I really love your attention to detail in separating out the differences and nuances between the dance styles of the brothers - there are plenty of similarities and yet they're all different enough for it to be unique. Luci with his traditional yet flashy styles, often requiring a partner. I wonder which of the brothers cons into practicing with him the most? Probably Mammon

From this I hc that Levi gets asked to choreograph for several idol groups and every time he freaks out. But he knows his stuff!!

Ballet helps Satan keep up with his beloved cats. It's not weird to see him spinning around and lifting his cats around the House.

And yesss Latin Asmo. I was in a Latin band for the summer, and we played with several dance groups and let me tell you I loved the outfits so much. I was so jealous of the dancers. And how they moved? To our music?? Honestly a top experience 10/10

Beel is our muscle-y boy and yet despite how big he looks he's super agile and I love that for him. Your pick for Belphie surprised me somewhat, considering he's the one with the most recognizable dance style in the game, but it makes sense!! This boy can sleep in any position, anywhere, and he's definitely flexible enough to pull off some of the freakier stuff. Flash forward to MC opening random boxes in the HoL only to find Belphie impossibly curled up asleep inside them.

thor? my man is bawling his eyes out 100% he's just so happy for his brother dude!! he's so glad that loki finally found the one and his speech would definitely be like the really cheesy ones where he's struggling to speak through tears and cracking jokes sdkhs at the end of the night he's coming up to mobius and giving him the biggest pat on the back that makes the poor man choke on his drink a little sdkhds thor (who's most likely wiping the tears and snot off his face with a handkerchief) would then engulf loki in the most bone-crushing hug he can muster (loki pretends to be annoyed but it really means the world to him)

b-15 and sylvie would be the couple getting drunk off their asses and creating chaos at the after party sdbkjsdljs they're happy for mobius and loki but at the same time....free cake and champagne? yeah they're already there. i don't think they'd cry but they would both get slightly emotional (considering the fact that they're probably already hungover) during the whole ceremony and would ABSOLUTELY cheer and whistle when mobius and loki kiss. they're wearing sunglasses because yeah. they're that cool SDKJDS mobius thinks that this is hilarious while loki doesn't quite understand it sjdsdh at the after party they are SHOVING cake into the married couples faces and killing it on the dance floor and by killing it i mean messy breakdancing, trying to recreate the spin from dirty dancing, and spilling champagne everywhere djsjskj i love them-

ravonna is happy for the two of them, congratulating mobius with a kind smile and pat on the shoulder (much more gentler than thor that big oaf) and the same to loki. honestly i think she would leave a little bit into the after party, she's not that big of a party animal, unlike bee and sylvie dskjsd. mobius and her would share a conversation for a little while before that, maybe having a drink or two while she watches mobius smile lovingly at loki awkwardly attempting to comfort a very emotional thor.

casey doesn't really know what this event is all about, ravonna tries her best to explain it to him, but he gets the hang of it pretty quickly. he would absolutely cry, blowing his nose a few times and going to mobius and loki at the end of the ceremony to give them both huge hugs. he fucks it up on the dance floor though i swear that man is a dancing machine sdjdsk when its mobius and loki's turns to slow dance together he is crying once again and grinning so widely at the lovely couple, he decides that he really likes weddings now and goes around asking everyone there when they're gonna get married sdjkdsj when he get's to bee and sylvie they just mumble drunkenly and laugh, but casey manages to find out that they got married about 3 years ago. well that's great!! ...but why wasn't he invited??? >:(

AHAHGGGHD OKAY soooo mobius is very nervous (not as nervous as loki that poor soul is practically vibrating in place) but he's constantly fiddling with things, his suit and hair, which he decided to let grow out a few weeks before the wedding and actually doesn't mind it too much. his silver hair is a little slicked back, his black suit has a few accents of blue here and there to match his eyes. at the ceremony, when loki walks out he is done for skjds like it's a miracle that his jaw didn't literally hit the floor. he's staring at loki the whole time absolutely smitten, eyes watery when he reads his speech and says his vows and when it's time to kiss the bride you bet your ass that he puts his whole fucking being into that kiss; grabbing loki's waist as loki wraps his arms around mobius' neck, smiling and laughing and crying into the kiss while they whisper two "i love you"'s that only they can hear between very needed breaths. it's beautiful. it's everything that mobius has every wanted, everything he's ever needed, and it's standing right in front of him. years and years of waiting and yearning and dreaming and the real thing couldn't be better. mobius gets drunk but not too much because he knows hes gonna need to keep an eye on loki dsjksd

AJHAGHD BITCH OKAY SO LOKI- this mf is wearing the most exquisite dress ever, it's white (surprising woah dskjsd) but it just suits him so well and everyone is awe struck when he walks down the aisle knowing that he looks like a fucking dream. sylvie and bee are whistling and clapping while he does and he just rolls his eyes (he loves them though sjdkhsj) during his own speech and vows he some how manages to keep his composure, his voice wavering here and there, but he loses it completely while mobius reads his speech and when it's time to put the rings on (as does mobius) AND SPEAKING OF THE RINGS BRO they are both pristine shining gold with engravings in the inside of the band that say "for all time, always." mobius' has a royal blue diamond while loki's diamond is a stunning emerald green. okok umm loki gets drunk also and it is the best because this motherfucker is the most cuddly needy drunk and mobius finds it so endearing. eventually mobius says his goodbyes with loki basically clinging onto him and makes sure to call them a cab because he is a responsible man thank you very much sjihsd.

20 - Rockin' in Rio

Greetings one and all A quick return from the Bondi Bard. Last weekend there was a surprise party for Gerry and Sylvia in San Francisco, and judging from the email I got from Ratty a good time was had by all, and a few of our old mob were there. I would loved to have been there but I was committed to go to the wedding of a good buddy of mine. James and his new wife Suze got married on the original Manly ferry, which has been converted into an amazing houseboat and is moored at Balmain. The ceremony was at 7pm, just as the sun was setting to the left of us, and the Harbour Bridge to the right, very picturesque. An Aussie band called Leonardo's Bride sang their top five hit to the couple (of course I can't remember the name of it) and the girl singer has an incredible voice, and is also gorgeous and a very charming lady, who is shacked up with a DJ mate of mine. Lucky bastard. The booze was good, the food even better and a fun night was had. I can hear that question again, "Whats this got to do with Queen?" Well I shall tell you. James worked as an engineer at Metropolis Studios in London, along with the lovely Heidi, where the Queenies did a lot of recording, he also did some work with the band, but did a lot on BM's first solo outing. The next link is even weaker. I spent a good part of the evening chatting with Rob Hirst, who is the drummer with Midnight Oil, and is also a fabbo chappie. And being a typical drummer, while the Oils are not working he is recording his own solo album, as a singer/guitarist.......sound familiar. We had a couple of drinks and swapped a few stories, and as his wife was with us we managed to keep them all clean.

Staying on the subject of drummers I had an email, via Jacky, from a drummer who didn't seem that amused by the joke I told in my last ramblings, they might hit things but they are really quite sensitive deep down. So I suppose I should say I'm sorry, well I'm not. But here's another little jest to piss him off some more. Q: Whats the most asked question to a person with an IQ of 2? A: What sticks do you use?

Onto Sonia's request for some info on our trips to Brazil. What can I say about Rio except that it is a fun city and we all had a great time there, maybe that's why we went back a second time. On the first venture there I was still looking after the kit, and on one night myself and a few of the crew hit the town and got very drunk on the local drink, I think it was made from sugar, which I can pronounce but I've no idea how to spell it. (Help me out Sonia) We were in a bar getting louder and louder when a Welsh Rugby team came in, and they were big boys, and they are also on the tipsy side.

I'm 6ft, Jim Devenney makes me look small and Bob Bickleman made him look small, and the rugby players are of equal size, so we now have a contest on our hands as to which team can sing the loudest and dirtiest rugby songs. To start with the Welsh were winning because they had a couple of good looking women with them, and even though it was loud it was also in good fun. Devenney then comes up with the great statement that rugby is a girls game, the Welsh reply that at least they don't need padding when they play, unlike Gridiron, to which our team say, "OK, lets have a game on the beach tomorrow morning." This to me sounds like a really daft idea as I hate Gridiron, Rugby and Soccer, so one of the lighting guys and myself decided to leave, which means the Queen crew won by default cause neither team turned up on the beach to play, and as the two of us were leaving the bar we took their gorgeous ladies with us. Sorry Wales.

Our second visit to Brazil, when I was traveling with the band, was for the first Rock in Rio which was a two week festival with a host of big names on, each playing two nights. We did the opening night with three Brazilian acts, then Whitesnake who had Cozy as drummer, then Iron Maiden and then us. The second show was at the end and our opening acts were the B52's and the Go Go's. After the show I ended up in my room with a couple of Go Go girls, and boy were they party hounds. Apart from the bands I've mentioned there were other big names like Rod Stewart, AC/DC, Yes, George Benson and more. It was fun because we got to see old friends of the road, but it was also a nightmare cause we were almost prisoners of the hotel, due to the fact there were far to many fans outside the hotel, so we hung around the pool most of the time. The press were paying guests with poolside views so they could use the room and snap rockstars by the pool, which, of course, put an end to that.

The only thing left to do between shows was to get out of Rio and Roger and I heard of a great place called Buzios (Hope I spelt that correctly) which I suppose is about 100 miles away. Deaky and Wally decided to come as well, and being wimps they took a limo, unlike us drum type people, we don't eat quiche, we're gonna drive. The locals were all driving around in beach buggies, they look like fun, thats us, lets go. A buggy is basically a VW beetle with a different body, and our gleaming white buggy turns out to be the biggest pile of crap ever allowed on a road.

I take the wheel and we're not too far into our journey when 1st gear goes on the missing list, I don't care, I'm a good driver, I can start in 2nd. The gearstick decides to loosen on us, so trying to get it in gear was like stirring soup, who cares, onwards and by now our buggy decides to dump the clutch, so when it came to pulling away I just pushed the stick, and whatever gear it went in was the one we drove in. At least we can see the funny side of it all. What else can God give us to make this mission harder, how about torrential rain, which is great fun to drive in when you don't have a roof on the car. Needless to say the buggy rapidly filled up with water. Five minutes of this downpour and we get our next treat, the wipers pack up, so RT has to stand up and lean over the top and wipe the windshield so I can see where I'm going. By this time we look like a couple of soaking wet tramps, but we are killing ourselves laughing as we watch the red mud flow down the hillsides into the river we are trying to drive through. As we go round a bend we both screamed out "OH F***" at the same time. A huge truck was heading in the opposite direction to us, and as it passed at high speed a tidal wave of red water engulfed us and our crappy little car. I have to be honest here, that did wipe out a bit of the humour. We got to our destination, found the hotel and as the drowned rats walked in, the wimps were sitting in the bar, very dry with very cold beers. Next time, I'm with you Deaky. You would think the first thing I would want was a shower, nope, top of the list was a nice quiet chat with the company that rented us our friendly little buggy, and after a couple of well placed words they didn't charge us. Once there we had a good time. Oh, I nearly forgot, we did a couple of great shows as well.

The euphoria you felt after…the kiss — it was electrifying. It coursed through your veins all night as the two of you were in the bed you previously thought would be an issue, but now were silently thanking the inn owner for. You and Jaskier spent the rest of the night just laying there, shifting in and out of sleep, every so often giving the other a lingering touch on their face or hands or arms. It was the best sleep you had in a long, long time.

But of course, this euphoria couldn’t last.

As soon as you woke up the next day, you were determined. As exhilarated as you were from your kiss with Jaskier, your mind was occupied with another focus: your mother. After months of not having a real mission, or target, a familiar feeling coursed over you that you didn’t quite realize you missed: you felt like you had a purpose again, and this time it felt even more powerful because it was a purpose you gave yourself.

That didn’t mean it was easy. Weeks seemed to go by in a flash — weeks of you going page by page through Rauf’s old journals and notes. At every new entry you were practically fighting the urge to rip the pages to shreds, or burn them, or hang them and use them as target practice. It was safe to say your memories of Rauf were tainted by his last moments, and even though you had nightmares every now and again, nothing could beat the disdain you had for the man.

The research was torture. Complete and utter torture.

But, even as you struggled to search for any sign of your mother’s whereabouts, Jaskier was always there to distract you when you needed it. And distractions were something you needed a lot.

A distraction could come in many different facets. Training, drinks in the tavern, a walk in the woods. But it could also be slightly more…straightforward.

If you got too frustrated with Rauf’s words hanging in your mind, you’d get up from your seat and rush over to Jaskier, who was usually practicing his lute. He’d move it out of the way in time for you to practically jump him; you’d let him grab your waist as you sat in his lap, not bothering to explain as you shared a heated kiss. You two would move to the rhythm you had come to find, all before you removed yourself from him like nothing ever happened. By now, he was used to it — and neither of you were complaining. Again, it was one of the many perks to having him around while you were doing your research.

But even small breaks like that couldn’t keep you sane for long. And Jaskier knew that —which is why he so giddily told you of a wedding banquet performance he landed.

It was no surprise that he got the job — you’d seen how easy it was for him to perform, and his talent was something you had grown to admire. But the surprise came in the suggestion after his good news.

Jaskier’s lips straightened into a thin line before he grimaced, already knowing the words he would speak could be the death of him.

“I need a date.”

You straightened in your spot, nearly disregarding the pile of papers in your lap. “Huh?”

“For the wedding banquet? The illustrious performance? I need a date. A plus one, if you will.”

You deepened your frown. You, at a wedding? The only time you were close to a wedding was when you had a target who was an invite, and even then, you…eliminated him as he drunkenly stumbled just outside the banquet premises.

Now, you certainly wouldn’t let Jaskier go alone to a banquet, especially one with such a gathering. The two of you still weren’t sure if he was completely safe after your guild was destroyed, so even seemingly safe places were a risk. But for you to actually be present inside the party rather than lingering on the outside? That wasn’t something you were ready to be apart of.

You shook your head at the bard whose bottom lip stuck out in a plea, “No. Not happening.”

Jaskier groaned, “Come on, it’ll be fun!”

“Jaskier—“

“I’ve never taken you on a proper date, Y/N, and this is the closest thing we’ll get to one.” Your features softened at his sincerity. “I’ve been improving in training, not fighting the long, treacherous, hours I am forced to duel with such a wonderful human as yourself—“ Your scoff only made him louder, “I think I deserve a reward, hm? And you as well.”

He gestured to the papers in your lap, eyebrows raised in censure.

You clicked your tongue, “Your idea of a reward is dragging me to a wedding banquet?”

“One I will be getting paid heftily for and will have lots and lots of free food.” You raised your brows, not convinced. Jaskier groaned, taking your hands in his own. “What will convince you to say yes?”

You blinked, “Not much.”

The sternness in your eyes softened as he leaned forward, placing a soft kiss on your lips. It was so sweet, so simple, that you had to force yourself not to swoon when you parted. With his forehead to your own, he whispered, “Please?”

You sighed, regretting how easy it was for him to make you cave, “Fine.”

“Spectacular!” Jaskier jumped away from you, clapping his hands together with a wide smile. “I have your outfit on the way.”

Your voice couldn’t have been drier, “Great.”

As soon as you and Jaskier made it to the banquet, it was painfully obvious you had never set foot in one before. You were constantly tugging at the clothes Jaskier picked for you, feeling like they were too tight or too loose or just wildly uncomfortable. They were stunning, sure, but on you, it felt just…wrong. You were so grateful that Jaskier didn’t have a fit about you keeping your knives on you — the long sleeves and cuffs covered them up enough. That helped you feel at least a tiny bit more comfortable — that, and Jaskier at your side.

The two of you strode into the main hall like you owned the place. And by ‘the two of you’, it was almost 100% Jaskier. He smiled genuinely at the royals he passed, complimented people whenever he could, and even recognized a few of them. It was moments like this that you forgot Jaskier was put through all the events of the guild, and that you were apart of it. Before then, this was probably a normal occurrence. Performances might have been the craziest part of his life.

While all this was happening, you tried to look natural. You didn’t know what the proper etiquette of a date was, so you just let Jaskier lead you wherever you went. He sat with you at the table you were given, chatting lowly with you as the rest of the guests arrived.

“How do you feel?” He asked, his hand resting on your own.

You took a sharp breath in. I feel like I don’t belong. But the truth wasn’t something Jaskier should hear right now — not before his performance.

You sighed. “How do you feel? Are you ready to go up there?”

“I was born ready.”

“Of course.”

A strange silence fell over you two. It wasn’t something you were used to. Silence with Jaskier was the strangest feeling. It wasn’t like you two couldn’t just sit in each other’s presence without speaking— the difference this time was that Jaskier was looking at you like he wanted to speak, but couldn’t find the words.

But soon, he did. “What do you think of weddings?”

“I don’t, really.” You turned to him slightly, removing your gaze from the people around you. “Why?”

“I’ve been to a lot of banquets, a lot of weddings. No matter how many times I perform, nothing quite beats the atmosphere of true love, does it?”

You searched his face, then shrugged. “I suppose not.” Quite frankly, you didn’t know what atmosphere he was talking about. The only things you noticed in places like this were the amount of people and the possible dangers. And you always made sure to take account of every exit, just in case. But love? And true love, at that?

You were still mulling his observation over when he spoke again, “Did I tell you that you’re wonderful today?”

The heat rose to your skin quicker than you could cough out a ‘yes’. Because, indeed, Jaskier had made a point of complimenting you, and had done so multiple times on the way over. And every time, it didn’t fail to make you flustered.

Being with Jaskier didn’t mean you were used to his charm.

By the time your face finally cooled down, it was time for him to perform. He patted your hand, a silent reminder that he would be back very soon. But while he performed, his eyes would only wander from yours for a fraction of time — and when they found yours again, they seemed starved of your presence, starved of your gaze.

As you watched him play, you were taken back to one of the first moments you shared. He had let you play his lute — or, try to. Watching him now, you didn’t even want to recall how awful it had sounded when you did it. But you supposed that wasn’t the point. Good sound or not, it brought you two together.

The night was going longer than you expected. If you were being honest, you were a little bored. There was no point to a banquet other than having a good time, no fights to keep your mind occupied — well, except for the two men in a fighting match over who killed more elves. Other than that, all you could do was watch Jaskier perform and wonder how much time was left in this ‘atmosphere of love’.

Eventually, Jaskier’s performance was concluded. The band behind him continued playing, becoming immediately worse as soon as he stopped singing. You smiled as he accepted compliments from guests on his way over to you. Though you were a bit restless in environments like this, seeing him in his element was always worth it.

That’s what you thought until he came up to you, reaching his hand out for you to accept.

Your smile immediately turned into a glare. “You are not making me dance here, Jaskier.”

Jaskier laughed, making your stiffened body relax, “No, I am not.”

Though you were relieved, you frowned, taken back by his words. “Why?”

“Because you don’t like it. Last time I tried to make you dance with me you told me you’d rather stab your own eye out.” Jaskier let his hand fall to his side. “Why would I make you do something you hate?”

You blinked, still surprised by how well he knew you. “What do you suppose we should do now, then?”

Jaskier looked around him, “Well…we could leave.”

“But—“

“My performance is over and this wedding banquet is a drag.” Jaskier’s smile made your heart leap, “Besides, we can have much more fun back in our room.”

It was impossible for you to miss his wink, and still, it made your skin feel like it was on fire.

Wordlessly, you let him take your hand, and the two of you practically ran out of that achingly boring banquet.

“Well that was a bit dull, wasn’t it?”

Jaskier dropped his lute into its case as soon as the door was closed behind you.

You lifted your leg onto the nearby chair to remove your knives, “Apart from your performance, I would have rather listened to Geralt snore.”

“He would kill you if he heard that.”

You snorted, “He would try.”

With a huff, you put your knives on the table and looked down at the outfit Jaskier chose for you. After this long of a night, they didn’t feel as uncomfortable as they did before — still, you didn’t think you would ever wear it again. But something about the way Jaskier was sitting in the chair beside the bed, rolling up the sleeves of his undershirt, it made something shift inside of you.

With a click of your tongue, you walked over to Jaskier with your hand stretched towards him.

He frowned, “What’s this?”

You shrugged, “I owe you a dance.”

“You don’t have to—“

“I don’t like dancing. In public.” You pointedly looked around the room, then back to Jaskier. “I don’t see anyone but us in here.”

To his silence, you stretched your hand further, urging him to take it.

He did.

In the silence of the room, you felt like everything was so loud. Jaskier fell into position so naturally that it took you aback — his hand fell on your waist, his other one grabbing your own in a simultaneously strong and soft grip, pulling your body close enough to his to feel his chest rise and fall against yours. And just like that, you were dancing.

Okay, Jaskier was dancing. You tried to follow as closely as possible, but dancing was never something you were taught as a child. Or an adult, for that matter. And even though it was commonly compared to fighting, you couldn’t seem to get the hang of where your feet should go and when.

It was the third time you stepped on Jaskier’s foot when he snorted a laugh, “You need lessons.”

You finally looked up from the floor and back at his face, no longer worrying about where your feet went. “Shut up.”

“Okay.”

His head dipped closer to yours, forehead resting against your own as if asking for permission for a kiss. You both knew he didn’t need it, but the gesture made you smile. And then your eyes fell to his lips, smile falling as you closed the remaining space between you two — and even though it definitely wasn’t the first time, the kiss engulfed you in that euphoric feeling your remembered so clearly, the feeling that followed you ever since you and Jaskier became a ‘we’.

And suddenly, that ‘atmosphere of true love’ that Jaskier mentioned earlier that evening…it didn’t seem so foreign anymore.
