay." Kitty says as he tries to prevent his bangs from going into his eyes.
Dragie places a paw on his friend's. "Stop it. You look cute." Kitty huffs and leaves it. "But now it is time to eat."

Day 6-10 With my conclusion
Bet you're still wondering how it made me feel, and the nutritional benefits of each meal!
Day 6: The Protein rich
Breakfast: Oatmeal with blueberries and almond butter (380 calories) Lunch: Grilled chicken salad with mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, avocado, and balsamic vinaigrette (450 calories) Dinner: Pan-seared salmon with roasted sweet potato and steamed broccoli added a little butter for taste(500 calories)
Overall, I felt energized and satisfied throughout the day. Oatmeal is a great source of carbohydrates and fiber, which helped keep me full until lunch. The grilled chicken salad was packed with protein and healthy fats, and the salmon dinner was a great source of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins. Overall day one was a success and better than last week's choices.

Day 7 : Now continuing with breakfast NO CAFFEINE Still!
Breakfast: Greek yogurt with sliced banana and chia seeds (300 calories) Lunch: Quinoa and black bean bowl with roasted vegetables and avocado (450 calories) Dinner: Vegetable stir-fry with tofu, mixed veggies, and brown rice (400 calories)
quinoa I bought premade to down on time
for dinner, I used premade rice, trader joes sauce veggies and threw in some sliced-up tofu I cut earlier in the day ps I could not find the links online for the products if need be please message me
Today I tried something different and decided it was a plant-based day, and I felt it was going to be light and refreshing. Greek yogurt is a great source of protein and calcium, and the quinoa bowl provided a nice mix of fiber/textures and plant-based protein(had to use what was in the fridge but I prefer real meat). The vegetable stir-fry was a delicious and nutritious way to end the day.
Tumblr media
Day 8 : EGGSSSS

all these are easy to make and require one pan or pot to make
lot of times I sub to use premade rice or lentils to cut down time for wraps I used the carb smart
Today was a balanced day, and I felt energized and focused. Eggs are a great source of protein and healthy fats, and the turkey wrap provided a good mix of protein and carbs. The baked chicken dinner was a great source of lean protein, and the lentils provided a nice mix of carbs and fiber.

Tumblr media
Day 10:
Breakfast: Whole-grain pancakes with sliced strawberries and maple syrup (450 calories) Lunch: Grilled chicken wrap with mixed greens and hummus (400 calories) Dinner: Grilled salmon with roasted vegetables and brown rice (500 calories)
Today was a carb-heavy day, and I felt satisfied and full. The whole-grain pancakes were a delicious and filling breakfast, and the grilled chicken wrap provided a good mix of protein and carbs. The grilled salmon dinner was a great source of omega-3 fatty acids.
The most full I felt and I enjoyed this the least
Tumblr media
ALL DONE Here my thoughts
overall and all my first week was more carb-based heavy and I own recipes that I had looked up or got provided my second week was very light-based lean healthy meals that kept the carbs full and also helped with not feeling stuff and over fatigued I'm going to continue this path as time goes along with special treats on occasion! Such as going to Starbucks for a caramel macchiato or making a carb-heavy alfredo once in a while this has taught me to provide a better relationship with food and to always keep improving!

Rossi Pizza in City of Dreams Manila Offers Authentic Roman-Style Pizza
Rossi Pizza, one of the new attractions at City of Dreams Manila’s restaurant row at The Shops at the Boulevard retail strip, brings to Manila the Roman-style pizza that has been drawing pizza enthusiasts at its namesake predecessor in Studio City Macau.
With the popularity of the first Rossi Trattoria and Pizza at Studio City Macau where it is recognized as among the most authentic Italian restaurants, Geoff Andres, who was Property President in 2018-2021 at the Macau property before assuming the same position at City of Dreams Manila, invited the outlet to open a pizzeria at the Manila property. Rossi Pizza is a spin-off from Rossi Trattoria, known for its rustic menu rooted in the Italian tradition of cooking, with an expanded pizza selection boasting the expertise of Italian pizza masters.
It was also Mr. Andres who named the popular resort’s trattoria and pizza place after the Italian multiple Grand Prix motorcycle racer and considered one of the greatest of all time in his sport, Valentino Rossi, who was later lauded for reviving his hometown’s economy with a pizza place and other enterprises. This also explains the Vespa scooter that welcomes diners to Rossi.
Developed by Italian chef Rodolfo Serritelli who helms and opened the Macau outlet, the Rossi Pizza selection in City of Dreams Manila mirrors the Rossi Pizza menu at Studio City. The three different types of flours used by Rossi Pizza consist of the traditional 00 flour; malt wheat flour; and Urbano flour, which is made from the best white Italian wheats that trace their roots from an old grain breed to create a flavor profile that is the same as it tasted in 1900s.
Roman pizza undergoes 48-hour fermentation and proofing, blind baking it for two and a half minutes before baking it for the final two minutes with all the sumptuous toppings. Unlike Neapolitan pizza, olive oil is added in the dough, resulting in scrocchiarella (light, crispy crust). Chef Rodolfo’s pizza creations are the result of an intensive study of pizza in Italy and his family heritage with roots in Rome, where he showed an early passion for baking. To achieve the signature scrocchiarella dough, a Moretti Forni Series Evolution Modeli oven was specifically acquired for Rossi Pizza. It is an electric oven with a complete control over three heating zones (top, middle, and bottom) that can meet the required setting to guarantee the high standard of quality, consistency, and authenticity of the special, Roman-style dough.
With Chef Rodolfo’s guidance, City of Dreams Manila’s Markus Tauwald, Executive Chef and Hoon Sung, Executive Pastry Chef, recreated the intricate dough using Rossi’s signature mix of three different flours made entirely with Italian grains; water; olive oil; and salt. Chef Markus and Chef Hoon added their own two signature pizzas – the Capricciosa consisting of premium Italian cured meat such as prosciutto cotto and premium veggies like champignon, artichokes and olives; and Tonno e Cipolla, highlighting sustainable and locally-sourced tuna.
Among the other chef’s recommendations are the classic Margherita and Quattro Formaggi (with parmesan, gorgonzola and taleggio cheeses). Vegetarians will delight in the Funghi (creamed mushrooms, roasted mushrooms, vegan TVP and arugula); and Vegana (eggplant, zucchini, mushrooms, and onion). The 12-inch pizzas feature vegetarian and imported protein toppings.
Rossi’s pasta favorites are also available: Rossi’s Carbonara (spaghetti, egg yolk, pecorino cheese, and guanciale cured pork); Fettucine con Polpette alle Abruzzese (medium ribbon pasta, beef and pork mortadella meatballs, and tomato sauce); and Spaghettone “Mancini” alle Vongole (spaghetti with clams from Bicol in olive oil, garlic, and white wine sauce).
Salads and snacks include Burrata with Parma Ham, salad greens with caramelized walnuts, and arugula salad with homemade cured salmon. Completing the menu at Rossi Pizza are Italian desserts including the well-loved tiramisu; homemade gelatos in eight flavors: Coffee, Vanilla, Cherry, Strawberry, Mint Chocolate, Hazelnut, Mango and Tiramisu; and milkshakes in Vanilla, Chocolate, Coffee, Hazelnut and Strawberry flavors.
Rossi Pizza, an open casual dining place with the vibe of an Italian café, is adjacent to Jing Ting and Hidemasa at the Upper Ground level and seats up to 72 guests. It is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, visit www.cityofdreamsmanila.com.

Delish editors handpick every product we feature. We may earn commission from the links on this page. Including plant-based, omnivore, and vegan options! We’re not here to give diet advice. To everything there is a season: Sometimes, that might mean going all in on carbs, a la our pasta, pizza, or potato recipes. Other times, it might mean eating less carbs, like with our gluten-free, low-carb, or keto recipes. Perhaps you want to cut back on meat with our top plant-based, vegetarian, or vegan meals. (For Meatless Monday, perhaps?) Long story short, we’re all about eating what feels good for you. And if at the moment that's a high-protein meal? You’re in the right place. Meals higher in protein have tons of benefits. They'll help you feel satisfied for longer, keep you energized, and are often packed with good-for-you things like fiber or vitamins. Whether you’re here to achieve fitness goals, are dipping your toe into a special diet, or are just trying to eat a little better, we’ve got a recipe for you. Read on for 30 high-protein meals for ideas. And we’re not just talking meat here, people! Sure, meat is protein rich, but it’s not the only way to pad out a protein-rich diet. Plant-based proteins like tofu and beans, vegetarian options like eggs, and even some veggies (Brussels, corn, spinach…) are also great sources. Try our BBQ tempeh sandwiches, vegan meatballs, shakshuka, or caramelized tofu lettuce wraps to see just how well some of these protein sources can stand up to meat. If you’re an omnivore, you’ve got even more choices. Don’t settle for boring, dry chicken breast, pork, or fish—instead, use compelling flavors and cooking methods to amp up the drama and keep these proteins exciting. Case in point, our caramelized beef with rice, steak grain bowls, creamy tuscan chicken, and sheet pan bibimbap. Want more high-protein inspiration? Check out our top weeknight dinners featuring steak, chicken, and seafood, and our favorite vegetarian dinners too. This dish shouts comfort food, but it's also impressive enough to serve to dinner guests. Be sure to have a crusty baguette on hand, because the sauce is KILLER. (Not into bread? You can also serve it alongside rice or pasta.) Get the Creamy Tuscan Chicken recipe. To make the *perfect* Cobb salad, you MUST use homemade salad dressing. It's so easy to make, there's really no excuse. Just throw some red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, and olive oil into a mason jar and shake it out. Once you've got that, feel free to play around with the toppings you prefer (just use our ratio of protein to cheese to veggies as a guide). Get the Cobb Salad recipe. A double-duty chimichurri acts as both a marinade for the steak and a finishing sauce for the bowls. (Just make sure to toss anything that's touched raw meat before serving!) An additional not-too-spicy jalapeño sauce provides a tangy, creamy counterpoint. Hot tip: These sauces can go on anything and everything. If you have extra, use it on some black bean tostadas. Get the Steak Grain Bowls recipe. Few comfort foods satisfy like a hearty bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. These chickpea-based meatballs pack tons of flavor, come together quickly, and provide a good amount of protein and fiber. Get the Vegan Meatballs recipe. Tuna salad is one of our go-to healthy meals. We love it between two pieces of bread, spread on a cracker, scooped over lettuce, or even right out of the bowl. If you want to step up your tuna game, the easiest way is to splurge on olive oil-packed tuna—you'd be shocked at how much extra flavor it delivers! Get the Tuna Salad recipe. This easy weeknight dinner takes practically zero effort but is absolutely delicious and full of protein. The simple glaze is made with things many people already have in their pantry, like honey and soy sauce. Pair it with some broccoli or fried rice and you'll have a delicious dinner on the table in under and hour.
Get the Honey Garlic Chicken recipe. High-protein tilapia has a very mild flavor and is a great way to lure in non-fish eaters. We cook ours in plenty of butter, lemon, and garlic—a combo everyone can enjoy. Baking is quick and easy, plus it eliminates any chance of the fish annoyingly sticking to a skillet or grill. Win-win! Get the Garlicky Lemon Baked Tilapia recipe. When we say you won't miss the tuna, we mean it. This creamy, zingy, crunchy salad will satisfy all your canned fish cravings—trust us, the flavor is SPOT ON—but there's nary a flake of fish in this chickpea-centric dish. We like to keep a can of chickpeas in our pantry at all times, so a easy, lunch sandwich filled with this stuff always only five minutes away. Get the Chickpea "Tuna" Salad recipe. The sink is full of dirty dishes, the kitchen counter's a mess, and the crowd of friends in your apartment is getting hangry. Sound familiar? This caramelized beef was conceived as a fix for this very scenario. Rich in flavor and weeknight friendly, this dinner cooks up under 10 minutes. Not feeling beef? Riff on this recipe with ground pork, turkey, chicken, or even tofu. Get the Caramelized Beef With Rice recipe. Hasselback your chicken by cutting shallow slits into the breasts (don't cut all the way through!) and stuff each one with bacon and a creamy spinach and artichoke filling. Get the Spinach-Stuffed Chicken Breast recipe. In Korean, bibimbap literally means "mixed rice." It usually features white rice crowned with different types of meat and vegetable-based toppings—all individually prepared in a separate cooking vessel. This recipe, however, calls for cooking the toppings on a single sheet tray, which eliminates much of that work. Get the Sheet Pan Bibimbap recipe. The grill adds subtle, almost bacon-like smoky flavor to these tempeh steaks, but there's no meat in sight. Add a cool, creamy coleslaw and a toasted buttered bun for the perfect, protein-packed sandwich. Get the BBQ Tempeh Sandwiches recipe. When we're craving something hearty and healthy, this chicken chili immediately jumps to mind. White beans make it heartier than your average chicken noodle soup, green chilis and jalapeño add just the right amount of spice, and a dollop of sour cream lends a tangy creaminess that will keep you coming back for more. Get the White Chicken Chili recipe. In this recipe, we’ve taken our high-protein salmon patties to France with Dijon mustard. But this versatile dish also lends itself to other international flavors: Want an Asian flavor profile? Leave in the scallions and add some finely chopped garlic and ginger, plus a teaspoon of soy sauce. Or go Middle Eastern and “falafel” them by adding fresh cilantro and a half a teaspoon of cumin. Get the Salmon Patties recipe. Crunchy, spicy, creamy, and tart—this "chicken" sammie is total bliss. We replicated the flavor of a spicy fried chicken breast with protein-packed tofu, adding cornmeal to the batter for extra crunch. Don't skip the freezing step; it's what gives the tofu a more meat-like texture. Get the Spicy Fried “Chicken” Sandwich recipe. Sweet potato, black beans, pinto beans, and a whole bottle of beer (like Modelo) come together to make a super hearty meatless chili that's full of protein and flavor. Get the Vegan Chili recipe. This easy, protein-packed salad comes together quickly and works as a side dish, a great topping for tacos, or an appetizer with tortilla chips. Think of it as the most exciting parts of a vegetarian burrito bowl, unadulterated by rice, and hyped up by a little honey-lime action. Get the Black Bean And Corn Salad recipe. These meatballs don't have any bread crumbs and instead bind together with a little help from ricotta, Parmesan, and eggs. This makes them low-carb and full of protein. Fair warning, they're a little bit wet to handle when rolling. If you're having trouble, simply wet your hands with a little water and the meat mixture will be much easier to work with.
Get the Baked Turkey Meatballs recipe. This vegan recipe is a culinary road trip through Jamaica featuring sweet plantains, aromatic rice and beans, and tofu in a jerk marinade. To add a touch of crunch, acidity, and color we top it all off with a simple red cabbage and carrot slaw. Be sure to make extra slaw—you'll want to put it on everything. Get the Jerk Tofu Grain Bowls recipe. This dish's marinade of lime juice, chili powder, and cumin is so fire, you're going to want to use it on all your proteins. (Seriously, steak or chicken marinated in it will also taste bomb.) But the real gem of this recipe is the cabbage slaw. It takes just a few minutes to toss together and its brightness is the perfect complement to spiced cod. Get the Fish Tacos recipe. The maple rosemary glaze is great on this pork, sure, but it also helps flavor the potatoes. Swap out the spuds for carrots and red onions if you want to keep this dish low-carb. Get the Roast Pork Tenderloin recipe. It's kind of amazing how much of a difference brown sugar, garlic powder, and paprika (all ingredients you probably already have in the pantry) can do. Not only does the mixture add a slightly smoky, sweet taste, but it makes your chicken look way prettier. (Naked salt-and-pepper chicken breasts are a very sad sight to behold.) Get the Easy Easy Baked Chicken Breast recipe. Originating in North Africa and now strongly associated with Israeli cuisine, shakshuka is a dish of eggs poached in a spiced sauce of tomatoes and red peppers. Ours is only mildly spicy, full of flavor, and has perfectly runny eggs, making it a perfect high-protein breakfast (or breakfast for dinner!). Get the Shakshuka recipe. Thanks to a magical combination of brown sugar, cumin, paprika, and lemon zest, this is honestly one of our all-time favorite pork recipes. Round out the dish with some vegetables like grilled asparagus or grilled zucchini for a dynamite summer menu. Don't skimp on the chimichurri! Get the Grilled Pork Tenderloin recipe. Trout's delicate flavor is the perfect match for citrus and herbs, which is why we love to fill it with aromatics and roast it whole. Encasing the fish in foil steams the fish, trapping in all that delicious, buttery jus. Get the Whole Roasted Trout recipe. The secret to this dish's intense depth of flavor? A good, smoky ham hock. This and the split peas make this soup a protein powerhouse. Serve it with a slice of toasted sourdough, and you're golden. Get the Split Pea Soup recipe. Some piccata sauces use only lemon juice, but we opt for whole pieces of the fruit for ultimate citrus flavor. After a simmer in a wine-and-broth jacuzzi, the lemon loses its sharp bitterness and becomes sweet and tender. We dig it drizzled over plant-based, high-protein seitan. Get the Extra Lemony Seitan Piccata recipe. The combination of banana and peanut butter is totally iconic—and is really well-suited for a smoothie. After your first sip you're going to wonder if you're eating dessert or drinking a tasty and healthy, high-protein breakfast. (Hint: it's the latter!) Get the Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie recipe. Inspired by our caramelized beef with rice, this simple tofu recipe is big on flavor and protein. It'll also win over even the most reluctant of tofu eaters. Sweet, sour, and salty, these lettuce wraps are ripe for improvisation and can be served with all sorts of accompaniments, so get creative with your favorites. Get the Caramelized Tofu Lettuce Wraps recipe. This pork loin is jam-packed with a classic (and high-protein!) combo of apple, bacon, rosemary, and pecans, complemented perfectly with a tangy Dijon glaze. Pair it with some mashed potatoes and hearty roasted vegetables for a simple but delicious dinner all year round. Get the Stuffed Pork Loin recipe. source

Heat Up Office Morale with Cold-Weather Catering
As cold weather sets in, many of the most mundane daily tasks become more difficult. Taking out the trash becomes a dreaded chore, and even walking the dog is less enjoyable, and, depending on precipitation, the drive to work could become downright unpleasant.
Tumblr media
You’re not the only one dealing with the cold weather blues—odds are your coworkers are experiencing similar winter woes. Wouldn’t it be nice to surprise them with some comfort food in the middle of a chilly workday? For those days when “brisk” would be an understatement, here’s a list of delicious cold weather corporate catering options sure to lift spirits. Soups, Stews, and Chili One might argue that this classification is overly broad (looking at you, chili cook-off fanatics). Semantics aside, the overarching theme here is simple: A bowl of hot, filling, flavorful food. Whether you prefer a vegetable-forward stew or a spicy tortilla soup, there are all kinds of options that would work on just about any day in the northern hemisphere from October through April. Depending on where you live, you could have a wide variety of restaurants from which to choose. There could even be new options for you to explore. Be sure you order your online catering from a trusted partner who will ensure your soup, stew, or chili shows up piping hot. There’s arguably no better way to fight frigid temperatures. Pasta Like soups and stews, there are many variations of pasta to suit all sorts of palates. Do you prefer white sauce, marinara, or pesto? Would you like your pasta with chicken, seafood, or even a vegan option? There are tons of different kinds of pasta from which to choose, and pasta is always a hearty crowd-pleaser for winter meals. When you order pasta for your crew, take note of any dietary restrictions, particularly dairy or shellfish sensitivities. Hopefully, your office orders all its lunch catering through a partner that pays close attention to these crucial details as well. Finally, don’t forget the add-ons that pair perfectly with your hot pasta dishes. Caesar salad is a classic, and almost everyone likes crusty bread to dip in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Barbecue The word “barbecue” probably conjures images of the good old American classic: A plate of brisket, burnt ends, maybe some cornbread, and a heaping helping of mac-n-cheese. There’s nothing wrong with a reliable, stick-to-your-ribs meal like that! And while some people associate barbecue with summer cookouts, hot and flavorful ribs and chicken will surely warm up the coldest coworker. And, there are many types of barbecue beyond the four American traditions. Hawaiian, Korean, Lebanese, Filipino, and even German—there’s a litany of dishes to enjoy from all corners of the world. When lining up the best barbecue catering in your city, be sure to order extra sauce and napkins! Hot Sandwiches Sandwiches are one of the best options when ordering food for your office. They’re easy to eat, portable, and customizable to suit even the pickiest eaters. That’s why hot sandwiches are always a superb go-to on cold days. It’s likely that some of your team members prefer the classics: Philly cheesesteaks, meatball subs, and pulled pork sandwiches. But what about bánh mì, Cubans, and tuna melts? There’s a type of sandwich for everyone. Just don’t be that person who tries to convince everyone else that tacos and hot dogs count. Ordering the best sandwich catering Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, or any U.S. city has to offer is a fantastic way to boost morale despite the weather. NUTRITION (PER SERVING) Makes 5 Servings Calories 309.8 Fat 21.6g Protein 23.9g Net Carbs 3.7g Keto Tips No fruit, unless it’s berries in moderation… No wheat No sugar No grains No pasta No potatoes No rice No beans No starches No milk as it’s loaded with sugar. ( unsweetened almond milk is recommended.) HWC (Heavy whipping cream) is good in coffee or whatever you would like to use it for. Meat, cheese, eggs, vegetable, nuts, and healthy fats. It’s simple. Stick to that, and you should be ok! Vegetables that should be avoided are… Sweet potatoes Corn Peas Potatoes Carrots – can be used in moderation, just don’t go over board. They are full of starches and not recommended. Make sure to drink half your body weight In oz of water as well if you aren’t getting the adequate amount of water it can be bad for your kidneys! This applies for all forms of keto. Do not forget your electrolytes, they are needed daily. A good form of electrolytes is: Powerade zero Pickle juice Pink Himalayan salt added to your food Strict keto – counts all macros, do not eat processed foods. Lazy keto – doesn’t track all macros, still eats processed foods, as long as they are on plan Macros are a break down of the calories you intake for the day. Which should be… 5% carbs 20% protein 75% fat Carb manager is a great app to track macros Carbs are a limit – try not to go over your carb limit. Fat is a lever – you don’t have to meet your fat macro, it’s simply there to help you get full. Protein is a goal- try your best to reach your protein goal, but try not to go over. Excessive amounts of protein can cause you to stall in weight loss. Anything other than this food group selection would be considered low carb. Also, if you are in ketosis, and eat outside of this food group not only could it take you out of ketosis, but it could spike your blood sugar! Which can make you sick. Hope this helps. If you are a keto newbie- This should help Meats: ZERO CARBS • Beef- Ground beef, Steak, Ribs, and Roasts • Pork- Chops, Ribs, BACON, Loins, sausage • Chicken/Turkey- Thighs w/skin or wings are the best because breasts are high in protein. Today’s pointless fun fact about Bunni! I’m 74 inches tall and apparantly I attract coincidences like flies
You see, I havent ever measured my height since I was in high school, and I’ve just been saying ‘i think i remember it was something like 5′7″‘ cos 74 is my favourite number and I know I’m not 4 foot. But I just had the random impulse to measure myself with a tape measure and apparantly i’m literally 74 inches OKAY WTF Also apparantly in feet that means I’m 6′1″??? EXCUSE ME tfw u accidentally tall
I mean seriously ive never measured my height in like ever, i had no idea! It was like when i was 15 that some random doctor measured it last and i couldnt remember it cos it was never important to me. I always assumed my estimate of 5′7″ was taller than I actually am, I’ve always considered myself completely average height. I knew I was taller than all of my high school friends but i just thought they were short, lol! I mean, i suppose since a lot of them were cis men then I should have realized I was tall by cis woman standards. *shrug* But there were always people my age who were way taller than me so I never considered myself tall. I guess I was like ‘if im not THE TALLEST then I cant be tall at all’. I am medium tall! Yay! I am taller than average but not super tall! Thats good, i wouldnt wanna aim for anything higher cos I dont wanna draw any more attention to myself than I already do with my appearance, lol. Not that you can choose how tall you are tho, i mean it sucks that you can just be born looking ‘weird’ in some way and you have no way to change that. I dunno why height is even classed as a ‘weird’ thing, and stuff like having glasses is ‘weird’ and just... wtf they dont affect anyone why is it a big deal. But still I’m weirdly cheered up to know I was wrong about something, I guess? Even though I didnt want to be tall?? Its just an interesting surprise to know something I assumed for ages was actually wrong and all I had to do was check. Opens my mind to think that maybe other things I think are unchangeable are perhaps not, yknow? As a depressed person I think thats a good thing to remember. I guess I’m lucky I’m a weirdo who gets easily impressed by really random things, its the best remedy for anxiety disorders XD
Anyway im a bit hyperactive and also tired so this post probably makes no sense aaaa ive had too much sugar and pizza and they had this new meatballs soup thing at dominos too??? ive eaten way too much i think im gonna puke but also I’m ENERGY OVERDOSE AAAAA bunni should not be allowed to order pizza! but like let me waste my money on a good meal once a month yo also it was my friend’s birthday earlier this week and I was SO HAPPY that i was able to afford a £40 present for like.. the first year ever! hope that makes up for me being one day late cos of my shitty sense of telling the time omg ITS BEEN A REALLY GOOD WEEK i really love and appreciate my friends and apparantly I’m tall I’m so confused by life right now how can i be tall i thought all my body mass was wasted on becoming fat instead Lol no wonder everyone stares at me in the street if I’m both tall AND fat. and like.. i have blue hair. this actually makes me feel better now, they aint judging me I’m just a natural attention-hog and i cant control it. I FEEL BAD FOR THAT THO! I should try harder to be boring but i did that thru all of high school and i was really looking forward to dyeing my hair aaaa why am i getting sad now man im drunk on pizza WHEN U DONT EAT TH PIZZA OFTEN TH PIZZA IS REALLY TH GOOD also i dont get enough sleepe have a gud day everrybody i think im gonna take a pizza nap even tho its like midday

What kind of subs do you think the riddlers would be?
Riddlers as Subs (the kink and the uh...sandwich)
Riddler Headcanons i knew in my heart of hearts you meant sub/dom, but a bigger part of me couldn't get past the idea of them being sandwiches, so i did both 💚 request info • prompt list • send me a request • kofi minors DNI!! 🔞 cw for nsfw stuff: it's uh, it's just smut and suggestive things
Tumblr media
arkham
he's a switch through and through. like there's no way he's not. he's too tough and strong to not let himself dom a little bit (projecting that onto him, sorry) and to be honest he likes it both ways. if he's feeling extra sensitive or tired, all he wants is to be controlled and fucked. however, catch him on his better days and he can flip it like a switch and rail you like he was a pro. as a switch though, he needs a fair bit of aftercare, the kind he dishes out to you. he also thinks it keeps things equal and varied if you both take turns being the subby one. man is a blt with mayonnaise, on a seeded brown loaf, extra crispy bacon pls for the crunch and if you could remove the tomato seeds or he'll yell at you
batman unburied
an absolute princess/sugar baby since he enjoys it so much. he might as well get treated like the little angel he is before you pound him into a quivering mess. his preference is to lay there and be spoiled by you, getting well and truly fucked like he deserves. your aftercare better be of the highest order too. man needs to be soothed, told he's pretty, that he's a very good boy, have his hair played with, all that good stuff. laying on his back and taking it while he looks cute are his skills, top of his c.v. he likes to mix it up every time he goes, just to make things difficult and annoying. and whatever he gets, he's ordering it with extra pickles
gotham
here i go insisting that this man wants to be a pet again. matching leather collar, leash and gloves? little name tag that says riddler? made to do his silly little tricks like he's at a crufts show before you even think about touching him. likes it if you make him howl when he comes, he's such a good doggy. he's so good at barking on command, and he'll stay down on all fours until someone tells him he can stand up. his only bad habit is slobbering over crotches... tuna melt like you wouldn't believe, no pepper or salt please, extra mayonnaise, boy is as white as the bread he orders his sandwiches on
dano
oh ho ho. free use. something about someone wanting him and demanding him at any moment, it makes him feel desired. he'll bend over for you and work on his notes, his schemes, even his streams if you're feeling extra risky. he's so down bad for it, so ready to be dommed at the drop of a hat that he'll assume the position with his pants at his ankles if you so much as wink at him. he'll even beg for it if he's feeling confident enough. meatball marinara, extra cheese, toasted, i promise i'm not just blindly projecting here. also he gets subway a lot, it's his only hot meal
young justice
very into master/servant play. he just wants to please you, and do exactly as you asked. holding back any praise drives him crazy, something about the knot in his chest that builds up as he waits to be told he's good which never comes. the suspense might kill him but that's what he's living for. that and knowing that even if you don't say anything, he knows he's doing a good job making you happy. why else would you have him on his knees in front of you for a solid hour? he considers at an honour to even be asked. ham and cheese, not toasted, no veg or sauce. will make you go up to the counter to tell them he asked for no lettuce and tomatoes if they put them on.
capullo
total and utter brat for certain, like i'd put money on it. it would be too damaging to his ego for him to just outright admit that he's a sub, he needs to make it seem like he's annoyed you to the point where you have no other option but to bend him over, smack his ass, and fuck his face into whatever surface he's slammed down onto. hey, it works for him. he's pretty irritating on a regular basis, so he barely needs to try to get into the bratty mindset of "if you want me to behave you'll have to make me". phillie cheesesteak or a hoagie, and whatever it is has so much hot sauce on it and is massive, like he thinks he's in some sort of competition
telltale
aw buddy is a masochist, whether he likes it or not. even when he's getting the shit beat out of him, he gets hard a little bit. choke him with his own cane, spank him with your bare hand or with his gloves on, step all over him with big old boots on, slap him, punch him, bite him, and then kick him while he's down. he's used to bleeding profusely and being bruised internally, so you really have to make an effort if you're going to attempt to make him cum sourdough bread, lettuce, light mayo, one teaspoon of sweet chilli sauce and some shredded turkey and if anything else touches it, start over fresh.

Summary: Since there's no way you'll eat the things you don't like, even though they're healthy for you, Loki masters the art of hiding them in your food.
Warnings: Loki hides gross stuff in your food (Stuff I personally don't like, if you like them I fear you) Mainly fluff, but caution for the gross stuff and the betrayal.

Zucchini, meatballs, beans, mushrooms, green bell peppers, sea food...There were things in the food world you thoroughly despised. They either made you gag, or simply you just didn't liked the taste or consistency, so you just didn't ate them.
But your boyfriend is stubborn.
"Y/n, this is good for you" you shot at him an angry look and refused to open your mouth. In the end he got bored, so he took the spoon out of your hand and tried to feed you, which was not very fruitful. You put up a hell of a fight, so he gave up.
You smiled triumphantly as you walked to trash the pieces of zucchini into the trash can, then you walked out of the kitchen and went back to the room you two shared.
He smiled as soon as you left, he had a plan, and it was going to be amazing.
The next day he put on his apron that said ‘Good lookin’ is gonna start cookin’, and he made pasta, because he knows you love it, but he was clever. He let the mushrooms fry in soy sauce, then added a pinch of pepper, the green stalk of a single chives, and half a can of tuna. Then he added a tablespoon of cream cheese, heavy cream, and a pinch of salt.
Then he mixed everything together and let the sauce thicken a bit in the pan before adding the pasta once it was done. He made sure he cut the mushrooms tiny enough so you wouldn't notice them.
“Loki, this is incredible!” you moaned and praised his abilities, “I’ve been practicing” he bashfully smiled. Since the Avengers wouldn’t call him much for mission work, he stayed in your house bored to death. Until he found a cook book in one of the shelfs in the kitchen, and for pure leisure he began to read, then to put into practice, and ended up liking it, so he insisted that he would take care of the meals at home.
But, well, he wasn't called the god of mischief for nothing.
A few days passed, he put his plan to work again. This time, he used beans, meatballs and a bell pepper.
Since you've been craving burritos all week, he made a black bean paste and he crushed the meatballs you didn't liked from the day before and seasoned them with spicy taco seasoning.
Then he prepared the guacamole with tiny pieces of green pepper, avocado, tomatoes, and half an onion chopped in squares. Then he set up the shredded cheese, lettuce, and the yoghurt sauce in different plates.
All the spices covered the flavors of the things you didn’t liked. He watched you fill your burrito with a bit of everything he displayed. So naïve and innocently enjoying his deceiving cuisine.
The following recipe was a bit more elaborate, however simple. He made chicken nuggets without a hint of chicken. He shredded fish, seasoned with pepper, salt, oregano, and a few tablespoons of a highly concentrated chicken broth.
After letting the fish rest for a few hours, he rolled it with flour into balls in his hands, shaping them into nuggets, then dipping them into beaten egg and panko before frying. He accompanied the nuggets with a portion of sticky rice with vegetables.
Before, any type of fish would make you gag, but watching you eat and actually enjoy his creation, he realized how easy it was to fool your brain to make you love the things you hate.
But it wasn't just that you didn't like certain things, you had problems eating itself. You always had a poor appetite, according to you it was because you had a "small stomach", which was not true. He was there when the nutritionist gave you the list of things you had to eat for your body to regain its health.
Your skin was pale before, you had low energy, trouble sleeping, intense and changing emotions, emotional breakdowns, depression, anxiety. All that for not eating as you should.
Sometimes it was exhausting for him, having to fight with you over something as basic as your health, but he understood where this problem was coming from. The words that had knotted your stomach when you were younger, the looks, the insults. With the passage of time you only limited yourself to eating little to be thin as they wanted you to be, almost going to the extreme of eating cotton (said as an unrealistic humorous measure).
It was comforting for him to feel how your body recovered, your skin was softer, you had curves that became his weakness, your natural skin tone beautiful to look at, you also slept better, you went out for a run and to swim with him to do exercise and have fun.
You were noticeably better. You were you again.
Of course, his plan went to hell because of a little mistake with the mussel soup. You had eaten happily, but you found out because you saw him getting rid of the shells. "What is that?" your tone was severe, you didn't even abbreviate your words, you said all three with a space where he swore he saw fire come out of your eyes.
"The mussel shells, empty" and it was as if a stake had been driven into you, "But you know I don't like them!" even though you were angry he saw your outburst as just another pout, so he decided to handle the situation calmly, as if he were dealing with a child.
"But they do you good, you didn't even notice them, you never do" he ruined it again, he missed that line and you couldn't look angrier. "Loki Laufeyson, how long have you been hiding shit in food?" By shit he understood that you were talking about things that you did not like, so he couldn’t do more than tell you the truth.
"A couple of months now, but look at you, you're healthy, you feel good about yourself, I did you a favor" you let out a laugh, "A favor? I trusted you!" you walked up to him and poked a little too hard on his chest, you felt betrayed, deep down you knew he had a good and noble reason, but you were mad and betrayed, so you couldn’t think very clearly.
You just muttered a few things before walking away from him, “Y/n, please listen” you took the keys but stopped at the half opened door, “Did you made all this just so I could be pretty for you?” you had that insecurity for a while, heck, more like ever since you met him, Loki being so attentive with how your body looks now just aggravated your overthinking tendencies.
Your question simply threw him overboard, and his patience was at its limit. He took your arm and drew you to him, using his seiðr he locked the door, put you on his shoulder and walked to the bedroom.
"Loki put me down! Right now Loki or I swear you will regret it!" the poison in your words only came from anger, he knew it, so he paid no attention to them.
He dropped you on the mattress, his magic removed your clothes, leaving you in your underwear, "Loki what are you doing !?" He tugged on your arm and placed you in front of the room's full-length mirror. "This is how you looked before my love" the image appeared in front of you, you could barely keep your eyes on it, you did not recognize yourself.
"I fell in love with you looking like this, not knowing that you were hurting yourself. After that visit to the doctor I understood that I was going to lose you if I let you do what you wanted, so I took your health in my hands and I do not regret it" He spoke embracing your body, keeping your eyes on the mirror.
After a while the horrible image disappeared, you saw your current reflection and immediately smiled, the tears rolled down your cheeks, and he also stopped looking so calm, he hid his face in your neck, letting his tears spill down your back, it was many emotions.
“No, I did not make you change for my pleasure, I only helped you fix what years of pain did to you, now you are yourself, the one you always should have been, the woman I fell in love with is here" he pointed to your head, "And here" he lowered his finger to your heart, "The exterior does not interest me, but I could not let you be in danger".
You turned to hug him, your arms clinging to him as much as you could, almost trying to merge with him, "I’m so sorry, I was just angry, thank you so much Loki, you’re right, I do feel better” he lowered his body so he could be facing you. His eyes looked puffy but full with adoration and love.
“You have no idea of how much I wanted to tell you what you were eating” he laughed, you hit his shoulder in light annoyance, “You are ruining the moment” you giggled reaching for his neck to kiss him, “I love you” he said in between kisses, “I love you more”.

For the anon who needs quick meal ideas (if it is not too late):
Use frozen vegetables. They last for a long time, are easy to prepare (a few minutes in the microwave), and don't go off. Plus they are as nutritionally sound as fresh vegetables.
Use canned fruit with no added sugar (if you can buy this). All the benefits of fresh fruit and no preparation. Just spoon it onto your breakfast cereal and go for it.
Eggs are a quick form of protein. Boil them when you have an energy spurt and then keep them in the fridge for eating. I do 6 or 12 at a time. Fried eggs, omelettes and scrambled eggs are also quick when you have a bit of energy.
Baking sausages, steak, meatballs etc is easier than frying them. Just put them in the oven on a tray and go and rest until they are cooked.
Oven fish from the supermarket is also good. Twenty minutes in the oven and you can rest while it is cooking.
Tinned tuna/salmon/spaghetti and toast or crispbread makes a good light meal. So does avocado on toast.
Generally, bake or microwave your food instead of cooking it on the stove. Microwave is my preference as it is the easiest. Baking is also easy but I have to stay awake to take it out of the oven. With the microwave, it will just sit there until you are ready for it.
Make your stews and casseroles with lots of vegetables so they are one pot meals. A bit of bread and you are good to go.
Slow cookers are good if you have the energy to prepare the ingredients for it.
There is nothing wrong with tinned soup and toast for a meal.
Use the prechopped herbs and spices that come as pastes or in jars to add a bit of extra flavour to your food. It is easier to take half a teaspoon of chopped garlic out of a jar than it is to chop the garlic yourself. You can buy prechopped and frozen onion as well, and ginger, coriander, etc as squeezy tube pastes or in jars. Save yourself as much preparation time as possible so you can use your energy for whatever actual cooking you have to do
If all else fails, boil water and have a packet soup, or packet noodles, or packet mashed potato and cheese. It's still better than take away, and if you have a bit of energy you can add frozen vegetables and cook it together in the microwave.
Batch cooking is wonderful, but you may not have the energy to cook the batch in the first place. That is OK. Save it for when you have an energy spurt.
You can cook rice and pasta in the microwave. Either of those plus frozen vegetables (cooked in the microwave) plus cheese or boiled eggs or leftover meat is a meal.
You can cook bacon in the microwave or in the oven. Bacon goes with everything in my opinion.
My basic dinner is pasta or rice or potatoes, steamed frozen veges, and whatever meat I feel like cooking or is leftover in the fridge (a tin of tuna, oven fish, sausages, thin steak that cooks very fast, etc).
If you are cooking meat, cook the whole packet and you should get two or three meals out of it.
Tomatoes, onion and garlic make just about everything taste better.

Thank you!
Frozen veggies actually have more nutritional value than what you would buy fresh. They are flash frozen right away...so that is a good idea.

Top 10 sandwiches
1. (tie) "Tuna sandwich with pesto, capers, and red onion," from the "Hors d'Oeuvre" section of The Cheeseburger Love Story (a book about, among other things, the search for the perfect burger), by Eric Kampowski
2. "Cheeseburger" from The Cheeseburger Love Story
3. From Bistro Gras, a small French bistro in Somerville, MA, whose name translates to "Pizza Place" (after the other nearby pizza place, Pizza Gras) but in all likelihood refers to the owner and the Italian pizzeria/restaurant, also called Bistro Gras, he bought and renamed (because the original was a place where he liked to eat); the menu includes "Pizza Gras" (French for "Pizza Grasse"), as well as a kind of cheesy fish sandwich that is not really a fish sandwich at all, but which may or may not be my favorite sandwich of all time
4. From "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe," a book about, among other things, space travel, by Douglas Adams
5. A few years ago, I ate at a particular Mexican restaurant where the waiter brought me a bowl of black beans and rice which I didn't dare mix together because it had a huge amount of onion in it, and I also ate a "gordita de pollo" but I have no memory of what that was, so instead I will describe two sandwiches I ate recently that both had similar stuff in them, and then maybe you will know which one I mean
First, at a restaurant called Velvet Crevice (it has velvet for the walls) in a town called North Hollywood, CA, with (as the name suggests) lots of velvet on the walls, and a very large number of other "crevices" or "corrosive elements," including a rugby footballbarbie, which you could use as a kind of "fist" in order to try to knock people out, or who knows what. Anyway, the "crepuscular elements" also extended to the menu, with a category for the dishes in a section called "crepuscular," for example there was something called "Spicy Crepe," and a Crepe with Pomegranate Seeds, although the actual menu item I remember most clearly was this one, called "Crepe with Pesto Cheese and Pesto Sauce":
Tumblr media
In the middle there was a picture of a girl called "Crepe," doing nothing but looking kind of bored.
And second, over at Zaxs, there was a booth called "The Meatball Bar," which (as the name suggests) had the (obvious) "meatball" as the centerpiece, which could be dipped into a sauce, which also happened to be delicious.
Tumblr media
The meatball was small and round, and tasted kind of like bread. It was like eating a bread-saltine. There was a "Crisp" on the side. There were three flavors: "Sweet," "Savory," and "Chocolate" (though "chocolate" was not really the thing that was there to taste). There was also an actual "hour" in the shape of a ball, with a "hand" at the end. It was a pretty great lunch.
I ate those two sandwiches because they were good sandwiches.
