Art trade with Plaidartist on Insta of her oc Pepper! She is ridiculously cute but I lowkey struggled for a bit because I don’t draw animals nor anthropomorphic characters very often so there was a bit of fiddling - the lower sketch of Pepper stretching was kind of me figuring how to draw a leopard gecko in my style, the second sketch of a grumpy Peps in a kids school uniform was more me figuring how to make her more anthropomorphic. Overall quite happy with the final product!

It would be a complete lie if Kanda wasn't aware of how absent-minded she can become when drying her flowers. She knows what is around her but she doesn't necessarily pay attention to it all in the bustling city.

Her flowers are her comfort, her reason to come back home and put them in her journal with their region and name. Each one gets a press in the journal while the rest will get hung to dry and she will go out from her apartment on a sunny day to really start their pruning. She doesn't go far but most locals of the area know not to disturb her when the raggedy blanket is spread out and flowers or even various herbs are placed directly where the sun beams touch the hot ground. Spring and Summer are her favorite seasons and the time has come where she is at her most busy.

It's funny how once she is done layign them out and watching the flowers, once in a while she will get people asking if they could purchase or even place an order. Once in a while if she knows there is enough but today is her last patch of daisys'. and of course in her placement and fixing her set up, her moments might have just inconvenienced a passerby, only aware when there was a thud behind her.

She turned and saw that her antics backed her up into a stranger and already she was blowing and apologizing, "I am so sorry! I didn't see how far I had come into the walkways. Are you unharmed?"

Well, it was @gloryforthegreedy who came up with this extremely plausible and truthful theory headcanon, so I'd like to hear her insights on this first and foremost 😌

However, if you're interested in mine...

I'd imagine there was maybe first just some strange tension between them which they couldn't really explain. Perhaps there'd been some suggestive conversations and subtle flirting from both parts (with both of them going all !!!!! omg what's happening 💞💞💞 inside), and then it would just...happen? Like, it would be hard to tell who initiates it or makes the first move, because maybe they both do. Maybe there's a deep (sober) late-night converstation on the bed in their shared hotel room and they just get caught up staring at each other and then they're kissing all of a sudden, and when they think back to it later - because hooooooo boy they do be thinking about it a LOT afterwards 🙃 - they can't really say who leaned in first or which one of them was doing most of the flirting and so on 😩 As for what they did, in my visions there were just some needy handjobs or blowjobs or maybe just grinding against each other (rather than going full-on anal lol, if this were to be their first time getting intimate, and perhaps even their first time getting together with another guy (or at least with a guy for whom they have (suppressed) feelings, as opposed to having fooled around with male friends when they were younger?)

As for what happened immediately after, I'm sure they did a bit of nervous, giggly cuddling, because the sex had been great and all, and they managed to push away any panicky thoughts until morning. So the morning after, maybe they tried to act all casual and like it was no biggie, just two bros having some fun together, right? At this point we may entertain ourselves with the idea of there being friends-with-benefits arrangements between some band members earlier (like, way back in the day, or maybe even currently?), so maybe they think they, too, can pull off something like that. But soon enough they begin feeling awkward around each other; blame it on the lack of actual communication maybe, but also definitely because oopsiedaisie, maybe they can't pull off a fwb because feelings!! 😭

It’s a particularly cold day. The ground sparkles beautifully with a coat of snow, as it continues to fall. William Vangeance, the former captain of the Golden Dawn, has a plan for today. The plan in question was to have a proper conversation with Yami about what happened a few months before. William heads over to where Yami is on his broom. He observes the snow and the cold weather, and feels thankful that he wore a warm outfit for today. Once he gets there, he steps off his broom. They then notice each other through the snow.

“Heh, what’s with the fit, Goldie?” Yami asks jokingly, noticing that it compliments his eyes perfectly. He has to admit that William looks rather pretty in the outfit.

“Why aren’t you wearing a jacket? It’s snowing,” William asks, seeming less upset and more perplexed that Yami decided to wear a tank top outside.

“It’s warm, you just have to get used to it,” Yami scoffs. Thanks to being through lots of weather, he can handle more cold environments. William is more sensitive to the cold.

“Well, you may get sick more easily,” William comments, offering his scarf. Yami puts his hand out in response.

“Nah, I’ll be fine. Also, you might need that scarf, or you’ll turn into an icicle,” Yami laughs. William is about to tell him about the conversation he wants to have, but then realizes that the snow is probably not the best place to talk to him for a long period of time.

“So, did you want to talk about something?” Yami asks.

“Well, I was going to ask you if you wanted to go have dinner together later… I need to speak to you about something in a more calming environment,” William asks, adjusting his scarf.

“Alright, I guess. See ya later,” Yami agrees before leaving by broom. William does the same soon after. He slightly worries about him sometimes. Also, he doesn’t know why, but he keeps getting butterflies in his stomach around him. This has happened for a long time, so William doesn’t question it.

He begins to get ready to go to a local dinner place. He dresses in warm clothes once again. As William adjusts his sweater, he wonders why he’s so worried about his appearance to go out. He decides not to question it, either. He leaves once again by broom. Once he steps into the restaurant, he looks over and sees Yami, in the same outfit.

“Why’d you get into another outfit, Goldie? You takin’ me out on a date or something?” Yami laughs. William chuckles as he sits down, wondering if Yami is judging him for how he dressed for the occasion. He has to admit, it slightly feels like a date now that Yami mentioned it. He’s only there to discuss what happened a few months ago, but this feels like slightly more than that. After they order their drinks, they notice the sunset outside the window next to where they’re sitting.

“The sky sure looks pretty, huh?” Yami chuckles, looking over at William. He has to admit, his scars look pretty in the lighting, too. He blushes slightly, noticing William’s outfit, and how it looks good on him, as well. Then, the waiter puts a bowl with bread on the table in between them. As soon as William looks over at Yami, he looks away from him. They order their food, and the waiter walks away.

“Can I still call you ‘Goldie’? You’re not captain of the squad anymore, aren’t you?” Yami asks, reaching for a piece of bread from the bowl.

“That’s alright with me… I really like your nicknames,” William admits as he reaches and grabs a piece of bread as well. Their hands touch. Neither of them realized that they both reached for the bowl at the same time. William pulls away, his face slightly red with embarrassment.

“Something wrong, Goldie?” Yami seemingly teases, but in reality, he’s actually oblivious to how William feels. William is the same, somehow. After a moment of them recollecting themselves, they finally look at each other.

“So… I was going to speak to you about the incident a few months ago…” William starts. Yami’s eyes narrow. He remembers how Julius was possessed by the other soul in his body that he himself didn’t know existed. He also remembers that Jack died during the battle, and the kingdom is still being repaired at the moment.

“Well, I’m thankful that at least most of us made it out alive… and old Julius isn’t evil, either,” Yami comments.

“Yeah… are you alright after what happened, as well?” William asks. He didn’t need to elaborate, as they both knew that it shook them both up that Julius, the man who took them both in and gave them a place to thrive, happened to have another soul residing in his body.

“Yeah, I’m alright… again, I’m glad Julius didn’t have bad intentions and it was just the other guy,” Yami looks back on the incident.

“I’m glad we made it here together,” William sighs, looking up at Yami. He nods in response. After they both finish their dinner, they exit the restaurant. Then, Yami takes his chance to make a move with William. He picks up his hand and kisses it. William’s face turns red, and not just from the cold.

“Just wanted to say, you sure look pretty without that mask,” Yami chuckles. William stammers, not knowing how to react for a moment.

“T-Thank you,” he manages to respond. They didn’t need to say anything to each other in that moment, because they both knew that this is what they were now. Their relationship has been a chrysalis for all this time, and just this evening did it transform into a butterfly and take flight. They both went their separate ways by broom, hoping to see each other again in the near future.
